Yeah sorry sparkly was just at GP, I feel better now , did have abut bubble with oh, don't know how he puts up with me,

It's such a mystery that the lining looked perfect , I'm hoping that it's nothing sinister , hopefully by Thursday the spotting will have stopped and it will be ok for you but if it is not we are all hear for you and I know you will get your baby in the end, x

cremedecacao · 13/04/2015 19:05

Good luck with Trunchballs on Thursday! Good idea to take DH.

I have a burning question.

I have a smear test at 11 tomorrow morning. Just went to the loo and, low and behold, found loads of EWCM! I am due to ovulate on Friday so didn't even bother to take an ov test, but now I feel we should DTD just in case! Can you dtd before a smear test? What do I do?!

DizzyMerry · 13/04/2015 19:04

I have sort of narrowed it down sparkly. The obvious ones are either go with the NHS or go Private. However, the other option is to go the NHS route whilst continuing with the reflexology. I only say this because this is the first cycle I got a positive opk so that's a step forward and my reflexologist does have knowledge in this area and works on hormonal imbalance. I was thinking of taking maca but I'm just so scared of making things worse so it's a case of working through the 3 options and deciding on one.

Pixa · 13/04/2015 19:03

Not strictly TTC related but my new shoes and dress arrived today for DHs birthday spa weekend. I have no doubt that there will be lots of DTD going on. Grin

Bring on the SMEP! Grin

Sparkly123 · 13/04/2015 18:53

Boris oh my. 65!! Unreal!

ibeka on Thursday dh and I will battle it out with the truncher and the consultant if necessary. I think from their point of view though they prob won't give in as it's NHS policy.

Creme Pixa Pikz Rainy Daisy thanks so much. So kind

Rainy sorry I totally thought you were off to fertility today! So it's gp yeh? These are great steps forward!! So pleased for you! It's true.. So much can be done if prog is the issue so stay positive lovely. Hope you feel better after the app!

Spins yeh the lining was thick at scan but then blood all came heavier after that? Plus.. Where did clots etc come from if lining was still in tact? So confused! How are you doing?

mummy that sounds a nice little pick me up!!! Glad you got some comfort food! Can't beat it.

Dizzymerry will see how she is on Thursday... Urgh! Thanks lovely. Always remember your story of that consultant! Terrible! Hope you are ok. Have you talked to dh and thought of a plan for going forward?

DizzyMerry · 13/04/2015 18:51

That is so frustrating sparkly. Trunchbull has done a complete u turn, what the hell is wrong with some of these 'healthcare professionals'. I would also say put in a complaint or ask to speak to somebody else. I would actually put in a complaint as you have had issues with her previously and she seems hell bent on proving you wrong and her own theories correct. You don't deserve to be treated like this, nobody does. ((Hugs))

Ibeka I'm sorry your experience with private treatment wasn't positive. It must have been awful to deal with that Flowers I have to say my experience of the NHS has always been positive. Though my consultant did give me a shock once when he asked why he operated on me Confused err, hello!!!

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 18:46

Went for a nice walk with DS tonight then ruined the calorie burning by getting cod & chips. Was feeling grumpy so dp took me to get yummy food!

tessiegirl · 13/04/2015 18:34

Sparkly So bloody frustrating, when I saw your first post I was so happy for you, then I saw the second one and I feel so angry, I can't imagine how you must be feeling. I am keeping everything firmly crossed that come Thursday you can prove Trunchball wrong...

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 18:26

Oh and Sparkly, you mentioned a private consultation. I think this would be a very good idea. Do some research and find somewhere that you're 100% happy with and see what they say.

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 18:23

Melon, that's quite some time to wait for your appointment!

Sparkly, what is wrong with Trunchbull?!! Your appointment at the hospital sounded quite helpful and she was sympathetic and listened to you. The thick lining is good news. But what's with the phone call......you need to phone back and speak to somebody else, her senior? And ask that your previous chemical is added to your notes. You're a sensible woman and she should be listening to you and not disregarding it simply because you didn't pee on one of their tests! Taking a break is not an option, you are right when you ask what this will achieve as without further investigation this could sadly happen again.
I will continue to hope and keep everything crossed that this bean will stick for you.

Rainy, good news that you're being referred, remember knowledge is power. Always best to know what you are dealing with and then you can start to improve things. One step closer to your baby.

Ibeka, pleased you spoke to someone helpful. Hopefully your faint line will have gone by the end of the week.

Mummy, please try not to worry. Positive thinkingSmile

Pixa · 13/04/2015 18:17

Boris she has already, reportedly, got 13 children.

DaisyDuckSW15 · 13/04/2015 18:11

sparkly hugs. Well done for pushing to be seen this morning. It's good to know they took you seriously. I don't really understand all the technical aspects, but really hope you're staying hopeful. Good luck xxx

Rainy34 · 13/04/2015 18:01

Sparkly I can't believe that they are not taking you miscarriage in January is number one, total disgrace, hoping that its not a chemical, fingers crossed for you

I saw my lovely doctor and she is going to refer us to fertility clinic , i have to have the day 3 and 21 day blood tests, she said i can do the 7 day before period this month , to help get the ball rolling, she said that some women can spot and it may not affect us getting pregnant but it cold be my progesterone lowering and if it is there is lots of things they can do, DH has to do a sperm sample too, she also said to do lots of sex

cremedecacao · 13/04/2015 17:54

Sparkly how frustrating!!! Perhaps ring GP and see if they can do anything? They MUST be a way of getting January's chemical recorded, surely? Seems wrong! If you can afford it, perhaps investigations could happen privately. I have absolutely no idea about costs though.

Pixa · 13/04/2015 17:47

Oh Sparkly, I really wish I was more knowledgeable about this. I would also consider trying to go above Trunchbull.

Praying that you have some clear answers soon.

ibeka · 13/04/2015 17:44

sparkles just realised we cross-posted - can't believe the change! Who is 'above' Trunchbull? Can you write an official letter explaining and asking your records be changed to reflect the MC in January? Can your GP be of any help? Not sure if you're in a rural or busy area but are you confined to that hospital trust or can you get a second opinion from another?

ibeka · 13/04/2015 17:34

mummy not nearly as ridiculous as I frequently am! x

Pikz · 13/04/2015 17:33

Mummy I had several surges but knew it wasn't proper ov and then cd 26 and 27 very dark opk ewcm and my normal ov pain. It was just a case of being patient.

Sparkly how stupid. Am crossing everything and hoping you prove her wrong on Wednesday or Thursday

Hairstylisttoboris · 13/04/2015 17:23

Did you see this?! bbc.in/1aJOH8p

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 17:22

ibeka I'm sure I'm being ridiculous. I will try to stay calm. Thanks.

Sparkly123 · 13/04/2015 17:15

Ibeka great step forward for you. So glad they were helpful and that they are keeping on top of things by monitoring you now. I had wondered about Autumn too I hope she is ok

ibeka · 13/04/2015 17:10

sparkles so glad you had a more caring experience this time! I for one am going to go with the theory you are just a profile pregnancy bleeder, as purdles so eloquently puts it. I know one story does not scientific evidence make but my boss's wife bled through her whole pregnancy. She actually went to the doc because she had had a two week period, turned out she was 4 weeks pregnant.

Dizzy sorry for AF and also the test results. My instinct would be to find out how long for NHS appointment and if not too bad do that. That might be because my only experience of private healthcare was the abominable sonographer who was so callous about my MC. I'm sure there are wonderful practitioners so if NHS is going to be a long wait and you can afford it, may be worth looking at.

night, so sorry AF got you :-( How annoying, when you're feeling ill anyway. Re. temping, I am also a night time pee-er. I set myself the following rules based on a 7am alarm: If I woke before 4am I went for a pee. If I woke after 6 I just temped early. If I woke between 4 and 6 I lay very still ignoring the need to pee and made myself go back to sleep. I got a beautiful looking chart and even seemed to train myself not to wake up needing to pee so much!!

mummy I am the complete opposite - desperate to get away from the chain shops and the hustle of London and into the middle of nowhere! I hope this doesn't sound wrong but... I think I lot of people with unexpected BFPs when young feel that way - please don't take it as a 'sign' that things won't work out again. The reason docs don't take charts seriously is because, although they can be a great help for us obsessive types, we are all so different that they can be confusing or inaccurate. You may just be a person whose temps fluctuate slightly differently or whose temps fluctuate too much/quickly to spot a reliable pattern easily.

bakers what cake did you make?!

My news is that I rang the EPU. She said as it is very faint to keep checking and she'll ring me at the end of the week to see where we are. She asked me lots of questions about how I'm feeling and about any signs of infection etc. and didn't seem to worried. I don't know how everyone at that EPU manages to be such lovely caring people when their job must be do depressing!

Anyone heard from Autumn? I'm wondering how her midwife appointment went and not seen her since the previous thread...

Sparkly123 · 13/04/2015 17:03

Ps Purds she also said ectopic very unlikely at such low beta so that's a relief Star

Sparkly123 · 13/04/2015 17:01

Hi loves!

Thanks so much for all the wise words and support you are all fantastic.

Trunchbull is up to her old tricks again! She just rang me...

Beta is 49 Sad she then said that my period is only due today based on average cycles.(she had me down as longest 31) I said no, my cycles are only 27 and 28 days. 31 was from January that's the only time! Urgh! Anyway, she said that I would only just have been pregnant then and that in future I should test when a week late so this doesn't happen.. Eh so be obvious of this happening?! No thanks!! She said she was expecting my beta to be in the thousands?!? And then I asked is 49 extremely low and unheard of at this stage? And she said no. contradiction Hmm she then decided to put my scan and next bloods back to Thursday. I think she thinks it's def a chemical as she mentioned that "it's only a few cells at this stage" ( still turns into a baby though in my book!). She said that I will prob just have bleeding now like a period and if so my hospital test will be negative on Thursday when I go. I then proceeded to tell her that as this happened in January, that's two in space of three cycles and that I can't continue to put my body through this given my health, she said "I know I know. But we will not investigate mc until you have had three and so far you have only had one" Angry I explained that in January the same thing happened to which she replied that the hospital urine was negative then so it's not recorded!! Mary Sound familiar?! Angry so I said what was I to do carry on like this and impact my health? She said "well you could take a break for a while let your body recover and then try again" WHAT! So what good will that do? Take a recovery time only to then go through it at a later date? It doesn't fix the issue! I'm not prepared to go through this another two times on the NHS when I have already twice just so they can keep their boxes ticked.
So.. At the mo, I wait until Thursday. But what do you girls think? Look for a private consultant in meantime just so a plan in place? I'm gonna be scared to try again and the same happen, as positively as I think of it all the fact it's happened twice at the same point in a short space of time is always gonna play on my mind and I want help going forward.

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 17:01

Pikz were you using opks? When did you get a surge?

Thanks sparkly I am not sure what tests would cost privately. Last cycle there was a definite shift at ov but they only stayed up for 4 days before it started dropping and the first month I think I ov'd really late and was rocky but only high for 4 days.
