Who wants to tell me why I should drink pineapple juice and eat Brazil nuts to help with implantation rather than just pop a selenium supplement? And who wants to tell me what marvellous things I can eat or drink to try and keep my progesteone levels up post ov to support an eggy? really hoping it is goats cheese, sushi and gin

auxiliaryauroch · 13/04/2015 14:42

melon! What does the gp say?
dizzy sorry about the results but also fab about results! Much better to know what one is up against and what you can do about it than just shagging in the dark. Endlessly.

GlitteryLipgloss1 · 13/04/2015 14:33

Thinking of you sparkly. Hope you gave Trunchbull a verbal what for. Keep hold of every test. If the line is darker than you must still be pregnant. Please try to remain as calm as you can, stress wont help at all (silly shit to say I know)

Oysterbabe · 13/04/2015 14:24

We really aren't doing well at the moment are we Sad Hugs all round.

Did you DTD on Saturday Yokil ? Hopefully it'll be enough.
I'm pretty certain I oved last night too, had some right sided twinges and a temp rise this morning. I still might DTD again tonight before resting him to be sure. He's getting pretty tired though.

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 14:15

Sorry you're still hanging on Melon Did you contact your GP in the end?

sparkly I hope you were taken seriously by the nurse and if they or your GP could do a beta and it shows positive then you could be seen at the epu?

I didn't know of that ivf rule - seems silly - especially if the child is from a previous relationship!

I just checked mine for info and looks like they only help if you haven't conceived after 2 years of regular unprotected intercourse or 12 cycles of artificial insemination using partner’s sperm or 6 cycles of donor sperm.

Am I right in thinking they would still investigate things but without offering treatment, or not?

MelonMelon · 13/04/2015 14:08

Thanks Sparkly, if you tested this morning and it was darker i am wondering if you are still pregnant , I'm not trying to get your hopes up but.....my friend has just given birth to her daughter and she was bleeding bright red blood on week 6 , week 8 she thought she was having a miscarriage as she was bleeding so heavily, as i say i dont want to get your hopes up but maybe if you might still be in with a chance

De-lurking to send love to sparkly. Flowers for you my love. I hope you get some answers

purdiepie · 13/04/2015 13:52

mummy you can't get free fertility treatment like iui or ivf if you already have a child. I had to go private simply because DH already had a son, even though I was childless!

Sorry that so many of us are having a bit of a rubbish time recently. We do need some good news don't we?

Not much news at all from me, I'm afraid. I have about 3 more days of Norethisterone to go and then hopefully will get a withdrawal bleed after that, then that's when things can get moving again with more blood tests and the HSG. I did have a test for rubella immunity this morning, which the clinic have requested, and hopefully DH will take a sperm sample in on Wednesday, so hoping to have more news in the next couple of weeks. Until then, I'll be lurking and occasionally popping in to say hello and have a catch-up. x x x x

Thinking of you sparkly FlowersCake

chopsface · 13/04/2015 12:27

Great news for me that your dh has a low morphology too tessie

Sorry about progesterone merry :-( what was your amh when you had it done before? Good luck with the referral, whether nhs or private. mummy most places won't allow you to have ivf on the nhs if one of you already has a child, my trust does allow it however. And that's if one of you is the parent not both of you.

Af still staying away! Wish it would come so I could phone the clinic and see where I stand with regards to having iui if I'm going on holiday. Still got cramps which I'm sure are stronger but not enough for pain relief.

Good luck with the call sparkly x

Thinking of you sparkly Flowers

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 12:09

Sparkly I hoping the clotting stops - the lines getting darker must be a good thing?

Dizzy I am so sorry about your results.

Purdie What don't you get help with if you already have one child? Any fertility help?

Tessie thanks for the stats!

DizzyMerry · 13/04/2015 12:02

Spinning she didn't say how long it would take but I can ask her that if I do go to see her.

Purdie I hear what you're saying, I really do but I would much rather try something else before going for IVF.
I do have a DD but my progesterone back then was 11 so I don't know what is going on. Don't know the AMH level but they were said to be low.

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 11:55

Merry, I'm sorry to hear of your results. Did she give you an idea of how long the referral would take? If not I would try and find out. If you've got the money then I would have a private consultation and get the ball rolling. You can get these very quickly. You'd need to check that you can move between private/nhs treatment but I think it's usually fine and often you end up seeing the same person anyway!

Tessie, great stats and interesting that your dh's morphology was low. Always good to hear of a bfp following on from that.

Sparkly, make sure you keep your tests. If necessary you could
Post them to your nurse. Thinking of you xx

purdiepie · 13/04/2015 11:53

Sparkly, tell the nurse you want beta HcG bloods doing TODAY whilst the line is still there.

purdiepie · 13/04/2015 11:51

I know it sounds harsh love, but if your eggs are poor and you're not ovulating I would go straight to IVF.

purdiepie · 13/04/2015 11:50

You can't increase them. How low is your amh Dizzy? Do you have a child already? I think you do in which case you won't get NHS assisted conception.

DizzyMerry · 13/04/2015 11:35

Ok, so just had a call from my GP. My progesterone level is 17 and she said it should be 30 and as is very low she doesn't think I am ovulating Sad she also said there is no point in them doing day 3 bloods as a cause for infertility has been identified. She said I need to see her and she will then do a referral to fertility clinic and DH needs to have SA. NHS will help us up to clomid level and then decide whether it not they will assist further.

I'm now not sure what to do! Should I wait for referral or go private? I know nobody can answer that but just want some ideas. Any thoughts on how else I can increase my progesterone levels?

Oysterbabe · 13/04/2015 11:18

Interesting about the laptop Tessie. I worry about DP's balls getting too warm in those tight little boxers he wears.

tessiegirl · 13/04/2015 11:16

Hang in there Sparkly Flowers

Oh lovely, a ball night!! Can't wait to catch up later Smile

tessiegirl · 13/04/2015 11:13

Here are my stats which I so hope could maybe help someone else on here...

This was our 6th cycle trying although it was probably the 3rd I would say was really good timing dtd wise. We dtd on days 11,16,17, 18 and 26. I think I ov'd on CD18 although FF has settled on CD16 so who knows?!

I used Onestep ic's and backed them up with Clearblue Dual Hormone opks. Although funnily enough, this cycle I had to rely on only the ic's as I had run out of CB ones!

I started taking folic acid and vit d this cycle and also took Robitussin cough medicine in the lead up to ov to help with cm. We also used Preseed every time we dtd, although only up to the '1' on the applicator. I also drank pineapple juice after ov.

DH had a SA back in October and was told that everything was fine apart from that he had 3% morphology so he has been taking Wellman Conception vits ever since the test. He would also put a cushion under his laptop and would drink maybe on average 4/5 beers a week?

Not much info there but I would love to think it helped someone else... Smile
