Well fridge on a positive note it could be implantation cramps!
I've had them with all of my pregnancys, feels like your going to wipe and see AF but you don't.
All this CD blah blah, life's just dragging man! I keep checking my FF to see if there's anything else I can add to make it look more juicy rofl
I've just lost all control of myself, I said I was going to start my OPK's on CD10 this month but I'm sooooooo terribly impatient I started on day 8!
Least I bought loads of those internet cheapies so I can pretty much test twice a day lol
Plus my Conceive + came the other day can't wait to try it see if it makes any difference.

Fridgedooropen · 21/08/2015 00:08

Hello all. You're being very athletic Xx Grin. Have had a poor effort this month, only DTD days 10 and 11, though I got my positive OPK on day 11. Still, it's CD22, just about, now and I have started feeling cramps! The witch can't even let me fantasise about pregnancy for the last week. It'll be 7 days yet till I even get AF! Must book that doctor's appt. I worry it can't be right for cramps to start this long before AF.

Flourishing have said this before I think, but when I conceived DS it was definitely on either CD18 or CD21. We only did it those days that month. I'd been quite ill and think that had delayed ovulation. But it can happen. I was always on a 28 day cycle then too.

XxbecquixX · 19/08/2015 19:35

Rofl my other half suggested I do a handstand after we did it, I was like 'what drugs are you using' lol
I haven't been able to do a handstand since I was like 12 haha
More chance of my getting pregs with triplets than lasting more than 5 seconds in a handstand, God knows the damage I'd cause one the dismount lolol

FlourishingMrs · 19/08/2015 17:39

Lol, of course he had me for breakfast, trouble is I have was desparate for a wee so probably drowned my swimmers????
I don't think it's Hcg that would be too good a story

OP posts:
XxbecquixX · 18/08/2015 23:18

Had to laff at him wanting it for brekky, wat is it with men and morning attacks lol
How many times have I been woken up being touched up rofl

XxbecquixX · 18/08/2015 23:16

Well I'm thinking that it may well be...

  1. Late ovulation?
  2. Possibly detecting the second estrogen surge and perhaps you missed the actual O?
  3. Thirdly (but possibly) if you where to have missed the big O on maybe cycle day 15 let's say, then you could possibly be 7DPO, in which case an OPK although checking for LH could also detect HCG as they are basically the same thing other than a few added extras!! EEEK! I wonder?

FlourishingMrs · 18/08/2015 22:00

No never, I am always 28, it's weird. We fly back home tomorrow, we have Bd a lot this holiday, I will give Dp a night off, no doubt he will want some for breakfast tomorrow. We won't do it tomorrow night as we will be on a plane

Wow that's deffo a positive flourishing!
And it's quite late on to be getting that, you should be mid luteal phase by now, has this happened before?
Have you ever had a 36 day cycle? x

FlourishingMrs · 18/08/2015 20:43

Hope this is a better picture of the OPK CD22Shock

Look what I got from a cheap ovulation test on CD22. Could I really be ovulating this late? Does it look positive?

Yeah most people think I'm a total nutter too really, but I absolutely worship my kids, they are my life and so is my husband too lol (not to forget him!)
Im a typical mother hen not only have I got mine running around I always have a house full of other people's kids, neighbours and my family's!
My kids are 15, 12, 8, 7 & 3, 3 boys and 2 girls and I think given a lottery win I'd have a dozen!! my hubby knows how mad Iam and we've agreed to have 1 more!
That's obviously if it happens, like I mentioned previously I had a coil fitted after my baby and had it removed after a year as it was having all kinds horrid affects on me and the doc had a bit of a mare getting it out, so now it's come to the time of 'the trying' Iam worried that it may have caused an issue.
Fingers crossed tho, gunna try hard and see what happens!
Did you have a chance to look into that stork conception aid I found?
Sounds really interesting x

ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 18/08/2015 16:13

5 children Bec, wow, do you really want a sixth?

Mind you my grandmother was one of 12, which I still can't get my head round. Poor great grandma!

XxbecquixX · 18/08/2015 08:20

Lol Really, Iam a bit mental when I commit myself to a task!
Iam on CD6, just finished AF, this is a really busy month for me all my 5 children's birthdays and my husband are in the 4 weeks from the 30th July - 3rd sept, gawd knows how I'll be able to squeeze in any Marvin Gaye time lol
Last month I said right every day come on do me now lol (as soon as the kids where in bed) by day 10 he literally ran out of steam hahaha
Gotta re-think that this month lol ????

ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 17/08/2015 21:17

We must find Reni,

ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 17/08/2015 16:23

Daily 4pm rendezvous with DP sounds fab. Good luck!

I don't know anything about temping - I was all geared up to buy my thermometer online before the dawdling swimmers diagnosis. (Got disappointed in four different pharmacies, all of which only sold digital ones).

Reni's not stopped by lately, but she's the temp queen I think who might be able to offer some tips/advice.

FlourishingMrs · 17/08/2015 15:52

wow xx that's agreat find, yes not Really still out here, DP and I have a date at 4pm daily so really going for it. In True POAS addict fashion I found a pharmacy a few miles away they had two packets of OPK called Topcare, imported from America. Apparently they have never sold any the stocked them to try. now the poor owner might stock up and I would have left the island.

Bizarrely they are should quite a strong second line on day 21 not as strong as the control line. I was not expecting any line this late in the day.Maybe I did not ovulate? temp a bit scatty fertility friend still saying I am fertile.

OP posts:
ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 17/08/2015 15:27

Gosh, I had no idea that sort of thing existed! Will look into it, thank you Bec.

Flourishing are you still on your island paradise?

XxbecquixX · 17/08/2015 13:48

Hya flourishing I'm only on day CD5 but I'm practising with military precision for the main event this month lol
I've been looking into fertility lubricants which are supposed to be of great benefit but they are pricey.
Whilst looking tho I found this and wondered if it might be something worth a try for you Really?
Bec x

X sorry about your worries re damage. I think it's common to worry about that as they're often taken out awkwardly. Could you maybe get it checked out to put your mind at ease?

ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 14/08/2015 13:26

Hi all

Sorry I disappeared yesterday - it's been a strange 24 hours!

Thanks Fridge, Flourishing and Xx for your sympathies....much appreciated!

It's all a bit of a surprise, as I just assumed being 38 that any ishoos would be me. As did DH (so he admitted!).

Fridge thanks loads for the tips re magnesium, zinc etc. I'm definitely going to get DH on those (though he's a bit of a baby when it comes to swallowing supplements - at least the zinc ones are tiny!).

Fridge do you remember what percentages your DH had re his motility? DH's motility is pretty poor. About 17% good, another 9% not bad which means 26% capable of 'doing something'. The consultant said normal healthy sperm is over 50% good.

I'm just not sure IVF is for us (funny, we were discussing this on the thread just the other week. Never guessed we'd be here actually having to consider it, a week later).

It's weird. I feel excited about adoption, but not about IVF. And yet - I know adoption can be fraught with difficulties.

DH has taken it surprisingly on the chin. Given my age, we'd always talked about adoption and he's not overly concerned about passing on his genes, just wants a family. He's pretty laid back like that - like his swimmers!!

The only thing is, his dad passed away ten years ago who he was really really close to - so it would be a shame he wouldn't get a little bit of his dad, IYSWIM. I told him that his dad raised him to be a lovely man, and he would pass that on to an adopted child.

I will still hang about this thread even though our TTC has taken a bit of a blow. I'm ovulating today (nice to know that I deffo am for sure!) and we're still DTD while we're in this limbo deciding what to do,m. You never know!

XxbecquixX · 14/08/2015 07:42

Gutted, I gave in and bought a pack of frer at asda, (on sale 2 for £6 by the way) and came home weed on it then as I wiped AF!!
Isn't it a funny thing, you know in your in your gut that's it's negative but something makes you hold out that tiny glimmer of hope anyway grrrr
I had a mirena fitted after having my last baby, never used any other contraception (we practice the withdrawal method, been married for 18 yrs works for us) and it really spaced me out, fuzzy head and weight gain, so after a year I had it removed and the doctor had a hell of a time getting it out, it seemed a bit stuck, I've been convincing myself ever since that it's damaged me, Sad so I think every negative cycle from here on in its gunna play on my mind even more.
