I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

Oh hewy good idea - as I've just been asked to be bridesmaid maybe I can say that! Although I will be feeding up on te free cakes during the conference lol

hewy · 27/05/2015 23:14

My excuse for not drinking, or only having small bit depending on time of month, is calorie counting. Not sure they buy it but that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

artylady14 · 27/05/2015 22:48

Hi Diana, the dip in temperature can be a sign of implantation. My temperature fell by 0.3 so quite a lot on a fertility chart. Feeling a bit better. Yes this next week is hard and I try not to think about it too much Blush

DianaOstara · 27/05/2015 21:19

hewy I'm feeling it's a 'all or nothing' month this month too. AF hit me hard this month but I've bounced back surprisingly quickly - already planning first seduction of DH!

birchy from next week on I'm going totally tee-total. I have my own wedding coming up in the summer so im packaging it as pre-wedding detox. It's so hard otherwise though isn't it?

arty hope you're feeling a bit better. I find the 1ww much worse (7dpo+) fx for you. I've just ordered a bbt thermometer and was going to ask for a brief 'how to' - what is a drop in temp post-ov meant to indicate?

I thought I was cd1 today but AF is still so, so light (barely enough for a panty-liner, nowhere near enough for a pad or tampon) so I'm re-adjusting cd1 to cd3 as it started on Monday (and I want to start dtd as soon as possible!). Definitely not pregnant (absolutely did not take another test this afternoon Hmm!) but what does a light period mean? It has been late and light. I'm trying to be super positive and telling myself that perhaps I've been 'almost pregnant'! But a tiny part of me is thinking 'early menopause'?!!!

artylady14 · 27/05/2015 20:04

Hi, just seen this thread and I am 7dpo today. I had a drop in temperature this morning and just this evening I have got really bad abdominal cramps. I dont know if it is anything implantation related or just digestive. I have so much paperwork to do tonight and feel so ill I stopped eating dinner and had to have a paracetamol just now :( Anyone else had this? Probably nothing.

birchygoo · 27/05/2015 19:42

we have sun in Devon as well today!

hewy I feel really positive doing smep as well this month. I got asked to be bridesmaid and dp said to me today that he will have a lot of looking after of a baby to do. so seems us girls aren't the only ones who think ahead! I really hope so much I get a bfp this month. am due to test 9th June. but am away with work until the 10th so hopefully that will take my mind of it - just need to figure out how to refuse alcohol with colleagues without raising suspicions .... any tips?

I also have a wedding and engagement party this weekend aghh summer is wrong time to try n conceive!

PS ff still hasn't marked me Dow. as ovulating. I got peak read on Monday with cbfm - any thoughts?

diamondsparkles · 27/05/2015 17:46

It's raining here too!!
hewy - sounds like you've done a brilliant job this month - fingers crossed!! It is so hard not to be devastated when af arrives but think positive, the smep will give us al our bfps Grin

Red193 · 27/05/2015 17:43

It's sunny in London. Even went to work without a coat today!

hewy · 27/05/2015 17:36

red, where are you getting sun from? It's pouring here! Nice to have new people-hi everyone! Not out til AF shows.
haquoi your doc sounds horrible! Def don't go back. Good GPs are hard to find-why can't they be supportive and kind. It's not hard.
diamond I fully understand that did every day becomes a chore! We took several days off after ovulation, then enjoyed it much more after a break! ;)
I'm only 4dpo but if not preg this month I might fall apart. I really felt like smep was great and the best we could do. Even used preseed too. Threw everything at it. It's sooooo hard not to be completely devastated when AF shows. Really want everyone to get bfp this time round.

diamondsparkles · 27/05/2015 17:24

Hi red - sorry to hear of bfn Sad but you're not out yet!
That would be an awesome birthday present though next month if it's not going to be this month! Still got fingers crossed for you though x

Red193 · 27/05/2015 15:38

Hi everyone! Hope we are all having a nice day in the sun. So I tested this morning and got another BFN and I'm due Friday. I think I'm out. Today I am getting all my normal period symptoms. The only difference is I am craving salt which is strange as I don't like salt! My cervix is higher than yesterday but I don't think this is our month so you'll have to put up with me a bit longer. At least if it is my month next month it will be an awesome birthday present x

diamondsparkles · 27/05/2015 11:50

diana - every day is definitely a chore!! So glad you've joined usSmile
haquoi - I can understand you feeling down and in limbo, it's rubbish. It's very strange what's happening to you but I agree, never go to that doctor again, but definitely go for a second opinion.
Try to enjoy your holiday if you can, hope it's somewhere lovely and relaxing. Thinking of you xx

haquoi123 · 27/05/2015 11:06

Hi diana, lovely to have you join us and thanks for the reassurance! I don't feel anything at all, pregnancy or period, no symptoms!! Occasionally my womb feels sore, but I get that most of the time anyway. Sorry to hear you had a late one as well, it's awful!

diamond, it's possible that I ovulated late, but DH and I have only dtd a couple of times in the last few weeks, so that would mean I'm out... The other thing is that the reflexologist said she thought I'd ovulated about 3weeks ago, and the last couple of sessions my ovaries have been quiet. Also, when checking cm my cervix has been low, so I don't know really. We reckon we'll wait another week and then get a second opinion. I'm never going to that Dr again though. Now to try and enjoy our holiday I knew I shouldn't have tested this morning, feeling really down. Cd41,woo...

DianaOstara · 27/05/2015 10:04

I know diamond - stupid bodies! I'm now cycle 5 ttc #2. We had a couple of months dtd every day but it became a chore Blush !!! Every other day much better for us!

diamondsparkles · 27/05/2015 09:57

Hi diana! Nice to hear from you. You've come to the right place for lots of handholding (and rambling)!! Smile
Sorry to hear you had that experience last cycle, our bodies really do mess with our heads don't they. How long have you been ttc?
Good to hear you're gearing up for smep, it's good to have a plan. I'm doing it this month too, still negative ovulation this morning but only cd11 so was expected. Have been dtd every other day up to now which is strange to us as we normally dtd every day then probably stop too soon as we are knackered!

DianaOstara · 27/05/2015 09:16

Hello! Can I join you chatty lot over here please? I've been lurking from another thread and feel I need a bit more hand-holding people to listen to my ramblings this month!

haquoi I've been following with interest as I had a really late af this month (35 rather than 28-30) with countless bfns. I'm firmly on cd1 now but after lots of googling I have found lots of evidence of pregnancy not detected by hpt, especially as diamond says if you ovd late. So frustrating for you though.

I'm already gearing up for smep this month!

diamondsparkles · 27/05/2015 08:15

Oh haquoi Sad, really gutted for you. I wonder whether when you got your ewcm last week it was just a really late ovulation so now you're only a few days past ovulation so it's too early to tell? Sorry I'm not much help. Is it worth trying to see another doctor? X

haquoi123 · 27/05/2015 07:50

Another bfn. Fucking hell :(

diamondsparkles · 26/05/2015 23:37

haquoi - glad you're feeling better and sounds like Mad Max was good Grin
That sounds like just what you need going away for your anniversary- have a lovely relaxing time - keep popping in if you can though and keep us updated how you are doing

diamondsparkles · 26/05/2015 23:33

birchy -fingers crossed for you with smep then Smile!
We're doing it every other day until I get that peak test then it'll be the 2 nights in a row! I'm hoping for the peak tomorrow which is cd12 but to be honest I usually get late peaks - like cd15 so I'm not holding out too much hope but I'm hoping my reflexology tonight has kick started my ovaries Grin

birchygoo · 26/05/2015 23:30

grey I'm sorry you lost your friend and so young! I can see why your anxious but more than likely you are fine. I've never managed to reach my cervix so am afraid o can't compare. but see your gp and explain your anxieties. 1 year out they might give you a smear to ease your anxiety. or nurse may be able to look at your cervix. I've been to difdf nurses as I've moved around UK and they all commented that cervix looked healthy when doing smear - at least it will ease your mind a little.

birchygoo · 26/05/2015 23:26

diamond I am good. cd17, I think 1dpo although ff is not saying that as temps are everywhere and cbfm automatically gives two peak days. my app ovuview is telling me that I am 1dpo. solo confusing. am following the smep though so bum on pillow tonight , tomorrow then break then bd 1 more time. so fx this works !!

diamondsparkles · 26/05/2015 23:25

Hi greyhorses!
Good to hear from you, exciting you're nearly at test time!
I'm sorry I've never done that but try not to worry, from what I've read from other people the cervix feels different at different stages in the cycle but that's normal. I know a couple of ladies on here have felt theirs so they will be able to help more than me. Try not to worry too much though x

haquoi123 · 26/05/2015 23:24

Oh grey, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, that is absolutely awful. I hope you have supportive and loving people around you to help you through. The likelihood is that your cervix is fine - I don't know mine enough to compare, but I feel a pointy bit in the middle - but absolutely see your doctor (and explain your fear in relation to your friend) if it'll make you feel better. From experience I'm more afraid of things going wrong since my son and a family friend died, but it's also good to be vigilant. Maybe keep a written record of it over a month and see what happens?

Thanks diamond and birchy. I'm feeling a lot better now actually - going away for a couple of days tomorrow (it's our two year anniversary today) and I'm resigned to waiting. Crying it all out helps. Also just been to see Mad Max. PHWOAR!!

diamond that's great that the reflexologist said that, I think it's right to look at it positively :)

remember where did you get those tests from?

Greyhorses · 26/05/2015 22:17

Hi everyone, hope it's okay to join again!
I'm now cycle day 29 and waiting for AF but sure it's coming as I feel exactly as I normally do. I also didn't ovulate until late this cycle so I'm sure that's why.I have had some cramping and pmt so sure it's on its way. The only 'sign' I have had is a small amount of cm. I'm hoping to test at the weekend if it's not arrived but I bet I cave before and waste some money!

Possibly far too much info but I decided to check my cervix to see if that gave a clue and found it quite high but very hard (so not pregnant as everything said it would be soft) and rough feeling, it had a few tiny bumps on the surface and they made it feel rough to the touch in a small area. I am now terrified that there is something drastically wrong with me as I have just lost a friend to cervical cancer at 26. I am only 24 so not old enough for a smear and I'm not sure what to do now, maybe I should wait a week or so and see if it goes away once AF comes?

Has anyone else felt their cervix and it was rough or bumpy? I felt it earlier in the month and it was normal so I'm hoping it's hormonal, still worried sick though Sad
