Sparkly I've been wandering how you got on today. It sounds like you've made some progress, v positive news about the blood tests. It may be that private is the way to go from here. Looking forwards to hood news on Thursday, take care x

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 20:26

Pixa, that's lovely and will be fab for the casino. I love Lipsy dressesGrin

Purdie, are you nearly at ov time? How is Nancy now, is she all better and got over the sicky thing?

Pixa · 13/04/2015 20:20

Thanks DizzyMerry and Mummy. I am hoping the outfit will help to encourage DH to do the gentlemanly thing and chuck one up me Grin

Mummy Sorry to hear you're having a hard time with temps. I will keep you in my thoughts.

Sparkly it looks as though Purdie has given you some fantastic advice. Smile The more I read about that nurse, the more angry and incensed I get. I do think getting a private consultant to check out your case would be beneficial.

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 20:13

pixa great dress and shoes, I wore a similar outfit last year for my dps birthday night away. I love a red dress! But it ended in no sex as we were both too tired and just wanted a good sleep with a lie in! No update, I didn't ov when my opk predicted and worried about crappy temps so far the last 3 cycles.

purdiepie · 13/04/2015 20:10

Oh, Pikz, I'm so glad you finally ov'd! Smile

Rainy, what wonderful, wonderful news! I totally think you are going to be pregnant really soon once they're tweaked your hormones.

Sparkly, I am absolutely gutted about all of this Sad It is true that clinicians won't record a pregnancy unless it's been detected on their premises and with their HPT's. I think it is best for your mental health that we don't dwell on this and look at the positives in having had your latest miscarriage recorded as such. It's a big thing, believe me, and a battle lots of women who suffer very early losses have to contend with.

I absolutely think you ought to have a private consultation with a different fertility consultant. We can't have you suffering this two more times in order to tick the recurrent miscarriage box. A private consultant will take your January chemical seriously and can shed more light than I can as to why you are miscarrying when the uterine lining looks healthy. Perhaps you have high NK killer cells. This is talked about a lot over on the Recurrent Miscarriage thread (and boy do they have some smart and long-suffering women over there). I don't suggest you go there yet as those women are there after having lost four or more babies and it is not a happy thread (obviously). There's a lot of heartache and you are nowhere near going down that avenue.

So...Nurse Ratchet has put your second blood test back to Thursday, right? That's 72 hours after your first beta blood test today. So..if your number 49 has trebled you can begin to have a glimmer of hope. Until then, please know how bloody unbelievably gutted we are for you. I still maintain you are in a better place today than you were last month (in terms of moving forwards). I know that must feel stingy that I've said that when you are so devastated, but we need to look for positives here. Please rest and be kind to yourself. I think you did a terrific job today putting across your displeasure and anxiety about your health. Brilliant job. Now go get looking for a good consultant in your area (you could start a thread asking Scottish ladies in your region for recommendations) Thanks

cremedecacao · 13/04/2015 20:02

Chops- dammit! I keep reading different things Confused

Might try an ovulation test in a bit to help make my mind up. If it's negative I can abstain and hope for more ewcm in the next few days!

DizzyMerry · 13/04/2015 20:01

Stunning dress and shoes pixa. I think the outfit is perfect and just my kind of thing so I would say go for it.

MelonMelon · 13/04/2015 19:59

Your*

MelonMelon · 13/04/2015 19:59

purdie you're sex dress is now sold out online! The bastards have just emailed me a 20% off code so Ive bought 2 more frocks. There's retail therapy then there's this.....think I'm trying to tempt fate a bit too much with a wardrobe full of new clobber and a running regime Wink

Pixa · 13/04/2015 19:53

Spinning pictures attached. They're probably a bit too try hard (but if you can't try hard for your DH, when can you?). I have a make up application booked at the hotel too. It almost feels a little formal when it's on but it hangs in the right places. Smile Is it a bit too formal for a casino night?

Mummy have I missed an update? Why meh, lovely? Sad

creme! I just wanted to say the sperm might get in the way when it comes to looking at your cervix cells down the microscope. I'm sure they recommend not having sex before. Google it?

Catch up properly later! still looking for af

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 19:46

*throw

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 19:46

pixa I am ok, just a bit meh.

spinnin under the ham haha! I do it with the bin all the time, though the item in the bin and keep the packet in my hand.

MarysPrayer · 13/04/2015 19:44

Just a few cells Sad Angry Sparkly , what a cruel thing for her to say. You would expect a fertility nurse to have more empathy. That little clump of cells is your baby, whose due date will no doubt be etched on you heart by now.
I really hope you get some answers soon. I also really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

Pixa · 13/04/2015 19:28

That's amazing, Spinning, I love that it was under the ham. I found my sugar cannister in the fridge the other day! Grin

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 19:24

Yea Pixa, it was in the fridge!!!! Underneath the ham. I remember now that I was in a rush to put the cold bits away as I had an appointment. Ds was helping me so one of us obviously grabbed the ham and the letter togetherGrin

Pixa · 13/04/2015 19:20

Can you rearrange your smear Creme? Either way I would definitely go for it. Smile

Spinning Did I see that you found your letter?!

Thanks Mummy, it's a new everything for this trip away. I like to spoil myself every now and then! Smile Hope you are well.

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 19:19

Haha Riceicle, I like that, have funWink

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 19:18

Mummy, fish and chips sound good!
I had rainbow trout and salad.

Goodness Boris! There's hope for me and Purdey thenGrin

Ooh Pixa do tell us about your new dress and shoes, I love new clothesSmile

Sparkly, pleased Dh is going with you on Thursday. My early mc is on my doctors file. I never did an hpt test at the surgery. They did take bloods to see what was happening and the bloods confirmed a mc. I'm very lucky that my doctor and the nurse I saw that day were lovely, I was a mess and they were so kind. It makes me so mad that not everyone receives this level of care at such a heartbreaking time.

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 19:17

creme I would go for it too, they have definitely seen worse.

Sparkly all policies can be bypassed, no one in the NHS does everything by the rules.

pixa how lovely getting new shoes & dress for your weekend away! I hope you have a lovely time.

Hairstylisttoboris · 13/04/2015 19:15

Oh sparkly just caught up with your second update. I think you need a second opinion or to complain. It's so rubbish how you've been treated. I have to say your DH seems wonderful. How is he coping?

cremedecacao · 13/04/2015 19:12

I am so excited, I have waited MONTHS to get this kind of ewcm! I am NOT letting my pride stop me now Grin

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 19:10

Creme yes have sex! It won't worry the nurse, I'm sure they've seen all sortsSmile

Riceicle1 · 13/04/2015 19:08

sparkly what a rollercoaster Sad ((hugs)) your dh sounds so supportive and lovely. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Thursday brings some positive news.
Boring old cycle day 8 here, I'm begining my DTd marathon tonight, so I'm off to shave my legs and paint my toe nails! (As tesco says... Every little helps!)

ibeka · 13/04/2015 19:07

Sparkles it can't be NHS policy to discount your pregnancy just because it was a home test. I never even did a test at the GP. She said 'we don't test you - our tests are no better than the ones you can buy so there's no point. If you got a positive at home you are definitely pregnant'. It may be their trust policy but consultants have the right/power to do what they think is most appropriate in each case. I'm sure she/he can get it acknowledged as a pregnancy at the very least, even if it is still policy not to investigate until 3 MCs. Angry on your behalf.
