Sorry for the BFNs. Sometimes women don't test positive until a few days after af due date. If af does come, it's a new cycle which comes with new hope as well. And lots of DTD fun as well. I've felt much more positive when AF came this time despite having failed so many cycles, which of course is frustrating too. But through all these cycles of frustration and upset I've realised that my DP is a fantastic man whom I can rely on. So guess in a way it has also strengthened our rship which is going to help when we eventually manage to have a baby. (Please remind me I've said this if I get into despair again at my next tww).

For those who are testing today or over the weekend - fx

elle & frank I was due AF yesterday and nothing and BFN too... still no signs so am hoping when I retest it may show something, not going to retest til tomorrow I think... depending on when my amazon package arrives. I would just like AF to arrive or a BFP one way or other soon! fed up of waiting now!

My AF is due today too Elle. BFN this morning. Tender breasts today and since the day before yesterday which are typical when I'm coming on. I think I missed the boat this month.

This is the 1st time I have done this. But have been following this thread. This is my 1st TWW and it is killing me. I have 14dpo and AF due today, BFN this morning....losing hope....

Thats the ones i've ordered violet so hopefully they come tomorrow and i'll test saturday morning (ahead of a few drinks saturday night).

It could do Sarah heard of ladies on here getting their bfps as early as 9 dpo, but others getting theirs a week or more after af due? If testing before af due or before 14 dpo would think you should use a frer though,

What does everyone think about me testing at approx 12dpo (if i actually ovulated at the time my app said). Will it work?

I am on day 29 of my cycle but testing negative. I've done 3 tests! But I think I have long cycles so I don't even know if I'm late or not. I'm feeling unbelieveably tired and have been so grumpy-more than just PMT-but I know I'm probably being too optimistic! The waiting game is hard!

Cannot wait til end of tomorrow! I am working from home which is such a treat! I don't have to get up for 2hrs after my normal wake up to be able to get ready for work and start at the same time as I would in office! Lush!!!

soda you have just reminded me I am booked for my wax next week... I really don't want AF to be here then! It better arrive soon if it is going to!! Gah! So hard being us ladies!
That makes me feel more positive heading about your friend and hers not showing for a few days, I think I am going to try one of my new ones tomorrow - as long as they don't arrive really late in the day as I worry that wouldn't be as effective? Hmmm... then if its BFN I will just have to take all my AF meds and supplies with me just in case!! And possibly have a couple of drinks but not go mad mad with them. If I wasn't paying such close attention I can see how people don't realise for a while that it has happened. But I don't want to go crazy!

gakay I might get myself one of those thermometers then, just to see, I am the same, wake loads in the night and am not a good sleeper but I guess if I can make it as consistent as possible then it would help? That is great about your DP saying he will cut back on things, least you know both doing all that you can then,

everyone sorry havent had a chance to catch up yet. DP is back from work a week early! Didnt even know until he phoned me asking to be picked up from the train station! HAPPY

bourbon I started temping last cycle. It is quite hard to temp at the same time every morning and I wake up in the middle of the night sometime. My timing is all over the place and I'm not sure how reliable my thermometer is as it's really cheap from Internet. But FF managed to detect ovulation which corresponded well to my peak days according to OPK. So I actually find temping quite helpful.

praying welcome. Yes, I wouldn't give up hope yet, like the others have said. Clearblue digital isn't sensitive and if you stitch like pain earlier in the week was implantation pain then it could still be too early for cb to pick it up.

I'm very happy - having heard I'm on new cycle DP is planning to abstain from smoking and drinking until I've ov'd to improve chance.

gakay and bourbon thanks for advice re apps. I have only put in 1 cycle of data so far so that's probably the confusion - plus my body is still just getting used to post pill life. You'll all be pleased to know I've been for a wax (TMI??!!) in preparation for a lot of dtd! I figured with the difference in the apps telling me when I'm fertile I'll just do it every day to cover all bases so to speak! You have to enjoy yourself and have fun in all this after all

violet praying and bourbon - my best friend didn't test positive until she was 9 days late and she was bang on regular. I felt very bad as she had a BFN and was disappointed so we went out drinking. She got a BFP 3 days later... All was well though and she's got a lovely baby now. I guess what I'm saying is everyone is different with testing - you just have to wait for those hormones to show themselves!

hopeful as far as I know going to the docs at this stage is just about getting you booked in for scans so you're 'in the system' so a couple of days won't make a difference.

bourbon and hopeful - I'd never really thought about telling DP. I sort of liked the idea of us finding out together as he's really excited too. But agree it does add pressure and I don't want to disappoint him. Hmmm hopefully I'll have that dilemma soon!

I hope we get some more BFP soon!!! I was on my walk back from tesco this lunch, bimbling along to the nashville soundtrack and nearly burst into tears for no reason at all. managed to stop myself - it wasn't even a sad song! felt like such a loser!

prayingandhoping yes I think leave it a couple of days as well if tested today? I don't know though, I think that will be a fair bit over then so might show then. But I have read it can take longer, it does sound hopeful though. I am sure if you have dtd that much it should have been caught during ovulation :) so FX

As a +be in case my cycle is longer this time, we DTD every other day for 2 weeks which with my short cycle is pretty much all you can! So shouldn't have missed my ovulation if it was later.... Fingers crossed

I used a clear blue digital first, then remember reading that they aren't very sensitive so went so went to the chemist (I live in a small village there wasn't any choice) and the most sensitive ones they had were called "sure sign ultra early" which apparently you can use 5 days before you are due AF. No idea if they are actually any good.

bourbon boo for early conference calls! However yay for finishing early :) i ordered the first response ones online as they're meant to be sensitive. I'm having pretty much the same symptoms as u apart from the sore boobs...but when i put my bra on today my nipples were sensitive

gakay i'm hoping they are early pregnancy symptoms however trying not to get my hopes up. Thinking about it i've been having spells of dizziness for at least a week (and right this second). Sorry for AF but as u said new hope! And sushi yum!

hopeful hi! I hope i'm not imagining all these symptoms lol had 7 hours sleep last night (normally i'm fine with 4-5) and still tired as we speak. U try and get as much sleep as possible now uv got ur BFP :)

Hello prayingandhoping ! , I agree with violet I have heard a lot of ladies on this site say that it took a while after AF was due before even getting a faint positive .. I don’t know the science of it all but it could be down to ovulating later in your cycle than you thought, and certain tests not being as sensitive
What test did you use? I tested a few days before AF was due and got a couple of negative results – that was with clear blue

Don’t want to get hopes up but I had the strange cramp feelings that you both have described, this was all week leading up to me testing positive…

As they say, you’re not out until AF arrives, so fingers crossed and test again in a few days maybe?

Hopefulnewbie I'm holding out fine at the moment but only 7dpo so know a test would definately be negative, when I'm 10 or so dpo I might be more tempted, but am trying to resist until 16dpo when if im lucky AF will be 3 days late.

Prayingandhoping At 7dpo today and woke up with really bad cramps that felt like AF coming at about 5:30 this morning. It hasn't come and Im only CD23 today. Cycles usually 26-29 days. Like you I don't get cramps until first day of full flow, so was confused.

I have heard people say they haven't got their bfp until af was a week or more late, so don't give up hope because of the bfn's. Also different tests have different sensitivities, if you google there should be a list somewhere that compares different ones, like frer, clearblue, asda, tesco etc. What are you testing with? Have been following this thread bit not posted before. This is all new to me!

I'm a bit confused today. My period is now officially late and I've tested twice and come up bfn ?? my period is always between 22-24 days (usually 24 just the last few cycles has been 22) which means I should have had AF between Tuesday and today and I usually spot for a day before too. But I've got school glue CM.... Sunday to Tuesday I had a stitch like feeling that came and went in the left side in my pelvic area. I thought it was AF coming but I don't usually get cramps until the first full day of flow. This felt very different. Was trying to not get my hopes up as it could have been anything, but now my AF hasn't come yet tested negative. I'm really confused. Think I'll wait till Saturday and if still nothing I'll test again? What do you think?

hopeful I am sure waiting til Monday won't be a problem, I am not sure what they do other than process a midwife referral? It is so exciting :)

I don't know if I have the patience for temping... and I am forgetful at the best of times - have to set reminders to take my folic acid at the moment...

I am so ready to go to sleep now. I think I am going to have to go for a walk at lunch to try and wake myself up. Least I am leaving work early today - that's always a bonus :)

I added in my symptoms to Ovia - and it came up with maybe pregnant! I think I will see over next few days, as perhaps it is too early to show for me, I guess it can take a while for hormones sometimes, ordered myself the ultra senstive ones from amazon so depending on when they arrive tomorrow I will try them :)

I know what you mean about not being able to focus at work, I should call my GP to make an appointment but it sounds stupid but I don’t want to, like if I do then im jinxing myself.. I think I will call Monday morning, a few days isn’t going to do any harm isit? it just gives me the weekend to get my head around it.. im just don’t want to get too excited and planning ahead as the test says im 1-2 weeks pregnant – is such early days that anything could happen
Not sure about the temping.. hopefully someone on here has a bit of experience and advice to give
