I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

Morning all. Had a few bad days after Saturday and got very moody - could have picked a fight in an empty room at one point!! Really dodgy stomach on Tuesday so hardly ate anything and had 2 very early nights. Feel more positive today - dp and I even managed a good evening together iykwim!!

Today is 5-6dpo and I'm due d21 bloods next Thursday but, after last month's 25 day cycle and a 13 day luteal phase, af could be due next weekend. Feeling nothing compared to last month when I couldn't let anything touch my breasts and was off the wine!!

Think I may bbt next month.

browneyedgirl86 · 06/05/2015 23:34

I would love to get an appointment earlier but that's the earliest they could give me. I have been told I can call every day first thing but my work really don't like that then I'm meant to be working and if they offer me a morning appointment I can't go as won't be able to get the time. So it's catch 22.

It is ridiculous though as the wait for the blood test will be long enough. My DP is doing his best to distract me but I think he feels pretty down. I just feel pretty inadequate. I knew I would have trouble conceiving, well I will have trouble but this AF no show is like a big shadow hanging over me. I mean I assume unless I'm like my sister I'm not pregnant so will my next AF come in 28 days/whenever it feels like it?? I hate being unprepared.

Thanks everyone this is helping though.

welcome xmum Any early symptoms so Far? I too am impressed at every day for 30 days! Sounds tiring.

Glad you had such a good experience at reflexology Haquoi

diamond how are you doing?

finding that's a shame about your acupuncture appointment, I've never had one one, my sister have and said they were really good!

findingmyfeet12 · 06/05/2015 23:01

Hello ladies,

Your reflexology sounds amazing haquoi. I have an acupuncture session booked for next month but due to work commitments I think i'll have to cancel it.

Welcome xmum. Every day for 30 days sounds exhausting!

diamondsparkles · 06/05/2015 22:29

haquoi - wow, I am delighted to hear it went so well. That about the joy of your son coming out is brilliant and must have made you feel good. I can't tell you how pleased I am you had such a great experience. Thank you, yes am having a nice relaxing night. Sleep well, I'm sure you will, after my first session I slept like a log! Xx

haquoi123 · 06/05/2015 22:21

Hi xmum!

Oh brown, that sounds so awful. I agree with diamond about trying to get to see your GP sooner - it's a very long time to wait! No it doesn't sound silly not to test, it's all about what you can take and if not testing helps, then that's great. How's your OH doing with it all?

My reflexology session was amazing. The reflexologist specialises in fertility and maternity and was wonderful and understanding. The best bit about it (apart from feeling all relaxed and in a better mood now) was that I reacted by have a laughing fit - genuine, bubbly giggles that came from absolutely nowhere and were overwhelming, on two occasions. I said to her after that I thought it was weird that my reaction would have been to laugh (I wholly expected to break down in tears), but she said something wonderful: that it could be the joy of my son that was finally coming out, that hasn't been able to because of all of the pain. If it hadn't been such a strange reaction I wouldn't have agreed, but me, laughing whole-heartedly at nothing - that's not me at the moment. I feel so grateful to her for allowing me to feel that. Wow, I definitely recommend reflexology.

Also, she mentioned two things about ttc: 1) charting (rather than opks) allows you to pinpoint your usual day of ovulating, but you only need to do it for three or so months. I read elsewhere that charting is the only thing that can tell you that you definitely ovulated, rather than predicting. So that's me next month.
2) she recommended she-oak, a supplement. She told me just to look it up and make the decision for myself, but she said its great for calming the mind and balancing the body (and also safe for pregnancy).

I'm off to sleep a nice long sleep. Man I feel good. Thanks so much diamond for recommending. Also, spotting can be a good sign. Very often it is. I hope you can take some time for yourself tonight xx

Hope you're alright remember and ickle and sleeping

diamondsparkles · 06/05/2015 22:11

Hi xmumof! Welcome to this lovely thread Smile
Every day for 30 days??!!! That's very impressive - my dh would move out if I suggested that!
Exciting then - yes superdrug are the most sensitive I've heard. Any symptoms?
haquoi - how was the reflexology?

xmumof2angelzx · 06/05/2015 21:18

Hi all, just joined this 18 pages In-sorry! My situation is that i am on cd 27 and only had ewcm last week so possibly 7dpo today today or thereabouts. i am irregular-roughly 30 day cycle but last month only 22 day cycle! Anyway have no idea really! All i know is that i have 2 girls and with both i fell pregnant in the first month but this was via bd every day for 30 days! not quite up to that these days haha! bfn today (cheapie ebay test) but i know its too soon anyway. Only bd 5 times this month and only decided to have our 3rd on cycle day 13 so this month might be a write off. will buy a superdrug test on friday as i here they are the most sensitive.

diamondsparkles · 06/05/2015 20:39

Thanks brown - yes it's very confusing sometimes when our bodies don't behave like they should.
I'm so sorry to hear you're still stuck in this limbo. No wonder you're so fed up. Is there any way you can get to see your dr earlier, that seems such a long time to wait

browneyedgirl86 · 06/05/2015 17:34

Hi everyone,

Haquoi I'm glad the appointment with the Dr went well, it's awful that you were treated that way by your mental health team at such a devastating time, I'm glad your GP understands and will feed it back. I hope you enjoy reflexology.

You never know diamond with the spotting. It's not always bad. I know how annoying it is when your body seems to be marching to a different tune.

As for me still no AF, I've given up looking for it. I feel exhausted and sick all the time and my chest is really sore but still not a hint she's on her way. Haven't tested again as (as dramatic as this sounds) I really can't face another bfn. It's like my body is playing tricks on me. All I can do is wait till I see the doctor, be referred for blood test and go from there.

I'm just feeling really fed up with the whole thing.

diamondsparkles · 06/05/2015 15:42

haquoi - I'm so glad your GP is going to help you. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with the mental health service at such an awful time, you are so strong having been through all that. PTSD is very likely too after it all and that's something you will need help with too. At least your GP is listening to you now xx
Hope reflexology goes well tonight - let us know!!
Your symptoms sound promising, I know you don't want to get too excited but I am for you.
Thank you for your support - I guess I feel any sign of any spotting means another failure for me this month. No cant dtd tonight - DH on a night shift so no chance

haquoi123 · 06/05/2015 10:47

Also, diamond, I wouldn't give up, spotting can mean so many different things. Can you dtd tonight?

haquoi123 · 06/05/2015 10:45

Thanks diamond. I woke up this morning feeling groggy and exhausted as hell (despite 9 hours sleep) and felt barely able to stomach water and crackers. I couldn't say it felt like ms, but I did wonder. Much better now though. I went to the GP today (had an appointment left over from the chemical pregnancy) and we talked about how I've been coping since DS died. It was really useful actually - I'd had a bad experience with the NHS mental health service (they essentially said that my grief was normal and they couldn't help me without actually assessing me, despite my GP telling me to go) - and GP was mortified to hear that and is going to write to them. She also asked me about my flashbacks and mentioned PTSD (I've been telling whoever will listen that I think I have PTSD, but so far no one does anything about it), so it feels like something might happen to help me out with that. So it's been a good morning so far. And then reflexology tonight! Weeee!

diamondsparkles · 06/05/2015 08:02

Morning everyone!
How is everyone today?
haquoi - it was just a couple of specks of blood in the cm (tmi!) - thinking back I've had it on other months but it's never led to a bfp so I would tend to think of it as a negative thing. You could be right about the surge being too short for the tests to pick up in which case I've no idea how many dpo I am if it did happen. Having said that our last dtd was Sunday because of dh's shifts so if it was a late ovulation we missed it anyway - why is it all so complicated?!
I am thinking of next cycle though, onwards and upwards.
I know you don't want to get too excited given what's happened before but I have to say I think it sounds really promising for you and I am really hoping the sickness feeling will mean a bfp for you x

haquoi123 · 05/05/2015 23:00

Hi finding - I know what you mean about hope. Were the doctors positive about your chances on comid? Do they know why things are taking a while? I absolutely have my fingers crossed that this will work out for you. It's good to have a plan as well.

brown that's really annoying, sorry to hear that. How're you holding up?

diamond, is it a tiny bit of spotting? I read somewhere that the opks detect only the surge in the gear up to ov, so they don't say for definite if you've ovulated or not. I wouldn't count this month out necessarily. The spotting might be ovulation spotting. Or your surge could just have been not as big as usual...

I had a bit more ms feeling today and got v hungry. It feels like it did last month, but I'm not going to get excited. If it doesn't come of anything I'd rather not know.

ickle any news?

diamondsparkles · 05/05/2015 20:44

No it's not uncommon but with my very short cycle last month I thought this month would be a good one - obviously not!
I can imagine your worry but you've got the clomid for 3 cycles? I would be the same about building my hopes up too but it might just take a couple of months to get into your system? Of course I'm hoping it won't take that long for you and your first cycle will be the one though. When will you be testing?

findingmyfeet12 · 05/05/2015 20:31

I thought it was not uncommon to have months when no ovulation occurs?

I can see how frustrating it must be though. I'm worried I'll feel like giving up after this cycle because dh and I have, despite trying not to, really built up our hopes about the clomid. I don't know how I'll feel when I get a negative result.

diamondsparkles · 05/05/2015 20:14

Finding - it's the clearblue ones I used where you get the blank circle or flashing face for high fertility and the static face for peak fertility- last month and the month before I got the peak fertility symbols but not this month so I presume they work okay. It's so frustrating- I feel like giving up

findingmyfeet12 · 05/05/2015 20:05

Diamond how accurate are those ovulation tests?

diamondsparkles · 05/05/2015 19:51

Sorry to hear you have to wait brown - how frustrating for you.
finding - that sounds very positive and must feel better that you've got a plan like that.
How are you haquoi - anymore sickness feeling?
I don't know what to think - had a tiny bit of red spotting today - really don't understand? I didn't get the positive ovulation test this month and am on cycle day 20? Surely it's not an early af? Last month was early at 25 days but that's ridiculous- feeling very despondent Sad

findingmyfeet12 · 05/05/2015 17:52

Hello ladies,

I've only had late AF once in my life and it was two weeks late. Hope you get some answers soon Ickle and Browneyed.

The clomid stimulates ovulation. I've been prescribed 100mg day 3-7 and oestrogen day 11-16. Alongside this I have to take frolic acid and vitamin e daily.

We have to make sure we dtd regularly from about day 10-11 onwards.

I have three cycles of clomid and if it doesn't work the next step will be IVF.

browneyedgirl86 · 05/05/2015 17:27

Thanks!

I'm just back, they couldn't test my blood without the GP referral so looks like it will be a wait to the 15th. I haven't tested today.

diamondsparkles · 05/05/2015 09:41

Well done haquoi! I haven't tried to find mine yet! I know what you mean about having hopes dashed, I am hoping for you though with the morning sickness flashback.
Good luck brown - hope they don't make you wait

haquoi123 · 05/05/2015 09:35

Well I think I'm officially in the tww as well going by the cm I found. DH and I haven't dtd in two days :s poor man is ill and overworked with it and I just can't be bothered!

Although, I had another morning sickness flashback this morning - really tiny and faint. Part of me is cross - I absolutely don't want to get my hopes up. I'm enjoying the idea of giving up on this month, I don't want to have the hopes dashed yet again.

browneyedgirl86 · 05/05/2015 09:15

Well done haquoi! I still can't find mine.

Thanks Diamond It wouldn't surprise me if they make me get a GPs referral (my doctors can be a right pain) but I'm going to ask. It's now day ten and still no af. Not even a hint it's on its way!

diamondsparkles · 05/05/2015 08:54

Morning!
I'm okay - in the boring wait for af now til I can start my new cycle.
Yes hope you can get your blood test today brown - you'll just have to say how distressed it is making you and hopefully they will do it, seems silly to have to wait for gp. Let us know how you get on
