The waiting game!!!

bourbon - I'd go for it. There's never a "right" time to get pregnant and if it's your dream job plus you're stressed out where you are then you should absolutely go for it! As you say you're more likely to get pregnant when you're more relaxed anyway.

sarah - sorry your DP is away for so long. That must be tough, especially with timing of DTD!

So I'm experiencing a really bad case of cystitis! Argh! It's come on really badly today. I've had it before so I know what it is but driving myself mad as some forums say its a sign of v early pregnancy. But it could just be that ive been DTD too much!! Either way I've pretty much spent all morning sat at work on the loo! I've got some antibiotics (as I said I've had it before so have drugs at home) but not sure I want to take them in case Im pregnant. So painful!

soda how was your wkn? Think I might have joined you in tww - still not entirely sure as no peak on OPK yet but think might have peaked over the wkn outside testing time. Really confused. 2 lines (1 faint) on sat and sun then 1 line on Mon and today 2 lines again. But temp went slightly up today.

sarah sorry that your DP is away for so long. Hope he will be back early like he did last time and surprise you.

bourbon I would go for the new job too. Sounds like new job would make life easier for you which would help. And if you're going to feel happier, it would bring your stress level down and help with getting pg!

I've just committed myself to a 18 month long project at work. I know I'll be letting people down if I do get pg soon but am sure they will manage w/o me somehow.

Thanks sarah1391 that does make sense. And you are totally right that I wouldn't need to tell them for a while, I would feel guilt but I think for my sanity I need to be working somewhere that makes me happy. As otherwise that's not going to help with these things either. It would mean a paycut which isn't ideal, but actually when I look at the commute cost savings and things its not that bad.... Am def going to try to not stress, I think its hard cos I do really want the job so want to make sure I have everything perfect - answers for q's, outfit, all that kinda stuff!

Hi bourbon. I would go for it! Timing wouldn't be too bad as you wouldn't need to tell them for a few months and then you'd have a nice new job to go back to after ML. Try not to stress too much easier said than done.

DDog really does help :) DP was home for over a week this time when i only expected him back for 4 days so can't really complain and with my long cycles hopefully he'll be back at just the right time to get me pregnant!

I think this week should be ovulation time for us - we shall see.... I have an interview for a new job which I desperately want in first week of June... feel a bit nervous that if it worked out, I could also find out I am pregnant shortly after if it works out like that.... who knows?! But it would be bad timing? What would you all do? I don't want to keep putting off trying though... but the job is one I just can't not try for and I am so desperate to get out of my current workplace... I think the stress will make it not happen this week anyway...

sarah1391 awww sorry to hear he is away again :( good you have DDog to keep you company, having pets around does make it a bit easier :)

we are now just going to DTD at least every other day and see what happens this month... and hope that stressing over interview doesn't make too much hormonal issues just in case I don't get the job and end up having to stick it out here... :(

Thanks soda fx for you! Symptom spotting drives me crazy haha my nipples hurt last month and wasnt sure why so maybe it was to tell me i'd ovulated (also means i ovulated whilst DP was away so no wonder i'm not pregnant!)

I'm feeling sorry for myself today, DP left for work this morning for 3-4 weeks so getting some cuddles from DDog.

I guess I'm 5 days post ov - I had my positive on OPK on Tuesday evening so figured I ovulated on Wednesday. AF due a week on Friday so all about the wait for me. My nipples are sore today but they were sore last month after ovulation and I convinced myself I was pregnant and wasn't so trying not to get excited or overly symptom spot this time but much easier said than done!

london yes waiting is terrible! BFN = big fat negative, BFP = big fat positive (when taking a pregnancy test)

Think af will come tomorrow. This wait is awful.... What bfn and bfp mean please... Trying to look at positive here if af comes i can drink a glass of wine cant i before i give up again.

My clearblue fertility monitor did not pick up a peak even though I could see 2 lines on the stick over the weekend. I'm guessing I might have peaked sometime between sat and sun morning. Am now waiting for my temp to rise to confirm ov. I do really hope this month is the month.

sarah I had the same question b4 and have been reading lots of different websites. Think new cycle starts when AF in full flow.

I'm sorry blanket. That sounds like a torture. I hope you get your BFP soon. If AF does come then hope next month is the lucky month for you

I'm still waiting....I think (although not quite sure) I'm about a week late but still constant BFNs. Last night I was sure I would wake to either BFP or AF as I was exhausted and my boobs were really sore....but still nothing! This waiting game is a roller coaster!

Sarah if AF does arrive i aim to lose weight too-I would feel much better if I lost half a stone

Exactly gakay i'm trying to think positive and going to try and lose some weight before i get a BFP. Is when the spotting starts the first day of a new cycle?

sarah same here. for the last 3 cycles I've been spotting for several days b4 af made proper appearance.

I'm on the 4th day of high on OPK but still no peak yet. Want to ov asap and enter another tww!

london not everyone gets the same symptoms though so you're in with a good chance. My AF still hasnt come to much almost 12 hours after i first noticed it. I've been using tampons though but now i'm worried with the slight chance its maybe not a period if thats allowed?

Sarah keepings fx for you too. If not had before maybe its your month too. xxxxx. no breast pain at all so suspect its a cruel joke the slight pink mucas and blood red mucas last tue and thurs by my body, its now brown mucas but minor.

Hi all. Been distant from this thread because of the arrival of my AF earlier in the week. Was too downcast. Just coming off my menses and ready to start again. Onwards and upwards.

bourbon my pill bleed to first period cycle was 38 days and if this is AF my cycle was 43 days. But i thought a normal cycle for me would be 36-45 days so sounds about right. Was just getting myself worked up for no reason i think!

Thanks gakay. Its such a long wait till wed next week. Got severe to mild pain, cramp, in my left hip area but nothing else. My frend said her breasts were painful. So think its not this month. Its only month 2 ttc after 10 years of waiting. Good luck to you too gakay. Fx x

According to ovia, my AF is not due till 10/6 but FF thinks it's 11/6. We didn't manage to DTD yesterday despite my high because OH is very stressed with work. Hopefully we'll get to DTD lots over the long wkn.

londonrach TWW is two week wait, the 2 weeks between ovulation and when you're supposed to test/AF due. I've been crying almost every time AF arrived. If you are around 7-10 post-ov, brief spotting and cramps could be really good signs.
