TWW officially begins!!!!!

AF due 13th May and have no idea of how I'm going to wait that long!

This is our first cycle TTC baby #1 and since we have decided to try I have been very anxious. I just want this to happen, my close family have all had fertility issues and I've convinced myself I will too.

Just thought I'd start thus for support for all wanting some words if encouragement.

Sorry AF came gakay but glad you're feeling upbeat. And lovely to have DP home. Hope your last day of work goes ok today and then you can relax and enjoy your break!

We've just arrived at my parents after a long drive. We're here now until Boxing Day when we head to DH's family so really looking forward to a nice break.

Pretty sure I ovulated yesterday - got a temp rise this morning and my positive OPK on Thursday - so just waiting for FF to confirm. This is despite just having low readings on the CBFM! If I did ovulate yesterday then we DTD on all the right days and it didn't feel forced this month as I didn't tell DH where I was in my cycle which worked well for us. So you never know I guess, it would be lovely to have a nice NY surprise!

gakay · 17/12/2015 20:23

Hi soda. AF came yesterday and very heavy. I'm taking it as a good sign and was worried that my lining wasn't thick enough b4 but the latest mc seems to have changed it for the better apart from the last one - that may be cos of the biopsy...

Yes CBFM can be quite confusing. It takes some time to get to "know" you and sometimes you can miss your peak as it tends to happen in the afternoon and you test in the morning with CBFM. Good you are doing normal OPK as well.

My last day is on Saturday and its gonna be a horrible 24 hours work especially as we are 1 person down... anyway, I'll have my 2 weeks break to look forward to after that.

DP has just come home from being a week away - am so happy.

Sodasoda · 17/12/2015 16:43

How are you doing gakay? Did AF arrive?

I got a positive OPK day (CD14) but I got a low on my clearblue fertility monitor this morning! So no idea what's going on! Luckily we DTD last night and going to again tonight.

I've also booked in for blood test and an ultrasound in January - GP was good about referring me even though we having been TTC a year yet.

Glad wedding planning going well. I'm also slightly worrying about pigging out over Christmas- our wedding party is 6 weeks after and need to fit into my wedding dress again!

Last day of work tomorrow before Christmas break and I'm so looking forward to some time off. Are you having a nice break?

gakay · 12/12/2015 21:28

London I remember that feeling of keeping expecting to see blood when you go to the loo. Hopefully your symptoms will appear soon so you would feel more reassured.

soda good that you've got those tests booked in the new year. Yes, enjoy your xmas. Have all the cheeses and wine you like without a worry.

Wedding planning is going quite well. We have now decided on our menu and wine. Going to pick cheeses over Xmas, I guess. My dress has arrived!! Going for fitting in January so can't pig out too much during the festive season.

I'm now CD24 (my cycle is usually 26 days but this one seemed a bit strange). Was planning to wait till CD26 b4 I poas as we hardly DTD during the fertile period and definitely not on ov day. But failed to resist this morning. BFN. A bit disappointed but am also not sure I'm ready to get a BFP. I know I would get super anxious about losing it again that I won't be able to function...

Sodasoda · 09/12/2015 21:43

DH is booked in for a sperm check in January and I'm going to get basic bloods done then too. No harm in just checking to see if there are any major problems- earlier we find out then the earlier we can deal with them.

I'm glad there's a treatment they can do - it must be a relief for you.

And you never know about this month! I'm starting to look on the bright side about not being pregnant over Christmas though so if you're not this month you can enjoy the food and wine too!

How is the wedding planning coming along? We had a menu tasting at the weekend and everything went really well. Yum!

Thanks for the advice london. I have to admit that I very much doubt I'll be having sex during AF though!! Try to relax and enjoy being pregnant if you can! Have you been to see you doctor yet?

londonrach · 08/12/2015 13:39

Really sorry soda. Was so hopeful for you. Next month? Can i suggest something. Dh and i have been waiting till after af had finished before ttc. Last time we tried for day 2 of af. I keep expecting to see blood every time i go to the toilet still. I have no symptoms so this isnt real. Keeping fingers crossed for you gakay this month and also soda x

gakay · 07/12/2015 20:30

Oh, I'm sorry soda. Its so frustrating. Yes, I think there's no harm getting the ball rolling. Your GP might at least do some basic blood tests to begin which is always helpful.

I'm preparing myself for disappointment this cycle by completely failing to temp and telling myself it's not going to be the month.

NK cells are a type of immune cells which at a high level in the uterus can stop an embryo implanting properly leading to recurrent early miscarriages. Treatment is taking oral steroids and having blood thinning injection which helps blood flow to the placenta. I don't feel too bad about the treatment. I suppose I have always wondered whether there might be an underlying immune problem after the 1st 2 mc because of my medical history. So now its finally confirmed I can start getting treatment for it.

Hope you've had a lovely weekend. Mine was spent doing DIY projects for the wedding and playing boardgames with DP.

Sodasoda · 04/12/2015 13:12

Got up this morning to test and AF arrived. What a complete bitch Angry

Feeling pretty gutted to be honest. Going to start thinking about getting the ball rolling with some initial tests just to make sure there's nothing wrong with either of us.

Glad your results have come through. What does that mean? Is it quite easy to solve when you get bfp again? How do you feel about it? At least you know what the issue is and that hopefully something can be done about it.

Have a nice weekend xx

gakay · 03/12/2015 18:43

Just got my biopsy results back - the level of my uNK cells was 13.5 and the normal upper limit is 5. This may explain the cause of my recurrent miscarriage. I'll have a phone consultation witb the prof next week to discuss treatment plan. Although it would have been nice to have a normal body and be able to conceive normally, I do feel relieved that there may be a cause that can be treated.

soda I stopped testing after the 2nd +ve opk as I've been too tired to DTD and DP has been really stressed so dont think he would be interested either. So don't want to feel bad about missing opportunities. But was still having ewcm yday which is veey confusing and my temp chart this cycle is all over the place as well.

Could your previous dip be implantation dip? Fx for you that AF stays away

Sodasoda · 02/12/2015 22:15

Thanks a lot london - will keep you posted.

Just realised my post above made hardly any sense! Stupid phone posting! Basically my temp went up again this morning but not testing yet! Xx

londonrach · 02/12/2015 21:55

Soda my fingers are crossed af stays away x

Sodasoda · 02/12/2015 21:30

How many days have you had positive OPKs for gakay? I usually get 2 days in a row but no more than that. Are you back teeming again?

So my to went back up again today! Very unexpected. I felt quite crampy during the night and sure AF would arrive this morning but nothing about from creamy CM all day. Trying not to get my hopes up but it's hard. I'm 13dpo now but will oy test on Friday morning -AF would definitely be late then - so fed up of seeing BFN!

Hold on tight london! Hope you're feeling ok xx

gakay · 02/12/2015 18:17

Oh, soda I know how you feel. Have been TTC'ing since Sept 14. Like London said, just need to keep trying.

London try and avoid Dr Google. The more relaxed you are the better it would be for you, though it's easier said than done. Have you booked an appt to see your GP yet?

For some reason I'm ov'ing quite late this month after a really light AF. Had another +ve OPK yday but too tired to DTD. Just hoping that DP's swimmers can survive long enough.

londonrach · 01/12/2015 17:25

Soda keep trying xxxx

londonrach · 01/12/2015 17:24

Hi taff.

londonrach · 01/12/2015 17:24

Gakay im 40 and ive been googling. Ive tried to step away from the internet. So frightened still....

Sodasoda · 01/12/2015 11:44

Sounds like pretty good timing despite the frustration gakay - fingers crossed.

I'm feeling pretty down to be honest. Am 12dpo and my temp did a nose dive to just above cover line this morning so expecting AF to rock up tomorrow. When we first started TTC we joked that we might have a baby by Christmas but it just honestly never crossed my mind that I wouldn't even be pregnant by Christmas! Just feel a bit rubbish Sad

gakay · 01/12/2015 09:50

London how are you getting on? Where did you get this 34% stat from? That sounds far too high!

soda it was a slightly frustrated weekend as DP declined to DTD twice! Lucily I seem to be ov'ing a bit later than expected (had my +ve opk yday) and mananged to DTD on Sunday and last night so we should be OK.

I used to use the cbfm but the sticks are quite expensive ao have switched to intermet cheapies. I have enough sticks for 1-2 cycles for cbfm - may go back to it next cycle.

Have you tested yet? Fx for you! X

Hi taff welcome on board. Yes, it's been bit pf a rollercoaster here. Have you ov yet? We could be cycle buddy!

Sodasoda · 29/11/2015 19:40

Hi taff! Welcome!

We tend to be a quiet thread these days with gakay and I just chatting away to each other and london popping in now and again but it's nice to have a newbie!

Are you just using cheapie OPKs or posh digital ones? I got a clear blue advanced thing and used it for the first time this month which was quite exciting! I also started temping which I'm finding really interesting - good to know what my body is doing and for confirmation of when I ovulated.

How was your weekend gakay?

I'm 10dpo today. Holding off testing until AF hopefully doesn't show... I know I'm going to be gutted if it doesn't work this month.

Tafff · 28/11/2015 20:14

Hi all,

I hope you don't mind a newcomer to your thread. I'm new to the site and have been reading all of your posts from the beginning - what a rollercoaster! My DH and I have been TTC for 2 months, well this is the third. OPK's have been the bain of my life recently, but perversely addictive, am waiting this month for the OV days so we shall wait and see.

Taff x

londonrach · 28/11/2015 15:03

No symptoms so feels unreal. Still no af and got those two positive pregnancy tests.

Sodasoda · 28/11/2015 10:59

Do you have any symptoms london? Hope you're doing ok.

gakay I hope you're enjoying your official TTC weekend Smile Yes, I quite like temping. I do struggle a bit with taking it at same time every day - especially at the weekend - but it's nice to know when I've actually ovulated. I'm CD 28 today so if I wasn't temping I'd be madly POAS today but I know I didn't ovulate until CD19 so will have a longer cycle this month. It appeals to my obsessive nature!!

londonrach · 27/11/2015 12:51

Told dh. Very excited but keeps saying we shouldnt get excited. I have a 34% chance if miscarriage.....

londonrach · 27/11/2015 12:50

Gakay im keeping my fingers crossed for you this month. It would be amazing if a this sticks and b you and other waiting game ladies could join me. Feeling very fearful and tearful today as doesnt seem real. I keep excepting both tests to be wrong and af comes....

gakay · 26/11/2015 18:15

London congratulations!!!! Am so excited for you! Have you told your DH? What was his response like? Fx for you that it will be a sticky bean.

soda well, yes, officially starting TTC this cycle. I am CD8 at the moment. Don't think I'm in my fertile period yet but because we haven't DTD for sooooo long, am thinking about DTD tonight to flush out his old swimmers b4 we officially officially start this weekend.

How have you found temping? It is very reassuring to see the temp rise post-ov, isnt it? I stopped temping for the last few months and am now struggling to get back to it consistently. Telling myself this is a trial month and won't seriously (obsessively) TTC till next cycle.
