It's weird hula. At the time I didn't find it thatttt bad but I think I blocked it out as was twds something postive. But now Im like aghhhh, not looking fwd to it all again. And was telling my dh yest that although I didn't complain it wasn't nice and I did find it hard (don't think he realised how shit I felt some days as I didn't want to complain too much as it was hopefully going to land me a baby and I just had to get on with it!) Ive def got more fight left in me so I'll grit my teeth and get through it! Argc will be a whole new boot camp though!
But overall it's actually doable, it's really not that bad and it's just for a short amount of time. I just kept thinking of the end! incase u and dH are wavering!

Sorry ur working, hope it's not busy. Wish life would piss off and be easy when we all go through this stuff. But no, shitty clients, preg mad women at weddings and all the rest still haunt us!

Hula2 · 06/08/2015 21:03

Sorry hit the post button before i d finished ! I was trying to say i m kinda glad that we don t have it as an option because it sounds hardcore to go thru and i m not sure id be strong enough, i really hope next round is the one for you.

Sadly working on call this weekend so nothing nice to soften the impending af blow (and complaining client added to my shitty day today) but ds is a great comfort and still of age to give plenty of cuddles that makes everything better Smile

Tryingno1 · 06/08/2015 20:53

I can understand u not going down that route...iwe all just have to keep going and choose the paths we feel we are able to do...once we reach our personal end of the line the journey stops or changes...

Hula2 · 06/08/2015 20:49

In some ways at least with my age and amh meaning ivf chances would be so low its something we ve just ruled out as i

Tryingno1 · 06/08/2015 20:33

I take back my frozen moment as I know it's a luxury to have anything to freeze and I shouldn't expect it just coz I did this time around!

Tryingno1 · 06/08/2015 20:27

I think I am insane already!!

I'm not gonna lie, I'm dreading the whole process! I'm hoping I'll have some frozen ones again (famous last words) and I won't have to keep going through the whole process again as a frozen cycle is easier so I hear. I have 3 up here, if I get another 2 frozen at argc I'll have 5 goes plus the fresh at argc-taking me to God knows how many miscarriages if no sucess as I work trough them.... I'll be well and truely battered and done by then and will give up. So I'm hoping this is my last cycle (although ive realised nothing in life goes to plan and u can't count on anythung, I'll end up with nothing to even transfer this time knowing my luck!)

Hope u have something nice planned weekend hula, give ur ds lots of hugs and kisses to make urself feel happier :)

Hula2 · 06/08/2015 20:17

Oh Trying i can t imagine how hard it was to miscarry after ivf and to then pick yourself up and carry on. You have got to get your baby someday, you just have.

And I think without this forum i would already be insane !

Hula2 · 06/08/2015 19:57

Rosa its been 16mns since my mc and no hint of bfp, but ds took nearly 2yrs and i m 4 yrs older so i guess its no surprise. Hope your LO has been moving and you re feeling ok.

Thanks Trying thats very kind of you to say, and definetly a good idea on the vino ! Hope you re feeling ok too.

Tryingno1 · 06/08/2015 19:56

Rosa tell me about it taking ages - it was 14 months from my last BFP to this one as we didn't know about DH sperm till 10 months and we took 2 off and had 2 month wait for ivf...it's such a hard slog...(then I lost it anyways).
This journey is enough to drive us all INSANE

Tryingno1 · 06/08/2015 19:14

rosa sorry for ur concerns, it just be TERRIFYING to worry about it at your stage, i don't know how i would cope! hope ur feeling calmer
x

Tryingno1 · 06/08/2015 19:13

sorry hula :( it is just so hard and shitty.

don't feel guilty for one second to talk about how u feel on here!!! u musnt and thats wot we are all here for....i totally can understand your desire for another child and i don't think it matters how many u have or want, if u want another and its not happening its just shit......so please share ur worries and feelings on here...(that my feeling anyway and I'm sure the others wold say the same)

have a glass of over priced wine on me xxx

Rosa27 · 06/08/2015 19:10

Hula .. I know, I was such a long time after my 3rd miscarriage I felt the same way... How long has it been this time again? I feel sure you must be lucky soon.. It's so crap not having a crystal ball ... Hugs x

Hula2 · 06/08/2015 12:55

Thanks everyone. This journey is just so hard and i just think something must be seriously wrong to be just be not get pregnant month after month for so long. I often feel bad even mentioning it as many of you have not even had one and i am so so grateful for ds . If it was just about me i d happily accept my blessing and not want for more but once you have a child that fierce maternal instinct means you d do anything for them and its this that keeps me trying....

Oh well i ll be better once af comes and i can more onto next cycle.

Rosa - sorry you re worrying today. I often found lying down and chilling out got ds moving (or a glass of cold water) so i hope your ds starts prodding u in the ribs again soon. I ll def look at that app you suggested.

Hope everyone else is having a good day.

Rosa27 · 06/08/2015 12:05

Hula I'm sorry too.. Logged on hoping for good news from you.. Please hang on as you've come this far, and I remember being told most people are successful on 5th cycle.
I can imagine how you feel.. I know how lucky I will be if all goes well and I have my DS... It's still unbelievable to me that it's finally on the right path.. But I'm 39 and could be trying for a sibling at 40+ and it's no harder to know when to stop than first time round.. It's such a personal decision to how much you can take and if you're managing to balance the emotional challenges enough. I know IF all goes well for me with having my DS in Dec and IF we decide to try for one more it would be pred from BFP at most- may even consider cyclogest only. I've read of so many people 'giving up' second time and getting there anyway with no/less treatment. The mind is a strange thing.. Influences the body in ways we can't fully understand. Chilling out and hypnotherapy are v powerful and if nothing else make all the time we don't need to be consumed with all this so much easier.. I woke at 3 and started stressing I should be feeling movement etc and then got convinced it's all over and feel awful today. So away to take my own advice and listen to R&R app by Maggie Howell.. Can recommend it.. There's one for everything. And then get back to work! Lucky in wfh today. Lots of love to everyone - think of you all everyday even when not online x

swlondonnanny · 06/08/2015 10:22

So sorry Hula

Tryingno1 · 06/08/2015 09:37

Oh hula im so sorry :(
Sending u lots of hugs.
Xxx

Hula2 · 06/08/2015 08:58

As expected bfn this morning, really don t know how much more of this i can take...i m gonna stop early testing, af i can cope with but bfn bfn then af is just drawing out the monthly failure agony. I ll just have to risk taking meds a few days late in the unlikely event i get preg.

Sorry for the downer.

Snoopy sorry work is added extra stress, i hope you get something concrete soon.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 06/08/2015 07:01

Wrote a long post yesterday and lost it, damn phone!

I'm sorry for everyone having a hard time. It can be so hard when you're stuck in that spiral. I just try really hard not to think about it most of the time. But you're all going to get there.

I'm really trying to clutch at the positives at the moment. I called the DS in charge of the job I went for and she explained the only reason they've had to put successful applicants on a list is they can't specify a start date because we're replacing people who are waiting to be posted elsewhere, but it should hopefully be soon. I've been offered an attachment on another team and I've decided to pad the job I'm already doing by developing a training package with another team. But our borough has introduced a policy whereby you can only apply for one job at any one time so don't know where that leaves my attachment. I know it's against regulations and employment law but we're only shoulder numbers not people after all.

Oh and I am taking wobenzym

Hula2 · 05/08/2015 22:28

Thanks Trying and Swlnanny.

Swlnanny - that must be so hard hearing about your sister and 5 years is a long time to keep going, life really is so unfair sometimes. Thanks so much for the dhea offer, i may well take u up on it if i decide to try it, i m hesistant because it is a hormone and might mess things up more but my amh is 2 and there s some compelling arguments coming out of CHR in america for its use to improve egg quality/quantity in low reserve women.

As for pred it brought my ov of the next cycle forward to day 4 ! (Had af at day 13). I seems to affect quite alot of womens cycles.

swlondonnanny · 05/08/2015 21:46

Trying from what I read about ARGC they test before you start and retest as well. So your immunes will be well monitored there.
I read the Egg book, it is quite interesting but other than one chemical in perfumes (which I don't use much anyway) it didn't really tell me anything new. But good to read. Also I guess the book is really good for general public - meaning for people who don't have immune problems. As high levels of cytokines can also lower egg quality not just destroy embryos....
So sorry that your follow up was such a disappointment.
Hula I was thinking about you, if you tested or not... Sorry you feel so low... I never took any of the supplements you mentioned but was given quite a lot of DHEA which I am not going to use (my endocrinologist told me not to.... Also my AMH is just over 20 so don't want to mess that up) if you want it I am happy to send it to you (was told it is quite pricey).
Drttc oh what a weekend you had... some people should think before they open their mouth... And it is always so disappointing not to get that second line.... especially as you did the extra intralipids as well...

Ladies I am so sorry I just pop in like this, I read your posts, think about reply but get distracted or just forget to reply (my memory is really bad...)
I am only 4DPO and my sore throat/joint pain already started!!!! I really hope it is 'just a cold' but I don't feel ill. Didn't manage to have intralipids before /at ovulation as I somehow ovulated on CD10!!!! So looks like with me steroids actually make me ovulate early... hope to have them on fri (6DPO) really hope it is not going to be too late... should test on tue at 10dpo but that's my birthday and I don't really want to spoil it by hpt - either result would upset me, actually. Than wed is our wedding anniversary so guess will only test on Thu... Was so hopeful for this cycle with all the acupuncture/medication etc but not hopeful anymore.... never thought when we started TTC than we'll be still doing it nearly 5years later... (going to be 40 next week hence me being quite pessimistic) oh and my sister who already has 3 kids now wants another one now... Was told yesterday....

Tryingno1 · 05/08/2015 21:07

Snoopy is on wibenzyme! Hopefully she can fill u in x

Tryingno1 · 05/08/2015 21:07

Sorry hula :( It can take 4-6 SO for them to work out dose and timings so I really hope it happens soon, if hasn't already! It's so hard when u have invested so much time and effort into something and u want a sibling for ur little one...I really really hope it happens for u soon. I know the age thing is a real ticking clock but from the start of this thread it was hope and rosa - the older ones who made it first trimester first!! And they were both similar age to u...try keep the pma. Roda had high tnf and couldn't take humira etc...so try cling onto hope! (Speak for myself!)

I think I need my immunes retesting as not done since seeing mr s a year ago and they didn't re do tnf and NK cells here at ivf clinic again. Also argc retest them during pregnancy maybe mine go mad in prengnacy but are ok before? As my tnf was 23 so well in range a year ago...hmmmmm..plus my nk cells r not even high! Only slightly overactive. Yet the tx still didn't work ;( ah well...more trial and error.....quite tired of this jounrey now

Hula2 · 05/08/2015 20:53

Aww sorry Trying it was nt helpful. Its sounds more like they ve run out of ideas than nothing else can be done. I m sure there s plenty of things that could be tweaked and if u read the beer book they do masses of monitoring and changing meds once pregnant so i m sure somewhere like argc will do alot more its just is as you say a massive commitment to be able to go with them. I think you ve got to follow your heart on this one and if thats go with argc then you ll find a way.

Drttc - i want to slap these people on your behalf. Why can t they just mind their own buisness.

Rosa - good to hear from you. I d say comfortable flight would be better than a huge train ride that makes you sore.

Snoopy - annoying you re still in limbo hope you hear some good news soon.

Afm - 9/10 dpo and just couldn t face testing this morning as i know it will be bfn. Actually i feel like the end of the road is nearing for me Sad and that i ve just got to work on accepting ds will be an only child. I am so so lucky to have him and for me he is so much more than enough but i feel awful i can t give him a sibling. But i m 40, my amh is low, and my immune system is aggressive and i just can t get pregnant, let alone even thinking about staying preg if i did fall. So i think it a few more months then thats it, only thing i m considering left to try is dhea but don t know if i can do that while doing SO. Oh and i ve ordered some fresh royal jelly/pollen/propolis as heard that the propolis is a good antiinflammatory. Is anyone on wobenzyme ?

Tryingno1 · 05/08/2015 19:34

Well it wasn't v useful! He bascially said I was on all the meds I could have been on and nothing to change on that end....and that I had a really good cycle and things had gone well from that point of view (to which I said I keep getting pissed of being told I'm young and everything looks great and still 2.5 years on im with no baby). The only iffy issue was my lining but it was boderline he said...
Bascially left me feeling like I'm totally defaulted and there's sometnhig seriously wrong with my body that's not allowing my emnryos to grow :(((
He did suggest chromsonal testing if I do a fresh round which I was thinking of but said he would be surprised if I was making lots of bad embryos given my age and how they looked etc.
Not done much for my pma or my hope. But has made me feel like argc is the way to go for us....ive been worried about it as means a screw up for mine and dh career and finically a huge burden. Plus been worrying what I tell people! Can't just dissapear for 3 months and not tell friends round here where I am! Will have to come up with lies!! But i don't feel like today he gave me much hope that they would look after me !? If that makes sense....he was a bit like "well we threw all these drugs at u and it still didn't work (u silly woman what's wrong with u?!! so that's a bit shit really isn't it".

Sorry for the me me and down post!
