TWW officially begins!!!!!

AF due 13th May and have no idea of how I'm going to wait that long!

This is our first cycle TTC baby #1 and since we have decided to try I have been very anxious. I just want this to happen, my close family have all had fertility issues and I've convinced myself I will too.

Just thought I'd start thus for support for all wanting some words if encouragement.

Not thinking about anything at mo babywise as i got so hurt last time. Hoping bloody af doesnt arrive in 3 weeks time. Middle of my fertile time at mo. Grin Soda sounds lovely! What was your dress like

gakay · 09/06/2015 15:36

soda that's really romantic! Looks like we could be wedding-planning buddies as well as poas buddies. So you are going to have a winter wedding too?
I think you are right about summer weddings where you have the potential to get really disappointed by the weather.

bourbon so sorry for the bfn. Was hoping your feeling unwell yesterday could be a sign. But it may still be too early like your app says. Try and wait until the day b4 you test again. Some women find it takes a while for the body to get used to not being on the pill, especially if you cycles are not back to regular. I don't have any tips - got pg in my 1st cycle but it didn't last - guess hormones were not quite right then.

Wedding in Vegas sounds really exciting! Did you have many friends and family with you?

We've sort of set a date now. It's going to be in February which will give us more time to plan. Not quite sure what would happen on the ttc front. But I think the universe is telling me that it's going to be unlikely that I'll conceive naturally now. I have my progesterone blood test in 3 weeks then gynae/fertility appt in 4 weeks. They will probably send me away with lots of investigations and so will be a few months before any treatment starts. Will continue to try in the meantime of course but think it will be some time before we succeed.

bourbon have you called the agency? Good luck x

bourbondreams · 09/06/2015 09:12

morning ladies

So I decided to POAS today, as i thought why not - i have some internet cheapies... and its only 3 days til it says to test on my app... but it was a BFN so I think as I haven't felt any symptoms and it was a negative I am out this month. I didn't really get my ovulation twinges so I am unsure if I did even ovulate, as last month I know I did cos I get a crippling pain when it happens, this month, nothing... I might get some sticks to check. Also I think my body is still getting use to not being on the pill. My next AF will only be my 3rd since stopping the pill in Jan, so perhaps hormones are still not quite at the right levels? Does anyone know anything that I can take/do to help with this? I know I'm not technically out til AF but something just makes me think this isn't working this month...

Still no job news either....

gakay you are welcome - I always wanted a winter wedding at night in a castle with loads of candles when I was growing up that was what I wanted or to be somewhere hot! Over the years though, after meeting DH we had a change of ideas, and got married in Vegas :) it was brilliant.

soda that is so lovley, how romantic of him. And so nice that you could spend time with family to celebrate as well :)

Such exciting times for you ladies and weddings :)

Sodasoda · 08/06/2015 19:18

Thanks for congrats! It was lovely - we were staying with my parents for the weekend as a school friend was getting married. He asked my dad (secretly) on Saturday, and then the day after the wedding he took me for a walk on a beach which is really special to me (lots of childhood family memories etc), got all mushy and dropped to one knee with an amazing ring! Was lovely bring able to celebrate with my parents so soon as we don't live that close. So happy and excited! Think we're just going to do something small in next couple of months and then a big party for all our friends and family early next year. Hooray! Smile

gakay - so sorry witch has arrived. It really must feel everything is against you at the moment, especially as I know that dreaded due date is approaching. I hope you get the blood test results you want and that you can go from there. Personally I think a winter wedding will be lovely. The thing is with a summer wedding you're hoping so hard for nice weather and if you don't get it you're really gutted whereas with a winter weather you just don't havd that expectation / disappointment! Plus you have all those gorgeous fur accessory options and you can get really creative with favours / themes!

bourbon - hoping you hear about the job soon. Don't think there's any harm in giving the agency a ring tomorrow if you know they've finished interviewing. Keeping fx for BFP for you - I really wouldn't worry about no symptoms as yet.

elle - nice to hear from you again! Fx for this month.

This thread deserves some BFPs!!

Xx

gakay · 08/06/2015 13:55

The witch has arrived. In a way it's good to enter a new cycle and be hopeful again but am not feeling it...
I'm sooooo frustrated! Blood result is back but they somehow ordered the bloody wrong test! Will have to wait another month for another test. How stupid is that? I'm so angry but know it's not going to get me anywhere as even if it's someone else's fault, in the end I will still have to wait.
Feels like the fertility world is against me.

bourbon thank you for the positivity about winter wedding. Think we might try to somehow get it planned quickly as I can't see how I will get pg anytime soon and this could cheer me up.

I went to a bbq in the weekend too. So many little ones there - wish I could have one soon...

elle nice to see you hear again. It's good to not get too obsessed during the tww though I miserably fail at this every month... if you can hold out to when ovia is suggesting that would be best for you.

Fx for you both bourbon & elle

bourbondreams · 08/06/2015 11:06

elle no news from the job - I am wondering how long I can leave it before i contact the agency?

sounds like you had a very busy & productive weekend.

I am the same I dont know if anything has happened or not really this month. no symptoms really, and I am glad I have been so busy over the past week as it definitely helps to not think so much on everything. I feel a little sickly today - but not sure if thats from over-indulging over the weekend. I was fine when I woke up and all morning, but the past hour been feeling a bit queasy... maybe I need to eat something else!

ellewalk · 08/06/2015 10:27

Morning all, sorry not been around much have had a really busy week and weekend, nothing fun just work and building work at home! Oh did have a shopping day on Friday treated myself to a new handbag lol Grin

Welcome to all newcomers, fx for you all.

Bourbon any news on the job??
soda CONGRATULATIONS.....need more details though, how/where did he do it??
gakay has the witch shown up?? Have you had your blood results back?

So then according to Ovia I have 5 days till I should test, no symptoms at all....have really made an effort to put it out of my mind and not torture myself like I did last month. last month I had loads of symptoms and spotting which felt very different to me so I was convinced I was pregnant only for AF to arrive 5 days late. This month is nothing like last month so just have to wait and see. I could be either 8dpo or 9dpo......

bourbondreams · 08/06/2015 09:30

soda congratulations Flowers and yes - details :) how exciting!

gakay boooo :( have you had your blood results back this am? I think all my hormones are taking a bit of time to get back to normal post pill still. I have 4 days til POAS and I am just feeling normal, I don't have my usual AF symptoms yet, but I don't feel any different either, so no idea what will happen end of this week. I am thinking perhaps I will use one of my internet cheapies to see, but not holding my breath for anything this month.

Our weekend was really good, although I had a few drinks last night at a friends birthday BBQ and feel so tired from 3 nights of bad sleep now. Can't wait to get home and just relax tonight, think it will be bath and early night!

Oooh I love winter weddings! You could have one of those cosy shawls that they have or little jackets to go over you for photos, or a long cape. You would only be outside for a little while so wouldn't need to worry too much about the coldness.

gakay · 08/06/2015 07:36

soda congratulations!! Tell us more. How did he proposed? This is so exciting!

bourbon well done on the weight loss.

I'm still spotting but am sure AF is imminent as spotting is getting heavier. Have stopped poas since y'day. Will check if my blood test result is back. Am hoping I do have low progesterone then it can be corrected easily.

DP is now thinking perhaps we should have our wedding in this November to avoid big bump. I like the idea of getting married sooner but not sure about winter wedding. It would be so cold...

Sodasoda · 07/06/2015 20:02

Hi girls,

Hope you're all well and had nice weekends.

gakay - keeping fingers crossed for you. And bourbon - well done on weight loss.

I've had quite an eventful weekend - DP proposed to me today! Am thrilled! ??

bourbondreams · 06/06/2015 21:20

gakay yeah been trying to get down to a healthy weight, so been doing slimming world. I'm just off halfway to my ideal target for now. But taking it steady and just seeing how it goes. We shall see :) not doing it a stupid way so hopefully will be ok.

london I agree with gakay dtd every other at least or when you fancy it if think more

TT were AMAZING!!! Great night! Feeling so tired today though.... May have spent fortune in the new lush shop on Oxford St as well.... Oops! I saw early birthday pressie to me :)

gakay · 05/06/2015 19:31

bourbon is the weight loss intentional? Well, don't lose hope yet. Am sure they are not strong indications of bfn.
Hope you are enjoying your TT show.

london it depends on your cycle length. Would suggest you just DTD every other day from now.

londonrach · 05/06/2015 19:03

Sorry soda for af.

Question first day of last period 28 may 28 day cycle mn calendar not showing when do i need to dtd?

bourbondreams · 05/06/2015 10:11

I think I am on course for a BFN I am not getting any CM anymore, its all gone, and feel normal. Plus I have had a 3.5lb weightloss this week, which never happens! So I don't think I will get a BFP next week.

yeah it really is a bit confusing, I am not so worried about the after, but just more the I want to be able to live when on mat leave. I think its cos we are focusing on house and paying off our equity loan. So just wanted to know how much savings I would need to rebuild in the meantime.

I really hope I hear about job today! I know they only finished interviews today, but gah!!!! I want to know if I got to second round!!

gakay · 05/06/2015 08:14

Another bfn Sad apparently only 20% of pregnancies would have a negative results on 11 dpo. Last evening I had quite a few twinges in my pelvic area and was really hoping that it's imp pain...

bourbon all these MA and SMP sound so complicated. I've not actually thought abt finances after baby properly. Just hoping that everything will work out in the end.

Sounds like you are going to have a great wkn! Am working today through to tmw morning Sad then going to a friend's daughter's 1st bday party. That is going to be tough as will be surrounded by babies and pg women... will have to try my best not to get too envious.

I've been wondering how elle and bourbon have been doing too.

bourbondreams · 04/06/2015 18:55

elle and sarah how are you both?

bourbondreams · 04/06/2015 10:29

Ok - so MA you don't pay tax on, so its not all bad, but DH would need to not change jobs to get his stat Pat pay... otherwise I am not sure what he would be able to do, but that's only 2 weeks anyway, so probably not as essential, he could (if we budgeted well) take some unpaid time if needed...

Hopefully now I can focus.... at least this bit has made me think less about the fact I haven't heard anything yet about the job!!!

bourbondreams · 04/06/2015 09:26

gakay yeah you are right, I am trying to focus on other things today. I am making a list of things I need to think about/sort. I re-did the calulator and it would actually be MA not SMP that I would qualify for.... so thats not great. Adds another bit of confusion. We shall see. What happens happens, but if it doesn't happen and I get the new job, I might consider waiting a few months before trying again. I don't know. deal with it if it happens.

This weekend - I am off to see Take That tomorrow night, and then with the inlaws Saturday (again!) and then back home for a BBQ for friends birthdays on Sunday. So lots of nice things planned. :) in 3 weeks I will be away for my birthday :) yay!

gakay I am sending you lots of hugs must be so hard knowing that it is 2 weeks from that date. I can't imagine what you are feeling, but we are here for you

robrydonx welcome! Yes also new to this, only my second month ttc #1 as well so not much I can offer in advise or knowledge, we are just DTD when we feel like it and seeing what happens :)

gakay · 04/06/2015 08:47
Angry Just typed a really long post and the pc suddenly got rebooted

Another bfn this morning Sad think I'm joining you, soda, with all the lovely booze and cheese plus sushi and oysters
Am spotting for the 2nd day. I seem to be spotting earlier and earlier, and for longer and longer. Will wait and see what my bloods say. If progesterone is low then it can be corrected easily. But if not, I really don't know what to do... may try vit B complex next month...

bourbon glad you had the hen party planning to distract you. I don't know much abt smp. I think if the calculator thing you did said it's ok then you should be ok. Try to think abt sth else for now. E.g. what are your plans for the wkn? Weather where we are is going to be lovely. Hope it's the same for you too Smile

rbrydonx welcome
Not sure if I have any real tips or advice as I'm also ttc #1 and have been unsuccessful for 7 cycles following 2 early mc's.
What my friends have been telling me is simply to DTD every other day during fertile period. I also use OPKs.

My first tiny bean would be due in 2 weeks today... this makes me so sad...

Wonkyparsnip · 04/06/2015 05:42

I'm the same. Two or 3 times in the ttc nine months I've been late when normally I'm bang on. It raises my hopes so much.

rbrydonx · 03/06/2015 23:51

I've been TTC for 7months now and I'm 21 years old. so frustrating! my periods are irregulars and last month I was 6 days late, honestly was so disheartened when I got a negative test. Any tips or advice? trying to become pregnant sends you crazy!

bourbondreams · 03/06/2015 23:25

Ok I am freaking out a little about smp. If I did change jobs I would still qualify cos I've been working the qualified no of weeks overall right? I have seen so many old forum posts but none new and when I did the calculator thing about it I think it said it was ok but don't know if I answered it all right (it's so confusing!)
Such paranoia about it all! And worry - don't know why none are concrete at all yet!! Just worried cos we an to use all our savings now to clear out first buy loan off and then I worry if I don't qualify for smp I am stuck!! And I don't even know if I should worry yet!

soda I'm sorry AF has arrived. But it's good that you can enjoy the wedding and not worry about the champagne and can enjoy those lovely food treats! I think the cheese thing and sushi will be hardest for me!! Oh and Jack Daniels! Oh and wine if I am pregnant when we go to Italy!

Hi wonky
gakay glad wedding planning is giving a distraction! Planning the hen weekend for my friend I'm moh for has helped me today!
Sorry for rambles in soooo tired but can't switch off or think properly!!

Sodasoda · 03/06/2015 21:40

I'm having a glass of wine and had runny eggs for dinner followed by some Camembert cheese. There are some advantages to not being pregnant Smile

Welcome wonky - it's tough I know. Try to keep positive although I know that's easier to say.

gakay - Ive heard good things about pre-seed. And I'm a bit worried about my lack of CM so thought it couldn't do any harm to give it a shot! Apparently you can use it a little while before DTD so I don't need to ruin the actual moment!

gakay · 03/06/2015 20:37

soda sorry that the evil cow has arrived but am glad that you are feeling positive. It's good timing so you can have all the champaign and have fun this weekend.
I've not tried pre-seed. Let us know what you get on with it. Good luck with your new cycle!

bourbon looks like you are on a double waiting game - must be really hard.
I find OPKs quite helpful - at least I feel a little bit more in control by know roughly when I'm likely to ovulate but also need to remember that it does not guarantee successful conception - this is my 6th cycle on it...

Welcome wonky
DP and I are quite lazy and only DTD around ov time. This cycle we did it On CD10, 11, 12 and think I ov'd on cd12.
But just been told by a colleague what helped her conceive was by reducing TTC to every other day, even around ov.

I know what you mean by getting more and more upset with each cycle. This is why I'm planning a wedding b4 DP proposes to distract myself. Guess we'll just have to stay positive each new cycle.

Wonkyparsnip · 03/06/2015 20:04

Can I join in? Ttc baby no 2 for 9 months. How much do you dtd. This month we did it on days 7, 10, 11, 13,14,15,16. According to ovulation monitor I ovulated on day 14. I'm really struggling as I get more and more upset every month. I'm sure this month hasn't worked. Any words of encouragement gratefully received.
