"Casually" TTC

TTC number 2, we've agreed to go ahead in a "let's just see whAt happens, no pressure" kind of way. so I'm casually charting my cycles with a fertility app, breezily checking my cervical mucous, nonchalantly scouring the conception board and definitely not compiling a list of names for dc2 Blush.
What is so frustrating is that because I'm "casually" charting all of this I know exactly when my fertile window is and keep bloody missing it because I don't want to give the game away and look like baby crazed monster! Last month my carefully timed advances were thwarted by a five-aside groin strain. I think today was the day and was planning a seduction after dd's bedtime but he announced he was off to his brothers for a bank holiday drink.
This is lighthearted and is not a problem with communication in my marriage. I think he felt the pressure last time and I'm really trying to keep this as relaxed as possible (for him) but that's just not my style.

PallasCat · 06/07/2015 18:58

We had unexpectedly early good news today! Health scare was a false alarm, Mr Cat is fine! Super happy. Smile
How's everyone else?

Chattymummyhere · 06/07/2015 09:31

Sorry to hear that pallascat hopefully everything comes back good.

We had an eventful week, brought a hot tub, first night my eldest got out for the toilet and slipped over in the house resulting in a trip to A&E getting his knee glued and stitched back together so no school Thursday and Friday. Lots of gaming went on this weekend to keep him occupied and eating rubbish food. Watched the massive storm that went on for hours. Took mums dog to the vets as it's got quite poorly Sunday. Shoe and swimwear shopping was however involved this weekend ready for our holiday next month. Fixed up some more of our touring caravan, we brought a clapped out old thing as a project for £50! But it needed new skylights/door window etc.

My opks have negative again now so I at least had the surge on the day though I took a sip of drink and it felt like concrete hit my stomach same day as my positive test which was quite bazar. Just a dull ache in my stomach these last few days though.

Welcome piper and fruitsalad

PallasCat · 05/07/2015 21:59

Yay KitKat!
Welcome Piper and FruitSalad.

Had a weird combination of super lovely/difficult and draining weekend here. PIL and DM all visiting (that in itself not stressful, we are fortunate to all get on very well). Had such a nice weekend, lots of fun, and the whole time I was feeling absolutely devastated and terrified about DH's upcoming tests. None of the family knows about DH's tests and our worries, so had to have a happy face on the whole time, which is exhausting.

We've all really been through a difficult time recently anyway, and my mum even commented how happy we all are at last. I nodded with my heart breaking inside. Sad Sorry this is a real downer, but I really need to get this off my chest, and I've no one else to talk to about it.

Guests all left a few hours ago and I just fell asleep straight away! DH tests are tomorrow, and he's away for work tomorrow night. Sad

How's everyone else's weekend been? x

PisforPeter · 05/07/2015 21:25

Can I join too??
Ever so casually TTC #2. Have all the apps etc Wink

fruitsaladwhippedcream · 05/07/2015 16:31

Hello! Can I join please?
I'm 27 and ttc#1

I've namechanged as it's too cringy to talk about ttc stuff under my normal name Grin

I'm being pretty casual about the actual ttc bit (no OPKs, no taking my temperature) but I'm looking at pretty prams instead.

Chattymummyhere · 04/07/2015 10:00

Thats brilliant news kitkat.. Now you have a new cycle finally. It's a killer not knowing what's going on.

Ovia says I'm due on the 19th so we shall see if this cycle is back to normal finally.

kitkat1989 · 04/07/2015 06:55

I GOT MY PERIOD!!!!!! :-D started with a little bit when wiping during the night but iv woken up with full in cramps so i think its definitely coming. never been so happy to see af in my life!!

Chattymummyhere · 03/07/2015 22:18

Well I had my + opk tonight, Dtd Wednesday and tonight so should be covered I'm thinking. Ovia was right with my fertile period considering the length of my last cycle.

Any news kitkat ?

PallasCat · 02/07/2015 18:10

Thanks Spotted. Referral letter has come through, we should have a picture of what we're dealing with Tuesday after next. In the meantime Mr Cat doesn't want to TTC until we know what's going on. Sad

spottedquoll · 01/07/2015 22:25

Just casually dropping by. I'm past my fertile time according to Ovia so might stop having this month off ttc and just let things be how they turn out... Wink

Sorry to hear that Pallas, will keep my fingers crossed for you both.

PallasCat · 30/06/2015 17:58

KitKat - really feel for you Sad so frustrating.

I'm feeling pretty broken. Sad Don't want to go into detail but my OH has a potentially major health scare. He's been to the dr and we're awaiting a referral. We should know in a couple of weeks if it's serious... FX... hopefully it's a false alarm.

Ugh. Sad

Chattymummyhere · 29/06/2015 16:41

My sil had something like that weeks late and her doctor was a bit crap and just kept saying I don't think your pregnant but no idea. In the end she did get her period but I was shocked at how crap the doctors are with stuff like this. Well I've causally been accepted on to a ttc trial which gives me free opks and pregnancy tests, just as my Amazon lot arrived Sod's law.

My next door neighbour has just been showing me her 12week scan picture and my sil's belly is looking very bloated and bump like for a women claiming not to be pregnant and who didn't drink alcohol on her holiday abroad last week.

reminder be more causal

kitkat1989 · 29/06/2015 12:02

STILL NO AF! went to doctors on saturday about it as i shouldv been due on the 7th... but the doctor wasnt worried as a home test has said negative he didnt even bother doing another!! he has put me on folic acid though. but im still really 'what the hell is going on!' i know it can take a few months to regulate but i came off the pill in april abd my period in may was regular as clockwork its jut this month its started messing around. and the doctor even said its unusual.to have a period and then it go funny it normally happens straightaway
