Immune /natural killer cell treatment when ttc or pregnant (aka the 16th pred thread!)

Thanks Hula - i have no idea about my amh but I know my fsh was slightly raised. Not to a worrying level yet but I want to make sure I am producing good quality eggs. Ordered a book off amazon today called "Its starts with the egg' so will read that and adapt my diet accordingly.
What I really hope is that my cycle goes back to normal quickly. That's one of my biggest issues. My body seems to take ages to settle after a mc... I'm going to ask my acupuncturist to do some intense balancing on thursday.... on all levels. Physically and emotionally.

Seeking - i think its a very good idea to pay to get dr s lab to do it, would be the last thing u need if the nhs messed it up.

I ve been very temped to do dhea (re my age and low amh). I asked louise and she said there was minimal evidence for it but if you look at the centre for human repro (a top amercian ivf centre) they have some compelling arguments and even a liscenced product (fertinatal) but its a bugger to get it from the states.

My nutrionist couldn t specifically recommend it because it was a hormone but said many women were recommend it by ivf clinics.

I think its preferable to monitor your dhea and testosterone levels but lots of women seem to take it without that.

Think once my last humira is out of the way i ll prob give it a go....

Hey Snoopy, hope you're ok today. Sounds like you're a lot like me...I e got two cats too who really are my fur babies! I googled German shepherd breeders and just looked through a lot of breeders. Double checked that puppies will be Kc registered etc. I think I'll get a feel when I go to actually see them in a fortnight. I think a lot of the time you get a feel for a breeder.. As long as the puppies are kc registered, well socialised and have had their first injections I think you'll be ok. He'll come home at the end of July
Jurassic Park was really good. Yes the raptors are kind of pets but not. He 'trains' them but respects that they're 'wild'! It's well worth watching. Bloody ridiculous at times but entertaining and requires no brain power.
I've decided to pay the £365 to get DrS' lab to do the karotyping. I'm worried it'll get.l lost in the NHS system so we'll suck up the cost.

Pa metformin was for a pa1 mutation they found. It's something my Clinic do. I'm homozygous which means I make too much pa1 and clot. So need metformin to lower pa1. Usually It's used for pcos. It's the worst drug ever! I've hated it but just be done.

I'm taking clexane for that reason I know Coventry use it too. But don't think Mr s believes in it! Maybe ur local Rmc would give it? It's hard to know wot works or weather it's a combo...

Oh and I haven't tried the dhea but I tried ubiquinol, my brother used it when he was training to get into the army and said it helped his recovery time , but then I ran out. Maybe I should try it again.

Apparently research shows that clexane and heparin protect the trophoblastic cells that become the placenta. So I might pester Dr s for it next time, I've seen some women with no clotting issues using it.

I really hope that the erpc goes smoothly and they manage to do the testing. The nhs frustrates me because so much comes down to how much the patient is willing to fight for a decent standard of care. I know that they are stretched but there seem to be a lot of staff who couldn't care less. I see it a lot of the time at work, especially with elderly patients. What worries me specifically about our situation is that there are numerous studies that show TLC from medical professionals significantly improves our chances of having a baby. I still haven't heard anything about my nhs referral.
When is your puppy coming home? Can I ask how you found your breeder? I've looked at the kennel club website and they only have a few listed. I want to start sending out emails introducing us and finding out when puppies may be available.

Well we were painting an outside wall this morning. As usual the cats were following us around and both decided to run down the wall and run inside leaving blue footprints everywhere! They do this every time we paint something haha we bought them a load of new toys yesterday and they are very pleased, have to look after my fur babies.

i've ordered some after a bit googling from Biovea. If you search mumsnet for it quite a few old threads pop up. I'm going to speak to my acupuncturist about it on Thursday and see what she says and maybe start at the end of the week. It does seem to be used be quite a lot of ivf clinics. I want it more to improve my egg quality so there's less risk of chromosomal issues to ruin things.

My colleague had ivf. Her amh was low for age-she was 33 but runnin an amh for 37year old. She had to take dhea for 3 months before. She did and it made no diff to her amh! But her ivf worked and one beauitful baby boy. Who knows if it gave her a boost but the figures didn't reflect it. But ivf clinics do seem to like it. U have to get it from USA I think. It's a testoerone derivative so spots and hair on chin are side effects!
Hydroxy started today im not on it for nk cells it's something to do with the placenta so didn't need to start it as early. Didn't quite understand!

Wow Seeking, DEHA looks like it has so many benefits! Are there any particular brands/forms that are recommended? I know sometimes you need to make sure to get the right kind/version of certain vitamins.

Also doing some research on DEHA... Anyone tried it.

Right I'll get Amazon. Going to concentrate on getting in tip top condition so that hopefully next time we're ok. If I can do as much as possible then at least I can't look back and say I didn't try.

That's great news! Fingers crossed!! Clexane is a blood thinner right? What's Metformin? Have you been on hydroxy for a while now? I've just added the ubiquinol today, folate (instead of folic acid, as it's meant to absorb properly), vit D, pregnacare plus, vitamin B6, pred, prog, aspirin, hydroxy. Proper drug cocktail!

Trying, I use to do prog vaginally then tried it rectally & have never gone back (no pun intended). No mess, no worries!

They grade the embryos. And one is a lower grade but the other 5 are strong! She said grades change daily but for now things were looking good :)
It's day 3/4 they start dying...But as long as I have one on day 5 im happy! I just hope I have one.

I'm the same I always need a plan. That makes me feel better....urs sounds very sensible although I'm sure boderline motility isn't anythingn to worry about. I have my dh on cocktail of meds but it's hasnt helped! His issue is obviously something which needs further Ix. It's why I was devastated when I found out the sperm was going down and we had to think about freezing. (I burst out crying infront of consultant after egg collection I think he thought I was mad!) My back up plan if this doesn't work was 10 rounds of Isci until one did!!!

Now I feel like we may not get that many as frozen sperm doesn't always defrost and what if next sample there is no sperm?? etc. Anyways that's another drama for me to deal with once I know the outcome Of this cycle.

Take it easy today. I'm goggle obssed and spent all day yest on it. I'm going to step away from it this weekend and try make sure dh keeps me busy!

I would have been 12 weeks exactly this birthday... I really hope this time next year I'm actually looking forward to a nice birthday. What date is yours? Mines 24th.
DrS did warn me that the NHS are pretty unreliable with karotyping (losing it, late testing etc, it is a worry which I why I'm considering paying for his lab to do it.) it such a horrible thing think about on top of everything else.

I'm manically googling ways to improve egg quality and dh sperm count- he had it in November which resulted in slightly lower than normal motility so googling that too. Going to go back to the Drs and get that re Tested.i feel better if I'm armed with a plan.

Ps we are both 31 days within Eachother. Let's hope our 32nd bdays and filled with some more happiness (ONCE AGAIN I say this)

Hi seeking.

miscarriages seem to plaugue my bday too. Miscarriage one on my holiday for 29th bday, 3 months laster number 2 and miscarriage 3 the week before my 30th. Needless to say crying and drinking copious amounts of wine to get through the day helped slightly numb the pain. I had taken a week off during my 30th thinking I would be like 11/12 weeks and want to stay at home but instead buggered of to siciliy with dh. This time it's my bday in 2 weeks and I'm not going to test early as I refuse to be in floods of tears again. I tell myself every bday will be different but sadly I'm in the same childless situation. It's so shit. I hate my bday now! My dh bottles things up too he does talk to his brother sometimes but ow he just keeps it in. Wondering if all the stress has affected his sperm but surely it can't nose dive so much with stress.

I'm so cross about the karotype test! I was thinking, whilst ive been tossing and turning I was thinking "I hope seeking gets this done" the nhs with its strict rules etc. I think the nhs is great the sometimes they refuse to bend for no reason other than the computer said so. Also make sure u tell them a million times on the day. They managed to put mine in the wrong pot once and they didn't send it off the second time to say I was fuming is an understatement. They don't do it that often so I think they were not used to the pots and paperwork.

Give a f if it wasn't on a scan?? What the hell does that have to do with anything? Surely they are doingg the d and c as there was something on a scan somewhere?!

We went to the cinema last night, saw the new Jurassic Park film. Needed a distraction from my own mind. I can't believe I'm going through all this again. How can one it be fair. We've been through so much already. Dh doesn't really talk, he bottles stuff up. He told his dad yesterday. I'm glad I did tell some friends I was pregnant - I don't think I'd have been able to just pretend everything was ok. It's my birthday next week and obviously not in the mood for any kind of celebration. That's 2 years on the trot I've had my birthday ruined by MC. Had my erpc the day after my 30th last year.

Drttc I hope you get a scan sorted soon. Sometimes the NHS are fab and at other times they don't know their arse from their armpit. Had to fight for chromosomal karotyping with consultant yesterday as she said that because 2 of my pregnancies weren't confirmed by scan technically I wasn't eligible. Blood boiling was an understatement. Thankfully because I was under consultant care for rmc I managed to fight and get it sorted. I could still have had it done privately and sent to the lab DrS uses but that's £365 and we've already spent so much. I'm still undecided though as his lab takes 3 weeks and the NHS could take 8+ weeks.

Morning girls. I have not slept well! Waiting anxiously for my call..poor dh has been up since 3! Yes snoopy I have the embryoscope it's meant to improve rates of preg and Yep I get a video link so I can see them grow! I don't want to watch it yet though!
