"Casually" TTC

TTC number 2, we've agreed to go ahead in a "let's just see whAt happens, no pressure" kind of way. so I'm casually charting my cycles with a fertility app, breezily checking my cervical mucous, nonchalantly scouring the conception board and definitely not compiling a list of names for dc2 Blush.
What is so frustrating is that because I'm "casually" charting all of this I know exactly when my fertile window is and keep bloody missing it because I don't want to give the game away and look like baby crazed monster! Last month my carefully timed advances were thwarted by a five-aside groin strain. I think today was the day and was planning a seduction after dd's bedtime but he announced he was off to his brothers for a bank holiday drink.
This is lighthearted and is not a problem with communication in my marriage. I think he felt the pressure last time and I'm really trying to keep this as relaxed as possible (for him) but that's just not my style.

Thanks BigChief, I won't test then! I am Super Excited and Super Nervous Smile

Alice1983 · 29/05/2015 22:52

Obviously I only casually had some Mojito's Wink

Alice1983 · 29/05/2015 22:51

I'm sorry I've been out of touch, been busy trying to convince OH to go shopping Shock for a bit (hard work and loads of moaning afterwards!!!) and finally got there. Went to H&M and steered casually away from anything that wasn't 'Adult Section' and went for some Mojito's Grin Back with a vengance and ready for some DTD'ing tonight Grin. I don't know what to say ladies, I am hoping for a BFP beggining of June Smile anyone else?

ktkaye · 29/05/2015 21:47

BigChiefThunderThighs · 29/05/2015 16:39

Sounds pretty convincing kitkat! I've also got really sore boobs but it was the same last month so I tnk this must be normal for me at this point in my cycle Hmm

Ps kitkat try testing in another week - might just be too early? I know a week feels like an age but...

ktkaye · 29/05/2015 14:13

Oh ladies help me. I burst in to tears in the John Lewis baby section earlier (I was there legitimately - buying baby gros for my v pregnant best friend). Casual. I am hoping this is my pre AF hormones waking up. I had slightly hoped my test this morning would be a bfp - even though in my heart I know it's too early and I don't think I'm
Ovulating. Must get a grip!!

spottedquoll · 29/05/2015 12:26

Totally convinced, kitkat! I've felt sick and tired all week, which has nothing to do with DD having a tummy bug and waking up a lot, and defies the fact that I'm 2 dpo at most. Grin

kitkat1989 · 29/05/2015 12:15

These are all my symptoms and tell me if u wouldnt be convinced...

Dizziness
nausea
headaches
extreme tiredness
inability to eat anything i dont fancy
bloating
needing to pee loads
bigger boobs
boobs are a bit sore like theyre bruised
extreme mood swings like to a point of can go from happy to acreaming in 10 secs. Called oh a dickhead the other day cos he asked me to put th car away!

kitkat1989 · 29/05/2015 12:13

Congratulations! Im still convinced as i still feel crap n currently sat eating cheese n pickle pork pies like theyre the best thing ever even tho i dont actually like pickle!

BigChiefThunderThighs · 29/05/2015 09:43

Onecurrantbun - welcome to our casual gathering. It's bloody hard work being so casual all the time! Feel free to unburden yourself here of any obsessive thoughts/activities that your dh doesn't need to know about!

themumfairy · 29/05/2015 08:54

2 more tests done this morning and both has faint Blue lines on. I've got my bfp!! right who's getting there's next xx

Onecurrantbun · 29/05/2015 07:38

BigChief thanks for starting this thread- I'm glad I'm not the only one going crazy! We are NTNP supposedly but I've cracked out the OPK s already Blush

In my defence I am keen to know if I'm ovulating as I'm still breastfeeding (well that's what I told DH....)

BigChiefThunderThighs · 29/05/2015 07:17

A line is good! Did it show up within the 5 mins? Have u tested again this morning?

themumfairy · 28/05/2015 23:24

sooo I've done the hpt. and I'm even more confused. I know I should of waited until the morning for first wee but I couldn't. there's a faint Blue line. however is that an evap line? I have no clue and now I defo won't be able to sleep. really trying not to get my hopes up. x

BigChiefThunderThighs · 28/05/2015 22:52

Speaking of very casual research this is the prettiest pram I've ever seen ......

I would say too early Alice it'll only end in disappointment (bitter experience) - at best tests will pick up maybe 4/5 days before af due!

Welcome spotted - sounds familiar my dd age 2 has only just got into a good sleep routine, so that's what has prompted trying for #2. We finally have the energy to try Grin

OP posts:
spottedquoll · 28/05/2015 22:32

Can I 'casually' join in? DH thinks we're just 'having fun and seeing what happens' and I'm researching local birthing centres already. ;) 'TTC' #2, DD is nearly 3 and has only just started sleeping through regularly-ish...

Alice1983 · 28/05/2015 22:01

Oh and boobs are sore! But then again I think its this bra Angry

Alice1983 · 28/05/2015 21:59

Aw, sorry to hear Kitkat Wine Cake. I might push the boat and test at the weekend...do you all think its too early? AF due around 10th June (rough Maths in my head!) It finished on 17th May, thats all I know as I put it on the Calendar after being so upset about AF arriving at all! Grin

ktkaye · 28/05/2015 20:12

Feeling your pain kitkat. Hang in there CakeFlowers . One day it will be the bfp xx

BigChiefThunderThighs · 28/05/2015 19:39

Aaaw kitkat it's devastating, that wee glimmer of hope before you look at the test, even if you know it's unlikely. Have some Wine
