I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

Hi haquoi - yes I think stress plays a huge part, sounds like it for you and me. I'm very stressed about other things going on in my life and it really doesn't help. I'm not sure if they can be wrong, other months I've got a peak but then not got a bfp at the end so who knows. I would definitely recommend reflexology, it is very relaxing and good for you. I can understand you feeling like that after what you've been through, it must be so difficult for you, but try to stay positive lovely - whenever you need to talk about things you've got this thread. I didn't dtd yesterday either - dh refused! So we're in the same boat there as well as being cycle buddies xx

haquoi123 · 01/05/2015 08:16

I'm so sorry diamond, that truly annoying. Can ov kits be wrong? I think my body is doing something similar, I've had ewcm for a week and a half now, it's not going dry so I'm not ovulating. It's definitely stress though. I think I might try reflexology. I'm also giving up, I didn't want to dtd yesterday. (we did the day before) part of me is not even sure I want to get pregnant anymore, more trouble than its worth. The likelihood of it surviving... Well, not sure if I'm strong enough to deal with that again.

finding best of luck! How long did your Dr make you wait before clomid?

Good luck brown! Tell us asap, oh the suspense! ;)

diamondsparkles · 01/05/2015 07:43

Good luck brown !! I'm keeping everything crossed for you - let us know. When are you getting the tests?
How is everyone? I'm very fed up - still no positive ovulation here so looks like the whole cycle is a waste of time this month. Gutted because of reflexology etc but my body doesn't want to do what every other woman (so it seems) can do Sad

browneyedgirl86 · 30/04/2015 21:30

Yeah he's fine, he's just a bit scared of his trailer, shame as he loves going out its just getting there!

Yeah I am getting a bit antsy to test. When I was watching the showjumping all I could think about was where my AF is! Going to pick up some Superdrug tests tomorrow. I am dying to test but I'm also scared, we knew I would have trouble conceiving and that I might need help so I'm trying not to get too excited!

An oh no, nothing worse when your in the mood and he isn't! Do you have time tomorrow? Sorry no idea how the ov sticks work. Keep meaning to try it but think I would become more obsessed than I am now!

diamondsparkles · 30/04/2015 20:23

brown - oh my goodness - I'd be dying to test now if I was in your position! Will you get chance to get one in the morning? Hope your horse is feeling better at least Smile
I loved the reflexology - I was a bit funny about the whole feet thing too but it actually feels so relaxing. She asked me loads of questions about my cycle etc and general health and was really thorough. I've booked to go a week on Monday too and she said that session would be different as I would be at a different part in my cycle - hopefully there is some truth in it all.
However unfortunately dh has knocked me back tonight!!! I said I was all relaxed etc etc but he said he couldn't manage it as he's too tired - nooooo!! Men shouldn't be able to turn us down at this vital part of the cycle! So not very impressed Angry

browneyedgirl86 · 30/04/2015 20:00

Hi Diamond not yet, I didn't get time, had to go to the yard from work And by time I finished convincing my horse there are no scary red monsters in his trailer we didn't get time to go to Superdrug. Only thing now open is Asda. Will go tomorrow if AF is still awol.

How was the reflexology? I've always wondered what it's like but bit squeamish about anyone touching my feet.

I know what you mean Finding it's so nice to chat to others in the same boat as it were, between weddings and baby talk, I must be a right bore for my DP!

diamondsparkles · 30/04/2015 19:48

finding - that's exciting you're starting clomid! I know what you mean - I really like chatting to you ladies - it helps a lot and you're a lovely bunch Grin
brown - it's the superdrug early ones - they've got a pink handle - not digital ones. Have you bought any more tests?!
sleeping - don't be too hard on yourself - the second week of a diet is always hard, but you'll have a good loss next week.
remember - good that the results were normal for that stage. Sounds like they're exploring everything for you which is good. Good luck for tomorrow morning.
mrsv - welcome to this thread! So you're day 7 of tww? Not long to wait then. When are you going to test? I've been ttc 10 months now and will be in 2ww in the next few days - if my body decides to get off its arse and ovulate too!!
In my news I had my second session of reflexology today - was so relaxing, I dozed off! She concentrated on the bits on my feet that are for the ovaries etc - let's hope it worked some magic in there!!

findingmyfeet12 · 30/04/2015 19:18

Evening all,

Just been catching up with your posts. I've never considered chatting online about this but this is really keeping me upbeat. Otherwise I'd just be chatting to DH about it non-stop which would drive us both mad.

Update here is that I'm taking clomid for the first time tonight. I thought it was 50mg but it's actually 100mg (doh). I'm feeling pretty positive with the only drawback being the prospect of undesirable side effects.

haquoi123 · 30/04/2015 18:05

Good luck for tomorrow remember x

haquoi123 · 30/04/2015 17:25

sleeping don't give up! Weight goes on and off, take it slow, something you can keep going in the longterm. My mum walks for ten mins every day and had lost a stone just doing that. You've been doing great :)

Hi Mrsv, nice of you to join us! I'm not quite in the 2ww yet, possibly another week to go if my body gets off its arse and starts ovulating. How're you holding up with it?

browneyedgirl86 · 30/04/2015 16:42

Sorry to hear your appointment was cancelled rememberalll

Good luck with the appointment tomorrow!

Hi mrsV how are you? I'm past my 2ww although AF is still missing, wish it would hurry up and arrive so I can move on to cycle 7 or I get a bfp but I'm not so sure!

Hope your feeling better sleepingbunnies

MrsV2012 · 30/04/2015 16:18

Hi, I'm day 7 of 2ww, have been TTC for 18months now..can I join you all please?!

Rememberallball · 30/04/2015 16:01

Afternoon all. Nearing the end of another week and the start of cycle 2 opks tomorrow!!

Diamond I had "all the usual" blood tests done because AF hadn't made an appearance sincenot having depo in September when DP and I decided to ttc. As I'm over 40 I only had to be ttc for 6 months before starting the road to investigating why things weren't happening. As luck would have it AF arrived exactly a week after the bloods were done so all tests are lp in my cycle but there was no +ve opk in March.

I had the physical results back and all were normal for that stage of my cycle except for testosterone level which was low and, consequently, they couldn't calculate my androgen free index. No idea what that actually means until I see gp. Unfortunately that isn't now today as my GP has been called away to an emergency so cancelled afternoon surgery. I'm booked in to see him tomorrow morning after a hospital appointment so will find out then what the plan is.

Sleepingbunnies · 30/04/2015 15:37

So 4lb loss last week and Iv been so good and for what? I'm back to 4lbs on again. Don't know why I bother. Ready to give up on it all :(

browneyedgirl86 · 30/04/2015 14:17

Is that Superdrug digital ones? Does that even exist? I've heard people saying digital ones aren't as accurate but I have no idea if that's right.

Diamond It's not sad, it's normal! As long as you smile and nod in all the right places. This ttc business takes over your life!

I'm at work at the moment which is a good distraction.

diamondsparkles · 30/04/2015 13:16

brown that sounds very promising - I agree with haquoi- the superdrug ones are the most sensitive- go and get one!
I've just been in a very boring work meeting - and my mind was of course wandering to ttc - I'm so sad but I was wondering whether I would actually ovulate soon etc etc Smile, good job people can't read minds!!

browneyedgirl86 · 30/04/2015 12:03

Ah that's good to know thanks haquoi

If nothing has changed by the weekend I shall buy one. I'm a total novice at this. Not normally this late so buying tests isn't something I'm used too!

haquoi123 · 30/04/2015 11:58

(pretty cool about the horses though :) ) yeah, I was 10 days late once with bfns and so researched the best pg tests - superdrug comes out tops!

browneyedgirl86 · 30/04/2015 11:41

Are they really? I didn't know that. I got a Boots own brand one yesterday that said bfn. Still have one so I can retest in a few days.

Not going to ride tonight, going to take my horse down and let another woman at my yard ride him, it's not a major event and he needs the exercise!

haquoi123 · 30/04/2015 10:21

Yes tests can be wrong, I wouldn't ride until you know for certain. Try a superdrug own brand test, they're the most sensitive (got me my chemical pregnancy)

browneyedgirl86 · 30/04/2015 09:46

It all sounds positive Diamond!

How are we all this Morning?

I'm now on Day 5. Still no sign of AF! Only thing I feel right is very tired and a bit sick. But that could be either or. I would rather know for certain. I'm supposed to be going to a show jumping event tonight and I would rather not ride if I am pregnant!
Can tests be wrong?

diamondsparkles · 30/04/2015 09:33

Good to hear Grin!!
A flashing smiley means high fertility but not peak, you should get 2 days of flashing then the fixed smiley which is peak (apparently anyway). But last month I got no flashing but a fixed smiley - so totally confusing!! So dh is not off the hook for a few nights yet Shock!

haquoi123 · 30/04/2015 09:06

What does a flashing smiley face mean? And yes, my man mucked well last night :) x

diamondsparkles · 30/04/2015 08:51

Morning!
haquoi yes it's good to hear it's not just us that don't do the romance bit! I know, was so naive in the past - all those years on the pill were for nothing! I'm never using contraception again either.
Second flashing smiley here today, I'm very confused - it's CD15 so I'm not sure if I'll even get a peak fertility tomorrow- poor dh - that'll mean at least another 3 nights of dtd!! Did you get your man muck last night?!
sleeping - hope you're making most of fertile week!

haquoi123 · 30/04/2015 08:27

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who has taken romance out of the equation! Before we conceived DS, DH and I wanted to just have sex and not check ovulation, or make it stressy. We conceived first cycle. Now that just feels like a dream, a naive dream that we could have been so lucky and unstressed, and a blip. I've decided I'm never using contraception again - I'm having my children whenever and I don't want to think about it! Certainly not enjoying this journey (apart from you all) and looking forward to it being over. (very aware that I'll probably change my mind)

Yes that's really hard browneyed. I'm not sure i could be there for someone,it's good that you're trying. But be good to yourself and open with how much you can/want to comfort.

Hello sleeping, nice to hear from you again! :)

diamond any luck on the opk?
