Halfway through my TWW and looking for company. Anyone in the same boat?

I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

I couldn't wait anymore and poas this morning. Photo of result attached. Totally in shock, I'd pretty much convinced myself it wouldn't happen without loads of doctors visits. This is probably a stupid question, but I've been so focussed on getting pregnant that I didn't think about what to do next. Do I make a midwife appointment now? Fingers crossed that you all get your BFPs now!!

I'm testing today... Wish me luck :)

ero30 · 12/04/2015 20:06

Icklepickle, sorry, perils of trying to keep up on my phone. I missed your post. So sorry this isn't your month, but mountains of good wishes for next month! xx Flowers Cake

Thanks diamondsparkles, I really thought it was our month!!

When are you due to poas?

ero30 · 12/04/2015 19:18

So I made it through the weekend without testing and without the unwelcome appearance of AF. Only problem now is that the longer it goes, the more disappointed I'll be if it all goes wrong. LOVED the hammer to the stick story. Definitely the type of thing that would happen in my house!

So sorry to hear that ickle, it really is horrible when it appears, try and have a nice day anyway and next month will be your month instead Flowersxx

Icklepickle101 · 12/04/2015 10:22

It wasn't to be ,AF arrived this morning (I think)

Fx for everyone else xxx

haquoi123 · 12/04/2015 08:06

Thanks diamond, at least our follies led to a good story :)

Hi issie! I hate symptom spotting, I wish my mind would just leave my body alone! But I didn't know nausea was a symptom until a few days ago - with DS I just had cramping non stop. Fingers crossed for you!

ifyou, I love the pudding nausea! Fingers crossed there's another reason behind it

Gah, another week to go! I'm getting so antsy

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 11/04/2015 23:21

Thanks Haquoi - I love that you OH took a hammer to the Pg test.

I'd happily take a hammer to my CBFM at this point. Symptom spotting - I feel nauseous tonight but it's probably the two puddings I ate at dinner with friends Grin

Issie fingers crossed for you.

Issie339 · 11/04/2015 23:10

Hi everyone, can I join? 3 days in to my tww. This is our 6th cycle ttc no2- feels like such a long time, I'm desperate to get that bfp.

Already symptom spoting (although I know it's too early really)- headaches, a bit nauseous in the mornings and very tired (probably due to cutting down on my coffee to be honest), plus bra has been chaffing on kind of sore boobs today.

diamondsparkles · 11/04/2015 21:51

Also loving the pink first response nails hewy Smile

diamondsparkles · 11/04/2015 21:51

Grin haquoi that's hilarious!! Definitely the crazy house award! Love it!!
Hi ickle - yes the brown might be good news, fingers crossed for you!
Hi ifyou - sounds promising - fingers crossed for you too!

haquoi123 · 11/04/2015 21:11

So, craziness abound in my house, DH included. I relented and poas, just to get it out of the dammed house! Usually the white square stays snow white, no shadow or anything, but this time there was a shadow... So I bring it downstairs and show it to DH who's like, 'er... No', but I want a closer look so start trying to get the test open. I almost have it when DH comes over with a hammer and smashes through the poor thing, sending shattered plastic (and pee) everywhere and... destroying the test just where my shadow was...

Lesson learned, I think we both win crazy of the year...

Icklepickle101 · 11/04/2015 20:20

Thanks haquoi - I've just seen you had some brown spotting google seems to think this is good news

Sorry for my rant, I just needed to let it out but af isn't here yet so I'm not giving up.

Handfuls of baby dust to you xx

haquoi123 · 11/04/2015 18:13

It's soul destroying isn't it? I wish there was a way to forget all about it. Hi ifyou! I've got my fingers crossed, ickle

Icklepickle101 · 11/04/2015 11:17

Yesterday I had some brown spotting in my knickers (tmi-sorry) so I tested again this morning and BFN again, I'm out I know I am Sad

Diamond sparkles - I'm normally really pms about a week before and them back ache the day/night before, as of yet I have neither but 3 days to go!

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 11/04/2015 09:10

Can I join please? I'm in TWW although CBFM is still reading high this morning 3 days before AF is due. I had a weird long cycle last month so not really sure what to think. Been trying for over a year & all tests fine. I had a long cycle two months before a BFP last year which ended in MC but I'm hoping the strange cycle could be a good omen. Boobs are really sore which I don't normally get & I'm an emotional wreck but that could just be stress? Hmm

haquoi123 · 11/04/2015 07:26

Hmm, I've got light brown discharge, a week early for my period, but my period was early last time, so who knows? Into day 3 of feeling sick (is it wrong /asking for it to put 'hopefully it'll continue' on the end?!)...

Thanks hewy, it's the worst thing that's ever happened to me. I was also out of the country on my own - DS was born while DH was stuck in Copenhagen on a layover while trying to get to me. Another baby won't replace DS, but there's an excess of love in our family...

hewy · 10/04/2015 22:51

Distraction strategy #436: gel nails with new colour that just arrived in the post. Turns out it's First Response Pink ... Oops! Poas is never far from my mind!

ero30 · 10/04/2015 20:11

Sleeping bunnies, welcome back! (Cautiously) pleased for you! When's your testing day? I'm still AF free, which is outside of what my cycle has been lately. But still too early to test. At least it means I can have a glass of wine or two!

OP posts:
diamondsparkles · 10/04/2015 19:56

Hi hewy - I know you're right but I just can't help myself! Very impressed with your willpower - frers in the house and you've resisted - wish I had some of your willpower!
Exciting sleepingbunnies! Are you planning on testing soon?!

Sleepingbunnies · 10/04/2015 18:46

Well as of yet I haven't tested and I AF hasn't showed up... Grin

hewy · 10/04/2015 18:07

haquoi so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how hard such a late mc must have been.
Ladies, we must hold off on poas. If you all do it, I'll do it too and I'm way too early. Only 9dpo today. Frer tests arrived in the post today but I have to wait til at least Sunday/Monday. Tomorrow will be a loooong day!
I've been revealing a little too much crazy to my dh. I need to get my poker face back!

diamondsparkles · 10/04/2015 17:25

Hi Brooke! how confusing for you! I think I'd go with your positive opk rather than the app but yes a good plan to dtd regularly anyway!! If you did ovulate around cd12 then hopefully not too long for you to test then! Hope you get your bfp too - yes keep us updated Smile
