I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

Thanks for thinking of me diamond. I completely reverted back to how I felt when DS died: watched TV episode after TV episode, pushed the limit for when I needed to eat, refused to talk to anybody, and cried anytime I came back reality. I don't know how I feel about today (this technically isn't talking), but it needs to get out of my system before work on Monday. I just want to run away somewhere, go somewhere abroad, hot, for a few days, get out of this place and my head. I know that the stress of this will have mucked up my chances for next month, so there's no point hoping any time soon

ickle how delayed is your period? You should go get a blood test from your GP x

diamondsparkles · 19/04/2015 07:35

Strawb - how confusing! Cb tests are good though so sounds promising!
Any news ickle? I think you could be right about the stress..... I've got the ttc stress and we're having loads of work done on the house which is really stressing me out too - my cycles seem to be changing length recently as well - not good

Icklepickle101 · 18/04/2015 19:30

Diamond - never!! I can't remember the last time it was anything other than 28 days!! I think however this means I'm out, so onwards and upwards as soon as the witch arrives!

I think your stress might have more of an impact then you think,

Strawb9999 · 18/04/2015 18:40

Ickle I hope you get some positive news soon.

I should be ovulating today but I don't have the stretchy cm you should have and yet cb ovulation tests are saying I am! So confused !

diamondsparkles · 18/04/2015 12:26

Sorry ickle - cross post. I just don't understand- must be so frustrating for you. Have you ever had a long cycle like this before?

diamondsparkles · 18/04/2015 12:25

Morning ladies - how is everyone this morning? Ickle any updates? Haquoi - how are you feeling today?
It's a lovely sunny day here, trying to be positive and looking towards ttc this month again now, dh says I need to 'just relax and it will happen' - if only that were true!

Icklepickle101 · 18/04/2015 12:23

I'm still bfn and no AF, what should I do?! 18dpo!!

diamondsparkles · 17/04/2015 22:15

Ooh rememberall that sounds a really blissful Friday night! Enjoy and relax! Xx
We've been out for a meal and now having a large vodka nightcap at home in pyjamas - bliss!

Rememberallball · 17/04/2015 20:45

Thought I'd share my Friday evening with the rest of you ladies.

Have finished work for today and DP isn't due back until 23:30 so I've opened a bottle of bubbly, run a hot bath and watching tv catch up on ipad!!

Sheer bliss and a good distraction!!

haquoi123 · 17/04/2015 17:43

Thanks everyone for your really kind words. This ttc is such hard work isn't it? (to put it mildly) Wine, cake & TV for all I think. Heads in the sand. Good luck to those still waiting xxx

Sleepingbunnies · 17/04/2015 16:47

Good luck to everyone waiting! :)

haquoi I don't know what to say to make it better. Would just like to give you Flowers and Wine and a big fat hug x

Strawb9999 · 17/04/2015 16:44

Hello all, hope it's ok to jump on this thread! I think I'm due to OV tomorrow as I've had 3 days of flashing smiley faces on CB OV tests. Had the implanon removed NYE and have been TTC since! Was 13 days late for AF last month and spent about £60 on tests! Absolutely obsessed with POAS!!

remember it looks like we will be testing around the same time if you OV'd Monday

Rememberallball · 17/04/2015 16:41

Hi ladies, thanks for the kind welcome during such struggling times. I'm working on the fact that, pre-depo, my cycle was around 28 days so if back to my previous AF would be due around the 26th. I guess I'm just super excited that my body seems to be working ok despite being in my 40's.

diamondsparkles · 17/04/2015 16:14

Hi remember, good news about your positive opk - am keeping fingers crossed for you! I'm terrible and always poas early but I would recommend waiting until af due - what date would af be due?

diamondsparkles · 17/04/2015 16:12

Oh haquoi, how utterly awful for you, I really do feel for you, sending lots of love. Life is just sometimes horribly awful. I wish I could find more words to comfort you. You take care of yourself too.
Since June last year been ttc. Was stupidly naive and thought I'd have a baby or be pregnant nearly a year on, I seem to have taken it really hard this month with thoughts that it will never happen now, thank you for your support xx
Don't be sorry to rant - you need to be able to speak about it given what you've been through - that's what we're here for - anytime xx
This is a lovely group - am so pleased to have found it Smile

haquoi123 · 17/04/2015 15:27

ickle I know how you feel, I had that a couple of months ago, the wait is excruciating. I wish our bodies would sort themselves out!

It turns out mine was a chemical pregnancy, so it's not even called a miscarriage. I can't even grieve properly because technically it never existed! I'm heartbroken, I always though I'd have my second child before DS' due date anniversary. It just feels like it's going to be years before I'll have a live baby. And yet, like you say diamond, people pop out babies like it's no tomorrow, they have them accidentally and are problem free, and yet I can't keep them alive. I can't plan ahead, to go abroad, etc. because I can't go abroad while pg (DS was born in Italy), life is literally on hold and it just sucks without my son. Absolutely sucks.

diamond, I feel you. Take care of yourself, truly. How long have you been ttc again?
Hi remember, it sounds like you've been through the mill, really sorry to hear that. My advice, don't poas before your period is due - it might be more trouble than just waiting. Really got my fx for you though x

This is a nice group, I'm really glad to have 'met' you all as well. Sorry for the rant just so angry and disappointed and utterly in despair x

Rememberallball · 17/04/2015 14:47

Hello ladies, jumping in on the wait here. We decided back in September to wait no longer before ttc and the wait started for depo to be out of my system and for nature to be ready. As there was nothing by Christmas we saw GP for advice (are both over 40) who said, if nothing by March, he'd start investigating.

March arrived and, apart from a norethisterone withdrawl bleed, nothing happening. Had been pee-ing on opk's in case something happened but nothing so kept appointment with GP who arranged loads of bloods and then said to see him end of this month for results.

Had bloods taken 23/03 and put note in diary to book appointment for results. On 30/03 had first natural visit from AF and, when that finished after 3 days (short and light for me by history) I started pee-ing on opk's again. Got massive +ve this monday so shocked as never got past feint line. Been dtd since and now counting down tgw days until I can poas.

What's the earliest day I can do this? I think dpo 8 from what others have said but am unsure! ! DP asked me today when is the earliest I can! !

diamondsparkles · 17/04/2015 13:31

Hi sleeping - nothing come through on my inbox yet - has it definitely sent? Planning for a holiday sounds like a really good idea, something to focus on and look forward to- where are you thinking of going? Xx
Hi ickle- oh no, what horrible limbo for you, no wonder you're fed up Sad, have you tested again today? I'm okay, really sad inside but putting a brave face on it. We told a couple of friends when we first started ttc but they've given up asking how it's going now and I really wish we hadn't said anything, so I can't really talk to anyone about it. I don't know anyone in real life who's going through this as pregnancy seems to happen almost instantly for everyone around me. This board has been so good for me and I'm so pleased to have 'met' you all so I can talk about it!
Haquoi - are you okay? Xx

Icklepickle101 · 17/04/2015 13:03

Sleeping where are you thinking of going? It will do you good to have some 'you time' and a chance to chill xx

Haquoi I'm so so sorry, it must be heartbreaking, I'll be there with you for the next cycle.

Diamond how are you doing?

As for me I'm still in limbo, bleed after bd'ing last night for about an hour and now nothing. I'm really fed up, just want AF to get here so I can focus on next month as I'm sure if I was pregnant I would have had my bfp by now Sad

Sleepingbunnies · 17/04/2015 12:34

I am low but I am focussing on planning a holiday for August. That's cheering me up slightly. Take time for you. Sent you a PM X

diamondsparkles · 17/04/2015 09:51

Thanks sleeping it's just horrible isn't it x
How are you feeling now?

Sleepingbunnies · 17/04/2015 09:15

diamond know the feelings so well x

diamondsparkles · 17/04/2015 09:01

Fingers crossed for you Ella - when are you going to test?

EllaBella1 · 17/04/2015 08:48

9dpo here ladies. Temp has been falling since 6dpo but still a over cover line. Mmmmmmmm!

diamondsparkles · 17/04/2015 07:28

Oh haquoi, I'm so very sorry to hear that. Life really does suck sometimes, much love to you. Yes do keep trying, I know it's devastating but you will get there. Look after yourself Flowers. How are you this morning? Are you still bleeding as much?
Thank you for your kind words again - you do say some wise words. Yes I will keep trying, would regret it far too much if I don't.
Xx
