Yes Lill he's started talking, he can only say certain things tho and can't rele do sentences. Only "biscuit please" which I guess is a sentence haha Grin
He's at that stage where he's got his own names for things like the iPad is his PadPad, chocolate is choc choc. Grin

DS slept all through last night! So I got a whole nights sleep yay :)

Lulu that's sounds awful! A 12 day long AF! Hope they start to even out for u soon

LuluJakey1 · 03/05/2015 23:26

Cupcake- sounds like you definitely made the right decision.
Hope you get good advice on Tuesday Ducky. Your DH never sounds very caring or thoughtful or even fun. You deserve someone who is.

LuluJakey1 · 03/05/2015 23:25

TMI but my 12 day long period finally ended yesterday. GP said it is just my hormones getting back to normal. I have had short periods and long ones since Ds was born. Have had a lovely bath. Nice to be in bed with no clothes on and feeling clean. I was sick of it.

It has poured here until about 8pm. DH has been doing some work- he's got an interview this week for that job- on Wednesday. I have been asking him questions tonight and listening to him answer. Not very interesting! Smile We are living life on the edge here in Northumberland.

Siarie · 03/05/2015 22:23

Sounds like a bad egg to me, although both your DH and cupcakes exH always did.

Babies put a strain on relationships, but it sounds like you have long standing history anyway ducky.

lillamyy1 · 03/05/2015 20:33

Aww poor DS Cupcake! I hate it when they cry and can't tell you what's wrong Sad Had your DS started talking yet?
Also, I'd be really peed off with that friend of yours as well. I hate people who have to make everything about them Angry
Ducky, I think it's a really good idea that you're seeking legal advice. Cupcake's right, he won't be able to take DS, it's quite clear you're the sole caregiver! Also you mustn't feel guilty if you do want to leave. Re your H cutting his wrists before, that's a really manipulative thing to do and clearly just to get your attention because if he was actually suicidal he'd have actually killed himself. You deserve so much better than him Flowers

Cupcake92 · 03/05/2015 17:43

Yeah see what advice they give u first :) and saving a pot of money is a good idea.

Aw yay! Glad the towel tricked worked! Well done DS for sleeping!! :)

My DS woke up again last night and was crying so much he got so worked up and was sobbing and he finally fell asleep in my bed and was still sobbing in his sleep :( it was awful bless him! I think he may have had a nightmare as he was so so upset!

Ducky23 · 03/05/2015 07:33

I know cupcake Confused well I will see what she says Tuesday. I'm trying to get a secret pot of money together. Then I shall make a plan.

Well the towel trick worked! Ds slept from around 6 to 7 this morning with one feed at 3 am Grin, I think he had a small feed at 9ish too. So I shall be buying one of them blinds! I hope it covers the window enough as our bedroom windows are big!

I know this may sound harsh Ducky but in regards to saying he'd kill himself u really can't let that force u into staying. If it comes to u leaving him maybe put ur mind at rest and inform a friend or family member of his to come over and see him as he's threatening to do things. They wouldn't say no and u will know he can't be stupid. I'd also mention that to the solicitor. Plus if he did it that isn't ur fault at all. And u wouldn't say to DS his father did that because of u, because it wasnt because of u, it was because he was trying to get attention. As harsh as that sounds.
I worried exH family would try and take DS off me, cuz they do things like that n I was terrified they'd take me to court for custody n make exH take him off me. But now look! They never even see DS!! So i worried for nothing. I did learn that no one can take DS away because he's not neglected, he's looked after well. As long as u are caring for DS and loving him no one can take him Ducky :)
As Tori said staying in an unhappy relationship isn't worth it. What's worth it is u and DS being happy 99% of the time not only 50% of the time.
Took me ages but I did it. My house is so much cleaner and stays clean for longer! I feel I can go in and out when I want and no arguments :) I cook what I like and watch what I like on tv. And I'm happy and DS is so much happier too.
Still don't get time on my own tho as exH only has DS if I'm at work -_- like Monday I'm off but I have to have DS... Because I'm off Hmm
Do what u think will benefit ur life and health in the long run Ducky.
Sorry this is so long!
writing this at 4:45am as I needed to pee so so bad then checked this lol

Ducky23 · 02/05/2015 22:23

And my didn't work either

OP posts:
Ducky23 · 02/05/2015 22:21

Cupcake, you have every right to feel like that. What a bitch Hmm it never fails to surprise me what idiots people can be.

Tori, take a year of if you can Smile you will love it! I'm sure DH wouldn't mind paying your share to save on childcare!

Thanks guys, I just really hope I don't chicken out, there's three main things that are bothering me ATM, they are:

  1. DH family are VERY wealthy also very unhappy and hate each other, each one has had a previous drug problem of some sort and I'm terrified that if anything happens they will try and take ds away from me Confused
  1. Some days h can seem so nice, it's like were just best mates. And id feel awful doing anything to hurt him then he does something to piss me off
  1. H has cheated on me a few times in the past, last time I left him. I went back the next day to find he'd slit his wrists. There was blood everywhere. He said if I left him he'd kill himself. What if he does? How could I tell ds that his father did that because of me?

I feel like I'm in such a difficult place right now. And also my family live in a particular area where houses never come up to rent so if I wasn't in the house i wouldn't get anywhere near any of my support Hmm

I am so sorry to go off on one. I suppose I just need to hear what you guys think. too little sleep makes me waffle on!

Ducky I think that's a good decision Uve made. Some advice would be good :) might make u feel better

Cupcake92 · 02/05/2015 21:39

Is this bad to feel a little bit jealous/annoyed?
I as u know had been TTC for about a year and lost 2 babies, my best friend through this time didn't want anymore children (she has 2 already, one a month younger than DS) and told me theres no way she would get pregnant till her youngest is a bit older.
When I found out I was pg this time and had my early scan and told her things were good this time she blurted out "I'm pregnant too! But I'm 2 weeks ahead of u!"
I get a little annoyed as I wanted it to be my moment as it had taken so long to get a healthy child.
Well I had put a status on Facebook with a clip of my baby's heartbeat last week and later that day she posted "heard my baby's heartbeat today and it was so clear!"
Again I felt like she was taking away my moment.
Then today I put a status up saying I could wait to find out what I'm having in 2 weeks time :)
The literally 5 mins later she puts one saying "decisions, not sure if me and DH will find out the sex of our baby in a few weeks I think a surprise is so much more exciting. What does everyone think?"
And again I feel like she taken that moment away from me! Don't know if I'm over reacting a little bit?

Just feel I've been through so much and finally got my healthy baby and someone's taking away my excitement for themselves :(

Ducky23 · 02/05/2015 21:37

He does squeal! He tries his hardest to talk!!
Hope they find a perfect house lulu!

Well I didn't want to say this incase somehow he saw it... But .... I am going to see a solicitor Tuesday Confused just to get basic advice really.

I have a redundancy payment coming my way and I have told him it is like 1/4 of what it really is. I'm going to put the rest into savings should ds or me need it. It annoyed me, the first time I told him of the payment, bear in mind he hasn't given me a penny since I'm on mat is 'what are you buying me'. I said that money is for ds and he went on a rant about how he's always given me some if he's had a payout, but that was before ds and when I had money myself!

Sounds exactly like my exH Ducky!!! 100%!
They must be twins I'm sure.
Yeah it could be the light, I hope the towel trick works tonight for u Ducky :)

Aw that's nice Lulu, how soon are they wanting to move?
I'm quite jealous of the royal baby. I remember finding out I was pregnant and about a month later they mentioned she was pg but not quite 12 weeks and I was always thinking if she'd be due the same day as me. I was due 4th April tho! lol!

LuluJakey1 · 02/05/2015 21:10

They have seen one they really like and have two others to see in the morning before they go home. DH has gone out with them now to see exactly where the one they liked today is from the outside.

We have a black-out blind in DS's room- not that he is in there yet. I do think the bigger night time feed makes a difference - most nights anyway.

Does your DS squeal? DS has learned how to squal and it is really funny. He giggles when he does it.

Ducky23 · 02/05/2015 20:18

Have they found anything they like the look of lulu? It will be nice for you to have family near. I think if ds had bigger feeds he would be ok but he won't Confused although when he wakes in the morning he isn't usually hungry. I think tonight I will put a towel over the window as our curtains are quite thin so I'm wondering if it's the light. If it works il buy him one of them blinds you can stick to the window. Fingers crossed!

He has 3 x 6 oz bottles and 2 x 7oz Duckey. He has the two bigger ones last ones in the day which I think helps him sleep.

You must be so tired Duckey and your DH should be ashamed of himself. Does he think it is all nothing to do with him?

SIL and fiance staying tonight- have been looking at houses up here today.

Has anyone else felt emotional about thebirth of the Royal baby? I have just thought Prince William was so lovely with George and with Kate. And it reminded me of when DS was born as well- just that day when he was born and how emotional and happy we were.

Ducky23 · 02/05/2015 19:50

Make sure your not doing too much cupcake!

After the conversation me and h just had I don't know whether to laugh or cry! It went like this

Me: I'm so fed up of this cold (I still feel like crap I don't feel I've got any better at all Hmm) I think the reason I can't shift it is that I don't get enough sleep. I don't remember the last time I got more than 3.5 to 4 hours sleep a night in a row.

H: I know I haven't either (in a really sarcy/pissed off voice)

H has not once done any form of feed for ds, let alone a night feed. He doesn't do housework, he has not once ever got up with ds in the morning. I was up at 5.30 with ds this morning, he slept until 11.50am, he sleeps until 9am in the week when he goes to work! Sleeping until 7 is a bloody lie in for me. I just sat there like ShockShockShockShock I didn't even know whAt to say! He has had more sleep since I got up this morning than I have a whole night!

Cupcake92 · 02/05/2015 18:50

That's good Ducky :) Cuz mine aren't every day only every other day but I'm glad that's normal!

Lill that sounded yummy I wish I could eat cured meats :) and yes I know I'm so glad I've made it this far :) 14 weeks is a great accomplishment ! Grin I have my midwife appointment on Wednesday as well and I'm so excited to be able to go and say "I made it to my 2nd appt this time! Yay!" I have so many questions to ask her tho she's going to hate me Grin

I've done so so much today I'm glad to finally be sitting down. I've started to clear the house out whilst I'm not huge and I'm able to do most things. Smile

lillamyy1 · 02/05/2015 12:29

Cupcake, I can't believe you're already 14 weeks! That's great news Grin Also, how exciting that you're feeling movements!

lillamyy1 · 02/05/2015 12:27

I'm enjoying a plate of goat's cheese, Stilton and cured meats as I really missed all them when I was pg. I hope it doesn't make DS more windy though Hmm

lillamyy1 · 02/05/2015 12:25

I forgot to say before, what a lovely picture of you and DD, siarie, and Cupcake, DS looks so cute! How old is he now? Does he speak yet?
I've had a wonderful lie in this morning while DP was downstairs with DS. Now he's gone up for a nap and DS is napping next to me on the sofa. He looks so peaceful, but every now and then he's scrunching his face up and writhin around and then lets out a big trump! Grin like father like son

Ducky23 · 02/05/2015 09:46

Wow lulu I'm jealous! Ds slept until 2am for a feed and then up at 5 Confused I'm exhausted! What is your ds feeding pattern lulu? I've read most babies ds age are having around 5 6oz bottles a day. Not my ds Shock

Cupcake I had movements very early but it definitely wasn't every day. He would go a couple of days without me feeling anything at that stage. Infact up until around 30 weeks he would have quiet days, which was usually a Friday!!

Cupcake92 · 02/05/2015 07:25

Oh that's is good :) well done DS. And yes I reckon she's having another boy because everyone keeps saying it'll be a girl Grin

Oh good I'm glad u said that Cuz I was worrying thinking I should be feeling more by now. They have me October 30th as my due date
