Squares represent beaming smiles!

Rosa27 · 26/06/2015 14:43

Hi all - sorry been off the radar, not caught up yet but just wanted to say
CONGRATULATIONS Trying... Such brilliant news????????????
Will write more later but been flat out with work changes then feeling ill with killer headaches. Am 16 tomorrow though and scan yest ok.
Top tip though.. If you get a Harmony scan you still need a nuchal scan for early indications of structural issues. I was given wrong advice from doc up north.

Seekingmiracles · 26/06/2015 09:07

Don't want to add an infection to the mix, pads it is! Yuk!

Tryingno1 · 26/06/2015 08:17

..I think it's prob best to not for infection risk? Even though it's not nice! Saying that I did once and I was ok! Sorry not v helpful...

Seekingmiracles · 26/06/2015 07:46

Do you think it's safe to use a tampon? I hate using pads.... It def feels like af but I suppose it could be retained products making their way out too. Eurgh!!

Oh bless you - pred insomnia! Hope you manage to get a nap in later!

Will def put a pic of the puppy up when we get him Smile

Tryingno1 · 26/06/2015 06:55

Congrats seeking!! How exciting. I hope the new house brings u lots of happiness and luck!
Aw how cute! I want a puppy now too! Will u put a pic up of it when it arrives?!
It could be AF? If ur hormones have fully dropped? Although I usually spot for about 1 week and then stopped and then had af. It's so annoying not knowing wots going on inside ur body! I suppose in a few days u will know. Hope it's not too draining
I've been up since 2am Confused. Not complaining though!

Seekingmiracles · 26/06/2015 06:51

Morning ladies!
Moving day for us!! The house is all kinds of upside down! But I'm so happy to be leaving this house and moving forward.

Drttc - the eggs are there but in the 3 months before you can do stuff to improve their quality. You should get the book in reading. It starts with an egg. It's really interesting. Especially if you're thinking you have hyper fertility.

Trying- we're choosing puppy on Sunday but they're only 4 weeks old so don't actually bring it home until it's 8weeks.

I'm 11 days post erpc and bleeding. I've had virtually nothing at all - only spotting and now it's pretty heavy and I've got period pain. This can't be ad can it?!

Drttc · 25/06/2015 21:43

I think it's normal to feel all sorts of twinges :)

Tryingno1 · 25/06/2015 19:45

I keep getting the odd twinge in my uterus and back. Is that normal? I don't rem them before..i wonder if it's in my mind as I didn't feel them till yest!

Tryingno1 · 25/06/2015 19:39

Enjoy ur vino and try relax...It will work out for u (one day, so keep the faith) x

Drttc · 25/06/2015 19:36

That sounds absolutely amazing!! Wow! I wouldn't be able to resist watching!

Tryingno1 · 25/06/2015 19:29

It's this cctv! Instead of looking at the embryos for a few minutes on day 3 and 5 they have a 24 hours cctv which allows images of the embryos over 5 days like 600 of them! It means the embryologists get a better idea if how the embryos divide and therefore less likely to be chromosomally dud. Also it doesn't disturb them. They apply some algorhtym on the rate of division and score it 1-3 on how likely to it be a a good embryo. It's not that accurate as ive read stories of women who had genetic testing on the blastcoyst and there was a trisomy even though embryoscope suggested not. It's only been around since 2012 but suggests preg rates and miscarriagr rates r better (more so in the over 40 their preg rates were much better using it, small for my age group as the risk is lower already)
I get the link tmrw so I can watch the emnryo from fertilisation to tansfer day! How weird is that! But I'm not gonna watch it as I don't want to get attached to the little bean yet.
Anyways it's cost 750! But I thought why not!

Drttc · 25/06/2015 18:50

Holy crap! 3 grand for an NHS cycle?! What's an embryoscope? So excited for your journey! You're treatment plan seems to cover everything!

I think a bit of wine would be a good idea tonight...! Planning a nice active weekend as well.

Tryingno1 · 25/06/2015 18:30

Its hard not to over think. Like u said drink some wine, relax and spend with dh.

It's private clinic but does nhs too. So was handy! I've been allowed to add on loads of tests and drugs nhs places wouldn't have allowed so feel quite lucky. Has cost me over 3 grand (drugs, intralipids, random blood tests, embryoscope freezing emnryos) !! And that's an nhs cycle!
I had a perfect 6.5 week scan and then at a 9 week one it had sadly died at 9weeks maybe that am. Was a missed miscatriage. So I think after 9/10 weeks I'll feel better but saying that I don't think I'll ever feel ok! Maybe after 20 weeks I may settle?!

Seeking is ur puppy not coming Tmrw?!

Drttc · 25/06/2015 18:17

If this has happened in 6 months, what could happen in the next 6! And that's including a month intentional break and 2 wtf cycles on pred.

Is this an ivf place through the NHS? I think it's natural to start different approaches in pregnancy after these experiences. You know your body and mind the best as well and so you'll seek out whatever you need at the moment for calm. Do you have a 'danger' week in mind that you need to get through to feel at ease?

Tryingno1 · 25/06/2015 18:01

I had my first 3 in a year too. June sept and last June. Was tough going. I wish it hadn't taken so long to get preg but I'm sure im feeling calmer this time as some
Of the pain has settled. Plus I'm in total denial mode. I don't even want a scan! Last time I wanted one every day literally! It was a private scan I booked which confirmed my
Misscariage.
Mine are normal levels but slightly hyper! So not very high. The ivf place seem To have picked up some even more controversial clotting issues so maybe they are playing a role. To be fair I don't know! As long as one of these drugs works...

Drttc · 25/06/2015 17:51

Well I my first miscarriage was two years ago, then 3 this year (jan, feb, June). Mental to have had 3 this year I know :(

Drttc · 25/06/2015 17:49

It's so exhausting having to make these decisions. I tend to think it to death, make a plan, then go on autopilot following whatever plan I've made.

Yes, they're very high NK! How are yours? Are you planning on seeing Dr S pre or post scan?

Tryingno1 · 25/06/2015 17:27

Ps 4 miscarrages in such a short time is just rough :( and unfair. Im so sorry :(

Tryingno1 · 25/06/2015 17:09

Of course this is what this board is for. I've millions of times rambled on!
Ur a empowered intelligent young woman, u should do wotever makes u comfortable and happy. It is hard to make that descion but it sounds like u feel confident with the one u made? Are ur nk cells v high? I can't rem sorry! I think being in the feild of med/reserch is a blessing and a curse!

Drttc · 25/06/2015 16:18

Thanks Trying! I agree that your body would need time to get back to normal after a miscarriage. But mine end at such an early stage that I'm not convinced I would have the same issue as someone who had one at say 8,9,10 weeks along. Even though I was technically 6 weeks my hcg level was that of someone who was 4 weeks pregnant (just after you miss your period). My womb was completely empty :( Also, Dr S looked at my womb lining the cycle after my previous miscarriage and said it looked 'lovely'. So I think waiting 2-3 months when I'm having repeated chemicals wouldn't do much... I've had 4 now, and 3 of those happened after breaks of anywhere from years to minimum 3 months. So, waiting hasn't worked out for me.

That said, my body may not cooperate this month (as we know all the pred can make things weird)... So it could be out of my hands. I feel like, I've tried what everyone has told me and now I've had 4 it's a desperate times. The scientist in me (I do research) feels like I need to test this 'find the good egg' theory.

Sorry to go on and on! Thinking out loud. Very open to everything everyone has to say. It's just in my nature to overthink every thing haha

Tryingno1 · 25/06/2015 15:30

I'm 31! Not very fun! Haha. Yeah I know, it's hard to make sense of it!!
my family member who is an Obs and gynae consultant says 2 months break as the lining needs time, ur body needs time and ur hormones need time to back to nornal and relax. Ivf failure is also 2-3 months to give ur body time to settle obv that's different but I suppose it's same line? Mr s says it due to bad egg I think (from what he told determined) But to be honest the reserch suggests otherwise- and there was a huge study on Scotland showing if u got preg within 6
Months u were more likely to have a notmal preg and also less complications in delivery etc. U have prob read it.
I'm sure us lot are a complicated lot-I see a lot of us having c sections, early labour etc. Just like hope with her placenta issue. We must be made diff! As long as we get there I suppose.
Do what makes u feel comfortable! There are plenty of women millions who concieve in the wtf and are fine. I think determined said her mum was!! So if u r ready and u have made a choice (well balanced as u have a brain!) then go for it! As long as u are happy :). I really teally really hope that ur next bfp is sticky and hopefully it will be. I rem talking of 10/11 miscarriages when we used to get preg quickly too. But I don't think its that common. In fact if u look it up 1 in 100 have 3 in row and then 4/5/6 etc get v v v rare and eventually it just HAs to be ur turn! It just has to!

Drttc · 25/06/2015 14:02

And I was only able to get an appointment with Dr S for July 20th :( ages away!
