Morning Cupcake. Yes DS slept through until about 20 minutes ago. We are watching the news- Royal Baby on its way- and he is having his breakfast. Happy boy this morning. DH still fast asleep!

You are feelng movements early- I was about 18 weeks I think before I felt anything. What date did they give you as your due date?

Cupcake92 · 02/05/2015 06:56

Lulu I hope DS slept for u last night :)

My DS didnt do too bad he fell asleep late at about 9:30pm and he woke up at 10:30 but a cuddle sent him straight back to sleep then he's got up at 6:30am :) so not bad last night! I'm still tired tho Grin

I keep feeling some movements every so often. Mainly at night when I go to bed. I don't always feel something tho. I'm 14 weeks so hopefully I'll start feeling more and more soon:)

LuluJakey1 · 01/05/2015 22:21

DS had his bath and feed and is fast asleep! Please let him sleep tonight.

DH has also had his bath and a feed and is fast asleep. Grin

I am downstairs with a glass of white wine and some cheese and biscuits waching crap telly.

LuluJakey1 · 01/05/2015 19:26

Sairie, she looks so cute there, so does DS Cupcake- very serious little face Smile

DS fell asleep on his early walk this morning and slept for two hours when we got home. I slept too on the sofa. It was bliss. We have been shopping this afternoon and he was good as gold in Sainsbury's.

DH is upstairs sleeping- knackered. Me and Ds are on the sofa just lazing.

It's not a door bouncer no but it's like one but has like activities all round and they can twist 360 degrees and every time u jump it makes a noise and songs :) and flashes lol.

Well done Lill at sticking to the bf!! That's rele good even tho it's exhausting :) I hope I have the strength like u to stick at it.
And men are useless at cleaning! Lol Grin

Oo Siarie the apps a good idea :) and thanks but I've don't it all with DS too. I had absolutely no help at all from exH when DS was born. No help at night, in the day, no help cleaning or cooking, no help bathing DS or changing his nappy or dressing him. Absolutely no help at all. Also exH used to come to bed at 3am as he had no job them and always wake DS! It was very irritating!
I'm a little worried about having a newborn and a toddler by myself but Im sure I'll cope :) they'll be closer to me because I do everything for them which is nice.

As for this weekend, it's food shopping tomorrow and a nice relaxing day Sunday with a gammon joint :)

Ducky23 · 01/05/2015 14:56

Wtf is wrong with men and tidying!! If I ask h to do it when he finally does it after about 3 days of nagging he takes 2 mins doing a 10 min job, then I have to re do it anyway!

Bf would be exhausting itself! Well done for biting your tongue! X

lillamyy1 · 01/05/2015 14:44

He has about 3 ffs at night. It's great because I can have the occasional little tipple before bed! Grin I find the whole sterilisation thing a pain in the arse though Hmm
DP is doing the housework today because DS won't stop feeding long enough for me to do it! But DP gets really annoyed and sarky when I ask him to do stuff and also fannies about and makes a 2 minute job take ten mins. I'm really having to bite my tongue!!!

Ducky23 · 01/05/2015 14:32

I've done it all myself since day one! It is difficult but definitely gets easier Smile

We probably won't do anything interesting the weekend. Maybe we will go to the pub.

Is it just the one ff ds has lil? Or just night feeds? Are you finding bf ok now?

OP posts:
Siarie · 01/05/2015 14:20

Haha Lil, I was carefully eating some pasta over DD yesterday. It's hard work when they want feeding and so do you!

DD looks like she's stirring, she's been asleep for three hours now. Me and DH are using an app called "Sprout Baby" we can both input nappy changes, feeds etc so we know when the last one was :D

Cupcake Sorry you're feeling so tired, I remember those days although I think it started to get a lot better for me after 16 weeks so maybe you only have a few more weeks to go? I honestly think you are very brave for bringing up a second child by yourself, I think of you when I get up for my night feeds. If I didn't share them with DH I think I'd go crazy, so I commend anyone who does that all by themselves.

Has everyone got nice plans for the long weekend? I think ours is going to be a quiet one, although I haven't checked the weather here if it's nice maybe I should take DD out!

lillamyy1 · 01/05/2015 12:39

DS has started eating loads as well!! The nights aren't too bad now he's on formula at night but the amount he's having from the bottle has doubled in the last couple of days.
He's also gone from bfing in the day every 3 hours or so to what seems like constantly Blush I have no time to do anything else!! Last night he had two 45 min bfs followed immediately by 80ml of formula Shock I don't know where he puts it all!!
I'm sitting here feeding him right now, eating an Easter egg I got reduced from oxfam.. Just picked him up to burp him and realised I've dropped chocolate all over him and his new baby gro is covered in patches of melted chocolate!! Blush

Ducky23 · 01/05/2015 12:01

He eats every 2-3 hours Blush the max he will go is 3. When he goes to his hosp appts and they ask me how much/often he eats they all look at me like I'm mental! He had a whole Ella's food pouch yesterday too Blush he was weighed the other week and is 17lb 8

Is that a door bouncer cupcake? He has a door bouncer and a walker Grin h keeps telling me off cus there are toys EVERYWHERE Shock

Ducky I can remember the 4 month growth spurt! It did exactly the same to my DS. He slept through about 9/10pm till 8pm then suddenly was up about 3 times in the night and it took him ages to get out of it, then when he did and he started sleeping again he had another growth spurt and it was back to the beginning again.
How often does ur DS feed in the day? My DS was awful and ended up eating every 2 hours nearly!

Oh and ducky buy a jumperoo for when he can hold his head up. I swear to God it's a life saver!! I popped DS in it and he loved it and I managed to get all housework done etc whilst he played In it. And sometimes managed a bite to eat and a cuppa :)
It's coming out for this next baby for sure lol

Ducky23 · 01/05/2015 10:54

Oh and he was sleeping most the time in the day, he would be up for around 2 hours each time but then I think it was around 12 ish weeks he spends most the day awake. It's ok at the moment though as he likes his play mat because he can grab his toys so he entertains himself for quite a bit

OP posts:
Ducky23 · 01/05/2015 10:52

I think he was going 7-7.30ish from about 11 weeks with one feed imbetween around 4am. Then came the 4 month growth spurt Blush it was horrendous! He was constantly eating during the day and back to at least two hourly during the night, that lasted around 2 weeks, since then he's been doing this early morning waking. I've been doing a lot of reading into it and apparently it can take a few weeks after the growth spurt to sort itself our. Some babies aren't that different during it though. Fingers crossed for you all that your babies sail through it because it was awful!

Oh no cupcake poor ds! You try and relax a bit! Could anyone have him for a few hours for you so you can get some rest?

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 01/05/2015 10:37

Aw Siarie how cute is she!
That's good about loosing weight! I'm hoping I can loose a fair bit after the baby :)

Ducky, I don't know how I cope tbh lol I always wanna sleep all day anyway but today omg I'm exhausted :( I'm so so tired! DS wants to go to the park as well but I don't think I have the energy :( might bribe him to stay in with a kinder egg haha Grin
He sat on his iPad atm (was my ipad!)
He also bumped his head this morning and has a little bump :( bless him.

Siarie · 01/05/2015 08:16

ducky that sucks, that's pretty much like a newborn schedule. When did your DS start sleeping longer before?

DD is three weeks and one day today, she doesn't seem to be sleeping longer yet!

Siarie · 01/05/2015 08:14

On the plus side I've lost another 2lbs in two days. Going to hit my lowest weight since school days soon!

I think it's the thyroid meds I'm taking, the doctors haven't reduced the amount much and I think I'm taking too much (which continently makes you lose weight). Have to wait six weeks before I get another blood test. But not complaining fastest weight loss since the first trimester is all good with me.

Ducky23 · 01/05/2015 08:11

They must be! Maybe there's a babynet! I didn't sleep either Hmm he went to bed at around 10.30, woke up at 1 for his dummy, woke up at 3 for feeding, then woke up at 4 Hmm he used to sleep so well aswell. It's since this sleep regression thing Confused

I won't sleep either. I don't know what it is but I just can't sleep in the day time!

I feel for you cupcake, I was exhausted when pregnant anyway, even when I had a full nights sleep, couldn't imagine having broken sleep then up early Confused

Morning everyone,

I'm also tired, DD still isn't in a proper routine now so she wakes a lot. Currently asleep on me! Which is annoying as I might as well get up af do things. Cleaner cancelled on me yesterday and rescheduled today, I've got a bunch more viewings happenings so need to be up and have the place looking presentable.

Knackered!

Cupcake92 · 01/05/2015 07:45

No I've not had any sleep :( getting everyone ready for school now and I've already had 2 cups of coffee so not allowed any more Shock these pregnancy limits aye! Ducky I feel like u, I could cry I'm so so tired and I know I probably won't get to sleep till tonight :(

Gosh Lulu u as well! Maybe our DC's have been communicating and all decided to have an all nighter Grin hope DS goes to sleep for u!

LuluJakey1 · 01/05/2015 07:17

Looks like it was a sleepless night then!

DS woke just after 2 and was awake almost an hour and has been awake since half 4. He is so tired. DH went into the spare room and I have been with DS but he kept him awake anyway. He has gone to work looking so exhausted.

I am going to take DS out and try and get him to sleep. Babies!

Hope you get some sleep Duckey and Cupcake.

Ducky23 · 01/05/2015 05:30

Hope you managed to get some sleep cupcake. Ds woke up at 4. I could actually cry I'm so tired.

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 01/05/2015 03:32

Lulu sleep seems to be non existent tonight. As u may be able to tell as I'm posting this at 3:30am Grin
He's been up and down all night and I'm so so exhausted. Maybe he's preparing me for DC's arrival in October?
I have to be up early and ready to take the kids to school in the morning as well so unfortunately even if he stays asleep I need to get him up!
I don't have work so naps all day seems like a good idea to me Grin

LuluJakey1 · 30/04/2015 22:01

Ducky, he is a good sleeper most night- goes through from 10 or 11 until 6.30/7ish.
We occasionally go to a baby group in the village, but I am not keen. It is too Yummy Mummy. I can't be doing with the competition to be the most perfect mummy and have the most perfect baby when clearly DS is the cleverest and most beautiful
DS is now fast asleep. He had his feed when he came back from the walk. He was very sleepy but still managed to scoff it all. Hopefully that is him until 7 am.
Lill, your DS is such a cutie. I love his hair and his big eyes.
Hope you get some sleep and your headache goes Cupcake. Nick Clegg took a hammering on that programme.
