Hi all, I am wondering if I can join? I have been lurking for a while. Me and DH have just got married and we are keen to start TTC as soon as. I have only just come off the pill so currently don't know my cycle or anything, I have a thermometer and ovulation sticks! Hoping trial and error works for a bit!!

Cervix feels a bit like the end of a penis!

mrsm your cervix is at the top of your vag. The walls of your vag will feel different to your cervix and have lots of lovely crevices where sperm and cm and things can fester.
At the top will be your cervix - it moves up and down and changes consistency from hardish to sponge like - depending on where you are in your cycle. So you may not always reach it.

I can, on approaching ovulation reach mine easily with a finger easily and wipe round the sides slightly to find my cm. then it goes hard and I know my dtd shag a thon is over.

I once accidentally stumbled across an online debate about whether IVF should be available on the nhs. The insensitive morons on there were mostly saying it shouldn't as it's not an illness.... They clearly don't know the emotional toll long term ttc takes on a person! Xx

boris! that really made me laugh 'hope non of my colleagues are on here' ...(((((TMI ALERT!)))))this sounds stupid but i never put my finger (only other things) 'up' there cz there's sumert about it i hate where is the actually cervix situated? luckly my cm is always visable in other places haha. .. i feel like you ladies are fully qualified gynaecologists with some of the stuff i learn on here

flat! you've got just as much chance as everyone else hunni don't beat yourself up about it (know how you feel though) its like your super happy for them but you want it do bad you feel bad about yourself! my friend at work is due twins soon aswell... your time will come (not matter how stressful the journey is) goodluck x

Banana - that's annoying. Can you still work out if/when there is a temperature rise or is it really all over the place? Try not to stress and just DTD as much as you can (I say that knowing full well I would completely ignore that advice and stress away!!!).

So in the last week no fewer than THREE of my friends have had a baby and also one of my colleagues (well his wife). On top of that another friend, who has two children already, has announced she's expecting twins. I'm happy for all of them, but why do I feel like every time someone has another baby, my chances of having one are reduced?!

Well after my rocky mountain range of a chart last month (when I was temping orally) which would have made me panic if it wasn't for the fact that the CD21 bloods say I probably OVd. This month I have been temping vaginally, thinking I would have a lovely neat chart to show y'all...

However, my brain has conspired against me! Because I have been a bit nervous about it (I think), I have been waking up anytime between 4am and when my alarm goes off at 7am!! As a result I can't seem to take my temperature at the same time twice, which means my chart looks like a bloody mountain range again!! ARGH!! stupid brain.

I think I am just going to have to stop temping and just try to DTD as much as possible around the time I'm most likely to be OVing. Which is a shame... because I really like graphs!

Please excuse my typos. Dyslexic and only MN on phone.

Don't know yet Merry hopefully for beginning of next cycle next week :)
