Halfway through my TWW and looking for company. Anyone in the same boat?

I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

Hi Haquoi, I think my GP was basically saying that one month (or two) of not ovulating does not mean I never ovulate just that, on the months they've checked my progesterone levels, I've happened not to ovulate. He did say before this blood test that he had enough information/results to refer me to the specialist - the chap apparently specialises in fertility issues for older women and my GP respects him.

Now just got to get DP checked out to that his swimmers are top grade!! And wait for appointment to come through.

Thanks Haquoi! I've bought some tests with good reviews of Amazon to have in the cupboard that will be here by the weekend but I will still hold of testing x

red it's absolutely worthwhile waiting. I had a chemical pregnancy last month and only found out because my symptoms were crazy and I tested early. Not fun at all and not worth it.

Hi hewy, that's fab! Glad to hear DH is enjoying himself ;) You're in the best part of the cycle, I can't wait to get to that point again if this cycle doesn't work out. Fingers crossed for ov tomorrow!

Yes, camping...! It's a little festival so no flexibility! But despite freezing it should be good fun :) part of me would like to drink, and the other part of me would like not to have to deal with AF in the mud... So should be good either way :)

Thanks everyone! I think I am going to hold of testing until I am actually late. I think next Saturday morning if AF hasn't arrived by then. I wasn't sure if there were any good and reliable early detection tests so don't wanna crush my hopes with a false negative. I think I could get a positive on Sunday but scared to test x

Remember good to hear from you although sorry to hear your body is not behaving itself. Don't give up.
I'm hopefully ovulating tomorrow. Have ewcm today although my ov monitor was still negative this morning. Hoping for a smiley face this morning. Dh feels like a hero for his role in the SMEP! I think in a few more days he'll be exhausted and over it! I had a night before ovulation cocktail tonight so feeling happy :) !

Haquoi, camping?! Really? We had hail stones and pouring rain here yesterday, so not sure you're sensible camping!! But have fun and hope the BFP comes on Friday morning. x

Update from me: reflexologist came and was wonderful. She told me not to pre-empt AF and to just keep as calm about as possible (she also said she knew how hard that would be!). She said that it could be my body just trying to balance out with the reflexology - and, though not an exact science, I'm not ovulating now (phew!) She also mentioned trying a different pregnancy test. So my plan is to get through tomorrow, poas Friday morning. If bfn then I'll drink over the weekend when I'm camping, period or no. Strategies!! How're your evenings coming along?

Hello! First time TTC and 7dpo been noticing I am highly sensitive to smells (smoke and citrus making me gag and heave) and my boobs are like rocks they are so sore. Not sure if there are good signs or if it's in my head!

Ooh remember that sucks, I'm so sorry! Absolutely wallow - you're always so positive here, I'm sorry that those results have come back for you. I didn't understand what your GP said - are they basically not ruling anything out?

Hi Remember, sorry to hear about your troubles. I don't blame you for wanting to wallow. It's so frustrating when you don't ovulate, it's a case of not even having a chance.

Hopefully you'll get to see some specialists at the main hospital though and they'll be able to shed some light on what's going on.

Afternoon ladies,

Been a crazy couple of days at work with no breaks, working 10.5 hours with just driving time meaning I was out of the flat for over 13 hours yesterday!!

haquoi - I know - a rubbish start! I'm thinking about it seriously but I never go to the doctor for anything so something like this is really scary. It's admitting I've got a problem and I'm finding that hard to do.
That's strange about ewcm? How confusing - have you got any ovulation tests in you could take to check? I wonder if your chemical has affected your cycle? Hope you're okay x

Really? thats bizarre! i did notice that when i didn;t log the fact i had started AF when it wa due (the one that turne out to be missed) it did keep moving it so maybe it will 'regulate' itelf once you log the first actual day of your new AF (god forbid you get one)???

There's a chance I might be able to make it to my acupuncture appointment tomorrow. I guess that's something to look forward to.

haquoi - glad you're doing okay but I bet you are frustrated. At least you've got reflexology tonight, my next one is next week and I'm really looking forward to it.
Cd5 here - boring. Hate my stupid body, why can't it be normal and get pregnant like it should? Sorry, am in a bad mood which wasn't helped this morning when I was putting the cardboard out for recycling and tripped which threw the cardboard everywhere and it was torrential rain at the time and my heels got stuck in the grass - not a pretty sight!

Ah birchy I missed your post. It was due on Saturday cd30 (my average), so four days late. I don't know when I ovulated, but two Wednesdays ago my reflexologist said that I had, so it's at least 14dpo today.

I'm getting really nervous about testing tomorrow, I think I've got my hopes up to much. Maybe my dates are wrong? Argh!
