Been to the doctors and I have got spd and being referred to physio. Just got to wait for a letter with my appointment on.

Cupcake92 · 26/05/2015 07:50

Oh yea Lulu I've heard some good things about those heat patches. I wonder if it's safe to use while pg? Could u use them while asleep in bed? That would be good for me lol!

Lill I'm hoping the belt works too! Well that's good that DP made an effort :) let's hope he keeps it up :) as for the Xbox id accidentally spill something on it or maybe DS was accidentally sick over it Grin I did get very angry when H was on it all the time when DS was born as i was exhausted and it pissed me off he was sat there giggling with his mates all night..... One morning I got up with DS got ready to go out to baby clinic and snapped his game disk so he couldn't play it anymore :) didn't work tho! As soon as I got back he'd gone to town on the bus! And when he got back he'd brought a brand new one! I was so angry!

Had lots of movement this morning!! :) :) starting to feel him more which is so nice and reassuring ! Proper little kicks! Love the feeing :)

Lillamyy1 · 25/05/2015 23:21

Haha Lulu, poor DH you have kept him waiting!
DP didn't want to dtd the whole time I was pg, now I don't feel like it in the slightest and he really wants to! I think he's given up trying now though! I hope I haven't gone off it for good... Although I don't to want to risk getting pg again for a good few years so maybe better if I don't feel like it! Grin

Lillamyy1 · 25/05/2015 23:18

Cupcake I do hope the belt works!
Well DP was too proud to apologise for being such a nob, but when he got home from work he went out of his way to make up for it - changing DS in the night, bringing me drinks and cereal when I was feeding DS, doing the washing up Grin asinine forgiven him for now but he's best not let it happen again...
Cupcake, men and their bloody playstations! Or in my DP's case, Xbox Hmm I really hope he grows out of it... I don't want DS thinking it's acceptable to sit around indoors playing video games when he could be outside getting some exercise and fresh air! You and Ducky have both done really well raising your boys without any help from your lazy H's. Siarie it's good your DH equally shares the workload. He sounds as good as Lulu's DH!
DS has terrible nappy rash again Sad but the CJ's Butter worked so well last time that we invested in a big tub so have been putting that on it again, hope it clears quickly.

LuluJakey1 · 25/05/2015 21:10

If I have had an achey back, heat patches are really good. We always keep some in the house. They are really effective. I have put them on my tummy if I have had period cramp. DH put them on the knee he injured last year.

DS is asleep but the cats are out and I don't like leaving them out so I am still downstairs. DH is in the bath. Smile He does make me laugh. He is so enthusiastic about it. There is nothing much on the telly though so I might as well. Grin

Cupcake92 · 25/05/2015 20:17

No I've not tried it yet Lulu, going to wear it tomorrow from when I wake up so I can see if there's a difference when wearing it :) yes it's like a wide elastic belt that fits over the whole bump and it grows with ur bump which is good, it also has a thermal patch at the back which provides a heat spot to help with the lower back pain. I'm very much looking forward to wearing it Grin
Grin Lulu I hope u both manage to have some alone time tonight! It's been months since I've Dtd and I think it's great! I don't miss it at all Grin I think anyway I'd be to tired and achy to bother even if I could Grin

LuluJakey1 · 25/05/2015 19:35

Have you tried it yet Cupcake? Is it like a wide elastic support belt? I wonder what the Dr will suggest.

DH has been determinedly keeping DS busy today in the hope he'll go off to sleep easily tonight and we can have some time for us. You would think it was months since we DTD, it was only last Thursday. But he is on half term holiday and always more perky when he's off work. Grin

DS has had some weetabix today. Seemed to like it. He is ready for some solids I think and I just gave him a bit too see how it goes. He had a bit of apple puree as well and liked that.

Cupcake92 · 25/05/2015 18:48

Lulu I went out today and I've brought one from mothercare :) it's had some good reviews so thought I'd give it a go.
And Lulu I think it DH is right Grin they always seem to know when u want to be intimate haha it's like they do it on purpose.

Hope everyone is okay today!

I'm so glad my doctors appt is tomorrow because my back has been in agony today! All because I went to the shops this morning :( plus DS2 has been wiggling a lot today! :) first day I've felt quite a lot of movement!

LuluJakey1 · 25/05/2015 07:54

Morning Cupcake, you are right, I had to lie on my front to see the cuiropractor. Never thought of that. Have you googled those belts, they might be on the internet?

You should be proud of what you have achieved with DS. You sound like a lovely mum and will be for DS2 as well. And you were very strong getting the lazy lump out.

DH's plans were all in vain. DS did fall asleep on his walk but some friends called round with their little boy and were here until 6. So DH arrived home thinking his plan had worked- his face was a picture when he saw them. DS woke up and had a lovely time with their little boy but was completely over-tired and we had a really bad night with him. He cried for two hours when he went to bed. By the time he was settled we were in no mood for anything but lying in silence and sleep. DS woke up this morning early and DH got up and brought him back into our bed where he has had his breakfast and is playing with DH, a rattle and his Oleg Grub, laughing, chattering and, when DH blows raspberries on his tummy, shrieking.

DH said just before 'I think he knows and he doesn't want us having sex'

He has started holding his arms up to be cuddled or picked up (DS not DH) which is so sweet.

Hope everyone has had a quiet, peaceful night and lots of sleep.

Cupcake92 · 25/05/2015 07:13

Lill a bump support belt sounds perfect!! Where can i get one ? Mothercare I presume. And as for ur DP, men just rele don't get what it's like to look after a small baby 24/7 and fair enough they do have to go to work but looking after a baby is also work where u aren't able to sleep and constantly doing things all day. So I rele do think sharing feeds should happen every night whether it's a work night or not! I did it all with DS all by myself but H wasn't at work hahaa no no he was on his play station till 3 in the morning and then moaned when DS cried in the morning because he was tired and had no sleep! Well if he had come to bed and not gone on his play station he wouldn't be tired! Used to rele annoy me but I'm proud cuz it means I've raised DS all by myself and done everything for him and he's like the most amazing little boy ever! :) so there's always a bright side to these lonely nights feeding by urself. I'll have to do it with DS2 as well lol!

Lulu are u able to go to one of those back people (not attempting to spell it myself Grin ) when pregnant? Because I wouldn't be able to lie on my front if that's what u need to do? Grin I'm not sure what they do!
and i hope u all managed to get some sleep! :)

Siarie I'm glad u and DH share the night feeds :) and I'm glad he understands u have a harder job in the day! Lol not many men do!

Siarie · 24/05/2015 20:55

The point is, it's OUR baby not MY baby. Men have half of the responsibility for child care, it takes two after all.

Siarie · 24/05/2015 20:52

Oh lil that sucks! Me and DH share the feeds, we alternate who does the first feed of the night every day as for some reason whoever does the first feed is more tired the next day.

DH goes to work and then when he gets back he does some feeds and let's me have a break, sometimes I will do some solo parenting to let him go play some games for an hour or two.

He is looking after dd right now as I had been doing a lot today, she was sick all over me in a restaurant earlier. You DH needs a kick up the bum lil!

DH has always said I have a harder job than he does in the day now, this morning I took dd down so he could sleep but he does the same for me on weekends sometimes.

LuluJakey1 · 24/05/2015 13:09

Yes, he fell asleep Ducky and Cupcake, of course he did. He is hopeless Grin He tried it on this morning but DS woke up and scuppered that. He is now scheming to find a way to try to make DS have an afternoon sleep. Has suggested we take him along the sea front so the fresh air tires him out, or we put him in his baby bouncer. It won't work. DS is full of beans and not in any mood to sleep. Grin

He is taking him for a walk anyway and I am going to have a bit of peace.

Cupcake, you are sounding very fed up with the pain. Is there nothing that an osteopath or a cuiropractor could do - no sure I have spelled that right? A cuiropractor sorted my back out in one session after days of pain.

Lill- I don't think men understand how hard a baby is all day every day. DS has been much easier than some and I have not breastfed. It is still tiring and at times I just feel bone weary. DH is great but it still exhausts me and he will ask 'Have you done much today?' which shows he does not understand that even doing nothing with a baby is a full-time occupation.

Ducky23 · 24/05/2015 11:45

Lil, apparently a lot of babies refuse the nutramigen because of the taste! There's all tricks online to make it taste better, but ds loved it from the first bottle!!! I was told that once they start on it, it can take up to 2 weeks for the milk protein to leave the system so it might take a while to improve things.

And wtf is wrong with men and babies!!! They're so selfish! (Apart from the good eggs like mr lulu!) h has never ever done anything with ds especially during the night but he always moans every morning about how tired he is. Makes me so angry! And bf is especially exhausting (from what I've heard!) so he should help out! You do deserve a night out.

The buggering buggers!

Lillamyy1 · 24/05/2015 11:36

Wow! That was a long post Blush

Lillamyy1 · 24/05/2015 11:26

Got really annoyed at DP actually. I've been in the nursery with DS for the past several days - more than a week - ebf at night and not asking DP to help me change or wind him in the night, partly because DP has been working quite long shifts and partly because when we had DS in our room we just kept bickering about whose turn it was to sort him out when he woke up and who had had the least sleep etc and it was just making me really peed off with DP, mainly because he does this thing when he has to wake up where he grunts and groans and sighs and makes a song and dance about how tired he is, irrelevant of the fact that I'm sitting up for an hour at a time bf and all he has to do is change DS's nappy - which I often did anyway because I could to be bothered with DP huffing and groaning about having to get out of bed! I found it so irritating that's feelings toward DP have really changed for the worse... I don't even feel attracted to him atm and he keeps getting in my nerves Sad
Anyway because DP had been looking after DS all evening and DS was going to have bottles for the rest of the night I decided DS could sleep in our room just for the night and I asked DP to give
Him his bottles and change him etc as I'd been doing it every night for days and days and DP didn't have to get up early for work this morning and I thought I deserved a night's uninterrupted sleep.
But DS kept both of us awake most of the night anyway and woke up at 5 as usual and wouldn't go back to sleep and just kept making noise - just burbling mainly but he's so loud you can't sleep through it! And first DP handed me DS and the bottle as if we hadn't agreed it was his yur to do all the feeds and then when DS still didn't go to sleep after feeding DP was like, "why don't you take him downstairs for a while so I can have some sleep and then I'll have him while you sleep". This is after me commenting that I was so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open! I said "Why don't you take him down first? I haven't had a full night's sleep in days, this is the first interrupted sleep you've had for ages!" And he said "I've been going to work though". As if being a mum isn't a full time job! It's a non stop 24hour job, especially when you're doing the nights alone Angry I told him that and said I'd happily do a bar shift once in a while if it meant getting a full night's sleep and then he blamed me for being tired saying it was my fault for going out for the evening Shock I thought I deserved a night out after 10 months without but apparently not Hmm
I came down with DS at 8:30 (still not having slept since 5) and DP is still in bed Hmm I'm seriously considering going to my mum's this afternoon and staying for the night as I'm so annoyed with DP I don't want to be around him today...

Lillamyy1 · 24/05/2015 11:02

Cupcake, I just remembered seeing a bump support belt for SPD... Worth a look? And maybe one of those full body pregnancy pillows? I had one in hospital and it helped a lot. I can't believe you're 17 wks already! Nearly halfway there Grin
Ducky I didn't get anything else for DS's wind yet, he had really nasty diahrea (sp??) yesterday morning so I decided to give him a week or so without anything extra in his diet and see if that helps.
Having said that, he had a couple of bottles of the Nutramigen last night as I was out for a friend's birthday and when I came back I couldn't bf as I'd had a couple of cocktails and a beer! He was fine with the formula but I tested the temperature by putting some on my hand and licked it off and my god it tastes terrible!! I'm guessing babies don't have a very developed sense of taste?
Now I'm sitting here with the electric breast pump as my bbs got sooo uncomfortably full and DS isn't hungry enough to empty them Blush

Cupcake92 · 24/05/2015 08:51

Oh gosh Ducky! That's a long time without a decent nights sleep! Shock I have this all to come again Grin

Ducky23 · 24/05/2015 08:43

Haha lulu was he asleep? Have you decided what your plans are with having another?

Cupcake that has gone fast! Grin I remember those days of the bad sleeping because of the pain Confused not nice! I thought the other day I haven't had a full nights sleep since about august last year! Crazy!

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 24/05/2015 07:47

Oh Lulu that made me laugh Grin did he drop to sleep?

Worst night I've had last night. The pillow in my legs isn't doing much to help anymore :( my hips/pelvis were so painful! And every time I rolled over the bottom of my back clicked! Eugh I can tell this is going to kill me off when I'm about 30 weeks pregnant lol Grin it deffo feels exactly like how I was when pg with DS.

LuluJakey1 · 23/05/2015 22:55

DH has just come back from the pub. He didn't go along there until 9 oclock. He has had two pints and he is all romantic and after a couple of kisses announced we are going to bed and having wild sex. Hmm

He's gone to the loo and I have heard him go along to our bedroom. Bet you he lies down on the bed and falls fast asleep! Two pints!

I am watching Elizabeth 1 on tv. It's good. I must have missed it when it was first shown. I think I'll stay down here with Jeremy Irons. Grin

Cupcake92 · 23/05/2015 21:17

Oh gosh Ducky I didn't realise there was that much Grin I'm deffo getting some infacol In before baby is here. Was a life saver with DS.
Aw thank u Ducky :) yeah I'm deffo gonna wait till I think he's deffo ready.

Can't believe I'm 17 weeks pregnant already, seems to be going fast!

Ducky23 · 23/05/2015 19:07

There's infacol, colief, dentinox colic drops and gripe water but I think that's it (when ds was bad with his cmpi I tried everything!)

Yea I have no idea how you would know if they can't tell you! Don't let your friends pressure you cupcake, you've obviously done a fab job of raising ds so far so just trust your instincts Smile

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 23/05/2015 18:54

Lill Ducky mentioned gripe water that's a good one to try. I'm not sure if there's anything else out there Confused

Aw bless him Ducky! He's growing up so fast :) it's crazy, I can remember u waiting to know when u were going to be induced lol.

See potty training I'd like DS to be able to say he needs the potty. Otherwise how am I menna know? My friends are rele pressurising me to do it now tho and keep saying there's no way I will be able to potty train DS when I've got another child around and that if I don't do it now he'll end up in nappies till he's 4. It's hard enough being pregnant and looking after a toddler let alone potty training at the same time Grin

I had a look at lots of baby clothes today! :) going back on pay day to buy it all! I can't wait! :)

Bearsinmotion · 23/05/2015 12:10

I've also heard with potty training it's much quicker if you do it when they decide themselves. We are emphasising how big girls use potties or toilets so she'll want to do it herself.

Ah, the joys of weaning! I think I've blocked out those memories!
