trying you are not a downer! This is where we can vent our feelings with people who understand and don't judge. If you need to rant then go ahead, if you need to cry then that's fine too.

I'm just trying to get on with it. It's tough working different times to DH but I need to get used to it

Tryingno1 · 07/07/2015 19:01

Thanks guys.

Frozen sperm doesn't defrost well it looses mobility and some die. They don't keep same quality. If dna fragmention is an issue, the sperm we have saved up to now (enough for 1 cycle-so about 30 sperm given a lot die) are shit and fragmented. Urology appt in 2 weeks so will be really good to hear what he thinks we should do.

My feeling is trying quickly again with fresh sperm while there may still be some Production is the way forward. Who knows when it will go to zero. It went from 5 million to just over zero in 2 months.

prob going to book an appt with argc tmrw when I have a 100 percent answer but already rung them and their wait times are 6-8 weeks.

Snoopy how r u today?
Yes hula im 5 plus 4 yest and 20 days post 5 day transfer
Sorry to be a mega downer, thanks for all ur kind words.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 07/07/2015 18:48

trying I'm so sorry it's not the result you wanted but please don't lose hope until you've had the second test back. And please don't give up. We're all here for you x

Drttc · 07/07/2015 17:37

Sorry the fragmentation sentence was meant to be a question!

Drttc · 07/07/2015 17:36

Trying I'm so sorry the numbers are on the low side. What exactly were your dates when you had the blood taken?

I know it's upsetting but why would this be the end of the road? You have more opportunities to try, can continue to collect sperm, and maybe this can help identify if there is another issue? Had they not checked for sperm fragmentation. Also as you're freezing the sperm, each time you try it's in a controlled environment that increases your chances of success.

Hang in there Hun :( xx

sunnyday01 · 07/07/2015 16:29

Ah trying it's so hard, there's nothing I can say to make you feel better, but I'm thinking of you x

Let's us know what co sultans says etc x

Thanks guys. Think I need to start replanning what my life may look like :(

Tryingno1 · 07/07/2015 16:24

I've rung them. Waiting for consultant to ring me back.

Tryingno1 · 07/07/2015 16:20

I'm going to try get results tmrw by driving to the hosp where they get sent to. Hopefully that will speed it up.

But I know the result, I'm clutching at straws to think this may be ok. I literally don't know what to do. With the low sperm count im really thinking our days of trying are coming to an end. My head is a mess. I seem to be able to get a BFP but can't keep it. I'm being covered for every possibility but now we are eonderin of it's the sperm? fragmention etc that's casuing an issue.
Currently we are thinking of giving it all up and just going to the argc where they do daily monitoring. Obv this means jobs and lives thrown away. Also there's no promise they can help a man with no soerm and a woman who keeps miscarrying :(
Xxx

sunnyday01 · 07/07/2015 16:19

I'm sorry trying, try not to write it off yet as I have read that hcg levels can vary day to day, and week to week, not just pregnancy to pregnancy (although I'm no expert as nd er had hcg levels done).

I agree with hula, is it worth contacting your ivf place about the results x

Hula2 · 07/07/2015 15:57

Oh Trying im sorry this has just brought you more worry but it really is whether its doubling thats relevant so please don t give up hope. I take it you ve got another test tomorrow, is there anyway you can get the results the same day to at least reduce the amount of time you are waiting to know. Have u spoken to your ivf clinic about the results. Are you about 5 and half weeks ? Bigs hugs, i know this is horrid not knowing, i wish i could do something more.

Tryingno1 · 07/07/2015 15:16

Hcg only 438. Way too low. Absolutely devastated. Been told it's rise that's imp but doesn't sound good.
Literally don't know where I go from here :(

Hope everyone else ok x

MorganLeFey · 07/07/2015 10:02

Trying Thank you.

My summary is: 30, 1 DD born 2013, then MMC Summer 2014 where heartbeat stopped between 8-10/40 scans & needed a MVA under local, spontaneous natural MC of probably a blighted ovum started at about 6/40 Autumn 2014 and another MMC Spring 2015 where again we got to just over 8/40 size & know that one was a genetically normal little boy.

I've been following your pred thread for s while as I felt like it's something autoimmune/placental development going wrong - but the standard NHS tests including NK count were normal. Now feel relieved (!) to know that they're high activity but responsive to pred as can daydream maybe things will be different if there's a next time!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 07/07/2015 07:30

Thanks for the links hula

trying let us know when you get your results.

I'm just tired and anxious but I will get through this. Just have to find the strength to keep going

Tryingno1 · 06/07/2015 21:00

Welcome Morgan. Glad. U feel like u have answers and glad ur resulfs have responded to the tx. I'm sorry I don't remember ur history now but please do join us!

Snoopy get some sleep tonight and have a think re Gp/counseller etc. Hope work are ok tmrw

Thanks for ur kind words tonight girls, I'm dreading the next few days. Just wish I could feel more hopeful. I'm sure my back cramps have got more obvious but I'm just so hyper aware I can't tell. I'll know either way soon. For now I need some rest! I feel like I'm going slowly mad! Xxx

MorganLeFey · 06/07/2015 20:38

* Snoopy * Sorry to hear work are now being so unhelpful with everything you've been through. I've needed time off after both ERPCs & after finding out about the third MC. Then while waiting for RMC results had meltdown & couldn't face work for a week - it is so hard. Perhaps just ask them to clarify in writing that miscarriages are not deemed "pregnancy related" - & take it to an employment lawyer!

So I am now officially one of you! My NK count & all standard NHS tests were normal but activity level just over the 20% threshold for high & thankfully down to

Hula2 · 06/07/2015 20:07

Snoopy so sorry you re getting this crap. How hugely insensitive for them to be questioning this, i m so cross on your behalf and can t believe it can happen. You totally have a right to feel the way you do, anyone who has lost three babies would do, but people who haven t been there don t understand and think its 'just a miscarriage'. Please don t feel a failure, the fact you are still trying (and able to actually go to work) shows how strong you are and when you do suceed (and i really feel you will get there) then all the work shit will become so unimportant. Big hugs.

Hula2 · 06/07/2015 19:56

Aw trying, lets hope you will have two things to celebrate then.

Tryingno1 · 06/07/2015 19:35

I'm
Sorry snoopy :( I literally had the exact same exp. It was so hard. I felt like I had worked so hard and been a great employee and when I was down instead of support I just got shit. I felt hurt and betrayed. It was really really hard when it went on and it was the last shit I needed to deal with. But like all rm stuff, u come out of it. And ur stronger and u realise what's imp in life. PM me if u need to, because I know how hard I found work side of stuff ontop of rm. Can u see a counseller? She helped me understand it for me...promise u-it will be better and easier. And it will be a bigger deal to u than them. they will forget about it 1 day! Xxx

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 06/07/2015 19:28

Thanks trying. I'm just really struggling tonight. I've tried so hard to try and get back on track and proactively look for jobs that will be less stressful and one of my old sergeants even said he had a vacancy on his team if they would let me go. But now I'm just a snotty, red eyes mess. I feel like I've failed in every way imaginable.

Tryingno1 · 06/07/2015 19:13

Snoopy im pretty sure it does count as preg related sickness. Ask the ladies over on the miscarriahe board ive seen them discuss it before and they are SO knowledgable. I'm so sorry they are being shit on top on everything you have been through.fy1 I had similar problems and it really pissed me off and I'm still angry about 1 year on! Sadly it's just more of life's shit to deal with. But u will get through it and it's nothing compared to what u have been through. And really it doesn't matter in the big scheme of life.
I'm sure it classes as preg related though...I hope u sort it and sorry Flowers

Drttc · 06/07/2015 19:06

Hmm noted on the Chinese herbs! Maybe I'll hold off on them this cycle!

Good luck with your results tomorrow!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 06/07/2015 19:04

drttc I've heard great things about nac and I've ordered some.

trying so sorry your having to worry like this. It isn't fair that all the happiness is sucked out of pregnancy. Hope you get good results in the morning to ease your worries.

Ladies help me, I'm having a meltdown. I've been back at work for three days and spoke to my line manager today and he was actually really nice but apparently HR have turned around and said miscarriage doesn't count as pregnancy related sickness and they want a case conference over my sickness. He said it's just paperwork and I have nothing to worry about but I can't deal with this anymore. I gave everything to that job and I feel like they just want to kick when I'm as down as I can get. I didn't choose this, I'd give anything to just wipe the last eleven months of my life away but they seem to think I'm faking feeling this way. Every time I start to piece my life back together it's just smashed to pieces again so what is the point of even trying anymore.

Tryingno1 · 06/07/2015 18:15

No result yet, which means tmrw am. Which means Thursday I will know what's going on. Just in time for wedding anniversary Confused.
