We've been ttc for 3 years. 3 failed rounds of ivf. And now this. I'm sure I'll miscarry - I'm bound to, or is it a false positive?
I'm two days late. It was immediate.

Thinking of you, hoping you have a sticky bean!

HungryHorace · 10/06/2015 22:37

I scared myself shitless testing at about your gestation and only getting 2-3 weeks' pregnant on it.

I left it a few more days and tested again and got 3+. These digis are nowhere near that accurate (and hcg levels vary by woman / pregnancy).

Good luck.

Velociraptor · 10/06/2015 15:49

2-3 is still about right though if you are 5 weeks pregnant, 3 weeks since conception. I really hope everything works out for you, but I see no reason to think it won't.

OhEmGeee · 10/06/2015 15:08

How are you?

SweetCharlotteRose · 10/06/2015 05:28

Certain. Sad

My CB still only showed 2-3 at 6+4. Am now 17 weeks so they're not all that accurate. Had private scan and saw the heartbeat at 6+1. Are you sure of when you ovulated?

Beansprout30 · 09/06/2015 21:31

Also thinking of you, I really do hope all turns out ok. Please keep us updated x

FloristHump · 09/06/2015 13:18

Thinking of you OP, hoping you've managed to get an appt to see someone. I've got everything crossed for you.

lavendersun · 09/06/2015 13:13

Flowers OP, I have got everything crossed for you. Make an appointment with your GP to get a bit of reassurance/start the pregnancy ball rolling.

I know it is hard after years of disappointments.

Oysterbabe · 09/06/2015 11:28

Charlotte I don't think Purdie was joking when she said she'd make you drink your own piss if you buy another fucking digi. She's probably on her way over.

OhEmGeee · 09/06/2015 10:56

Have you spoken to anyone? Phoned your GP or spoken to epu? With your history would they see you? I think you need some reassurance and support. Flowers

SweetCharlotteRose · 09/06/2015 10:52

I'm 5+2 but the digi is still showing only 2-3.
I've broken the bloody thing apart and it looks like my weeks indicator lines are getting lighter.

I'm really sad. I coped through the fertility treatment but no idea how I will get through this.

How are you doing Charlotte? Hope all is fine which im sure it is and you feel a bit calmer now Flowers

fluffygreenmonsterhoody · 06/06/2015 09:11

Step away from the tests.
I get it, I really, really do.
But you're going to make yourself ill with this.
As Lavendar said - start buying chocolate instead!

lavendersun · 06/06/2015 07:56

Stop buying tests Smile, you are pregnant Smile, buy chocolate instead Grin.

WhyIRayLiotta · 06/06/2015 07:56

It's completely understandable after what you've been through that you'll be so anxious. The best thing you can do it try and keep busy and not tie yourself up in knots of worry. Don't think too far ahead - at this point you are pregnant, so do the reccommended things and try and sleep!

nottheOP · 06/06/2015 07:53

I'm no expert but common sense says it wouldn't go back up, no.

Try to have a nice day today, enjoy the sunshine or have a movie and duvet day with your dh

SweetCharlotteRose · 06/06/2015 07:49

Because if the hcg was falling it wouldn't go back up today...would it?
Oh god. I'm not taking anymore. I can't cope.
Insomnia appears to be my only symptom but not sure if that's from worry. I go to sleep ok and then wake about midnight with heartburn and am awake until about 4.30. Tired now.
Thank you for the advice, I know I have to wait and see but it's so hard. I have to stop testing as it's driving dh mad too.

That does seem to follow that your wee was just less concentrated last night. Do try to stop testing now though as it's honestly just more stress than its worth.

my friend had a scan at 7 weeks at an early unit and she could see a blob with a heartbeat. I had a dating scan at 9+4 and it was more baby shaped.

It was about 6 weeks before I got any symptoms but was then quite sick and tired until 16 weeks. It's quite an odd time again between when the sickness goes until you're showing and feeling proper kicks. I was convinced there was going to be no baby at the 20 week scan!

Basically you never stop worrying for them but it does ease a bit.

OhEmGeee · 06/06/2015 07:42

I never found the clear blue digital tests very accurate. And it does depend on the time of day you test, first wee of the day is always best. I had a scan at 5 weeks and saw a sac but not much else. Went back ten days later and there was a hb.

Congratulations btw! Flowers

lavendersun · 06/06/2015 05:58

Congratulations SweetCharlotteRose - I wish you all the luck in the world. I remember the awful worrying (not IVF but repeated miscarriages, for which there was an identified cause).

I wish there was a magic 'worry not' pill I could send you. Flowers

SweetCharlotteRose · 06/06/2015 04:46

Ok so I've been awake nearly all night worrying but I've tested this morning and 2-3 again (I'm 4+5 or 6 so I guess this is about right?)
And I can't think it would fall then rise again?

Apparently between weeks 2 and 3 only 75% of women get the correct result so 1 in 4 will not.

OP posts:
Rudawakening · 05/06/2015 21:27

I think at 5 weeks they would be able to see a yoke sac and possible fetal pole. The main thing would be that the sac is in the right place and not slipping or anything.

No scan or test can ever tell you that things will be fine going forward but it might help right now to see what's happening.

The only thing that might be an issue is if you ovulated later than you thought and so aren't as far along as you think, then it might worry you more. I chose not to have an early scan for exactly that reason but only you know how much you would worry in either scenario.

SweetCharlotteRose · 05/06/2015 21:20

Would they see anything at not quite 5 weeks though or could it just be inconclusive and id have to go back?

OP posts:
Rudawakening · 05/06/2015 21:14

Don't give up, nothing is confirmed yet. I know the waiting is hard but you've got to think positively, you're pregnant against massive odds.

If you can afford it you could call some local private clinics for a same day early scan, I think where I am they are £150-£200 but if you can't wait until Monday it's another option.
