June BFP anyone?

I would prefer a July now as then I'm looking forward and not thinking about the month I lost. I'm the sort of person draws line under it and look forward so find it hard reading a June bus when nothing is going to happen in June for me (totally selfish I know - hanging head in shame )

if others want to hang on here I will stay for the ride until July of course as don't want lose my buddies!

Are we starting July now or hanging out here until the end of the month?

itsme I went after 10 months of being of contraception. Although not actively trying for all that. Before you are referred to fertility if under 35 and have not clamydia you have to be trying for a year.
If you are over 35 or had chlamydia in the past you only have to wait 6 months.
My GP started investigations because said by time they are done our year trying will be up. She said they always test chlamydia antibodies as someone may have had it without knowing. And if you have any of those you get a referral straight away no faffing around as they increase chances of tube damage. I felt very lucky not to have those but then if it is due to that there is stuff that can be done - compared to unknown reasons

Birchy how long did you leave it before docs? We went in October to make sure I had all the right supplements etc (i have folic acid pescribed in a large dose because of history of spina bifida) so I thought we had to wait a year before we go back?

itsme we are just waiting on dh sa results. I broached it as going to Dr as nothing happening and just getting it registered that we are trying in case we do need any referrals. they then did thyroid day 3 and day 22 tests and chlamydia tests on me. then said they would also need dh sa done. so it was easy as was just part of work up and he seen I was also having lots of tests that wern't very nice either. I think that worked well as was not just one of us who was being investigated.

Itsme - sorry things are a bit crappy. How does DH feel about getting a SA? I don't think it's an unreasonable thing to ask, but obviously needs a bit of sensitivity! Good luck. It'll be nice to have you on the July bus (although obviously I hope you get thrown off!!) x

Hayleycookie that sounds horrible. I've only read articles on there rather than interact in forums but quite frankly on such a sensitive subject no-one should make you feel like that.

My ovulation is due around 7th July, 10-11 days after af so I'm probably a little behind everyone but it would be good to be in the July gang ????

glam I'm using ovia but second what Ping said about it needing a few months data to get the best use. But I think that goes for any app or even method of tracking.

On a totally unrelated note: does anyone here use baby center forums? I just posted my first post about ttc and got 3 bitchy responses asking how I check my ovulation and one woman said "I don't think you belong here", then a few sarcastic comments about me being a newbie. Feel awful now!

At least if it doesn't happen this month I get to spend the next month on the July bus with all you lovely ladies! We WILL get pregnant soon!!

I'm feeling crampy so I think the witch is going to get me too. I am desperately trying to stay positive but when do you think it's reasonable to get DH to get an SA? This will be our tenth cycle... I don't want to point fingers but I had a scan for suspected ovary cysts a year ago and they said everything was fine.. I suppose things can change.

I ovulated CD12 this time and my cycles have been from 25-32 days so had to use opks to be sure.

Go have fun and not think about it too much, just obviously not overboard. It avoids the whole 'ooh your not drinking, have you got some exciting news? ;)' conversation as well ...

prince's I haven't tested again today, will go and buy a frer in the morning if af doesn't arrive before then. I take it your spotting became definite af then?

Thanks Princes and Suz. No I'm not temping or doing opks, just using a calendar and as I said based on cramps on day 12. Cycle is usually 29 or thereabouts - last cycle (before we started trying) was 35 but that was out of the ordinary for me.
Since we're TTC I wasn't planning on going wild at the weekend but yeah Suz thank you that is a good point...
Hmm... well I definitely wouldn't do it before Friday anyway, I guess I'll just see how I'm doing over the next couple of days. x

It's very early to ovulate on cd12 of 29-35 day cycles but not impossible. I only have 26-27 day cycle and don't ovulate till cd14 or 15. Did you use any opks or temp to confirm ovulation? If you certain of ovulation then it could be possible to show a positive hpt on 9-10dpo but with you being quite a while off of AF I'm not sure if it would show.

I'd say go out and enjoy yourself as 9 months is a long time sober!
