I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

Morning everyone! I'm still on a high from not getting bad news yesterday - feel like I dodged a bullet and has made me feel super positive for this month! Went on a major shopping splurge yesterday (honeymoon holiday shopping :) ) and out for dinner and drinks - last opportunity as from today I'm not drinking at all until I get upduffed! I have no idea when to count cd1 as I had such a weird cycle but plan to start smep from when af leaves the building.

rememberall and birchy I'm looking into temping this month...do you both recommend FF? What are the basics of temping? What should I be looking out for?

fuzzy I've had every symptom going since ttc including late period - it's soooo frustrating isn't it?!

hewy have you tested yet?! Sounds really promising!

diamond very jealous of your house works - I'm staring at a wall I'd love to have knocked out! Completely with you though on not enjoying the upheaval.

haquoi you are staying amazingly calm! We're all rooting for you!

mayo I'm changing my tactics to a more spiritual/in tune with my body approach and would love to try reflexology. Im waiting for a book on natural fertility to arrive and a friend has passed on details of a practitioner she visited when ttc specialising in womb yoga!!! Not sure what it entails but if this month isn't our month I'm planning on booking a session with her. Want to get to know my own cycle a bit better first though to get the most out of it.

diamondsparkles · 30/05/2015 09:50

remember - rise in temperature sounds promising!! 15dpo too - poas time soon then!
Sounds like you've got a busy day then. It'll feel good when it's all sorted out though, a good clear out always feels good Smile. We're living in a building site here, having lots of alterations done, including a loft conversion and other walls and stuff being knocked down, it's been going on for months and I'm sick of it now, I don't like mess - it stresses me out! So another day of trying to clean and sort stuff plus food shopping for me - exciting day here!

diamondsparkles · 30/05/2015 09:44

Morning haquoi - glad the she-oak is keeping you calm but it's such limbo for you. I know the stats sound low but I am still really hoping for you, it will be a late bfp, are you testing Monday? The increased saliva sounds promising though. Try to keep positive lovely.
My news not brilliant - still no smiley face, cd15, smep gone out the window as we have been dtd every night - dh really keen - how can I refuse?! Wink we had a nice romantic night the other night. But he starts his late shifts on Tuesday which means I don't see him Tuesday to Friday so basically if we dtd up til then and I ovulate really late, say weds or thurs then we'll miss it anyway.

My stupid body!!

diamondsparkles · 30/05/2015 09:34

Hi mayo - good to hear from you, sometimes you need a bit of time out googling stuff etc but glad you've come back. Reflexology is a great idea, I thoroughly recommend it. Sorry to hear about the stress in your house - hope your dh finds something soon. Yes new pregnancy announcements are always upsetting, I don't do facebook but hear enough about all the announcements on there, I couldn't stand it. Your bfp is due the day before mine, have you ovulated yet? I haven't Sad

Rememberallball · 30/05/2015 09:21

Morning Haquoi, having a lazy start to the day on iPad while DP sleeps next to me. Am CD37 today and, according to amended data on ff, am 15dpo. FF now has me on a 4 day countdown to when I should poas!! Oh, and my temp is on the rise again this morning - back up above 37c!!

Feeling completely normal and just wishing af would turn up so we could start SMEP and opks again - which reminds me, I must order another batch off Amazon this weekend!!

Gearing ourselves up for a weekend clearing things out at mums house ready to decorate the last of the bedrooms. Then it's onto tackling the downstairs which is going to be a nightmare as its so cluttered with her and dad's stuff - can see lots of trips to the tip coming up!! Then we must get on and find a boiler engineer willing to fit the boiler we've got - preferably at family rates (thinking of DPs uncle)!!

haquoi123 · 30/05/2015 08:55

Morning all! My daily report is:
Cd44, 14 days late, slight cramping when dtd this morning and tenderness in my tummy, just below belly button. Feeling of too much saliva in my mouth which I've had for a while now. Bloating yesterday (although I've been wolfing down more carbs than usual). I haven't checked internally for cm, but there's no spotting whatsoever on the tissue. I found d some stats and there's only a 25‰ chance of being pg after two weeks with bfns and symptoms, so I'm not getting my hopes up. My fertility app reliably tells me I should be in my fertile zone for the next cycle, which is annoying. She-oak keeping me calm though (seriously, it's weird!)

That's great news diana, onwards and upwards!

diamond any smiley faces yet? How was your romantic night?
remember, finding, hewy, how're you all getting on?

mayo & fuzzy I started temping this morning - dreamed about it all night, don't wake up until a reasonable hour so you can take your temp! Haven't yet had a chance to get out the ov sticks, Internet cheapies.

Hows smep going?

fuzzywuzzy · 29/05/2015 20:15

I use the CBFM as well, pee in a cup and dip sticks in it for exactly 20 seconds then quickly into the monitor. If you see the sample creeping up into the test window before you put the stick in the monitor it doesn't read it properly.

Also once you get peak the following two show peak and high, I'm betting the sticks I put in those two days make no difference at all.

Would I buy it myself, it's expensive but it is sensitive and helps, however I've always known when I ov as I feel it.

It's expensive. It is fun. The pregnancy tests are also super sensitive and the pregnant sign in the middle of the plus sign covers the entire monitor. Which is then devastating when it turns negative.

If I had cash to splash I'd get it. Otherwise like a pp said, I'd buy a stunning pair of shoes instead.

mayoforsam I use then cbdm. I'm not so sure it's worth the money. But like you I love gadgets ... Would I buy it agai- am not so sure. It does help pinpoint things tho. And I do find it very accurate. Sticks are very sensitive so I find peeing on them over saturates them so pain o peeling in a pot and dipping every day. I also like that it takes the thinking out of it - tells you what to do and when.
Bad points - doesn't do anything that an app doesn't do. And doesn't have facility for temps either.

I do ramble on don't I?!!!! Grin

diamondsparkles · 29/05/2015 16:26

haquoi - ewcm clear now - I'm still hoping for a late bfp for you - it's crazy isn't it what we go through. Glad you're feeling positive. I know, it is strange about ovulation, I probably should temp, I thought I never would but it probably is the only way to understand what's going on.
diana - that's interesting what you've said about ovulation being late for you too - it just shows that the 14 day ovulation obviously isn't the same for everyone. Brilliant news about your tests Smile, so happy for you! And how weird about your af, I think stress and worry plays a huge part in how our bodies work and it seems like the relief brought it on.
birchy - thank you - yes I will consider tempting, that's really interesting.
hewy - Grin - I'm just like you - proper poas addict! Already wondering when the earliest is I can poas and I've not even ovulated yet!! Good luck for when you do!
The trial is a ttc clearblue trial so you need to keep urine samples every day for a month and do a diary, the rewards are free a digital ovulation kit, pregnancy tests and then if you're lucky enough to get pregnant you get high street vouchers, unfortunately I wasn't so got the commiserations prize of another digital ovulation kit for when the trial had finished!
Yes the thread only lasts for 40 pages so we need to think of a new thread name for our lovely group to set up soon Grin

hewy · 29/05/2015 14:46

Diana that's great news from doc. Every now and then I worry that short cycles might mean onset of the dreaded M. But I think my main issue is worry. And you're right about your body. Stress has a massive impact on how the body works.
So I have absolutely no symptoms, but feel so please with myself for making it through week one of this tww that I want to test...I'm outta school at 3.30 today and will probs have tested by 3.45! I just need to pee on something! It's a week since I last did, so surely it's time. Ahhhhh .... the wait is too long!
Haquoi any sign of BFP or AF? This is pretty outside of normal cycle surely?! Hope you're not feeling too frustrated.
Sorry about your AF Red. She's a complete cow!
diamond and remember - what is the trial about? Sounds like it would be really helpful for ttc.

fuzzywuzzy · 29/05/2015 10:50

Diana so pleased for you, that must have been such a relief to hear. I know a lot of people have a downer on the NHS but it has always come up trumps for me too when I needed it. I very rarely go to the docs tho, so when I go it's serious and they have always been lovely and efficient.

Haquoi, do you normally have CM at this point in your cycle? It could be a symptom (cheerfully symptom spotting for everyone else)

Think the worse thing for me is that my symptoms (I have many) are so similar to AF, it's so easy to drive oneself nuts.

Really looking forward to the weekend, somehow bank holidays weeks feel like the longest.

birchygoo · 29/05/2015 09:43

diamond I have just started temping this month and although it is all over the place and didnt think I would ever have a reading from it it has shown that I ovulated (it did take 3 days of temping after ovulation to pinpoint when it happened - so I think you def need a method of dtd eod or using opks as well. As downside of temping is that it only shows you when it has happened.

diana yehh for results and af - PMA for next cycle, this is our BFP months for us all! Our AF is highly influenced by our mood/stress etc so I can well believe that it was delayed due to wanting to be pregnant so badly and then by stress of thinking something was wrong.

FF changed my ovulation day to cd17 which is when I thought it actually was as had peak reading on cd16 on cbfm. gently bobbing through this 2ww

DianaOstara · 29/05/2015 09:14

finding this is the place for if and when you're feeling down...I'm glad to hear you're feeling more positive.

diamond on the months I've used opks I haven't ovd until cd19 Hmm I've just ordered a book on natural fertility and hoping I can work out why its so late and if I can do something about it.

haquoi I think you're right, and enormously restrained, to not poss until monday! Now to find lovely things to distract yourself over the weekend!

My news... firstly giving thanks that we have an amazing NHS! I have just had my blood results back (before 9am! I didn't have the test til 1pm yesterday) hormone levels normal, no sign of menopause or ovaries not working properly! Then get this for weird - my period has now started full flow Confused - a full week late (if full flow counts as cd1) its almost like my body was holding on to it in a mind over matter battle - firstly thinking I was pregnant and then worrying about bad news. As soon as I knew neither was true my body released af. Sometimes I feel I have no control over my body but maybe I have more than I realise - just need to tap into how to be in control!

haquoi123 · 29/05/2015 08:37

diamond, fingers crossed for you and ov. It's interesting what the others (birchy?) were saying about opks - maybe you should start temping?

haquoi123 · 29/05/2015 08:35

Also, we're going to have to think about creating a new thread soon! Is it 40 pages max?

haquoi123 · 29/05/2015 08:35

finding, that nipple sounds really painful! I'm sorry you're suffering so much!! I would ask when you last poas, but I'm coming to the conclusion that poas is bad for the soul! When is AF due?

Thanks Diana. I haven't tested today, I'm actually feeling positive in body and soul and don't want to ruin it - I'd like to wait till Monday, give it a good amount of time and then I can head straight to the GP if its negative.

diamond, I'm back to clear ewcm now! No cramps yet today and no blood. The brown was so faint I was squinting to see it anyway!

Cd43, 13 days late!! Last poas wed, bfn

diamondsparkles · 29/05/2015 07:42

Morning everyone Smile
Still negative opk here but looking back to my March stats I only got a positive opk on cd15 then so hopefully still time, I'm cd14 today.
haquoi - glad you had a nice hol, just what you needed. Has the brown turned into anything else yet?
finding - sorry to hear you've been down, are you sure af is on its way? They sound like symptoms to me
diana - glad you've had a good talk and are feeling better, yes stay away from google!
arty - glad you're feeling good Smile, how's the temp today?
remember - sorry about bfn but could just be too early. I did that clearblue trial a couple of months ago, so any questions just ask and I'll try and help you
red - hope you enjoyed the curry! Yes positive thoughts from today - what a fab birthday present that would be! X

Red193 · 28/05/2015 21:20

Thanks ladies. I'm more disappointed than I thought I would be but it was only our first attempt.

I've comforted myself with a curry tonight and will start with the positive thoughts tomorrow and get going again! Next month I will be due on my birthday so who knows could be a great birthday present! X

Rememberallball · 28/05/2015 21:16

So nice to see such encouragement ladies.

I poas before I went out earlier and another bfn. Am now cd35 but, with the adjusted ov day from ff, I'm only about 11dpo - am not supposed to test until 3rd June!!

It seems futile testing when my d21 bloods were negative but, at the same time, I hold on to the hope that I may have over after d21 as ff suggests!!

Thank goodness our GP was able to fit us in next week and we don't need to wait too long for the results - you've put my mind more at ease about the reason he wants to see us. And it gives us the chance to talk to him about the next step and my referral to the gynae consultant.

Oh, and I heard back from Clearblue today, they are sending me some forms to complete then will send me their ovulation test product and the rest of the trial equipment so I'll soon know what I'm doing for them!!

artylady14 · 28/05/2015 20:59

Diamond thanks for asking, I'm feeling right as rain today and my temp went up slightly. Grin

fuzzywuzzy · 28/05/2015 20:51

A chemical pregnancy is one that successfully fertilises but for whatever reason fails to thrive and is miscarried, it's a very early miscarriage, mine was at four weeks. As it is picked up on HPT I'm assuming it starts implanting but doesn't last.
