I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

Morning - how is everyone?
Still no ovulation here Sad, can't believe it - in my other failed cycles at least I had positive ovulation tests - now I don't even have that this month. So fed up. Beginning to think what's the point now.
haquoi - I know - it's not like they have any of the stress is it?
brown - any news?

haquoi123 · 01/05/2015 23:14

That's hard when they don't want to dtd. It's not like they have to deal with the baby making hormones and stress of suspense and failure, (and that's not including the actual pregnancy of it happens!). All they have to do is have an orgasm. Boohoo! What hardship! I have no sympathy. Whatsoever. and then she let's DH off when he's in a bad mood because she feels guilty for harassing him

browneyedgirl86 · 01/05/2015 21:57

Thanks ladies. I'm feeling a bit better. Still no AF. DP is being very understanding which is nice. Haven't told DPs family as neither of us wanted too until there were news.

diamond Your DH sounds like mine. That's the kind of thing he says!

Thanks everyone xx

diamondsparkles · 01/05/2015 21:28

brown - how are you feeling now? I'm gutted for you, it's so disappointing. I bet that's the last thing you feel like doing - being around DP's pregnant sister all weekend Sad
I feel like that about a work colleague who is pregnant because she was on the pill and had a tummy bug so the pill didn't work!!! Unbelievable - I have to listen to a million pregnancy symptoms all the time.
Hope you're feeling a little bit better, difficult I know Flowers

diamondsparkles · 01/05/2015 21:22

haquoi - you are hilarious!! Reclaim the vag!! I love it!! And well done you for rooting around up there - I wimp out of stuff like that but you have a fair point Grin
Well the romance continues in this house:-
DH- I'm not having a shower after work
Me - well we're still doing it tonight
DH - okay well jump on then
.......... Afterwards
DH- so what does the sex diary look like now? When can we stop?
Me - well we should do it tomorrow and Sunday too to be sure
DH - no way, I'm having a night off tomorrow I'm knackered......
Confused

haquoi123 · 01/05/2015 18:47

Best of luck with your sil brown, I'm sorry that that is all happening now. Could you tell her maybe? If it gets too much, honesty might be best.

I wish I had found my cervix, but not quite. I'll try again tomorrow and see - will let you know how it goes!

remember, I hope you get some answers then!

Rememberallball · 01/05/2015 14:49

Hi haquoi, I will be d21 in 13 days time so bloods that day and results available about a week later. In meantime DP will register at my GP surgery and supply a 'sample' of swimmers for analysis!! Oh joy!!

browneyedgirl86 · 01/05/2015 14:37

It's ok finding it's not bad advice. I appreciate it.
I know the most logical thing is to re do it tomorrow morning with the first wee of the day. I suppose I'm just worried that AF has done a bunk and its relating to something else other than pregnancy with my health history.

Yup haquoi 6 days late, still no sign of it unless you count feeling sick, being over emotional and feeling tired but that could be either or. I'm embarrassed there were tears when I got my bfn!

I have the doctors on Tuesday but that's for a vitamin B injection. I'm due to see my GP on the 15, that was booked a few weeks ago!

On a totally unrelated topic I'm impressed you found your cervix huquoi I tried feeling for mine and I couldn't find it! Blush

Thanks for all the kind words ladies, we are off to stay with DPs parents for the weekend so if AF is going to arrive it can bugger off till Sunday. The last thing I feel like doing is playing nice with DPs pregnant sister all weekend who only mentions it 1 billion times a day

I need to pull myself together!

findingmyfeet12 · 01/05/2015 14:10

Sorry about your bfn Browneyed. It must be so frustrating thinking you've not been able to do the test properly.

I would say to try not to think about it but I know that's the worst advice ever.

haquoi123 · 01/05/2015 14:09

Hi brown, so sorry to hear that. And fed up, yes, I feel you. Maybe check in with your doctor and get a blood test? Then you'll know for certain. Are you six days late now?

Thanks finding, glad my little discoveries are helpful in the humour department :) I usually wimp out at going up there, but what with all the things going on in the last year, I figured I might as well get to know it as well as the hundreds of doctors who've shoved fingers and implements up there. Reclaim the vag!

A chemical pregnancy is an arse of an event. You get pregnant, but something goes wrong at implantation. If you're unlucky, like me, you do a test because all the symptoms are so strong and if you're not pregnant then you'll eat something unedible, like a hat, or a tree, and you get a positive test. Then your period comes and because it's so early the doctors don't count it as a miscarriage, but it bloody well feels like one. To be fair, they were very nice about it. So I highly recommend not testing before AF is due, because it's not worth the bother.

diamondsparkles · 01/05/2015 14:08

Oh brown that's so disheartening Sad, no wonder you're so fed up. The disappointment is terrible isn't it. Maybe try again in the morning if still no af. That 5 second thing might have had an impact on it though. I've gone through that feeling a million times over the last few months though, it's horrible x

browneyedgirl86 · 01/05/2015 13:46

Hi Ladies,

Just tested using the super drug test and its bfn. Only thing that possibly could have an impact on this is that is said to hold it in your urine for 10 seconds and it turns out as much as I needed the toilet (or should I say thought I did) there wasn't enough to last 10 seconds I would say maybe 5 seconds. Sorry tmi.

I'm just completely fed up of it all.

findingmyfeet12 · 01/05/2015 13:37

Haquoi - your post made me lol! I don't think I could do an internal examination. I'd wimp out. I check cm externally and have only recently started taking proper note. Although we've been trying for 7 years it's only recently that we feel more of an urgency (clock is ticking a bit).

Remember - it sounds as though things are moving on and you're at least getting to see the right people for your treatment.

Sorry to sound dim but what is a "chemical pregnancy"?

haquoi123 · 01/05/2015 13:30

finding, sorry to hear you've been waiting 7 years, but great news about your doctor being so helpful! I absolutely have my fingers crossed that clomid will do the trick for you. It's sounds like the french health system will look after you well!

remember they have you in the system and that's the best thing ever. Once you're in the system, the doctors really look after you. When do you have the next lot of tests?

TMI alert. Ok, so I've been researching how to chart properly (without opks) and usually when I look at my CM I just check the toilet tissue and see whatever makes its way out. But I read that you can check internally too and so I did. I feel quite pleased with myself. I don't think I found my cervix, but I managed to check out the CM - clear and watery. So fertile time, yay! (I mean I knew that, it's been fertiling up there for the last week or so). Sorry if other people do this regularly, I just don't tend to put my fingers up there v often... Little victories (?!)

Brown, how is it with you?

diamondsparkles · 01/05/2015 12:45

remember - I think that sounds not too bad, if that test was done like you say in the month when you didn't ovulate then that could be the reason for the results and yes you've had progress since then! Sounds like they are being thorough too with further tests so that's good too Smile
Hi finding - fingers crossed for the clomid for you, sorry to hear you've been trying 7 years, at least now you're getting help which is good.
brown - any news??!!!

findingmyfeet12 · 01/05/2015 12:30

Afternoon ladies,

Good luck everyone wherever you are in your cycle.

Haquoi - we live in Paris and were really surprised to get an appointment with a fantastic expert almost immediately. He was recommended to us by a doctor friend. We didn't need a referral from our family doctor and contacted the hospital direct. Once we had done all the tests that the doctor ordered, he put us on 3 cycles of clomid 100mg straight away. We have been trying for 7 years now so maybe that's why he didn't make us wait. if the clomid fails then it will be IVF.

I don't know what it's like to have fertility treatment in the uk but here we were invited to a one hour lecture in the hospital and given all the information about the IVF process. There was an opportunity to ask the expert any questions at the end as well.

Rememberallball · 01/05/2015 11:17

Well, am back from the Drs and it's mixed answers!!

Low testosterone is a red herring result and gp not worried. However, my progesterone level IS too low and indicative of follicular phase not luteal phase of my cycle - worryimg given bloods were done 7 days pre-AF. This could mean I'm not ovulating or could mean I'd have difficulty implanting a fertilised egg. On the good dide of that particular coin is that, in March when bloods were done, I didn't get +ve opks so didn't think I'd ov'd. This month I got a definite +ve opk so that's progress.

Next step is more bloods at D21 for me and checks for DP to make sure all is ok in that department!! Then the gp will refer us to the regional consultant not just the local hospital - and gp told me his name so I can look him up!!

diamondsparkles · 01/05/2015 10:22

brown - lol!! That's what I'm doing and it's not easy at work on phone!!!
Good luck - keep us updated - I'm so excited for you!!!

browneyedgirl86 · 01/05/2015 10:16

Arrggh some of my post makes no sense, this will teach me to post at work on a phone!

browneyedgirl86 · 01/05/2015 10:15

That won't help, not hat!

browneyedgirl86 · 01/05/2015 10:15

Morning Ladies!

I haven't bought the new test yet. Finish work just before lunch so will buy one then and find out. Still no AF. Had a few twinges but nothing exciting to report. If it's negative then I guess there's other reasons why it could be awol, it's starting to worry me and hat won't help.

We have not been trying for just over 6 months I never realised how much this takes out of you emotionally. And that's before you get pregnant.

But it is nice to know others are having the same feelings and I'm not totally abnormal.

diamondsparkles · 01/05/2015 09:56

Good that you've got osteopath booked and brilliant news about reflexology! Lol, I know what you mean about bank account though - not good for that!
Unfortunately can't go away at the mo but will consider it in future months Smile x

diamondsparkles · 01/05/2015 09:55

Stupid posting before I've finished ......

diamondsparkles · 01/05/2015 09:54

Thanks haquoi. That was nice from your dh! It is hard carrying the burden, I agree. That is frustrating about not being able to run - I'm the same - it feels good to exercise but when I don't have time or my joints are playing up - recently diagnosed with arthritis - it's very frustrating. Good that

haquoi123 · 01/05/2015 09:42

Thanks diamond. I didn't even try DH yesterday, he was in such a bad mood. Just after my post this morning he surprised me by initiating though, which was nice. It's hard carrying the burden of deciding when all the time, especially if you're feeling down! I'm also pissed that I can't go running. My shins are playing up and walking also makes them worse. I've never craved exercise before! But, doctors next week, osteopath next week and I'm going to book in for reflexology as well (I've found one who specialises in fertility!). My poor, ravaged bank account Confused

Do you have the option of going away for a couple of days, even if camping or visiting friends? I found that helped my stress last cycle and probably contributed to the chemical pregnancy. But then the reflexology is probably just as good, if not better x
