Do you like feeling left out of a group? Do you enjoy being marginalised and isolated and picked-on? How about a good bullying? If so..you're in t'wrong place, cock, coz this 'ere is the TTC thread where you feel loved, embraced, encouraged, wanted, lusted after, admired, respected, thought-of with fondness, missed when you're away. We will even put up with your lazy, selfish bastard of a husband who would rather watch Chelsea romp through the Premiership than put a baby in your tum-tum.

Absolutely any old slag welcome, unless you already have a baby in your tum-tum and we're about as familiar with you as a condom. You can get lost Smile

Mummy I think it was Glittery and it disappeared?

Sparkly123 · 17/04/2015 13:33

Melon cold feet!!! Vintage classic!

Mummyofonesofar · 17/04/2015 13:32

Who had the lump on their cervix a few weeks ago? Was it looked at or did they decide not to go to the Drs? On checking my cervix I now have a second lump, smaller than the first.

Sparkly123 · 17/04/2015 13:31

mummy glad you are a bit better. It's slow and brown at times but then also gushy and dark red bright red at others! But it's been red and gushy since Monday and my lining is still there which is reassuring ish right?!

MelonMelon · 17/04/2015 13:31

butters we're currently watching cold feet though the ttc story line had has me and DH in tears! "Rachel' aborted 'Adam's' baby because she wasn't sure if it was his, now she's got some sort of scarring from the D&C and has been told she'll never Get pregnant! Jolly stuff Hmm

Sparkly123 · 17/04/2015 13:30

butterypants hope you are feeling a Bit more upbeat now? Almost dtd time mrs! Woo. I'm ok thanks for asking. I heart Greys! Love it! Who was it trying to get preggers? I forget. I'm on series 11 so up to date! I don't think I've ever seen any other shows showing people TTC excluding that film which was pretty awful.. What was it called? Maybe what to expect when your expecting? I'm not sure if it was. It followed the experience of TTC in four or five couples?

Sparkly123 · 17/04/2015 13:26

Babs it's a Positive! Wooo! Great lovely! How's dh taking the news?

Mummyofonesofar · 17/04/2015 13:24

Rice £60 ! I think I would have refused and said I didn’t agree to £100s on decorations and a cake therefore shouldn’t pay – I would be that arsehole!

Sparkly I thought of you this morning and hunted for ginger in my fridge but I have ran out. I am feeling a little better this afternoon, curry last night and leftovers for lunch must have blown some of it away. Glad the bleeding is slow and brown and not gushy and red, are you in any pain with it?

Melon We had a fire alarm a couple weeks ago – no engine turned up – was very disappointed! Love a hunky man with a hose but am always let down when I look inside a fire engine and see ugly non muscly men.

I am so bored - can't wait to get away at 4 and enjoy the weekend. I plan on drinking tomorrow night as we are having friends round for a BBQ at 6dpo - not silly amounts but I have seen lots of people in the drink til its pink gang and I think I might join.

Butterchunks · 17/04/2015 13:24

oh, and babs congratulations to you too!

Butterchunks · 17/04/2015 13:23

Afternoon all. I'm loving the sharing of crafty pics( Glitter, froggyb, ibeka), keep em coming ladies. Also love the idea of a Bumsnet choir and anthem (something we can sing at the start of all our gin soaked baby showers, like the WI and Jerusalem). I've not been around for the last few days (feeling a bit fed up and not sleeping well) but have tried to catch up; I hope everyone is alright (and if not then come have some Cake, I've packed extra.)

Purdey Congrats on the job!
Sparkly How are you today?

Every single thing I'm watching at the moment has got women left right and centre getting broody, knocked up, or having babies. Even bloody Third Rock from the Sun.

In Greys Anatomy at the mo (along with about 27 other shows I've got on the go right no), refreshingly it's got the main character struggling to get pregnant, even mentioning temping and trying next month, then on fertility meds but still struggling. Its nice to see a different take on the usual telly instadiffin'. The only other show I can recall having an average take on TTC is ER, where Carol Hathaway took a while to get knocked up- worried about it taking longer than expected, tried to take her own blood samples for testing etc (in the end Clooney's mega spunk filled her with twins).

Other shows I can think of with TTC story lines are sex and the city (Charlotte MC, and Miranda with 1 ovary), and some good OpK action in The L Word (and some lezzie mums in Greys too).

Any other suggestions for fictional TTC, good or bad, from t'telly? What box sets should we have in our Bumsnet mansion?

babsbunny · 17/04/2015 13:22

How are you doing Mrs sparkles?

babsbunny · 17/04/2015 13:22

Hi sparkly. Ok ta. Not really into work today. But poas again and it was like this today, so I'm more relaxed.

Bumsnet: we're raising our bums after TTC and waiting for our Angry Pubes.
Sparkly123 · 17/04/2015 13:09

Nomio just trying to keep myself together really and keep challenging my worries! worrying is not gonna change the outcome for me, only time will tell! How about you? Still feeling positive I hope!

Sparkly123 · 17/04/2015 13:06

babs how are you?!

Nomio230 · 17/04/2015 13:06

I love your rainbow blanket, Ibeka, it is so cheerful.

Melon, sorry to hear you are in pain, but at least AF is finally here. On to the next cycle, yay!

Good luck with your move, Night. Hope you don't feel too ill.

Go Purdie! You will be running the place within a week! I am so excited for you. How do you feel about starting work?

Oyster, your post made me laugh. I have a mental image of a big burly man in the shower surrounded by pregnancy tests!

Glittery, you are wasted in whatever job you currently have. You need to become a songwriter immediately!

How are you feeling today, Sparkly mamma? Good I hope. I love your idea of a Bumsnet baby shower. I will bring the Twirls. (And eat them, too Grin)

I quite like baby showers when they are just a celebratory meal with friends and family, but hate the idea of the big American ‘give me gifts now’ kind of thing.

babsbunny · 17/04/2015 13:05

YEY purdie well done Mrs! Star

Sparkly123 · 17/04/2015 13:01

Melon I thought it was a stereotype too. Ha.. At least a little bit action in your otherwise rubbish AF day!

Sparkly123 · 17/04/2015 13:00

Yes Rainy good plan of action!! Bumsnet AN is where it's at for everyone!!

Rainy34 · 17/04/2015 12:58

Happy six months sparkly, in the nicest possible way let's hope we all graduate from the bumsnet and on to the an bumsnet instead and get off at the next stop!! X x

MelonMelon · 17/04/2015 12:55

Just had some excitement at work on the forms of a fire alarm (yes I AM that bored today) we had 2 engines turn up with some hunky firemen! I thought that was just a stereotype Blush

Sparkly123 · 17/04/2015 12:54

I just realised I have been on the Bumsnet six months now. Happy six month-iversary to those I have met here from the start! Flowers

Sparkly123 · 17/04/2015 12:49

Yes Purdie what are your hours?! How will we manage without you?! jealous we need to know everything! Ha ha

Spinners Urgh rain! Not ideal! Well yesterday everything seemed to have tailed off then I had more bleeding again later in evening. When I rest it seems to slow and it's when I'm up and about it comes back. I think I could much better keep strong if I wasn't seeing the blood all the time! Again none overnight. Today a bit of brown spotting so far like yesterday afternoon

Sparkly123 · 17/04/2015 12:43

Dizzymerry yes I agree on that. I think the sentiment of getting together with your girlfriends before the baby is born just to catch up together and Enjoy a nice night or afternoon is understandable, I'm sure you don't get to do that too much once they baby arrives. But the whole actual baby "shower" I mean, basically.. Come along, make a fuss of me and bring me a gift? I can't get my head round that. It's just another fad started in America ain't it. However we could all rebel and have a Bumsnet pre baby meet somewhere in the UK and basically just get some twirls, quinoa, gin and nuts in! Ha ha Grin

spinningirl10 · 17/04/2015 12:42

Sparkly, it's just started raining!

Oyster, what are you up to for your hen night? Had Dp gone away for the weekend?

spinningirl10 · 17/04/2015 12:40

Purdie, yay for the job, when do you start? We'll miss you here, what are your hours?

Night, bet you're busy cleaning your new house now. Have you got much work to do there?

Frog, was it you who said last night that you'd made a batch of smoothies? How do you find they keep? I always make them and drink straight away.

Sparkly, how are you feeling today? Has the bleeding eased?
