Bears- that is really exciting about the house. It sounded lovely.

Nice for you and Tori to have a bit of help from MIL's this weekend. We all need little breaks and support. Even half an hour extra in bed feels like a treat.

We are going to walk along to the Saturday market in a local village station-it is about 4 miles along the sea front. Lots of nice junk. books, food, plants etc and some restaurants where we can have lunch. We can walk back as well if we have got the energy, or get the train if not.

DS is ready for the off and excited because he has his coat on!

Have a nice day everyone.

Cupcake92 · 06/06/2015 08:58

Wow congrats Bears!!! :) that's great news! Enjoy ur holiday! :)

Ducky .... Wow.... That alarm is so cool! I want one! Shock

I'm away with my mom and family now! Got here last night about 7pm and the journey was hard! Took 3 and a half hours in total as was loads of traffic. DS was amazingly good! But I was in pain so much with my back and pelvis.
Going to Whitby today and having fish and chips by the sea for lunch :) can't wait! DS is having so much fun so far he absolutely loves it! He's gone to the shop with his nana to get his milk and his toast haha :)

Hope everyone is okay!

I'll bet Tori! MIL is here with us, it's her chance to get lots of cuddles with DS and play with DD and I get a lie in!

Hello everyone, just catching up on the thread! I can't believe how long some of these babies are feeding, it must be exhausting! DS is surprisingly good in that respect, he goes to sleep when DD does about 8, wakes about 1 for a feed and then again about 6. Then DD gets up about half six.

We have exciting news - the offer we made on a house has been accepted! We are now trying to figure out what else we need to do now to buy it (first time buyers!). It is very exciting and scary at the same time! We are also now on holiday for2 weeks in Scotland so trying to do it all remotely Confused

LuluJakey1 · 05/06/2015 23:17

Sleeps through until half 7 -8am- most of the time.

That's a sophisticated alarm Ducky. I would be terrified of it.

DH is in the house now and has gone to bed. I am watching Graham Norton and eating chocolate!

Ducky23 · 05/06/2015 22:44

What time does he wake lulu? And (haha) I have a pic of your DH in my head strolling round the garden in his pants with his hand on his hip! you are quite right to be scared of zombies

We gave an alarm, we learnt the hard way Hmm two weeks after moving in we were broken into, we weren't unpacked properly so they just took loads of boxs of stuff and put cigarettes out on the dogs Sad my dog (who recently passed) got one a corker through! He must have bit them on the way out and there was big blobs of blood trailing out the house. Police told me that if they went to hosp because of that they would have my dog pts AngryAngryAngryHmm I went mad at them!

It is a fancy alarm though, there are sensors on all the doors, it tells you which doors are open where and if anyone comes in when the alarm is set it goes off. It even has a special dog sensor Grin if it goes off it rings me, h, dm and a friend in the area and speakers go on in the house so we can listen/speak to the burgers Grin

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 05/06/2015 22:18

But I am more scared of zombies in the garden than burglars. Grin

LuluJakey1 · 05/06/2015 22:17

Ducky, he is usually awake until 9-9.30pm- shouting and playing. Then he has his last feed - biggest bottle- and sleeps in his cot in his own room. Door is shut and black- out blind.Baby monitor on.

DH and I have been out tonight. We went for an early dinner and a couple of drinks. Friend baby sat. DS was fast asleep when we got back about 9.30pm.
It is so hot here tonight! DH is wandering round in his pants in the garden with a mug of tea. Grin

Hope the party goes well Ducky. That is such a nice thing for you to have done.

We don't have an alarm Cupcake. About 3 times a year we realise we have gone to bed the previous night and left the garden door unlocked, or even worse, wide open. Have done it several times and gone to work.

Oh my god, can't believe this party is tomorrow! I'm really nervous! I think she might think something is going on but nothing like what's planned.

I'm quite annoyed though as DM's husbands family don't like dm and dm doesn't like them, so her husband has invited them all Hmm and he has told her that his mom and dad are taking her out for her birthday so that was what made her think something was going on as they would NEVER do anything like that.

Going to finalise everything later and sort out finishing touches (decorations etc) Grin

OP posts:
Ducky23 · 05/06/2015 07:49

Did you sort it cupcake?

I don't know if it's just a one off or one of the many things I did last night worked, but ds slept til 7!!! Shock He had a bottle around 8, then slept eventually until 4.30, I gave him a bottle and he slept until 7! Wooo

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 05/06/2015 07:23

Was s nightmare Lill Grin thankfully the house alarm never went off!
I need to find the code anyway as got to set it for this weekend when we are away! :O
And yayy! Lol Grin

DS is still asleep!! I have to get up to et ready as got to do the school run today! Then off to town before going away for some linen trousers and a new bra! Lol!!

Lillamyy1 · 05/06/2015 07:08

Oh no cupcake! I hope the power came back on and the alarm didn't go off!
I'm up for meeting up, Tori and Cupcake Grin

Cupcake92 · 05/06/2015 02:16

There's been a huge power cut here nothing is working!! :( :( and I'm terrified my house alarm will go off once the power returns!! No idea what the code is!
Also DS 's alarm isn't working obviously cuz the powers not working.
I'm sat up in bed panicking now not knowing what to do! Confused
Can't hear DS if he cried and also he's gonna be scared stiff if the alarm goes off and this will ruin his sleep for a long time as he's gonna be too scared to go to bed! Argghhh :( all I wanted was a day of peace and yet the stress doesn't end!

Ducky23 · 04/06/2015 22:30

Lulu not particularly! Some days there can be quite a bit of lifting and things, other days he's driving, some days he moans that they just stand around with nothing to do! I would love ds to sleep like that! Does your ds usually sleep before 9 or is that his bedtime? I was wondering whether to move bedtime back for ds. He was lying awake squealing and grabbing his toes until half 9 tonight. He's still in our room but this weekend I will set up the monitor and from next week put him in his bed in the evenings. I don't think I will move him just yet as I get up so much in the night it's just further for me to drag myself!

Tori hope he doesn't wake ollie up! Otherwise a punch to the head is definately in order! Grin

Ducky, DS has his last bottle at 9 now and will often sleep through until half7 or 8. Not always but I would say 5 times a week. It's lovely. DH wakes about 6 and we have a cuddle and snooze on a bit, hegets up about half past, showers, makes me a cup of tea. When he goes to work I sometimes get another hour to myself to get ready or whatever- sometimes I stay in bed.

What does your DH do Ducky? Is it a tiring job?

Tori, you must have been really organised today to get all that done! I would never have achieved that a couple of weeks after DS was born. I was chaotic.

Cupcake, be careful and make sure you get enough rest.

Ducky23 · 04/06/2015 20:15

Sounds like you had a productive day tori! Grin

Cupcake his 10/10.30 bottle was a dream feed but it didn't seem to make much difference.

His usual routine was bottle around 6ish, sleep around 7/7.30 then dream feed at 10/10.30, then sleep until 4/5ish. I'm hoping that if I miss the 10 bottle he will wake up around 1/2 hungry then will have a big bottle and a longer sleep. If I can get him to 6.30 id be really happy Grin

Weather had been lovely here too Lulu! :)

Oo Ducky have u heard of dream feeding?
Where u give baby a bottle when they are asleep to make them full and sleep longer? That could be worth a try?
And I'd be very annoyed with ur DH! Angry Did he not want to cook for u as well? Seen as u are busy with ds all day and are probably exhausted urself!

Ducky23 · 04/06/2015 19:26

Sounds like you have both had a good day Smile the weather has been lovely! Grin

I'm pissed off, I got out of bed around 5/5.30 with ds after he was awake from 4, h slept until 9 (9!!!!Shock)
Got up and started complaining he's tierd, he finishes work at 6, I was out. Come home and there's no sign of him. He's in bed sleeping Hmm he's come in, had his dinner, left his plates and cup on the side in the lounge, left his shoes in the middle of the floor and his uniform on the sofa and gone to bed. Hmm wound me up as we were getting on so well recently.

Tonight I'm going to try skipping ds 10.30 bottle in the hope he has a long sleep, wakes up for a bottle then has another long sleep. Fingers crossed it works!

What a lovely day it has been here today, sunny and warm. Our garden is so green and everything is growing well. It isn't a very manicured garden, but it is old and established and we like it like that.

DS has rolled on a rug on the grass this afternoon. The cats were hoping he'd get off the rug so they could have it. He has eaten lots today - banana, baby rice and milk at breakfast, spinach and potato and pureed fruit for lunch with a little soya yoghurt, and vegetables and chicken pureed for tea. With bottles too.

We had a walk this morning and he was shouting in his buggy at the seagulls.
