The Rules of Bumsnet

You can shag, you can syringe, you can temp, you can OPK; as long as your aim is a BFP!

We're cliquey so fuck off. LPB will be annihilated.

Make sure you're on the ###Bumsnet Bumstats###

Good on you pixa for doing something productive to distract yourself, I need to get better at that! I saw the pic and the furniture looks awesome! Would love to have something like that on our currently empty patio! Smile I'm okay thanks, only cd2 here so pretty boring! Haha

Thanks for updating me junebug x

Pixa · 28/04/2015 22:11

I love both Paris Grey and Pinterest. Pinterest takes up far too much of my time. Grin

Yokyil · 28/04/2015 22:08

Old white and Paris Grey cream and grey then still working my way through it on days off / when it isn't raining! So hopefully I'll be finished some time soon Smile
You find loads of things on Pinterest for diff DIY ideas - I love it! Pinning addit

Pixa · 28/04/2015 22:04

Ahh, good old chalk paints Yokyil. They're so easy to apply. Smile I know what you mean about the fiddly bits though. Thanks, I hope the pallet furniture comes out okay. Smile What colour did you go for?

Yokyil · 28/04/2015 21:59

Thanks Pixa - the pallet furniture looks so cool. Good luck, hope it's a good distraction Smile Threw myself into doing an Annie Sloan revamp of our £30 kitchen table - works wonders! But all the fiddly bits can drive you to distraction Confused
Anyone watch The Face?

juneybean · 28/04/2015 21:47

Thanks Woolly, so sweet of you. I think I am just trying to focus on something a bit different. 6DPO and I am already thinking "Surely, I can test on Friday?!" far far twerly so just trying to through myself into other projects. Currently, a pallet garden sofa.Hmm DH struggles with it too I think. Anyway, that was fairly woe is me! Sorry! How are you, Woolly ?

Woolly84 · 28/04/2015 21:25

Hope you're okay pixa don't work too hard!

spinningirl10 · 28/04/2015 21:25

Thanks Dizzy, I hope numbers have improved a little.

Rainy, I hope af stays away.

Purdie, sounds like your boss is very impressed with how you've been getting on. Well done for sticking up for yourself, not that I'd ever imagine that you wouldn't.

Juney, I hope you find someone you're happier with when you're ready to get back to it.

Heir, I always think the thighs are the tastiest part of the chicken but I only ever use them in casseroles.

Eskimo, sorry your doggy is poorly. Hope he's soon better.

I've just caught up on the last episode of Poldark Hmm I won't say anymore incase some of you haven't watched yet. Can't wait for the next series thoughSmile

HeirToTheIronThrone · 28/04/2015 21:04

Ha ha Purdie - I promise, no bit on the side here! The GP did say that it could have just been a bad sample which is why they have suggested a repeat. Still I hope it goes to show there is always hope!

DizzyMerry · 28/04/2015 21:03

Thanks for your input purdie you're a real star. Will start dtd earlier next cycle. I'm rather disappointed though as we've dtd 3 days in a row and yesterday I was exhausted and it all seemed forced. We didn't enjoy it much either.

Pixa · 28/04/2015 21:03

Okay all, this is going to be a catch up from Sunday so I do apologise if I am behind the times!

DizzyNorth I have never grown Serranos, I may have to give them a try. Our favourites are Trinidad Habaneros - deliciously fruit with a bit of heat! Loving your DTD updates, you look like you have done well this month! I saw the update about your friend who knows nothing about TTC - it's scary how little people know before they start trying!

Glittery If you see this I hope you are having a fabulous holiday!

Creme love your description of 'European Extravaganza'. Sorry for BFN.

Woolly Really sorry to heat about AF.

Rice that dream sounded truly awful - sending hugs your way. Sorry for AF. Flowers

Queen As soon as my seating area is finished, I would happily host a bumsnet BBQ. Although I think Mummy should make her coleslaw! Sorry for AF.

Night Really sorry go see what your research has brought up. Did you book an app with a specialist? Just seen that they won't see you until 12 months. It is so vexing!

Spinning I always feel better with a tan too although I usually burn Power cut is a great excuse to get DTD!

Pug I have been thinking of you.

Sammy I hope you had a lovely pub lunch with your DH. Pleased that you had a good appointment. Hoping AF isn't on her way.

Rainy sorry to hear you're having a rubbish time at the moment.

Sparkly I just don't get Trunchbull, it is almost as if she is three or four different people. Pleased to hear they have brought your scan forward.

Juney Sorry for AF.

Frog Howling at ass thermometer.

Purdie really sorry to hear you are not enjoying work at the minute. I have to echo the others and say part time may be a better option. Remember the end goal. Smile You have achieved so much and I have no doubt you will continue to achieve and reach your goal.

Nomio pleased to hear your bum was on a pillow!

Chops Agree with you about humans being rubbish at reproduction. I thought I was supposed to be at my fertility peak - never been on any hormonal contraceptives, relatively healthy and I still can't get knocked up. I also have eczema, weirdly enough, Fairy Liquid sets off an allergic reaction too - terrible.

Heir pleased to hear about your story. it's inspiring. Still worried about my DHs sperm

Yokyil Good luck for tomorrow.

Pikz Yay for not being infectious!

Sorry if I have missed anyone or if any of my messages are massive out of date. I have started yet another project so will be rather busy this week. I think I need to keep throwing myself into things to distract me from TTC. It's pretty all-consuming which is exhausting.

purdiepie · 28/04/2015 20:57

Dizzy I would suggest you're leaving sex until it's largely too late. You need sperm in situ at least for the two days preceding ov and kn the day itself. The day after is a good idea too as the egg can live 24 hrs. I reckon you'll be preggo as soon as you start timing sex right.

DizzyMerry · 28/04/2015 20:50

Ah right I'm with you now purdie! I only get a day of positive opk and it's been cd13 for the past 2 cycles. My progesterone level was only 17 though but I am obviously ovulating.
Have I dtd on the right days?

loopylou1984 · 28/04/2015 20:41

Just got back from my exercise class which has perked me up. Sil couldn't come as her toy is unwell (there's an upside to having no dcs I suppose), so I braced it alone! Feel much better for now, but fully expecting a temp drop tomorrow.

Now to catch up with you lot....

juneybean · 28/04/2015 20:40

eskimo my dog has a fake limp whenever she gets told off (which is often, shes mad as a box of frogs!) She hobbles about until she gets cuddles/biscuit then she's right as rain!!

DizzyMerry · 28/04/2015 20:31

Thanks purdie. I had a positive opk last month on cd13 but wasn't temping then. Dtd on cd13, 14 and 15.

purdiepie · 28/04/2015 20:27

DizzyM, FF have correctly pinpointed ov, in my opinion. Is this your first month charting? I would hate to ov on the same day as the positive opk. What fucking use is that?? Grr.

DizzyMerry · 28/04/2015 20:16

Here's a pic of my chart Purdie. I can't do links.

Will read back in a while.

Don't mess with the Bumsnetters they have Angry Pubes!
Woolly84 · 28/04/2015 20:16

Oh eskimo sorry you're having a tough time Flowers hope the vet has some good news too on Tuesday x

purdiepie · 28/04/2015 20:15

Th'eskimo*, it is horrid to see our pets limp. They look so pathetic, don't they? Do you have a hunch regarding next steps for treatment? This is costing you a fortune, I'll bet Sad Your parents are ace and I'm so glad you talked this week through with them. Did they give you real structured advice or just telephone cuddles and hair strokes? Both equally fabulous therapies Smile

Woolly84 · 28/04/2015 20:13

I'm terrible at saying what I need to say to work - I think up of all the things after that I should've said Confused
I know purdie it does just seem like so much work - when you had sex, how you had sex duh! yeah seen that...surely they know if your main aim to get preggers that it's gonna be unprotected!!! Wtf! Starting to think that my box may have got lost in the post HeeHee would that work in getting out of TTC admin work?

purdiepie · 28/04/2015 20:10

Me too, Rainy. The key is not to undermine the boss whilst making a stand. I also praised her training skills whilst being self-deprecating, forcing her to say positive things about me Grin
