I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

Lol, that's funny about the vinegar! Smile

Lovelyjubbly95 · 31/05/2015 21:07

Have had a lot of bloating over the last few days, bit irritable, tired and at dinner tonight i had a strong woft of vinegar but my partner didn't have any lol

diamondsparkles · 31/05/2015 20:49

lovely - fingers crossed for you too - keep us updated with any symptoms Smile

Lovelyjubbly95 · 31/05/2015 20:44

Diamondsparkles - thx, im going to test nxt wkend if af doesn't arrive....

diamondsparkles · 31/05/2015 20:41

greyhorses - cramping could be a good sign! Fingers crossed af stays well away

Greyhorses · 31/05/2015 19:49

I was going to try and hold out until the end of next week and see if AF arrives. I'm not sure I will last that long but I hate the disappointment of a negative!

I have had some cramping for the past week but I always cramp a few days before AF so it could be that!

diamondsparkles · 31/05/2015 19:45

Hi greyhorses - there's definitely still time for your bfp! This timing thing is hard isn't it when there's shifts etc involved - its hard enough anyway!
Glad you're feeling relaxed though - that's definitely a good thing Smile, that's the one thing I try to be but never manage!!
Are you going to test again soon?

Greyhorses · 31/05/2015 19:39

Hi Diamond- they are pretty irregular and last month it was 32 days. I still have a tiny little bit of hope but the sensible part of me thinks surely I would have had bfp by now as I am at least 13dpo!
I think I am in a similar boat to you as DP works away sometimes and I work shifts so it's hard to hit the day at the right time.

I am feeling much more relaxed about the whole thing though which can only be a good thing Smile

diamondsparkles · 31/05/2015 19:29

Hi greyhorses - sorry for bfn but you're not out yet. Have you had long cycles like this before?
Hi lovely! Welcome to our lovely thread. Sorry to hear about your mc but fingers crossed for this month. Glad you got your peak - sadly I haven't had mine this month. When are you going to poas? Excited for you!

SleepyDragon · 31/05/2015 19:10

Hi Grey thanks muchly!!!

I had a BFN a week before my BFP so fingers crossed for you!

Lovelyjubbly95 · 31/05/2015 16:45

Hi can I join? I'm in my tww atm :/ ttc #2, (my son is 8) had a mc in Feb at 6wks, and this mth I finally got my peak (I use a cbfm ) and didn't leave my partner alone haha! I'm 8th and not sure whether I have symptoms already or not?! Driving me mad Grin

Greyhorses · 31/05/2015 15:16

Hi everyone!

I am cd34 and still no AF but definatley BFN. I just wish it would hurry up now Confused I have had no symptoms so sure it must be soon!

Congrats sleepy!

SleepyDragon · 31/05/2015 11:57

Completely Diamond my MIL sat there open mouthed just going 'oh! Oh! Wow!' And my Mum reverted to shouting my maiden name at me! Lol!

diamondsparkles · 31/05/2015 11:32

sleeping - what a great way to tell them! I bet there was just shock at first til it registered!
haquoi - with the clearblue digital it's supposed to be first thing in the morning, I think it's the others where it's better in the afternoon. Today's stick looked darker than the previous days so I think I am gearing up to ovulate but no point this late with dh's shifts so onto the next month - it's so frustrating, I think that's what happened last month - we missed the ovulation as it was so late - at least that's what I'm clinging to.
Your symptoms are strong, I'm so hoping for you. I can understand what you mean about the disappointment though of a bfn though. Have you got anymore reflexology booked soon? I have seen things on the internet where it just takes a while to show a bfp in some pregnancies so am really hoping that that is what's happening to you and soon it'll be a bfp!

SleepyDragon · 31/05/2015 10:58

Hiya Haquoi!

Not feeling too bad ta, very tired (but our holiday was a fairly active one rather than relaxing so it could be that) and only slightly queasy now and not every morning either. Although I've not had the sore boobs before but I nearly jumped out of the shower this morning when the water hit the 'ipples' lol!

I have my fingers crossed for you! X

haquoi123 · 31/05/2015 10:35

diamond, I've had a thought - are you supposed to ov test in the morning? I've heard the LH surge happens later in the day and that afternoon is the best time to test. But I also think (and I know I say this to everyone) that you should really, really go see a gp. They'll be able to help you out and see why you've had to wait so long. And from other's experiences on here, it seems to help to have that extra support. It does feel like our bodies are against us though, doesn't it?

sleepy!!!! So excited that you've told your parents, really pleased it went well :) How are you feeling?

Mayo it sounds like you're having a really rough time - I'm sorry to hear that your plan of moving has been shut down. Reflexology has been life-changing for me, it really has. I'd gone from thinking I could ever be happy again, to much of the bitterness and depression lifting and feeling like there was a chance things could get better. My reflexologist is a specialist fertility reflexologist as well (complete fluke that I found her!) - she recommended someone who had done this particular course, rather than a day-long one www.serennaturalfertility.co.uk/association-reproductive-reflexologists/

(but also if you've already booked with one, that's absolutely fine too)

diana, I read once that you count cd1 from the first day of proper bleeding, not just spotting, I don't know if that helps? Your health drive sounds awesome! I've been eating so terribly recently... What's the difference between natural fertility and the other stuff? Do you have a link I could look at? (And what's eod?)

birchy I've just started temping, only two days though, so that might explain the waking up naturally at 6.30am this morning and yesterday...!

To my daily report...
cd 45 (although ff says 46...), no AF!
Despite trying not to symptom spot, yesterday afternoon (after getting cramps in the morning while dtd) I got quite dizzy, low blood sugar and had to eat something to make myself feel better. Then I got such bad cramps that I started to shake and took some paracetamol. The cramps soon cleared up, but the shakes only went when the painkillers kicked in. No spotting, no bleeding. Less obvious cm, but have also felt quite wet (but I also had man-muck making its way out, so who knows). I'm starting to convince myself that something fun might be happening, but trying to stick to the path of not feeling positive or negative and just accepting it...!!! I've decided not to pee on a stick again, I can't deal with the crushing disappointment. If I get to three weeks late I'll book an appointment and get them to test. One thing that the crappy GP said to me that has stuck is that sometimes your body thinks it's pregnant, until its not. So maybe this is it.

So annoyed that I can't take part in SMEP, when I was the one who suggested it - always the way isn't it?!!

SleepyDragon · 31/05/2015 10:20

Hi Diamond it was quite funny actually as we were watching the football (and losing) so at half time DH just went 'well on a brighter note, you're all going to be grandparents' Cue a fair bit of 'huh, wha?' Lol!

The only thing that was vaguely annoying is that my Mum is now in a minor sulk as she lives 200miles away and think she will never see the baby and needs to move house!

Hi Diana you guess correctly Grin I am 7+3 today with my booking appointment on Friday. I hope you find the inspiration you're looking for, the ladies on here are lovely!

diamondsparkles · 31/05/2015 08:41

Morning diana - your new healthy regime sounds good! I too am starting a healthkick today, seem to have had too many social occasions recently but now feel determined to get healthier.
Plan sounds good - eod dtd. I had another negative ovulation test again this morning so that pretty much rules out this month for me. It's a shame as we've dtd the last 4 nights and will tonight and tomorrow too but it's likely if I even do ovulate this month it will be later on in the week and dh is on his late shifts as of Tuesday so no dtd for the rest of the week. It's so frustrating

DianaOstara · 31/05/2015 08:34

Morning all! Hello sleepy - I've been reading my way through the thread for inspiration - only on about page 10 - am I guessing right that you are now expecting?! Amazing news! What a happy outcome :)

Day 1 of my new health kick commences. I've woken up rested and clear headed from an alcohol free, early night; porridge and hot water for breakfast and I'm about to head out for a rainy puddle walk along the river with dd. DH on the other hand went out with his football team yesterday for an FA Cup knees up - he may be in bed for a while! (To be fair to him he rarely drinks, eats super healthily and goes to the gym and cycles every day. I'm the unhealthy one in the relationship!)

My period has tailed off now. I still have no idea when to count cd1 but (depending on how rough DH feels!) plan to start eod dtd from tonight.

diamondsparkles · 31/05/2015 08:06

Hi sleepy! That's brilliant - bet it was great telling them! Hope you're feeling okay, lovely to hear from you.
Morning everyone - how is everyone today?

SleepyDragon · 30/05/2015 23:03

Oops..... 'Was the' not 'waste' Shock

SleepyDragon · 30/05/2015 23:02

Hi ladies, just checking in on you all after a week on holiday where we told our parents....

Shock and joy waste overwhelming response thankfully!!!

ickle huge congrats on your fab news!

diamondsparkles · 30/05/2015 15:22

Hi diana - good to hear you're feeling so positive - I think that helps so much. Honeymoon shopping splurge sounds like lots of fun! Yes the upheaval here at home is a nightmare but will all be worth it - that's the next job - a big wall being knocked down - not looking forward to the dust at all! Maybe when you've had the wedding and honeymoon you can think about your wall being knocked down too!
mayo - sorry to hear of all your stress and not being able to relocate yet, hopefully it won't be too long til you have a positive development. I feel your frustration- if I get my peak days Tuesday onwards dh will be at work on late shifts and can't dtd so I feel like it's another month wasted. I think the peak means you will ovulate within 12-36 hours from the peak so if you got it yesterday then it is likely you have or will do this evening.
birchy - lol how can your dh not be impressed at your chart! Men! They don't understand what we go through trying to understand our cycles!
I hope everyone has nice plans for Saturday night, nothing much planned here except dh has promised some more dtd - that will be 3rd night in a row and still no positive ovulation - come on ovaries - do something before dh goes on strike!!

birchygoo · 30/05/2015 14:01

Diana my first month temping and I was really sceptical - but I love it - was just showing dh my chart (don't think he was as impressed lol)

I ordered baby mad thermometer from Amazon - quote cheap. need one that does to 2 dp. suppose to take temp at same time every day ( I dont so thought it wouldn't work for me but it did!)
also vag temping supposedly more accurate than mouth esp if a mouth breather. I found ff really good!

Mayo cbfm automatically gives a second peak day following first peak and then a high reading. some people just use old sticks for theses days to save on them. I find I ovulate day after first peak reading. according to SMEP need to DTD day of peak, followed by day after and day after that, then a break and DTd again.
