Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Easter Smile

Fx for you, Mumo Wink x

MrsMoo3 · 16/04/2015 18:52

Thank you for the advice about cm. haven't had anything like that so far...

Oh that's exciting mumof1. What symptoms did you get with your DD?

Leamice · 16/04/2015 18:30

Fingers crossed mumo, those symptoms sound good even if they are imaginary, making me excited for you. Smile

auxiliaryauroch · 16/04/2015 16:46

Thanks mumo. I didn't get any sleep but that's the way it goes right? :)
I really hope it's good news although I can understand the issue about imagining! Some ginger ale?

Mumof1sofar · 16/04/2015 14:07

Museli not myself! Damn autocorrect Smile

Mumof1sofar · 16/04/2015 14:03

Ahh aux, hope you managed to get some sleep after that. Dd was up feeding in the night too Sad

8dpo now & im feeling a little nautious on & off. I am so keen to be pg that I think I may be imagining it though & seeing 'symptoms' where there aren't any. Also I usually have myself for breakfast but the past 2 days all I've wanted is marmite on toast! Ugh I think I'm losing my mind! Roll on Tuesday when I can poas!

auxiliaryauroch · 16/04/2015 09:54

Hah how ironic this morning dc bf solidly from 3.30am to 5am. yawn

Mumof1sofar · 15/04/2015 22:49

Puggle my dd has been poorly & not taking as many solids so she has been bf-ing lots too.

auxiliaryauroch · 15/04/2015 22:20

Oh pug I know those long feed soo-ooooo well!

Swannykazoo · 15/04/2015 20:45

Cheers for that mrsmoo - that's the one- egg white cm. Generally looking for a feeling of wetness (though not in a randy situation, just in general) to go with it.
Hiya Beth - my wee one turns 16 months on the 22nd and AF is also absent, yet to return. Glad its not just me.

Today I did not express at lunchtime hip hip hooray - that's one feed down. Little puggle decided to feed from 5 to 5:45 non-stop when we got home so I can't see the old prolactin will have fallen much

Mumof1sofar · 15/04/2015 20:07

Welcome Beth & good luck Smile

auxiliaryauroch · 15/04/2015 20:01

Hi beth welcome welcome!
My af only came back four months ago after massively cutting down from on demand to two (now one) feed per day in the space of four days. Worked a charm, fwiw (although my cycle is still confused and my lp is only five days long Sad)
Best of luck with everything from here onwards! May you catch the first egg and avoid af for another 26 months! Grin

beth27123 · 15/04/2015 19:49

Hi ladies, just wondered if it's okay to slip in here? Still breastfeeding my 16mo and haven't had any sort of AF for 26 months now...! We've night weaned and dropped a fair few day feeds, had nights apart and she had a few bottles in the early days.

YokoUhOh · 15/04/2015 18:07

MrsMoo, you're looking for egg white cervical mucus (ewcm) so clear and kinda stretchy. Creamy is the worst - sperm can't swim through it :(

MrsMoo3 · 15/04/2015 08:30

Thanks Ruth, I didn't know that about the low chance. Not sure I could cope with lots of BFNs maybe cheap OPK is the way forward. Where did you get yours from?

Puggle, thank you for doing the hard work for us. What do you need to look for with cm?

Yoko, sorry to hear about AF, wow 2 and a half years!!! At least you know where you are now. Smile

Mumof1, sorry about the spots, I'd forgotten about all the joyful things a cycle brings!!

Feeling a bit meh today. Really tired as DS has a horrible cough and has been awake/coughing all night. However it is beautiful today. Maybe some time in the garden later, might try and leave work early. Hate leaving DS at nursery when he's not quite right Sad

Mumof1sofar · 14/04/2015 22:50

Welcome kitty & good luck Smile

Poor you lea. How long were your cycles before this one?

Yoko sorry to hear af arrived but that's exciting about your cbfm Thanks

I think I'm 6dpo now & I've got horrendous spots! Ugh I hope that's not a sign that af is on her way! Confused

YokoUhOh · 14/04/2015 21:52

My AF has arrived so I can start the ClearBlue monitor tomorrow.

Sorry to all those waiting for AF, I hope I'm proof that it does return eventually, although it was pretty much 2 and a half years for me.

Swannykazoo · 14/04/2015 21:03

Someone asked how useful Taking Charge of Your Fertility is - apologies can't remember who-
Now I've skip read it (Its v heavy and really needs to come out as a kindle episode ASAP!) -its fairly useful for a newcomer to the whole concept of looking for a cycle (no AF here, nearly 16 months breastfeeding with lots of night feeds still)
Pretty detailed explanation of temp charting and I think given my nights go up the wall with feeds 2 hrly from about 2 and also do oncall shifts for work its probably pointless for me.
I'll definitely be taking a new interest in cervical mucus though...
Definitely not considering any stick business until I've at least got some signs of a cycle

Sorry for saying hello on the last thread then disappearing. No sign of AF returning yet for me, although DS (12.5m) finally seems to have found an appetite for something other than milk, plus work has been crazy so I'm away from him for longer hours, so I'm hoping this might get things going.

Congrats to those who have got their BFP this month!

MrsMoo3 · 14/04/2015 17:51

In the same boat in limbo land. Also really interested to hear how those trying to catch the 1st egg have gone about it. Not sure temping will work for me as DS wakes up a lot early morning. Also can't be spending too much money on opk and hpt...

Leamice · 14/04/2015 17:44

Boo to AF mistletoe.

And Ruth, I'm right here with you in Limbo land!
CD106 or 107... I've lost count, my last AF was 27th December!! Thought I ov'd 2 weeks ago though my opk wasn't quite as dark as should be for a positive, anyway no AF, BFNs, probably didn't ovulate after all but when will this cycle end?! My opks are nearly positive again though but I have no other signs that Ov is approaching. I'm down to 2 BFs a day, surely I have to Ov soon?! I really didn't expect to be in this position, I figured once AFs would return I'd be able to just try for a baby when we were ready... Well I'm ready and my cycles disappear again!!
Sorry everyone, just went off on a "poor me" rant! Blush

kittyvet · 14/04/2015 16:02

So those of you trying for first egg how do you go about it? Are you checking temp and peeing on an OPK every day?
DD 6mths now and just started some solids but still feeding a lot. No AF yet. Would like to get preggers again ASAP.
I used clear blue fertility monitor and temp the first time round but that's going to be expensive! Maybe start with Internet cheapie OPK?

Mumof1sofar · 14/04/2015 15:34

Sorry af arrived mistletoe x

auxiliaryauroch · 14/04/2015 13:55

Ah ruth us post-cd25ers! Grin
