I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

Welcome bell, how long have you been ttc?

I'm up again at stupid o'clock this morning (as you can tell from my previous post). Last few mornings I've been up naturally at various times earlier than 6.30am, earlier than DH (he's the weird morning person). This is not me, usually it takes an hour of alarm clock snooze-hitting before I can even open my eyes! Only other times I've had this have been when I was pg with DS. Or it could be the worrying about taking my temp (bit more normal today) or this blasted cold. So many ifs!! DH & I decided that testing Friday would be bad - he's going away for the weekend - so I'm testing this morning. Or rather I'm going to leave a pot of wee out and DH will test it for me. I can't bring myself to do it!
Cd48/49, 18/19 days late

haquoi123 · 03/06/2015 05:26

Oh finding, I'm so sorry! This ttc business is so hard and you've had one of the hardest journeys. Hope is also a difficult and painful thing, especially if it keeps being dashed. Only you know whether IVF is for you and absolutely if you decide not to go for it that's a valid decision. There's still time (and hope) before you have to make that decision. Look after yourself finding, you absolutely deserve your bfp and the best support in the meantime - people talk to me about strength but you've kept going longer than most of us and from my lowly 7 months of ttc I know it's only a strong person who can be where you are xxx

Lovelyjubbly95 · 02/06/2015 23:55

Oh findingmyfeet i don't even know what to say :( it will happen tho x

diamondsparkles · 02/06/2015 23:40

Sorry bellossom!

diamondsparkles · 02/06/2015 23:39

Welcome bellossum - good to have you here. It's very supportive here. How long have you been ttc? What date will you be testing?

diamondsparkles · 02/06/2015 23:37

finding - good to hear from you, I was wondering how you were getting on. So sorry to hear of af arriving though. I am so hoping for you on your second month of clomid - maybe you just needed the first month on it to get it all into your system properly. We're here for you and will listen to how you're feeling, I wish I could find more comforting words. Ttc is a horrible, lonely process. Try not to feel too down, much easier said than done I know

Bellossom · 02/06/2015 22:10

Joining a bit tentatively. We've not dtd much but it was good timing according to my dates. Won't be testing for two weeks though

fuzzywuzzy · 02/06/2015 22:06

Oh finding so sorry TTC is getting you down. Some months I feel like I'm permanently on the edge of tears. I hope this cycle works out for you.

My periods were super regular before I was TTC as well & never had any type of aches and pains it does feel that each month I get my hopes up only for it to come crashing down with af.

findingmyfeet12 · 02/06/2015 21:43

Hello everyone.

Sorry I've been absent but AF arrived a few days ago and I thought I was losing the plot. I totally lost it and was feeling really down).

I've started my second cycle of clomid and have my fingers crossed. I'm still petrified that it wont work and I don't think I've got it in me to continue ttc and go down the IVF route. I can't deal with the disappointment anymore.

All I can see is a lifetime without children and I don't think I can handle it.

birchygoo · 02/06/2015 21:39

grey I've seen so many people complaining about AF just going totally of wall when trying to conceive - do any of you think we are so anxious for out bfp that we are putting our body out of synch with stress? has happened me a few times as well..

birchygoo · 02/06/2015 21:37

Diana 33degrees! that did make me Grin never mind conceiving you need intensive care with that temp Grin Grin Grin did you try anyone else temp? maybe its just stuck on that..? is it also 2 decimal places?

Greyhorses · 02/06/2015 18:34

Hi everyone!

I'm having a strange cycle this month. Currently cd36 and have had cramping, pink/brown spotting. I'm convinced period is on its way and I have had two bfn! Not sure why it's decided to do this to me now as ive never had this before Hmm

Red193 · 02/06/2015 18:30

Hello all! CD6 so nothing to report here but I have started taking my temperature! It's my gerbils birthday today so been spoiling him rotten! Hope everyone is well and we get lots of BFP's this month! X

DianaOstara · 02/06/2015 18:21

CD6 for me...boring, boring, boring!! (you know by the end of my cycle il be bemoaning the emotional roller coaster) thank you birchy for keeping me :) with your funny antics! (And diamond too - love new thread name!)

haqoui you are a poas Saint! The book I'm reading gives very clear evidence that you can use temperature to tell if you're pregnant!! 18+ days of high temps post-ovulation. I've started temping with a very dodgy old ear thermometer (it says my temp is 33 Celsius - isn't that hypothermic?!) but at any rate it's been constant every morning this cycle so I'm hoping to be able to see my ovulation peak for the very first time!

fuzzy stabby pain sounds good (you know what I mean Grin ) fingers crossed for you too hewy and lovely

DH is super busy at work over next few weeks but really needs to book into the docs. We realised that since having dd, but before ttc #2, he visited the doctor about a testicular lump. Doc said nothing to worry about, just a vein called a varicole, but I just came across something which said these enlarged veins can inhibit sperm production so DH is going to go back to check.

fuzzywuzzy · 02/06/2015 13:12

Birchy good luck.

Haquoi as Diamond said a high temp is one of the signs, and I'm like Hewy POAS happily every day.

Diamond, I know how it feels, for a couple of month DP was away during OV even last month, but I think we BD very near OV so I got my (brief) BFP.

I've got a funny stabby pain on my left side today, started last night, feel it more when I'm resting, it comes and goes... so I told DP I think I have appendicitis (I googled)... he looked at me like Confused and asked if it was possible it could be anything else. Still BFN here (I'm meant to test daily form CD14 or DPO6 depending on which happens first). AF due on Saturday/Sunday

birchygoo · 02/06/2015 12:58

Haha hewy I can preach but wouldn't be able to wait that long either! Also I didn't realise that ad was due fri..! Yes I would test drive again!! I was basing on my cycle of ad due 14 days after ovulation.

I also like the name! diamond I am happy for you to set it up!

diamondsparkles · 02/06/2015 12:46

Lol that's funny birchy - and just the kind of thing I would do too! That's good you think it's your month - exciting!
haquoi - high temperature could be a good sign! Hope your cold disappears soon, I've got a bad cold too - not been able to taste anything for nearly a week now - had enough! I don't think we'll get chance, I work days and dh only gets home at midnight-3am so we'll both be too tired. Such a waste of a month though. I'm already planning next month with trying to do smep again Smile
I'm with you hewy - I'm a terrible poas-aholic!!!
Yes I like institute of bodies too - when we get to page 39 shall I try and set it up?? Unless anyone else wants to have a go?

hewy · 02/06/2015 12:35

birchy, 4-5 days is an absolute eternity! There's no way I can wait that long! I'll try to wait til Friday which is AF-due day. I can't say fairer than that!
Haquoi your will power is incredible. I'd be poas right, left and centre, either to track ov or pregnancy hormones. Perhaps your body is gearing up for ovulation (meaning after your chemical pregnancy, your body missed last ovulation in adjusting?) I'm completely guessing based on no knowledge, but either way, hope you get some answers. Def request a new doc.
I love the institute of bodies name. Makes us sound so grand!

Lovelyjubbly95 · 02/06/2015 12:34

Haquoi - im tempted to test early but its only a few days so ill stick it out.....

birchygoo · 02/06/2015 12:18

hewy most likely you are just to early! Tra again in 4-5days. Fx

haquoi have no idea why I have such brain fog. I have a slight sniffles but nothing drastic at all!

Af is due next mon/tue but I'm away with work from fri - mon so that is one way of stopping me from testing early! I don't want to do it when dh is not there as I want to be able to share it with him. I'm so convinced this is my month ... Not sure why.. No symptoms what so ever.

haquoi123 · 02/06/2015 12:12

Afternoon all! I'm on a day off with this blasted cold. My temp this morning almost went off the ff chart (it's dotted the line as it's so strange!)
cd47/8 depending on which app I go by and I last tested last Wednesday. I've decided I'm going to test on Friday (I think I've already said that). Had cramps again yesterday, but nothing so far today. Feel so ill I think I'd miss any symptoms! I don't expect to get a bfp though.

birchy that's hillarious! Anything in particular doing the brain addling?

hewy & lovely it's worthwhile waiting. I just looked back through the thread and found my chemical pregnancy test - that was at 9dpo, so it's not worthwhile.

diamond, I feel for you, it's so annoying when a month seems like its out. Is there any way you can slip in dtd once in the next week?

NAMES! Errr, 'Institute of bodies doing strange and unexpected things, but we're still gonna get out BFPs!' ??? Feel free to suggest better names :)

Lovelyjubbly95 · 02/06/2015 11:55

Yea going to wait til im late. Dont want to test early incase i disappoint myself! Sometimes I come onto my af a day late so always worth me waiting. My boobs aren't as tender as they wld be when im expecting af but never know. Apparently at 10dpo only certain preg tests will show you early bfps x

hewy · 02/06/2015 11:29

birchy I'm either 10 or 11dpo (I don't temp so not 100% sure-got +opk on Friday so I'm guessing ovulated on sat but could be fri or sun). Am so desperate to be pg-if only wishing it were enough!!

birchygoo · 02/06/2015 11:18

Im afraid I am not going to be much help - my brain is like a fog these days - said to dh I hope I get bfp so I can blame it on that!

I was getting into the car yesterday and put the wrong leg in first!!! So I was left kind of twisted and had to just remove myself from the car and start again lol

hewy how many dpo are you? I read the other day that only 10% of people who test 10dpo get their bfp at that stage

diamondsparkles · 02/06/2015 11:05

hewy - don't worry about bfn, it could just be too early. Fingers crossed for you! Smile
