Sparkly and Tessiegirl what fantastic news, I'm thrilled to bits for both of you xx

auxiliaryauroch · 11/04/2015 16:51

tessie and sparkly, sitting in a tree, having a natter, having a pee, days post ovulation and what do we see, a couple of smashing fab bfps! Hoo-oooraaaay!

Nomio230 · 11/04/2015 16:48

Butter, that is a genius idea-pants with a built in foofometer! I would definitely buy them!

auxiliaryauroch · 11/04/2015 16:47

sparkly I knew iiiiii-iiit! Didn't you have that fab implantation dip? Omg omg omg!Grin

Butterchunks · 11/04/2015 16:11

juney I know, 38 days was a wanker of a month maybe I just didnt ov fully? This last month was more normal (so anyone want to place bets on will happen this month?) If things keep being wonky I might ask for some blood tests, I think I will wait until we've done 6 months TTC at least before getting too carried away thinking that I'm broken. Hows plan C coming on?

tessie congratulations!

pixa DP and I were trying to invent some sort of foofometer t'other night. I was moaning about having to remember to take temp, not being able to breath out of my nose in the mornings whilst taking temp, mouth breathing etc. I was trying to get him to design some sort of fitbit stylee pants device that would take my temp for me while I snooze, not sure he was listening though. Wanna come with us to dragons den?

sparkly That certainly does look promising, a line's a line innit? I can understand why you are worried, can you get booked in with a gp first thing on monday or call nhs direct?

Yokil its nearly +ve but not quite yet, maybe try doing one later this evening. When they are +ve they are definitely as dark or darker than the control line. Keep this one and compare it to the next few opks, hopefully you should see it getting darker then maybe dropping away again. Get thee to bed/sofa/kitchen table soon though, have some spunk ready and waiting in situ for ov Wink

Butterchunks · 11/04/2015 16:06

Sorry I keep doing mega post, I have stupid sleep patterns and end up being half a day behind and playing catch up!

DaisyDuckSW15 Thank you for posting your concerns. I think the fact that you are worried about it means that your DHs drinking IS a problem (as is the fact that you don't feel as if you can talk to him about it). I think TTC raises many issues between a couple and sometimes the act of trying to make a new person can make you see your dp a different way. You have to assume that any behaviour now is going to be carried on to when you are pregnant, when you have a baby and when you are raising your child. Yes, people do and can change but you need to think about whether or not you are willing for your DP to still be drinking like this in the future, how it will affect you and his children, not just how it will affect his sperm. I had an alcoholic parent (notice how I say HAD, they died when I was a young teen from alcoholism), the effects of seeing the drinking has had on me and the effects it had on the other parent are immensely damaging and irreversible. If you are worried about his drinking then speak up, there are loads of different ways to get help and there are many people who successfully changed their lifestyles and manage any alcohol issues they may or may not have. Just please do NOT avoid saying anything, for yourself and any future children, because you are worried about being a nag. I'm sorry if this is very blunt, I'm not trying to scare you I just want you to realise there is a very real consequence, and that you should do everything you can to avoid it. I hope you get some help and support in whatever you and your dp do

Baker47 Af showing up did get me down a bit, but I have treated myself to a few little things in Asda last night, Ive been doing slimming world recently (lost 1st so far) but gave myself the freedom to have some pizza (Asda pizza that you build yourself is amazeballs). What kind of thing do you do when you need a treat?

RE Clearblue pots, I put mine in a quality street tin (so the wee wasn't visible to anyone popping in and out of fridge). I also just told some family members who were visiting (also had to do the clear out of opks, preseed, vitamins and various sex toys (buzz buzz Grin) that normally are just lying around my house) that I was a volunteer for a clinical trial I found an ad for on internet, where women of childbearing age give wee samples in return for high street vouchers. Didnt mention TTC, ovulation tests or clearblue, but was ready to make up something about "I dont think they are looking for volunteers this month" if anyone had asked to for details to join themselves

Nomio230 · 11/04/2015 15:55

Eeeeeeeeek, Sparkly! You have done it! I am so, so pleased for you. I understand why you are worried, but I hope there is a little bit of happiness there as well. Lots of women have spotting, but still go on to have happy, healthy pregnancies. Flowers

Tessie, yay! Massive congratulations on your octuplets! They were really strong lines on your tests.

I have been swimming again this morning & ache like mad now! I am so out of shape at the minute. I got DH to join too & he came with me. Smile

Beansprout30 · 11/04/2015 15:43

Congratulations to tessie too, I must have missed your post

Rainy34 · 11/04/2015 15:41

Just popped on here and see Tessie and Sparkly have got there BFP!!! well done girls i am over the moon for you both!!, wishing you both a happy and healthy nine months!!!

Beansprout30 · 11/04/2015 15:35

Hey ladies, just catching up with the news ive missed since ive been on holiday. Probably be here all night trying to read back.

Sparkly wow, congratulations to you chick, I really hope this sticks for you. Wonder if it was that cheeky shag which did it?

I'm rather annoyed with my body, haven't ovulated yet and am on cd24, we dtd loads whilst on holiday so this is so frustrating as dh will be back at work Monday and difficult to keep up with eod shagging

DizzyNorthernBird · 11/04/2015 15:32

That's Ok juney, af arrived on Monday but I was relieved tbh as I thought I hadn't ovulated last month and was worried this would make af late, which would have a knock on effect on this month's ovulation. DP and I are both on annual leave this month which means lots of shagging, so I need to make sure nothing delays it this month!! Grin

oyster you just reminded me of that scene from friends where Rachel answers the door in her wedding dress to 'Joshoooua' and says "I doooo"!
Cue a very frightened Joshua making a very sharp exit.... Grin

frogbubbles · 11/04/2015 15:31

Ah lovely charity workers, never heard them being called chuggers!! How's the dress looking oyster, did you say 21 days until the big day?

Oyster I agree absolutely no smooching or head. Sure I read somewhere saliva kills the spermies. I could be wrong though.

Oysterbabe · 11/04/2015 15:29

Yep he's all sorted. Almost everything is done. We just need to finish making the favours. We have our final meeting with the venue and photographer on Wednesday. I need to buy some new honeymoon clothes, possibly also some kind of nice lingerieGrin

ThePug · 11/04/2015 15:27

Oyster exciting times! I hope this lovely weather sticks around for you. Do you have much left to organise? Is your husband-to-be all sorted with his outfit etc?

Yokyil I'd say that is negative but only just. Keep your opks and right the CD on them so you can compare. I only ever tested once a day, but keep going a few days after you think it's gone positive to confirm it isn't still getting darker. Looks like tomorrow might be positive for you.

Sparkly I forgot to say - maybe it was the sexysex!

GlitteryLipgloss1 · 11/04/2015 15:23

Sparkly!!!!! Yes!!!!!!!!! ??

Oysterbabe · 11/04/2015 15:01

I am excited and the dress is looking pretty good! The stick on bra seems to work ok and the shoes make it the perfect length, exactly floor length. I still can't really picture how the whole ensemble is going to look; with hair and make up done. Hair trial is next Monday.

juneybean · 11/04/2015 14:59

I use digitals every morning then once I get my smiley face I use the strip tests every time I pee that day, I usually get my darker line about 3pm ish

OP posts:
Yokyil · 11/04/2015 14:58

Yup me too Sad Juney do you test twice a day or is the once sufficient? Ta Smile

juneybean · 11/04/2015 14:56

Yokyil I'd say negative!

Yokyil · 11/04/2015 14:55

DizzyMerry · 11/04/2015 14:54

Lol at oyster and purple!!! Casually swishing around in your wedding dress and answering the door?! He must be regretting that one!

DizzyMerry · 11/04/2015 14:51

It's understandable sparkly but we are all rooting for you. Stay positive, I know easier said than done but you are a tower of strength and this will turn out well for you. I wish you all the very best lovely Flowers

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 11/04/2015 14:50

Lol Oyster had them knock at our house once asking for donations- offered them my two dogs - that got rid off them Grin (the people not the dogs!)
