Well done Gen on getting accepted.
Do you only have to wait one period, that's good.
I had my last MC in December, and they made me wait two, one late Jan and one late feb!! Then I signed up 5th March.

Hope you came away with a goody bag!!

Indiedog · 05/05/2015 18:01

Oh girlie, that is rubbish. So sorry it didn't go to plan. As others have said, a lot can change in a week, so I will keep everything crossed for you. As you said, not a lot you can do to change things, just try to keep positive, keep yourself and your mind busy. Positive vibes xxx
And fricking car damage, sooo annoying.

Thinking of you, be strong xx

girliesaints · 05/05/2015 17:57

Congrats Gen. It's a fab programme x

Marchgirl · 05/05/2015 17:40

Sorry i can't help mummyt. I had a look through my bumph but it doesn't mention thyroid or its treatment on the things you can't have, although as someone said, the cover all is you have to have unexplained mc and i know that thyroid is a cause, even though you are being treated for it and have it under control. Might be worth phoning the general helpline if there is one. You could just pretend you were making an innocent enquiry without knowing anything about it.

Yay for getting accepted gen! Hope af arrives soon so you can crack on

Hi all, I've been accepted!! So happy....just want to get started but as I only had my last miscarriage last week I have to wait for next period I have never wanted a period so much!

mummytaylor2903 · 05/05/2015 14:59

Sorry to hear about your scan girlie! That limbo between scans is horrible!!

Thanks choccy, they've said because my thyroid levels are always optimal & I'm heavily monitored with frequent blood tests & increased meds that it's definitely not my thyroid causing things! Hate how contradicting everything about this process is! X

girliesaints · 05/05/2015 14:52

Back next Wednesday for next scan. This time at Epu, so if it's bad news I can access their services quick pronto. Shed lots of tears this morning but now I'm going for head in sand approach as can't do anything about it. Might have also googled accuracy between 6 & 7 wk scans and the difference Between the weeks is huge. Not going anyway near Google for the rest of the week.

Choccywoccydodah · 05/05/2015 14:44

Ffs girlie on both accounts!
Poor you now having to stress out for another frikkin week! I've read that a lot of six week scans show nothing, and some show a hb and fetal pole etc. please try not to worry. I know it's now going to be a long week for you, but if anything try to think positive. No bleeding I'm guessing? And stay away from Google, it's the devil!!
And yes, what a twat with the bus! Have they got cctv you could look at?

Mummytaylor, so sorry about your losses :(
I was lead to believe with the trial, you had to have unexplained losses, so if they're saying you have a thyroid problem, then in effect that's not an unexplained loss of that makes sense??
Sorry you've been told one thing then another, it's crap when all you want are bloody answers and someone to help you get pregnant and it stick!!!

clairemorgan81 · 05/05/2015 14:00

oh so sorry girlie, try and stay hopeful you never know I have heard so many stories where all has been ok....sending you love as I know it must have been awful this morning.....oh and as if your morning wasn't bad enough - cheeky sod doing that to your car. Angry
do you go back next Tuesday?x

mummytaylor2903 · 05/05/2015 13:29

Hi ladies!

We were initially invited to join the trial at our first rmc appointment, told we would be accepted even though I've got an under active thyroid. Then saw the consultant last week for our results who told us we wouldn't be able to join because of my thyroid! So weeks of stressing, researching & decision making was for nothing! Those of you who've started the trial do you know if what we've been told is correct? Just doubtful after being told opposite things!! All our results came back normal so TTC again with no change of new hope is daunting! We've got a 4 year old DD by the way & had 3 late first trimester losses in the past year! X

girliesaints · 05/05/2015 13:17

Yep 6 wks today. Apparently it had happened before on the trial and gone on to be ok but as I've been here before I'm doubtful but I'm carrying on the trial until such time as we know either way.

Louise- no they didn't leave details but I think it's a bus as some of the dent is pretty high up and it's left red
Paint- ggrh!

LouiseM1987 · 05/05/2015 13:11

Oh girlie ... Fingers crossed next week shows more. A week can show such a big difference. Are you 6 weeks today ?
Stay positive !

What a twat... I take it they didn't leave any details ? Xx

Kazz2112 · 05/05/2015 13:09

Oh no. So sorry to hear that Girlie. Try to stay positive and dont give up hope.x

girliesaints · 05/05/2015 13:02

Back from scan and not good news. Whilst they could see a pregnancy sack, it was smaller than it should be according to my dates and nothing could be seen in side it. So it either means my dates are out or it's not viable.

So got to go back next week for another scan to know for certain. Going to try and stay positive but not that hopeful as been here before. ??

Oh and some bugger hit my car outside the hospital and has left me with a repair bill!

Choccywoccydodah · 05/05/2015 10:04

Louise just been talking on the phone to D about you :) Obviously nothing in depth, just how you've got your + etc and scan soon :)
They're getting busy with more referrals in Cov and hopefully 2 more bfps in the pipeline this week :)

girliesaints · 05/05/2015 08:35
