Brickie that's great news on the digi :) also glad your feeling sick, nothing personal, it's just a positive sign. I understand that you would still be a bag of nerves though, after mc pregnancy must be terrifying but I'm sure your doing your best to relax as much as you can.

Mega yes we have had all tests and are on a long waiting list for ivf, wouldn't be due treatment until jan probably. All is fine with me, DH has good sperm apart from 20% antibodies which could be the reason for the delay in conceiving. It's certainly not due to timing issues, we have more than covered every fertile period for almost 2 yrs so I do feel that his sperm may be slacking but he's on A LOT of vits and quite smoking a year ago so perhaps that helped to get our bfp when we did, but sadly ended in mmc.

But we did it once, we will do it again! And hopefully before we get up the ivf list as the thought terrifies me!

Don't feel bad about posting brickie. It's good to hear how you're doing. I can understand that you're still very nervous. Great that you got a 3+ and also that you're starting to feel a bit queasy.

brickiemum2 · 19/05/2015 21:25

Welcome temp
I'm ok thanks Romeo 5+5 today but still a bag of nerves. Conscious of not using this thread to have a whinge though, I've spent long enough ttc and going through mc so don't want to then seem like I'm moaning about symptoms lol. As it happens I poas a cb digi this morning and got 3+ plus was late to work this morning as I felt far too sick to travel there (ended up going clutching a plastic bag...lovely)
Mary's I'm 37 too and I don't feel it's a major factor.
Good luck to drifting Romeo and Mary's when you poas.

MarysPrayer · 19/05/2015 21:19

Go on then, I'll share my chocolate. Only 'cos you're all so lovely.Grin I might have gone mad without this thread you know! Confused

megarobotdiscoparty · 19/05/2015 21:01

Ooh and good luck for tomorrow Mama! It'll be good to get those cogs turning - days will go quickly too!

megarobotdiscoparty · 19/05/2015 21:00

Welcome temp - I concede defeat on having the longest and most unwieldy username! The crown is yours!

mama I had suspected PCOS from before I met DH so I was ready for it when we started trying and it didn't work. I found a nice GP and didn't leave her alone til she referred me - took a while but we got there. I'm not sure where you stand having had a MC but a good GP could tell you...have you tried docs at all?

Mary I have confidence you'll get there, 37 is not absolutely not too late! It just feels like forever right now...but each cycle is another closer to your BFP. In the meantime...you sharing that chocolate?

temperamentalamongcorvids · 19/05/2015 20:59

Thanks for the Welcome!

Marys I'm 37 too. The consultant didn't seem at all bothered when I asked if age was an important factor. she seemed to feel as I had dc 37 isnt a worryingly old state to be in.

Anyway I know lots of.people who've had their first at 40+!

Mamama31 · 19/05/2015 20:53

Thanks Marys. I'm actually looking forward to some normality (this could backfire massively).

MarysPrayer · 19/05/2015 20:40

Thanks Mamama Grin Good luck for your first day back.

I forgot to say welcome to Honey. Sorry to hear that you've had such a horrible time.

Mamama31 · 19/05/2015 20:32

I'm back to work tomorrow after 5 wks off. Will be glad to have some routine in my life again but feeling a bit concerned that I'm going to feel very tired after lazing around for so long! Time to motivate my ass!!!!!

Mamama31 · 19/05/2015 20:31

Marys hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer for your bfp. I know lots of 37/38yo ladies who are pregnant now so it happens....often!

MarysPrayer · 19/05/2015 20:13

Welcome temperamental. That's one very long username! Smile

I have one dd who is 2.6. I've wanted dc2 for 18 months now but dh only decided he was on board in January. Fell pg on the first attempt with dd, alas not so lucky this time. Being 37 isn't filling me with much hope either.

Oh ignore me ladies. AF is due soon and I'm feeling moody

Mamama31 · 19/05/2015 20:10

Temp welcome! Of course you can join. I'm sorry for your loss and it must be so difficult when it has happened previously also but wonderful that you have 2dc. You will be in the 2ww with some other ladies on here to help the time go in, I hope it passes quickly for you and results in a sticky bfp.

temperamentalamongcorvids · 19/05/2015 20:03

Can I please join in? I'm sorry to read about the tough times you've all been through, and it's great to see so much positivity. Makes me think this is a good place for me just Now!

We are ttc no 3 after a mc in December, I've got 2 dc, aged 4 and 2. Before my successful pregnancies I had 3 mc so am still technically under the rcm clinic.

Currently in the 2ww, pretty sure I ov'd Friday so now 4dpo. How time drags...

Mamama31 · 19/05/2015 19:54

Thanks Mega! your right though, you do get tough when ttc has taken a long time. Things become more easily accepted as you realise that you can't keep being a psycho as it could go on for a very long time.

Mega did you have any fertility investigations prior to conceiving your 2yo? It took us almost 2yrs for our bfp then mmc happened so hoping it's not going to be another long wait!

megarobotdiscoparty · 19/05/2015 19:40

Ah adventure I have 1 DC - he's 2 this week. He was 2 years in the making and worth the wait. We never really expected to have more than 1 so I do feel a bit greedy sometimes!

megarobotdiscoparty · 19/05/2015 19:37

Mama that's crazy about your ex! That's a gutsy way to handle it too. This stuff makes you tough.

Just did an OPK - faint line so negative. Not going to do a pregnancy test - just going to put my feet up and wait for AF. Outside chance of a hit last week but definitely very remote!
Although lots of cm ever since...which was a symptom last time And I'm not symptom spotting so that's all there is to it.

Get that delicious wine poured red - here's to the next round!

Mamama31 · 19/05/2015 19:10

Good luck poas ladies! Romeo it's so hard to distinguish af symptoms against pregnancy symptoms. The month I got my bfp I was convinced af was coming as I had my "usual" sore boobs, but that turned out to be a pregnancy symptom. You just never know! Hoping it's a preggo one for you! How long do you usually have sore boobs pre af? My only clue was that I'd normally have sore boobs 5-6 days before af and they only started getting sore 2 days before af would have been due, so a bit later and after that they were AGONY! Like 2 bricks!!!! ( I want my brick boobs back!)

Romeolovesjuliet · 19/05/2015 19:04

Sorry for AF red, won't be long until you get your next go and in the meantime there's wine!
I think drifting is next to POAS, then me and Mary's. Pretty sure it's not my month though - sore boobs but think that's AF. This month was my last chance to get to the 12 week point before my original due date too.
How are you feeling brickie?

brickiemum2 · 19/05/2015 18:53

Sorry af got you redwine
You dealt with that better than I would have mama
Anyone due to poas soon?

Mamama31 · 19/05/2015 18:39

Thanks Disney, it was certainly a testing time but I am proud I got through it and did all the right things. After all its not like they knew what I was going through (ds didn't know either) and you can't time everyone's pregnancies or births so the only thing you can do is accept and get on with it- even when feeling so sad for yourself and this whole situation.

Mamama31 · 19/05/2015 18:36

Red it was incredibly bad timing in a lot of ways, but I was able to detach myself from it and felt quite proud of myself for dealing with it so well. I even sent a nice, congratulating msg and bought a nice little outfit from ds....two things I thought I'd not be able to do, but when I did I felt good about it and felt stronger.

Red get that wine opened! You deserve it! Cd1 always = vino!! Hope your feeling ok.

DisneyMillie · 19/05/2015 18:34

That must have been really difficult mama - hugs xxx

Sorry AF got you redwine - a nice big glass of wine and stay hopeful - next month will be the one I'm sure x

redredwine4 · 19/05/2015 18:20

mama how difficult that your ex's gf gave birth then! How awful for you.

CD1 for me now officially. It's always horrible when I get the first pangs saying it's on its way. Yesterday evening I felt so low. Now it's here, however, I have only one thought- WINE!!

Mamama31 · 19/05/2015 18:11

Adventure and Disney, I know, having a teenager makes me feel old even though I'm not really! I was just young when I had him! And he will be the best big brother in the world, he's such a lovely boy he would be a great help! He has a little sister (his dad and GF had a baby a few days after my d&c- timing or what?!) and he is loving being a big brother! I just can't wait until I can give him a sibling also.

So who is poas next? I need to see some bfp's!
