Thanks so much for sticking up for me cupcake Flowers It really pees me off that any thread on here can turn into an argument! Hmm

lillamyy1 · 09/05/2015 17:37

Thanks everyone Smile
Ducky, thanks so much for the offer of the bottles! I'll be ok though thanks, I've got the 'closer to nature' Avent ones which are anti-colic Smile

Ducky23 · 09/05/2015 16:51

Tori that's a neat bump! Grin Looks quite high doesn't it!

Sorry Lill I had to respond on ur thread!
People like that rele piss me off!! Angry
It doesn't matter how u feed ur baby as long as ur happy and have energy! The baby needs u to have energy and be happy :) it does sound like colic tho :) as Ducky said use infacol before every feed :)

I'm in one of those moods because I went to asda and again someone who has no children parked in a child and parent space!! Angry

Tori ur bump is so perfect! :) bet ur glad to be term tomorrow :) ur almost there!

Siarie I'm like u, ideally I'd like one of each, a DS and a DD :) we'll see next week lol.

Siarie · 09/05/2015 16:03

It's not always the formula that causes those pains. I was exclusively BF St first and DD had those pains. Try Infacol occasionally to help with trapped wind, anti colic bottle (we use Tommee Tippee ones just be sure the valves are open).

DD gets wind now and will squirm, pop a bit of infacol and she's soon settled.

I see the poster replied on the thread, this thread does pop up in active a lot. I forget how many people read it Grin

I had an emergency c section due to fetal distress before I had dilated enough for them to do the head blood test.

Don't you feel guilty at all lil! You had problems with bf to start with didn't you? Some people on here piss me right off, you can get some right nasties thinking they know everything. If ff at night is helping you get more sleep to enable you to look after your baby better without being a zombie do it! I just read your post and it does sound like a bit of colic, maybe try infacol or gripe water (not sure what age that can be used from but infacol is Deffo ok) and try using anti colic bottles? I do have some that have barely been used if you wanted me to send you some? But they are tommee tippee, some people swear by them dr browns ones.

Having said that ds cmpi started at that age too, it doesn't sound like that though as he was screaming 24/7. Keep an eye for other indicators (rash, reflux, stomach cramps, feeding constantly, blood in poo) if you notice any then take him drs and get a pead referral.

I have no idea about milk drying up, maybe speak to HV or midwife. Smile

Never never never feel guilty your doing fab!

They've made me feel guilty for not solely bfing and worried my milk's going to dry up Sad

lillamyy1 · 09/05/2015 12:14

Siarie - what tummy??!! Grin I can't see anything in your photo! Mine's bigger and I'm confident it'll go down - I'm sure yours will too.
Lovely neat bump Cupcake Smile
Siarie, did you have an elcs? I'd got it in my head that you were induced but then you've said about not having been in active labour? My memory's f**ked! Confused

Started a thread yesterday about DS's tummy ache and ended up getting reprimanded for ffing at night by bf nazis enthusiasts Hmm

Siarie · 09/05/2015 09:56

Goodness cupcake I hope my dd sleeps through when she's that age, I think I'd break!

DD slept for five hours, albeit in my bed last night. Longest gap between feeds so far. She doesn't like being on her back, but will sleep well on her side against me (with me sleeping on my side). And I thought I'd be able to sleep on my back Grin after pregnancy.

She will sleep in the hammock but startles and gets upset.

I want a DS next in an ideal world. We are only having two so one of each would be great. We tried to have a girl using the sperm meets egg plan, I don't know if that actually played a part but we will try for a boy next time.

Cupcake92 · 09/05/2015 07:16

Got a bit of sleep Ducky. He went back to sleep in his bed till 7 so a few hours lol.
I'm hoping he sleeps through once baby is here too! I've not spoken or seen my HV for a very long time now, I think the last time I went he had just turned 1 back in August!
But the children's centre is only open on Thursdays and I'm at work all day :/
I got offered to possible go on a TV show called "the three day nanny" as I sent an email about how I can't get DS to go to bed and that he's nearly 2 and how he wakes up etc. but I watched some episodes of the last series and the children on it were awful! So so misbehaved and nothing like DS. He's not naughty in the day he just doesn't go to bed at night or sleep well lol so I said no I didn't want to participate Confused maybe I should have

Ducky23 · 09/05/2015 04:43

Posted too soon!

Have you spoke to your HV? Maybe there's some tricks you can do to get him to sleep better.

OP posts:
Ducky23 · 09/05/2015 04:41

Oh no cupcake! Hope you get some sleep! Will he not sleep in your bed?
My mom told me, my brother never used to sleep and wAs always up at night. She said she thought when she was pg with me she wouldn't cope, but as soon as I came along my brother started sleeping through! Maybe your ds will be similar. Have you spoke to your HV?

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 09/05/2015 03:45

Aww bless u Ducky, I wouldn't be able to get rid of anything either. There's no harm in keeping all the stuff :)

I'm up with DS as he wont sleep Sad not sure why his sleep has changed! Could it be the baby? Or growth spurt ? I dunno :/
I'm lying in my bed with him and my hip aches so so bad! I can't turn over or move tho as he wakes up and cries. Plus I'm desperate for a wee!! Confused

Ducky23 · 08/05/2015 21:32

It's strange isn't it, after dd I could only picture having girls, but now I've had ds I can only picture having boys. I think it just goes like that!

It sounds stupid but I'm kind of scared of having another girl because I think that people will think I'm replacing dd Confused

Shame though, I have so much girls stuff in a cupboard, everything from bottles to clothes to playmats, two bouncy chairs, changing mats Hmm I can't bring myself to get rid of any of it, think il always have it!

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 08/05/2015 21:13

Oh wow Ducky! :) that's a big one!
And yep :) find out next Sunday! I can't wait!! Grin I think a boy I do but only because I've had a boy so know I can carry boys Grin have a boys name already and a girls name too :) I love both my choices, Oscar or Faith :) hehe!
Oh and hospital food.... I loved it Blush the lamb hotpot was so good Grin

Thanks Siarie! I'm deffo going to consider getting one of those :) they look rele good, look like they rele support u, I could have done with one after DS.

Ducky23 · 08/05/2015 20:27

And that is a neat bump!! Is it next week you find out the gender? So excited! I'm thinking it's a girl

OP posts:
Ducky23 · 08/05/2015 20:26

I think I lost mine quickly because of stress! And a weeks worth of hospital food :,) horrible stuff!

OP posts:
Siarie · 08/05/2015 19:22

Hey look at that neat bump, bet you are pleased cupcake.

I used a belly bandit after my top stitches came out day five.

m.bellybandit.com

I think that's probably why it shrank down so quickly. DD will be a month old tomorrow! Also I was really sick in the first trimester and that helped too.

Ducky23 · 08/05/2015 18:49

Tbh cupcake it looks the same now as it did before I got pg! I was surprised! When I was pg it just looked bigger Grin

Mine goes from my belly button down quite low/onto me doodah and across almost to both my hips so it did get quite a bit stretched! I have stretch marks you can see in the gaps of the tattoo but you can't tell on te tattood skin.

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 08/05/2015 18:36

Omg Siarie how are u that skinny after a csection?!? I want ur doctor lol!

I'm deffo not skinny especially now haha Grin as u can see a small bump is formed Grin I was thinking tho if I did end up being rushed off for a csection again for whatever reason might ask them to snip a bit of fat off Grin not sure if they'd do it tho! Worth a try :p

Oh how cool Ducky! How did the tattoos look when pg? I've always wanted one going down the side of my stomach and hip but never got it because of future pregnancies Incase it stretched Confused I wasn't sure if that would happen? Is urs still the same?

My legs and ankles went massive too! But I had lots of drips and things Confused

Do the scars ache?

Siarie, I love the pajamas!!!!!!! Grin

I'm smaller than I was but my tummy is more flabby too Confused would post a pic but I have tattoos over my stomach which could give me away! Grin

OP posts:
Siarie · 08/05/2015 16:20

Oh is the IV fluid why that happens? I had one during my induction as I was throwing up loads. cupcake that interesting to know, ideally I'd like to know what labour is like but I would hate to go through active labour only to end up having to have a section anyway if that makes sense.

This is my tummy at the moment, the scar/wound is really low down but before I had a small amount of fat on my stomach but was still flat. However now because the scar pulls in that tiny bit of fat looks really bad so that's why I'm going to have to get rid of it to be happy with the look with the scar basically or get an op. DH said I should get some advice on it and see what they can offer, I'll do that once I know what I'm dealing with (once it all stops changing).

Abs are getting closer together but still have a gap towards the bottom so that won't be helping.
