Cupcake92 · 29/04/2015 18:58

And Lill ur allowed as long as ur off all ur pain killers and injections and antibiotics if ur on any. :)

LuluJakey1 · 29/04/2015 18:57

No Duckey, DH wasn't angry. He got lots of marking done so he isn't doing it tonight.
I went and got a new iPAD today- hurrah! DS and I had lunch in town in John Lewis. He had his bottle and I had welsh rarebit and salad. It was yummy.
When we got home it was sunny so we had a walk.
I have made DH's favourite tea as an apology for this morning. Smile

I would deffo say a growth spurt Siarie :)
And yes I like to think girl too but my bets are on a boy :)
Aw bless ur DD! They always do that when someone's coming round Grin

Tori that's great baby is head down! Bet that was a relief to hear :)

Ducky I love the name Lily, my auntie was called Lily that's why I want it to be the middle name if baby is a girl :)
It's good that DS enjoyed himself today :) I need to get into some mommy groups or something because DS loves other children but we never see any very much.

I've been extremely bad tonight!! There's this dessert place not far from me and u call them up, order and they deliver to ur door! They do Italian gelato ice cream and cookie dough and Belgian waffles drizzled with Nutella! So I've ordered some for me and DS Grin plus I'm sooooooooooo craving sweet things!!! This is going to solve my craving :)

lillamyy1 · 29/04/2015 18:51

Btw, excellent news about your upside down baby Tori!! Smile

lillamyy1 · 29/04/2015 18:50

There's singing at my local mums and babies group too Ducky Blush I feel a bit silly singing songs for little kids but I expect as a parent you get used to it!
Now I'm feeding DS formula at night I've realised I can have a little tipple in the evenings Grin But I don't know if it's ok to drink after a c section? Anyone got any idea?

Ducky23 · 29/04/2015 16:01

The thing I was worried about was the other people being funny with me but they were all really nice.

There was singing which I am not keen on but think it was a one off Blush

Rain, rain!

We rent too but always get the cats written into the agreements. I'm so tired today, DD has started wanting smaller feeds closer together. Possibly she's going through a growth spurt? She's 20 days old today.

Two weeks until your gender scan cupcake! That's going so quickly. I wanted to say girl when I saw your scan picture, but it's hard to tell from those.

Had a couple of viewings today so had to try and tidy up beforehand. Then DD projectile vomited over me and the sofa right before the viewing.

DD only seems settled sleeping on me. She has a super sensitive startle reflex and will fling her arms out all the time on her back. It's meaning I have to be pinned to the sofa a lot though.

Cupcake92 · 29/04/2015 13:17

Aw bless Bears! Photobombing haha Grin
My DS loves Mr Tumble! Has to watch that in the morning.

Ducky what's a postnatal class? Confused

Tori, if it was me I'd leave it out I'll it stops raining and then wait till it dries again then bring it in and if it smells okay iron it and put it all away Grin ive forgotten many times about washing being outside! Or ive nipped out and it magically rained the 10 mins I was out.

I had an awful sleep last night I hardly slept. No idea why. I keep having such real and weird dreams too! All about this baby, it's always a girl and I called her Lily lol which is funny as that would actually be her middle name if im having a girl Grin
I only have 2 weeks till my gender scan to find out :)

Bearsinmotion · 29/04/2015 09:45

DS is 9 weeks already!

Do you have a local children's centre Ducky? We go there quite often instead of postnatal classes - it's a lot more relaxed and you can talk to other humans mums. They do different sessions for different ages and just have a load of toys and activities the babies can do while you have a cup of tea!

Although DD is insisting we walk today and it's tipping it down so I won't go until it stops! I think it might be a ploy so she can watch Mr Tumble before we go...

Glad it's all going well bears Smile how many weeks is ds now?

It's the same here cupcake Confused so rainy!

It's ds postnatal class today, really cba to go as I've heard bad things about them but suppose we best as ds hasn't seen another baby!

She's usually ok, gets a bit whiny if I spend too much time with DS! Especially at bedtime. And she photobombs if I take too many pictures of him (although the iPad won't let me upload any Confused!).

Cupcake92 · 29/04/2015 08:09

Aw that's great things are going wel Bears! :) yes see that's what I hope for, just a little bit of bonding time just me and baby whilst DS is at nursery, that way he will be less jealous and I can spend time with him when he's home :)
Do u find DD gets jealous often or is she quite happy with DS? I'm worried about my DS as he's an attention seeker lol!

Cupcake92 · 29/04/2015 08:06

Oh no Lulu! Yes i think ur iPad may have seen better days Grin poor DH! At least he wasn't late! :)

Aww bless ducky! Poor little hedgehog. Nigel the hedgehog Grin I like it!

It's awful weather here today :( rain rain and even more rain! No sitting in the garden today :( I have to look after my brother this afternoon as well so no idea what we are going to do! Will probably have to stay in as he has autism and doesn't rele like to venture out, especially in the rain!

Bearsinmotion · 29/04/2015 08:04

DD's nursery used to be £60! Shock This time I hop to have them in my work nursery, which is subsidised, and with her free 15 hours should work out to be £60/day for both of them.

DS is doing very well. Still wakes every 2 hours or so at night Hmm but feeds quickly and goes back to sleep. DD loves him and keeps kissing him.

This maternity leave seems so much easier than last time. DS is incredibly easy going and just fits in around us. Really hope it lasts! I thought I'd be a nervous wreck but it's just like a really long holiday! Cupcake, DD goes to nursery two days/week and you are right, it's been really good to have that time to bond with DS.

Love the cat and baby pics :)

Ducky23 · 29/04/2015 07:55

Well a woman took him to the vets, he was found being kicked around the street by a bunch of kids Sad they'd broke his legs as. Stuff, he couldn't walk so needed syringe feeding every 3 hours, the vet said (right infront of my face) 'were unable to get anyone here to syringe feed him that often so unless we can find someone to take him he will have to be pts' Hmm so I had to step up.

I called him Nigel and he lived in the spare room now ds room he started to walk bits and I would take him out in the gardens with me and people would give me such funny looks because I was walking round with a hedgehog with bandaged legs Grin he then started eating himself Grin but then he stopped and just stared loosing weight. I found a woman that takes in hedgehogs and contacted her and she said she would have him (she was a hedgehog specialist Grin) I cried so much giving him over! But she stays in touch. Apparently he went for obvs at her vets and they has broken all his legs and his nose which we didn't know about, so he couldn't smell to eat. She usually has them then releases them when they are well but she will keep Nigel for the rest of his life as he's too damaged to go back in the wild Hmm

Wow that was long!

Hahaha lulu!!!! Grin Was DH angry? I think if I did that to h he would never ever forgive me!!!

LuluJakey1 · 29/04/2015 07:14

Cupcake- he often has a beard but he sometimes shaves it off and I think he looks younger without it but he likes it. At least it is very close cropped. He thinks it disguises his double chin.

I am going to buy a new ipad today. This one has given up the ghost completely with times and dates. I woke this morning and it said 07.17. I woke DH qnd told him he was late. He jumped up, showered, dressed and rushed out to work. I got a text to say 'It is 6.45am Lu. I am the only one here'

Ipad was reading 8.05. I thought DS was sleeping well. Smile

Anyway, the edge is warped where I dropped it and the glass is starting to fall out in little chunks now.

Sairie your cats are lovely! And they like each other, ours don't really like each other.

Cupcake92 · 29/04/2015 07:13

Tori that's the same price as DS's nursery, he went in at 6 months old but took him out a couple months later as I just couldn't afford it. It's ridiculously expensive, I pay less on my rent lol!
DS gets his 15 hours free starting September but even then I still have to pay! As it's only 3 hours in the morning and 3 in the afternoon, 7:30am-10:30am and 1pm-4pm
If u want him staying longer anything inbetween those times u have to pay for!
Because of the new baby etc I have no choice but to put him in and pay Hmm even if I can't afford to.

Lill for me it wasn't worth going back to work rele because I didn't earn lots in my old job and literally every bit I earnt went on his nursery! Left me with nothing to pay bills, thankfully exH looked after him as well as other family. Now with exH new job and mine it works out well that he's off when I'm at work so he has him. But when new baby is here I rele need thay time to bond with baby and have DS in nursery. Also he needs it to help prepare for school and learn sharing etc.

Omg Ducky Confused how did u get a hedgehog!? Lol!

Ducky23 · 29/04/2015 07:01

Woh tori Shock think I'm in the wrong business!!

Lil they are a huge responsibility! I don't know why I didn't just stick to 1 dog Confused, well I do. I had a dog, h said he had to have one cus I had one, then I got forged to have the little one as if I didn't they were going to have her pts Hmm

I've had so many animals that way! I go to the vets and they see me coming! Last time I went I ended up with a hedgehog for a week Blush

OP posts:
lillamyy1 · 29/04/2015 04:22

That's ridiculously expensive! It's almost not worth going back to work Hmm
We're really lucky because DM is retired and very keen on looking after DS when I o back to work. Don't think she'd want to look after him every ay once I go back full time, but I've got a friend whose DM is a child minder so will probably send him there sometimes too.

Lovely cats everyone Smile I wish we could have one but since we're renting we're not allowed and anyway I find pets too much responsibility, and would be scared of something happening to them. There is a very pretty fluffy tubby that likes to visit us sometimes but she gets overexcited and bites and scratches so we've discouraged her from coming in now DS is here.
