Eek almost time for a May bus!

DizzyMerry · 29/04/2015 00:50

Oh Coffee I've only just seen the crosshairs now, duh! I'm so pleasd I've ovulated as didn't think I would after getting my progesterone results so all seems good at this point. I think you're right about temping becoming stressful. It's so easy to get caught up with trying to do everything 'right' when really it's causing unnecessary stress. I think your advice about temping makes sense.

coffeenut · 29/04/2015 00:38

dizzym I didnt realise that FF had already put in crosshair!! Yay!!! And already 3dpo! I dont know re temping - I think if you get stressed about it having to be right on time and having enough sleep, it will turn more into a stress than a help iykwim?

All okay so far thanks dizzy and woolly - bfp has defo not sunk in yet tho Smile

Can't wait to see a few more bfps soonxx

parsnipbob · 28/04/2015 23:40

Oh sorry woolly, not dizzy!! Dopey me!

parsnipbob · 28/04/2015 23:39

Dizzy definitely don't worry about varying wake up times when temping, my cats wake me up at random times throughout the night and I still get a fairly obvious o pattern. What's more is that with vaginal temping I find that the temps are pretty samey depending when I wake up. For instance, when I wake up at 4, they're always around 36.2 and when I wake up at 6 they're always around 36.4.

DizzyMerry · 28/04/2015 23:29

Night woolly sleep well.

How are you doing coffee? Has the bfp sunk in yet?

DizzyMerry · 28/04/2015 23:27

Here's a pic of my chart coffee. Can't do links. It is reassuring that temps don't need to be strictly accurate, contrary to what I've read. Bizarrely I've slept better since charting Hmm

Woolly84 · 28/04/2015 23:15

Thanks coffee that's really reassuring! Smile hope you're feeling well! X

Woolly84 · 28/04/2015 23:10

Thanks dizzym I'll take it as soon as I'm awake, will look into this book too - thanks!Smile

Right bedtime for me, night night ladies! Xx

coffeenut · 28/04/2015 23:08

don't stress about really accurate temping wool and others. My chart was okayish (FF picked up ov) and I temped anytime between 6 - 8 (aimed for 7am but didnt always work) and I'd say I got a full three hours sleep before temping, urm ... never. Everyone's different but just record what you can! So exciting when you pinpoint ov isn't it dizzym!! maybe FF is just waiting for more info to put your ov crosshair in? Can you post your chart?

boris smelling your fingers at work?! Shock Grin Hahahahaha.

parsnip what an arse?!!!! hope you are doing well lovely x

DizzyMerry · 28/04/2015 22:57

Missmartin I had day 21 bloods done to get my progesterone levels checked.

Woolly I'm sure you'll work it all out. You need 3 solid hours sleep to get an accurate temp. I do recommend the book taking charge of your fertility and there's also loads of info online. It does come together once you get into the habit of doing it.

Woolly84 · 28/04/2015 22:34

Hope* not hold!

Woolly84 · 28/04/2015 22:33

dizzym thank you! I'm so glad it's working well for you! I just hope I get some sort of insight from it, bit concerned as I can be a light sleeper but let's see how it goes. You're allowed to be excited, this is very good for you!! Smile

missmartin yup gonna start tomorrow, will be cd3 so not gonna see much for a week or so but its just to start getting into the habit really! Hold your thermometer arrives tomorrow so you can start too! Smile

amy hope you get a smiley soon! Is it your first month using OPKs?

AmyFlame1986 · 28/04/2015 21:55

Thanks everyone! It's lovely being a newlywed but now the wedding is over is just babies, babies, babies. I'm learning so much on here though, it's been amazing so thanks guys! I am hoping that I ovulate in the next few days hopefully I get a smily face soon!

MiissMartiin · 28/04/2015 21:50

((((oh btw...ive slightly changed my name from missmartin1992))))))

MiissMartiin · 28/04/2015 21:50

dizzy.. how do you check your progesterone levels?
im looking forward to start temping! ill do everything possible to feel like im doing the most i can.. woo being proactive!!!
you starting tmmra woolly? what cd are you on atm?

DizzyMerry · 28/04/2015 21:41

It breaks my heart to hear stories like that missmartin there's no fairness in ttc.

Woolly I have managed to take my temp consistently. I was initially falling asleep with the thermometer in my mouth but the beep would wake me up so I'd just do it again I case it was wrong. At first it seems a bit pointless but the real satisfaction comes at ovulation time as the chart then starts to come together. It's amazing what temping can tell you. My progesterone level was only 17 but I am ovulating so that's a good thing. Sorry, I'm getting carried away now with excitement!!!

nightandthelight · 28/04/2015 21:39

Welcome Amy and congrats on your recent wedding :)

Woolly84 · 28/04/2015 21:32

Good work jemima, cover all bases!

dizzym I'm so glad things are clearer now, fx it happens this month but you're armed with more knowledge now and knowledge is power! Haha I'm excited to start temping tomorrow, do you manage to take your temp at consistent times each day?

missmartin that johnsons advert totally gets to me too - talk about aching ovaries!! Haha
agree it's so very frustrating coming across stories like that Sad

MissMartin1992 · 28/04/2015 21:22

parsnip your colleague is a dick head! ive obly been trying for 3 cycles and i feel bloody desperate.. there's a johnsons baby advert with the baby having her hair washed.. so cute! I need a baby... it infuriates me.. my dps sister is a rotten mum.. 4 kids and doesnt even look after/live 2 of them they live with the grandparents because she couldnt be arsed with them and she gets pregnant at the drop of a hat and she dosent even care for her kids ... grrrr makes me sooo mad.. especially when theres people out there who cant have a baby! Angry

MissMartin1992 · 28/04/2015 21:14

oohrighty thenGrin V.interesting indeedy .. welcome amy Grin Grin Grin

DizzyMerry · 28/04/2015 21:05

Oh and I ovulate the day I get a positive opk. Only found this out by charting so we've timed it all wrong and dtd later rather than before ovulation.

DizzyMerry · 28/04/2015 20:58

Welcome amy. Congratulations on your wedding. Yay for temping and opks. I find it all very useful and it's helped me greatly in understanding my body and cycle.

Parsnip what an utter arse your colleague is. Ugh!!!

It's been confirmed by Dr Purdie that I ovulated on cd13. Cd16 now and still have ewcm but no more energy to dtd as we've dtd for the past 3 days!

JemimaPuddleDuck2 · 28/04/2015 20:43

I'm good thanks Woolly, if we go on the fact my micro-period was an actual period I'm CD15 so putting DH through his paces just in case Wink

Just about to read back the whole of the day's posts but hope everyone is ok Smile

Woolly84 · 28/04/2015 20:02

parsnip that person sounds like an ignorant twat! Angry

missmartin I've never cervix-poked either, but very interesting lesson from boris there!

amy welcome! Smile Congrats on your wedding and I hope your journey here is short!

jemima how are you?
