Ok thanks suz. Got a smiley face on opk 6 days ago so would I still feel those things now. I too am constantly needing to eat. I guess I am coming up to the last week off tww and usually do get really Hungary the run up to AF. Hope it's not that though.

Vap0 · 25/05/2015 19:46

I wish I had sore boobs! It's a great sign! Good luck to the sore boob brigade Flowers
flat do you think you will have an operation to help sort things? Will they do it now you are trying? Does it cause any complications when pregnant? Or is it just the getting pregnant that is the problem?
Yeah, I'm away a lot, most of the time I can plan things but I am often summoned my presence is often requested in other parts of the country at the drop of a hat which is frustrating! I've been lucky the last couple of moths and been home for most of the last 2 fertile windows. Fingers crossed I can arrange it for June too Smile but hopefully I won't need to Wink

Work doesn't half get in the way of ttc! I hope you don't use all your holidays up trying, unless you manage to make them nice trips away. Could you book them and then see if they would be sending you away and if not cancel them? Muwahaha!

FlatWhiteToGo · 25/05/2015 19:11

Good luck when you see the doctor Vap - that all sounds incredibly frustrating! Sod's law you ovulate when you're about to start clomid. Hopefully you'll now ovulate more regularly all by yourself! That's really annoying having to spend so much money on OPKs...and in hindsight they would never have shown anything. Fingers crossed over the next few months you'll get some good news.

You mentioned that you spend a lot of times in hotels - do you get any control over when you get sent away? I'm just thinking in terms of DTD around the right time. It's something we have to work around as I'm often away from home, so I'm having to plan annual leave around when I MAY be ovulating!

From what I have been told, they can never cure endometriosis but you can have surgery to improve it for a few years (they either cut or laser it away). Long term, being on the pill improves the symptoms...and ultimately many women decide to have a hysterectomy. All scary stuff Sad.

In other news, hello to all the newbies. It's lovely to see some more people on here. Hopefully you'll all have short journeys, and in the meantime I'm sorry about all the sore boobs!

MyNameIsSuz · 25/05/2015 18:50

My boobs hurt too, but too early to be pg I think - along with a shooting pain in my side earlier today and a fierce hunger, I think that's ovulation. Best get cracking!!!

Rachelc82 · 25/05/2015 14:16

5/6 dpo today, the sides of my boobs started to hurt especially when lying on them, has anyone else felt the same? Feeling tired also but I have been working a month of night shift so not sure if it's just that. My boobs do usually become sore near time of AF but not usually this soon. Any advise would be much appreciated.

Vap0 · 25/05/2015 08:16

Thunder your dates sound similar to mine. AF due 4th June. 4dpo today. And I've been feeling absolutely exhausted since ovulation day, needing to go back to bed after 10+ hrs sleep. I really hope this is a sign! Last month from the notes I made I wasn't feeling so fatigued until 8dpo.
Is this a common thing after ovulation when expecting a bfp? Or is it just normal when you're not?

pulpi · 25/05/2015 06:36

Welcome to the June bus, ladies!

thundernlightning · 25/05/2015 03:29

Can I jump on? The May bus was a no-go so here's hoping for a BFP in June. Am actually feeling incredibly fatigued and in my TWW (due on the 5th) so really hopeful for this cycle.

Good luck to everybody trying, especially the people who've been trying for a while. I hope June's the month!

hopingforbaby3 · 25/05/2015 01:53

Hey ladies, I'm really hoping this is our month for BFPs :)
I am 28, DH is 31, we have two DDs (2 year old and 3 year old) and we would really love to conceive baby number #3. I had a BFP there last month but recently lost it through early MC, but after a few days feeling sorry for myself I'm ready to try again. I'm on CD8 :) lots of baby dust to you x

pingoose · 24/05/2015 23:29

glamhelp I've been temping to know my dpo, but I'm really not sure how accurate I've been - my app (Ovia) has just told me the days are wrong, and I've ovulated later than I thought. Sigh!

Thisisbonkers fingers crossed for some holiday luck!

Thisisbonkers · 24/05/2015 20:51

I got kicked off the May bus. I'm due to ovulate whilst on holiday so hopefully that will prove lucky!

Ttc #1, cycle 6? 7?

Vap0 · 24/05/2015 20:38

Ovulation stopped because of the
depo, it just took forever to get out of my system.
I did have an appointment to get clomid in April but I ovulated in April so he wouldn't give it to me. Sent me away for another 3 months to keep trying.
Hopefully now I'm ovulating (or so I hope) then things will just happen without any help.
I was using opk's every day for months as I thought I may be ovulating at a funny time but all negative. Even started testing twice a day presuming I was missing ovulation if it happened in the evening. Went though a couple of hundred so far this year and it turns out that I just wasn't ovulating. I'm a bit of an addict! Ha.
Fast forward to now and only test during the week when I should be ovulating as I think things are a little more normal now and know when to expect it.
Not sure what happens next time I see the Dr in 3 months? Hopefully I won't need to see him!

Can they fix this endomitriosis? Or is it just something you have to live with?

FlatWhiteToGo · 24/05/2015 19:02

P.S. Thank you Smile. Hopefully you there won't be any tears when we DTD this month. DH doesn't seem to get particularly turned on by that move.

FlatWhiteToGo · 24/05/2015 19:00

Oh wow, here I am whining after 6 months and you've been trying for 20! That all sounds incredibly frustrating. Do you do OPKs throughout the whole month? Are the doctors able to give you anything to assist ovulation? Do they know what's causing it, or like everything to do with this bloody TTC business is it all just part of the big unknown?x

Vap0 · 24/05/2015 16:58

I'm sorry you have that it sounds crap! Hope you are successful this month. And more importantly doesn't hurt too much! I don't think there is any actual way of knowing if you ovulate unless you have a blood test on the right day. I've never had one confirmed because I'm not particularly regular and have never managed to get in on the right day so am thinking all that can be done is just accept that I probably ovulate just after a positive test. I've had months of nothing on opks, only 2 confirmed ovulations a over 20 month period, last month and this month which makes me hopeful it is actual ovulation and not just a surge.

Ttc 20 months
But only 2nd month where I've ovulated so I suppose it's really only 2 Sad
3dpo

FlatWhiteToGo · 24/05/2015 15:30

That's really interesting Vap. I always thought there MUST be a fairly strong link between getting a positive OPK and actually following through with ovulation, but I've seen so many people on here saying that you can get the LH surge but then the actual ovulation part, for whatever reason, doesn't happen. That's a good sign though. Which one's the hycosy? There are so many procedures, and so many drugs, I can so confused about what is for what!

I know! 10 years old was miserable. I just developed really early; I was 5ft5 at 10 and stopped growing a year or two later! Ridiculous!

So apparently endometriosis is where endometrial tissue is found outside the uterus and 'trapped' in other places where it shouldn't be (vagina, cervix, fallopian tubes...even your lungs and brain in v. rare cases). There are a whole load of symptoms, including v painful periods, pain having sex, pain in the pelvic area or tummy, bowel problems etc. One symptom is an inability to get pregnant. I went to see my doctor as for quite some time I have had agonising pain in my pelvic area (particularly around AF time) and pain when having sex (not soreness, but absolute agony and feeling like somebody is stabbing me 'down there'...great when TTC!). Anyway, as a result of this I need to get checked for STIs (great seeing as I've been with DH for years and we've both been tested since getting together!), then have to have an appointment with a gynae consultant then most likely (but still TBC) have laporoscopic surgery where they basically shove a camera in your abdomen and take a look around. It looked like I was going to have to wait until August for the initial STI test, but luckily I may be able to go privately through my work PMI. Fingers crossed I have some answers soon. We've 'only' been trying 5 cycles (in 6th now), but I just know something is up because of all the pain so I just want to get that started.

I'm currently CD10 so starting to prepare for DTD. It's not helpful that I now get a little nervous about it because of the pain!!! How about you? How long have you been trying and how far are you in this cycle?

Vap0 · 24/05/2015 14:41

flat im pretty sure the depo will be gone after 6 years, that's a very long time.
I know what you're saying about temping, I couldn't do it either as it would interfere with my sleep too much and I'm in hotels so often that I doubt it would be accurate. Also I hear drink interferes with the temp which would be useless for me.
Not sure how reliable the opk's are, the only experience I have of it is I had a hycosy scan where the doc said he could see a potential follicle which could possibly grow big enough. After seeing him 3 months later he corrected his statement and said "I said I may have seen a follicle which could have possibly developed into something viable but at the same time could have shrivelled away". I didn't have a positive opk that month. The 2 months after I did. So what I make of this is I didn't ovulate and didnt have an opk. The last 2 months I have had an opk and so am hoping that means I have ovulated.

10 is very young for periods. Have you been to see you dr about Ttc? So is this your 7th month Ttc? What implications are there if you do have endomitrioisis? How does it affect you? Will it mean you'll need drugs to help concieve? Or will it just take longer?
I have drank for the past 19 months, but for some reason this month I feel differently about it and am not drinking. Really hoping im in with a chance this time which is probably more to do with it. I have to say it is making a difference with my weight, usually my weight dips by a Friday morning and then bounces back up a couple of lbs after a weekend of drinking, hoping by Monday I'll be another lb lighter and if so it will all have been worth not drinking this weekend.
How many dpo are you at the minute? When will you be testing?

FlatWhiteToGo · 24/05/2015 14:02

Vap - I've been off depo 6 years now, but was on it for a long, long time. I'm a bit worried as I suffered from EDs for quite some time, so together with depo I didn't have periods between the ages of 14 - 25 (having started age 10). My periods returned and appear to be regular, but I don't know whether I ovulate Hmm. I do OPKs and get the LH surge (although this varies between CD13-22!) so I have nothing to suggest I DON'T ovulate, but I struggle with temping so only have the OPKs to go on (which don't actually prove that ovulation takes place!).

In other happier news, well done on the weight loss Smile. That's an amazing achievement! You must feel great Smile. Maybe your body's delaying that BFP so you can have the chance to show off your hot bod Wink?! Seriously though, well done!

As for booze in the TWW, I'm going to start having the odd drink. I'm not a massive drinker anyway, so if I DO drink it won't be more than 2-3 glasses of Prosecco on a Friday night. I never thought I'd think that, but I've just spent 6 months being SO VIRTUOUS and putting myself in the "are you pregnant?" firing line by agonising over every thing I eat and stressing about how to respond if I'm told to drink , even stopped doing crunches at the gym in case I was damaging my unborn baby...after last month's hell (basically had convinced myself I was pregnant, then it turns out I probably have endometriosis which probably significantly reduces my chances of conceiving) I need to do everything I can to be 'normal' and not get too hopeful/obsessed with TTC as it's so unlikely to happen Sad.

Vap0 · 24/05/2015 10:11

Whoops! Posted without finishing
Annihilation an ovulation
If it's correct I should be able to test a week on Monday!

Vap0 · 24/05/2015 10:09

goose yep! I can't help but symptom spot! Spotting at this time may be a good thing, could be implantation...

I've been totally wiped out for 3 days. 10 hrs plus sleep and still exhausted, just wanting to sit down or go back to bed all day. Only 3dpo today. Good job it's the weekend.
Managed Friday and Saturday without a drink. Phew! Not easy for me, I'm usually the 1st one at the bar. Once I get my bfp it will be no problem, it's just all this waiting...
The tiredness is a hopeful sign, I hope! If not I'm going to get to the dr in a couple of weeks.

Just looked on annihilation calendar and it says ovulation should occur on dpo9 for my cycle.

glamhelp · 24/05/2015 10:03

Spotting is good though ping??

When you all say x number of DPO is this because you know this through temping or opks or what?

glamhelp · 24/05/2015 10:00

Feeling a bit down about it today.. For the first time EVER I actually noticed I EWCM on Friday but DP was too tired so thought I'd try last night just to give it one last shot and he fell asleep on the couch Sad.

We were regularly DTD up until Friday so I'm hoping that something might still stick...

I was just basing it on the period tracker app I was using and did think it was a wee bit out (ovulation should have been on Thursday) so geared up for that and then stopped DTD when I actually had the signs.. Annoyed that we were really trying and now might've missed it Sad

I really didn't want to get too wrapped up in temping, opks etc but I can tell I'm going to.. We'd been discussing TTC since just before Christmas and eventually decided to really go for it this month.

Oh well, maybe all the bedroom antics earlier the week could still surprise us! Fingers crossed!!

pingoose · 24/05/2015 09:27

Anyone else symptom spotting right now? I'm only 4 dpo, but have a headache and a tiny bit of spotting. No idea what symptoms I'm supposed to be looking out for or when they show up though!

louwn · 24/05/2015 00:28

Hi. I'm TTC #1, cycle 1, age 30. 7 dpo (I think!) today and have some mild cramping. Fingers crossed thats a positive sign but would be very lucky to stick first time I think. Though been on holiday so had a lot of time to dtd!!

smellsofelderberries · 24/05/2015 00:03

I have been drinking moderately during the TWW. I will have 1 glass of wine a few times a week if we're out with friends, but more because I don't want the questions/'knowing' looks as I am usually fairly free with my consumption. I noticed last TWW I was also drinking less coffee without making an active choice to drink less.

I'm just waiting for things to...finish up here so I can jump DH again. We burnt out last month a bit. I'm hoping to keep things a little more fun this month as opposed to routine.
