8 days late, 3 negative tests - what's going on?

Hi,
I'm now on day 39 (usually a fairly regular 29 days) and have gotten three negative results. On Sunday, I started getting PMS symptoms - slight cramping, bit of nausea, slightly tender breasts. But no AF. This morning, I had a teeny amount of spotting but nothing since. Last month, I also had a very late period - 39 days, which the doctor attributed to stress (planning a wedding, getting a new job, moving to Scotland and a death in the family) and I'm still quite stressed but I never have periods like this so I'm freaking out! Has this happened to any of you ladies? Any advice welcome!

No, I thought I'd see if I missed more than one period and if so then I would go and see my GP, not sure why it happened to be honest, I've got a 6 month old and although my periods returned when he was 8 weeks I just put it down to my hormones still being a bit unsettled. If you're concerned maybe you could discuss it with your GP, if your period doesn't come at all they may do a blood test for you.

Hi PrincessShcherbatskaya, I hope you are right. It's been hugely stressful so hopefully it's just that! Did you get a hormone test when that happened? Or just attribute it too stress?

Hi, I'm not trying for a baby but last month I had a 39 day cycle which is very unusual for me, if anything mine are normally around 21 days. I did so many pregnancy tests I lost count, all were negative. I've just put it down to a random longer than usual cycle. I think if you miss more than three periods in a row that's when your GP will start investigating. If you're under some stress your hormones may just be a bit out of kilter.

I clearly posted this after everyone had gone to bed, silly of me! Still no sign! Should I be as worried as I am?
