Glad you were listened to sparkly I'm routing for you here too!

If af isn't here tomorrow I'll do a test, promise!

purdiepie · 13/04/2015 16:45

Sparkly! Hurrah for recorded pregnancy and beta bloods! You are most definitely pregnant and those stupid bastards are going to have to sort you out one way or another. Ectopic is not a nice thought but I agree it's seeming like a possibility. You are already steeling yourself for the worst...now let's have a peek at a possibility of a healthy, functioning (but naughty) embryo on there! Wow! Thick, healthy lining. Hmm....what now? Let's hope you're just a prolific pregnancy bleeder (there's plenty of them all over the pregnancy forums here on MN). I'm just so happy that you are recorded now as officially pregnant. Ugh. Wednesday going to come slooooowly isn't it? Lots of prayers, my darling...lots of prayers.

Oooh, by the way, when you let us know what your beta result is this evening I can find out for you what it's supposed to be for this point past ovulation. That's if you want me to Hmm Thanks

dojo123 · 13/04/2015 16:25

sparkly so glad you were able to go in and get a scan and see the consultant even if only briefly. Everything is firmly crossed that you little bean is clinging on where it should be and the the bleeding does not mean you're losing it. Lots of hugs to you and you DH sound like exactly the support you need though you know you also have a bus load of cheerleaders here for you too.

eskimo chocolate chip here!

loopylou1984 · 13/04/2015 16:24

Sparkly - I'm so glad she was nice to you. Hope you're doing okay, am keeping everything crossed for you Smile Xx

GlitteryLipgloss1 · 13/04/2015 16:18

Thanks for checking back in Sparkly, have been thinking of you lots wondering how you are getting on. You go girl! Don't ever be fobbed off when you know something isn't quite right! Bless your DH he sounds lovely.

Have faith in yourself, try try try not to stress, get some proper lovely rest and try and let yourself become distracted. I am glad they pulled their socks up a bit.

Lets sit tight and see what Wednesday brings, in the mean time you take it easy

Sweets27 · 13/04/2015 16:09

Oh sparkly how exhausting. Well done for standing your ground with your lovely supportive DH. At least you have had a bit more light shed on the situation - I am sure the wait til Weds will be really hard, and totally understand you not wanting to get your hopes up but I've got FX for you nonetheless. Flowers

Sparkly123 · 13/04/2015 16:07

Thanks Mummy I wish I could help re ovulation. But I don't know if gp will do bloods after cycle three. We got them before TTC but that was because we were doing AI. It's important to know if you are OVing obviously for TTC so if your temps are saying no and you are taking then correctly I would maybe monitor this cycle and if nothing again could you maybe afford a blood test outwith NHS? I can't think of any other solution.. I understand if your chart is doing nothing every month that you don't want to keep trying for no reason.. So you should know as soon as you can, sorry if you have already said this my heads a bit muddled but is every cycle the same??

Baker47 · 13/04/2015 16:04

Sparkly thanks for updating - I've been thinking about you lots today. I'm so glad you got to go in and talk through everything - really hope it will provide some insight into everything and good that it will all be noted in your records too.

Keeping everything crossed for you and sending lots of positive thoughts for the meantime Flowers

Pikz · 13/04/2015 16:04

Sparkly am so pleased you got the time you deserve

I bled with DS not clots but quite a bit. Apparently was just a bedding in bleed. Am crossing everything for you.

Mummy if it helps this cycle I finally ov on cd28!!! No idea why I can only think my bad tube tried to give it a go and failed and the other side kicked in. Now 1dpo so will have a 40 day cycle. Have started temping to try and work it all out. I have just done eod since cd11 and will keep going til mid week just in case

MelonMelon · 13/04/2015 16:03

Yes if you phone on the day you can get an emergency appointment but it's not an emergency In my eyes! It's a long time to wait but I don't know if there's anything they can do to make my AF come back so whether I go tomorrow or in 2 weeks won't make much difference?

DizzyMerry · 13/04/2015 16:01

I'm pleased that you stood your ground sparkly and it's about time they started taking this seriously. You and DH make a great team and he sounds so lovely. Get all the rest you can and look after yourself, you're having an exhausting time mentally and physically. I really hope you get your answers. Sending Flowers and positive vibes.

You asked about increasing clomid but I'm not on this. I'm just dithering now and can't decide what to do from one minute to the next re NHS and private!

ThePug · 13/04/2015 15:58

Sparkly I am so pleased the nurse gave you the time you deserved and the investigations that were required at this stage. As you say, only time will tell the outcome but I am so relieved that you weren't fobbed off.

eskimo Grin tennis ball! I believe 'grain of rice' would be about right for me!

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 15:48

Sparkly what an exhausting sounding day. I hope you get some good news on Wednesday but it is very confusing where the blood is coming from if not the lining!

Sending positive vibes your way - it sounds like you have a great hubby btw! And I am very pleased the Nurse was far less of a witch this time!!

Sparkly123 · 13/04/2015 15:47

melon thanks. Do you not have an emergency drop in at your surgery? That's such a long wait sweetheart Flowers

MelonMelon · 13/04/2015 15:43

Thanks for taking the time to update us sparkly. Im crossing my fingers this will turn out ok for you Smile

yoilyl yep 29th April that's the next one I could get

Sparkly123 · 13/04/2015 15:40

Right my update- here I go with my woes again!!!

So phoned trunchbull at 11.10..(you will soon see why I have told you the exact time!) I explained the situation to her.. She said "well it could be that you are just getting your period"
Eh Hi love, Obvs that's what's now happening only it's taking a fertilised egg with it!!!.. She totally disregarded the positive test. She then asked what my cycle was like last month and I explained the black stuff and that I had already called her last month and spoken to her!!! So she then asked what pain and bleeding was like now etc. And then "I have patients this afternoon but if you come in at 11.45 I'll do a scan".. This was now 11.17 and it takes me 30mins to get to hospital! I explained that and got an abrupt "well if you can't get here you will need to go to epu and wait"
So phoned husband and he bolted back from work and we got there for 11.50!

Got there and met a different trunchbull! (The same nurse but a different attitude) She was all "come in pet" . She gave me 55 minutes! She was quite understanding.. A lot better than usual. At the beginning she tried to fob me off with the "false positive" nonsense as I took my test with me- it's a strong line today- so dh said we had four the same positive and that he didn't agree they could all be wrong. She did an NHS test and it came up faintly positive but not as strong as mine. The scan showed that my lining is still thick and there are no clots in it... So the obvious question is- where is the blood coming from? She then said maybe it was my cervix or from somewhere else in the area of the lining. She also said my bowel was contracting a lot and that could be causing such severe pain at my periods- interesting! She showed us the scan and it was clear to see my lining was thick and intact. So eventually. She took beta bloods, I get the result by 6pm and then if hcg there I have to repeat on Wednesday. She said that if my test is stronger today from Saturday it would point to a continuing pregnancy and that some women bleed a lot and have clots in early pregnancy alongside cramps. The consultant then came in which I thought was very good of her in between patients and pretty much reiterated what Trunchpants said.

There's lots of possible outcomes, she discussed ectopic and can't rule it out as scan only shows so far. There's the possibility I'm one of these woman who bleeds during pregnancy. Then there is the chemical/early mc. I'm absolutely not holding hope. I don't want to set myself up for a fall. Since I had that scan there has been a lot of red blood so to me, I think that's it coming now. I hope the hcg shows so it is noted for moving forward and maybe I can talk them into progesterone although if my lining is thick I don't see how that theory makes sense anymore??? It's a waiting game now. Blood results tonight then onwards to Wednesday as I imagine surely there will be some hcg in there?!? If not then something is def up with all these positive tests!

So that's me. She told me to go home and rest and if any intense pains and constant heavy bleeding in meantime to go straight to hospital. I'm not gonna lie, I have a slight worry about ectopic now given that my tests getting stronger but I just need to try and block that out.
Sorry for overtaking the thread with this but I know you all wanted and update and thought I would give you all the details!!

Yokyil · 13/04/2015 15:32

Oyster yep DTD sat night-after midnight so just into early hrs of Sunday, and Friday night - will go for one more after work but that'll be our lot - he's knackered Hmm lol!
Thanks Spinning & Sparkly - sparkly hope your trip to the hospital went as well as could be expected.
Melon is your doc appointment not til the end of the month?

MelonMelon · 13/04/2015 15:16

mummy and aux Seeing GP on the 29th

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 14:58

Sparkly I havn't had any tests yet - only on cycle 3. DP has agreed to eod for the rest of this cycle just incase - he is annoyed as a few days ago I switched back to pregnacare which delayed ov on cycle one. My post ov temps are poor so Dr Purdey was waiting to see if cycle 3's temps were as rubbish as the other 2 but I already know my GP is not interested in temps and would make me wait a full year or even 2!

Sorry if this next bit upsets anyone, it is not intended to - When I got my unplanned BFP with DS so young I had this overpowering feeling that I should continue with the pregnancy incase in the future I could not have more children. It sounds crazy but I have this gut feeling that we will struggle. I try to block it out but it still niggles.

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 14:57

Yokyil, fx for dtd tonight!

Oyster, 1 more for luck sounds like a good idea.

Melon, how bloody frustrating. Have you been to the doc?

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 14:55

Sparkly, You actually went to the hospital, that's good news. hope you got on ok. I've been looking out for an update.

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 14:51

Aux, I really don't believe the pineapple thing but it's actually pineapple core and not juice. I don't know why but I'm sure if you google you'll find it. As I said, I think it's a load of rubbish Smile
Selenium tablets are good, stick with thoseSmile
Sparkly has a list of what should be eaten and when, maybe she'll post it when she's feeling up to it. I try to follow a healthy diet all the time. Plenty of leafy green veg is good.
That really wasn't very helpful at all, sorry!

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 14:51

I bookmarked a page the other day on pineapple which said:

Several minerals in pineapple, including selenium, supposedly contribute to improving the uterine lining. A cup of pineapple juice contains just 0.2 micrograms of selenium, a tiny percentage of the 55 micrograms required for adults over age 19. The food highest in selenium, Brazil nuts, contains 544 micrograms per ounce. Before you switch your food allegiance to Brazil nuts to help you get pregnant, consider that more than 400 micrograms of selenium per day can cause selenosis, which can lead to mild nerve damage, fatigue and irritability. Most adults in the United States gets an adequate amount of selenium in their diet; in countries where the soil contains little selenium, deficiencies can develop.

Sweets27 · 13/04/2015 14:48

aux - me! Got my BFP after starting to drink pineapple juice and eat Brazil nuts, which frankly I think should be sufficient scientific evidence for you. tessie mentioned she drink pineapple juice too.

(Absolutely no idea what the scientific reason is behind the pineapple juice - is it selenium like the brazil nuts?)
