Period on wedding day - disaster?

Hi all - I'm a newbie but have been lurking a while Wink

DP and I want to TTC straight after our wedding, preferably the night of, but I have just worked out that my period is due smack bang on my wedding day

I've never properly monitored my periods, only started in the last two months or so because of TTC in the near future and wanted to know roughly when ovulation would be.

So, my question is: is there anything I can take to delay my period? I know you can just keep taking the pill through your 'break' days but I'm not on the pill - haven't been for a year now

And, if I take something/the pill to delay the wedding-period, will it screw up hormones etc... making it harder for us to conceive until my hormones have settled down again?

Any experience of this?

Mrscarmac, don't worry about it, I bet you'll get your period a few days late with the stress.

Day 14-16 are the days when you are most fertile, though I've known someone to get pregnant on day 18 as her ovulation was delayed with stress!

Good luck and congratulations.

You could TTC the cycle before the wedding - if it worked you'd only be a couple of weeks gone, and no period but the catch would be reduced alcohol consumption!
