AF Overdue & BFN... Anyone else?

Anyone else overdue for AF and getting BFN's?! Misery/Insanity needs company and all that...

Came off the pill in December as we decided to ttc #1. Had a 34 day cycle the first month, and then settled back to the 28-30 day cycle I have always had since I was eleven, and previously during breaks in the pill over the years went straight back to that pattern. Last few months, I ovulated on CD17/18 so late, but fine.

Anyway, rolling on to this cycle. I thought I wasn't going to ovulate - it finally happened on CD24 (EWCM & positive OPK). I figured it wouldn't come to anything as it was so late and my luteal phase was so short, am pretty sure we didn't even dtd that day quite honestly, though did a few days before (I think!).

Around CD26 I got cramps, which kept going for about a week, and got really sensitive nipples which I usually get beforehand, so figured AF was on her way.

Anyway, long story short, I'm now at CD35. Still mild cramps, but just a bit twingey, and nipples have calmed down massively. And most importantly BFN, have tested the last two mornings in a row and nothing. Am 11dpo - so think it would probably be showing if I was.

Anyone else in the same boat? I don't feel like I'm pregnant this month, but I keep thinking 'what if' and would just like to know either way for sure now!! (I am half hoping to invoke the law of sod with this post - am pretty certain AF will end up starting after all this!)

Mind if I join? I was posting in a similar thread... I am TTC number 2. I got pregnant first time trying (I might add after 10 years on the pill!!) with DS. I have been TTC on and off since he was born but didn't get periods until 10 months after he was born (probably as I was breastfeeding). Anyway, this time around it is not as easy!

My recent cycles have gone 33-35-38 days then last was 47 days and this one I am on day 49! I have spent a small fortune on pregnancy tests. Having a test free day today. I had a false positive earlier this month (around day 32). It was so strange - I got a good line on a superdrug test and then a few minutes later I also got a positive - a bit lighter though. All other tests have been negative since though. A few people have said it might have been a chemical pregnancy, however, I think it was more a false result as if I were having a chemical pregnancy I assume I would have had a bleed by now?!

Anyway, I really do not think I am pregnant - I had very tingly nipples with my first and I do not have those now but no sign of AF. I have made an appointment with a female GP (the male one I usually see is a bit rubbish!) but that is not till 5th May. I am going to ask for tests. I really wanted to be pregnant by now. I am only 30 so I know I am very fortunate with my age but just want number 2 already!!

In terms of my first pregnancy - I do not know how long my cycles were as like I said I got pregnant first month after coming off the pill but I know that around CD32 (from last period) - after I expected my period that is - I tested negative. I still had symptons and about 5 days later with the same brand of tests I got my BFP.

Any similar stories?

Hi Katherine. What did the doctors say? I'm trying to hold off the doctors but I think I will if no AF this time next week and still getting bfn.

I wonder maybe if sometimes we just skip a period?

Seems like we all are the same then, hopefully we all get BFP's soon!
I just rang my doctors and I'm getting a call back, I tested negative this morning so I really have no idea what's going on! Hopefully they can explain or offer me a blood test!

AF still MIA here. Trying to not test again until fri morn. Having no tests in the house is helping with that Smile. Busy day at work today so hopefully no will have no time to obsess today.

Evening all sorry not to name check but wanted to report still no AF but lots of EWCM..... Am tomorrow 15/16 dpo if I did indeed ovulate so no idea what is happening. Will be checking in and keeping fingers crossed either way for results xx

Hi all, mind if I join?
I'm in the same boat as you all! Been ttc for 2 years now, feels like longer though. I'm a week late (always regular), have slightly sore boobs but don't feel like the AF type but I could just be hoping. Woke up this morning to one very small brown blood spot, nothing since, no tummy pains. Had BFN so far, no idea what's going on. Trying to stay positive yet not get my hopes up at the same time, going to test again in the morning.
How's everyone else doing? Smile

Thank you we had a lovely day. I'm really regretting not picking up a test now to do in the morning lol but I have some more coming from the Internet, however not really sure I trust them anymore!

This has never happened to me before its very bizarre!

Still no sign of AF either and no bf here tonight to try and get it started Wink

AF still missing in action over here... Hope Brighton was a good distraction Panda. Coq, I also tried DTD in an attempt to kick start things - I guess there are worse ideas!

On CD37 and 13dpo now... and of course BFN this morning. I also (and TMI, sorry) now have pink tinged mucus, but only when I check my cervix - so think I might be coming on. Was thinking earlier how six months ago I never would have considered prodding my cervix a normal part of a day - oh how times have changed!!!

I did realise the only time I've ever had such a long cycle was just after I came off the pill, and AF ended up being exactly 14 days after I ovulated. Am wondering if by that logic I'll come on tomorrow... We shall see!

Good luck with the distraction bigpanda and enjoy Brighton. Thanks mrsbigley it's so frustrating. I tried for a year to conceive my DD and got a BFP at 12 dpo. It's been over a year this time and it feels like it might never happen. I cracked an bought a two pack from morrisons which says it picks up 15hcg so should show early and that is also BFN so thinking this month nth isn't to be either Angry

Hi coq- welcome! If it helps I've just been reminded bu my DP that something similar happened with my DD. I got a BFN, got uncharacteristically drunk at my dad's 60th only to find a few days later I was PGI Shock. i don't remember now how long before the BFP. I'm trying to stay busy today and tomorrow. Difficult not to obsess though. Good luck to everyone. Hope we all get the result we want... and soon

Hi ladies can I join you? Am 14/15 dpo according to opk and no sign of AF (usually get spotting or a day or two as well) boots own brand his morning was BFN and I was so disappointed . Have even tried DTD today to see if that would get things going (sorry tmi) so frustrating am trying to keep busy and not go to the supermarket to buy armfuls of tests - having googled all the false negative sites I can find..... I ami g insane ad I swore I wouldn't become POAS obsessed after DD1. How's everyone else getting on?

I'm going to go to superdrug later today as I've been informed the internet cheapies aren't as good. A lot of people get false results or are pregnant but get bfn!

Any excuse though lol

I was nearly a week past AF due date before I got my BFP - had three clear blue negatives in that week (99% accurate from first day of missed period my arse) !! Now 31+6! Good lucky

Yes! Glad I found this thread. 4 days overdue and BFN this morning. Have all signs of being pregnant (maybe I'm imagining it?) sore boobs, weeing in night etc etc. This is my 3rd BFN this week. Frustrated! How is everyone else doing?

Yes normally 28 days I'm not actively ttc but I did notice ovulation on 26/3/15. Lmp was 7/3/15 so was expecting AF on the 4th

I asked a question on here earlier asking if AF always arrives 14 days after ovulation?

I'm very Confused I've got one more test but just ordered more (terrible I know!) im really trying not to test until the weekend as I only got a negative yesterday although it was at about 10pm!

Glad it's not just me... now 8 days late and 12dpo at CD36. Are you normally fairly regular Panda? I am so am finding the whole thing so odd, would just quite like to get AF over with now to move onto the next cycle!
