Yay! That's great determined! What a relief! When r u starting SO?

Determined123 · 16/07/2015 11:33

ha ha - that was mean to be a shocked face Shock

Determined123 · 16/07/2015 11:32

Yeah I do feel better - I think its just that glimmer of hope back :) Ahh that's not too bad seeking...mine was 3 last cycle. I will see how I go this month but then prob will be back onto super ov.

Drttc do you mean change % wise? It was 35% and needed to be below 20%. Yesterday it was 8%. [shocked]

Drttc · 16/07/2015 11:21

Fantastic Determined!!! What was the difference between this steroid trial and the one before?

Seekingmiracles · 16/07/2015 11:06

That's fantastic news Determined!! You must feel relieved!! My LP is generally 11/12 days, not brilliant but not bad either.

Determined123 · 16/07/2015 10:35

Hey Ladies

Yes long cycle pain here too...Now day 40...no AF just migraines! Got Acu later today which haven't had for months so fingers crossed!

Morgan I took pred for about 7 months and had 2 pregs/mcs and was ok (my gp even made me have a dexa scan for bone density and I came out all ok)

Seeking I always ov really late (day 19-21 but has been 23/5). do you ever have issues with your LP?

Great news sunny - so pleased for you :)

I have good news too...No IVIG needed for me. Body responded very very well to steroids, so well we were all a bit stunned (I still don't understand why they didn't before so will always remain a mystery). Of course it doesn't mean I will end up with a baby for sure but for once I feel like something has worked out good for a change! There is a glimmer of hope again!

x

Tryingno1 · 16/07/2015 10:18

Hi Morgan. I did it monthly for about 5 months and had no issues. I just made sure it was 2 days post my peak and stopped it day 10 if bfn. The insomnia wasn't too much of a problem except twds maybe the last day or 2...(but prob in my mind more than anything) ..hope ur ok on it! Maybe give it a go and u can always adjust timings etc. Try have it with food though!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 16/07/2015 10:06

morgan I'm only on my first cycle ttc after mc so can't advise about the cumulative effects. But now that I am on a regular shift pattern my plan is I only take my thyroxine and wobenzyme in the morning. I take the pred and omeprazole at lunch, with food, and I take my aspirin, vitamins and second dose of wobenzyme before bed.

MorganLeFey · 16/07/2015 09:39

Sharing the long cycle pain! Mine have always been 35-37 days so after my last ERPC (about 2 weeks after HB stopped) it took 5 weeks for HCG to be 0 then another 5 for first period - 3 months in total to be over - FFS!

I think metformin may have shortened my cycle by a few days this month though - high fertility since Mon & peak this morning & DH is away Mon-Thurs - so I am really grumpy & wondering whether to bother with pred from Ov this cycle.

Did you ladies do it every month or only if reasonable chance of sperm meeting egg? I'm concerned about side effects - particularly gastritis or insomnia as I don't usually eat till lunch time & osteoporosis with cumulative courses...

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 16/07/2015 07:30

seeking it sucks having long cycles. mine tend to be 33 days long. I remember screaming after my second mc '33 fucking days means I don't even get twelve goes a year'!

Seekingmiracles · 15/07/2015 22:10

If anything mine have got longer Hmm
I've taken soy isoflavones in the past, they brought it forward to cd14-16. Might try that again

Tryingno1 · 15/07/2015 21:55

i used to have 29/30 day cycles, LH surge day 15 and then after my second miscarriage they shortened to 27ish LH surge day 14. So yours may change, sup pregnancy can permanently change them.

Seekingmiracles · 15/07/2015 21:33

ahhh I see....Sounds confusing!!
My cycles are pretty long, normally 29-31 days. HATE having long cycles. It means I ovulate late (cd18 on average) , then when i am pregnant my dates don't match up with the average and theres all this 'it's small for gestational age' nonsense. Obviously I think WAY to much into things!

Tryingno1 · 15/07/2015 21:15

And I haven't bothered looking up/into lad! It's just too much!

Tryingno1 · 15/07/2015 21:14

Yay to AF seeking! Whoopy! my cycles are about 26-29 days it varies a bit. the dq stuff it's so complex and controversial. It's to
Do with matching genes with ur DH and mounting NK cells if u are too similar. I don't fully get it... I ignored it at my ivf clinic when they tested it-I didn't even know I was getting tested for it! I know Mr s doesn't believe in it!
My af is hurting like hell too! Didn't manage gym today hope I can tmrw x

Drttc · 15/07/2015 20:44

Yay Seeking! Glad AF is here! How long are you cycles? Looks like we're cycle buddies for now!

How long is your cycle, Trying?

Seekingmiracles · 15/07/2015 20:37

Great news Sunny!! So happy for you.

I think we all have those bleak moments, especially when people around us get pregnant. Some of my friends are onto number 2 or at least thinking about it and I sit there thinking I ONLY WANT ONE!! Two would be lovely, 3 bloody amazing but i'll be over the moon to have one.
DH just casually asked me if I wanted anything at supermarket.... my reply - a working womb and immune system! We both laughed. It's a coping mechanisim bt i'm glad that even after such sad times I haven't lost my ability to laugh.

I'm going to sound very naive but what LAD and DQA match... i've seen it mentioned and not really understood Confused.

Oh and AF arrived!! And she's a painful bitch!! Now to start ttc again... Hmm

Rosa27 · 15/07/2015 19:18

Meant doesn't disappear like that!!

Rosa27 · 15/07/2015 19:18

Yay Sunny - brilliant! It's a bit of an anticlimax isn't it though.. You focus for so long on 12 weeks, but so much anxiety and worry does disappear like that (apparently it never does!) I am 19 on Fri and still anxious and not telling anyone except family, v close friends and boss (though bloody obvious now!) my 20 week scan is my milestone for that but not sure will ever put on Facebook!
Try to celebrate though.. You deserve it! :)
Hi to everyone else.. I'm hoping for more good news before too long. X

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 15/07/2015 17:39

Yeah so pleased for you sunny. Please stay here and keep updating us!

Tryingno1 · 15/07/2015 17:06

Oh no drttc! Don't feel sorry for me-I was merely telling u to try make u feel less alone! That for some reason us RM people have shitty "rub in ur face luck with all this"!! Somehow we find our way through it. I'm not going to lie-it was so hard. When we went to see baby there was like 10 people in the room and they were choosin names and they asked me and dH-what would u call ur baby?! I had to leg the room to stop hysterically crying. Not sure how no one noticed. That whole period in my life was just awful. It was the lowest I was def. Even though it was the second loss everything about IT awful. On top of it all my SIL was such a whine and couldn't cope and complained the whole time about hard it was to be a mum!!!

But what can u do!!!! It's just shit! These things make us who we are and who we become. I hope I'm a kinder more considerate person because of this. I'm def less nosy!! Never will I ask someone when they r TTC or getting married or anything personal like that

Rm is just pants!

Yeah me and Dh were tested by our nhs place-no translocation there!

Hula2 · 15/07/2015 17:05

Yay sunny, so pleased to hear your news. x

sunnyday01 · 15/07/2015 17:03

I was on hydroxy all the time even on my 'break' from medication as I needed to have it in my system for 6 weeks so thought there was no point stopping. Started drugs and drip in week 5 based on current dates. I did ask Dr s about not taking the medication early on esp the steroids and he said even though I wasn't on them that month, the fact I've had them every month religiously when trying will all help fight those cells!!

Parents know already, told dh's nan and I e told my four close friends but that's it for now, not announcing it on facebook or anything. Feel funny sharing it as don't quite believe it myself!

Drttc · 15/07/2015 16:47

Oh my god trying... I have no idea how you endured that. Sounds ten times worse than what I'm complaining about :( And on top of everything there's so much guilt for not being entirely happy for them. I agree I need to remember that things could be much worse, and be grateful for all that I have. That was so much easier before... Why can't we just hide in a ttc cave and not leave until we're in our second trimesters?! Also, Were you tested for balanced translocation?

Yay Sunny!!!! Congrats! Wonderful news! Really hope this reduces your anxiety & you can enjoy it more. Now the big question: When do you feel comfortable sharing your news?

Tryingno1 · 15/07/2015 16:46

Great news! Whoopy!
Makes u think-u didn't start ur pred and IL till u were 6/7 weeks this time and it's been plain sailing! It's all very random and bizzare! Main thing is ur nearly second tri :)
