Ooh not long to go, Tori! I had a section (will tell whole tale as soon as I get the chance) and really didn't want one but in the end I was the same and just wanted him out safely. What's more, at least with a section your fanjo will live to see another day Grin

Hi everyone! I've been missing you all!!! I still haven't had time to catch up on the thread since I went into hospital. What's new? Cupcake, I saw your scan - I bet you feel so much better now Smile I'm so glad it went well.
Tori, how long have you got to go?
Siarie, how are you settling in to being a mum? I haven't got used to it yet.
I knew it would be time-consuming having a new baby, but I had no idea I wouldn't have time to reply to texts and emails, answer the phone or catch up with you guys!! But it's all worth it for my little man Grin
I've had such a lot of trouble trying to feed DS. It's literally taken up nearly all of my day, every day, until my milk came in properly today. At first he wasn't latching on very well and when he did, my colostrum and then my milk wouldn't come out easily and he got really worked up about it to the point where the mere hint of putting him to my breast made him cry Sad He was getting so frustrated each time he tried to feed that he'd end up crying uncontrollably and couldn't even try to latch on again. Sad It broke my heart. Also at the hospital (we were there for nearly 3 days after he was born) everyone who was helping me feed thought he was doing ok and getting enough and it wasn't until the second night that someone posted out he must have been really dehydrated because he had very dry skin and his lips were cracked and chapped Sad Sad Sad When they said that I asked if they thought I should give him some formula and the midwife was like "YES!" And do you know what she told me then? They're not allowed to suggest giving formula, it has to be the mum who brings it up Angry My poor little boy was going through all that and getting hungrier and hungrier all because of that stupid policy Angry
Anyway, I've been expressing and topping up with formula since being home and it continued being really hard until today because he'd got used to being upset when I put him to the beast and i wasn't producing enough so I had to give him some expressed bm or formula before trying to bf so his hunger wasn't as bad and he wasn't so impatient.
I lost 4 nights' sleep in hospital and since I've been home the most I had was 4 hours or so per night until last night Confused
Birth story coming up...

Cupcake92 · 24/04/2015 16:01

Oo Lulu that would be good! Grin I hope he gets the job!

I'm exhausted I've done so much today! Took kids to school for my auntie and then went and had a tour around a nursery for DS to start in September :) then went off to get my hair highlighted and DS 's cut. Then went off to asda to get some things for tea and some more prenatal vitamins and I've come home and cleaned the whole kitchen and lounge lol Grin I'm so tired! I still need to make dinner and give DS a bath.
Can not wait for my bedtime!

LuluJakey1 · 23/04/2015 23:38

If DH gets this job, I am going to extend my maternity leave to a year which would mean I would go back in January. I so hope he gets it Grin

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2015 20:39

Aw glad it's done now I bet :)
hahaa! Grin always happens when its hot!
Me and DS went into town to buy him some shorts. I also got my self a new top from primark. It's not a maternity but its supposed to be like beach wear but it'll be perfect when it's rele hot and I've got a bump. I just brought a bigger size lol Grin

Ducky23 · 23/04/2015 20:16

It was uncomfortable but I survived! Grin Then I took ds for a loooonnng walk in the sunshine. I ended up a sweaty mess Blush but ds enjoyed himself

Tori I will most likely be having a boy Grin my family is desperate for a girl so it'll be a boy haha.
Bless u, it's good u can lie down tho. I remember sleeping sat upright on the sofa as it was far too painful to lie down :(
Atm my right side of my hip aches in bed feels like growing pains lol

Ducky I can imagine people walking up to u and then u suddenly turn round and BAM! Huge belly Grin and I still have my jelly belly Ducky, that never went at all :/ and at the scan she told me to put my knees up and move my hips from side to side... My stomach went all over the place haha!
And surprisingly he's been so so nice! Nicest I've ever known him, he was never this nice when we were together. It's like him living on his own has made him grow up finally. Which is good for DS and for DC.

Ducky23 · 22/04/2015 20:06

Apparently I looked quite funny with ds, everyone said I looked normal from behind then when I turned around I had a huuugggee belly! I'm really struggling to loose my jelly belly from him now tho Confused

Bet your ds will love being a big brother Smile how has stbxh been?

I've put on weight suddenly all round my hips :( it's awful!
With DS I didn't look like I'd put any weight on it was just on my stomach.
I'm crossing my fingers for a girl. But would still be happy if it's a boy :)

Ducky23 · 22/04/2015 19:29

I x posted with tori!

Hope your ok tori ThanksBrew

How exciting cupcake! I have a slight feeling it's a girl (so weird as I don't even know you!Grin)

Cupcake92 · 22/04/2015 19:13

Oh no Tori why are u feeling miserable? :(

Ducky yes its a private one :) same place where we had DS's gender scan :)
I'm rele not sure, I keep having dreams that it's a girl.
And that's really awful Ducky! Angry why didn't they use one for ur DD? I'd be on the phone complaining to them as that's just so so unfair!!

Ducky23 · 22/04/2015 18:52

Oooooohhhh have you got any feelings whether it's a boy or girl? Is it a private scan?

I'm feeling a bit 'meh', I decided to do a fundraiser for the bereavement suite where I had dd. When I had her she was not put in a cold cot so I could not spend as much time with her as I would of liked. So I decided I would raise money to buy a cold cot for them which would allow people in future to spend more time with their stillborn babies. I spent days researching, calling and e mailing people and found a lovely cot. I then rang the bereavement nurse and this is how the conversation went:

Me: I wanted to raise money for a cold cot for the bereavement suite and wondered who I would need to speak to to notify them.
Nurse: why would you do that, we already have 4?
Me: oh ok I didn't know that.
Nurse: we don't need any more.

I was a bit upset as she was quite rude and if they had put dd in the cold cot I could of spent more time with her Hmm

Cupcake92 · 21/04/2015 19:22

Thanks everyone!! :) :)
Consultant said it's a very tiny cyst and will most likely have disappeared by my next scan :) said its nothing to do with baby and won't affect baby in anyway.
Oh anddddd I have been allowed my water birth!!! Grin she said all going well this pregnancy I can have my water birth :) I have a scan in 4 weeks to see what the gender is :) yay!!!!!!!!!
I'm so excited now everything's well :)

Oo Tori that sounds uncomfortable! Confused

Gosh Lulu lots of walkng today! Hope u get a good rest :)

LuluJakey1 · 21/04/2015 18:25

Congratulations Cupcake!

I am exhausted. I took Ds for a walk, got home and DH arrived home at half 4 saying he fancied a walk with me and DS so we went again. I am sitting with my feet up and am really tired. DH cooking tea. DS snoozing.
