Mumofone - ooooooo vivid dreams Grin I have had absolutely zilch symptoms...nada Sad I keep poking my boobs but nothing happens Confused I had such a busy day full of distraction but yet I still can't stop thinking about it 24/7 Shock

Mumof1sofar · 26/05/2015 21:21

Btw last night I had a really vivid dream that I had a little boy! Maybe it's a sign..!

Mumof1sofar · 26/05/2015 21:19

Haha I love the "boob or prize" idea - genius, well done wax!

Ava good luck for Friday! I can't believe your restraint either. I would be poas every day but that's just me (plus I have about 6 hpts in the cupboard Blush)

Pear - any symptoms?

Leamice · 26/05/2015 20:35

Omg Ava, can't believe your restraint! I would have been poas and squinting days ago haha! So exciting though! And well done cutting down the BFs sounds like it's working out great.

Onecurrantbun · 26/05/2015 20:34

wax I also love the lucky dip idea and will be using it if needed. Similar to the dummy fairy who left.me a Polly Pocket when I was 3!

ava I find a high necked top with a vest underneath helps too... nothing with any cleavage! At 16m it's officially bed time only but there is almost always 1 or 2 night feeds too. However I do tend to have a 14/16 hour gap.

I hung onto the excess weight until af returned and I lost a stone within a month ?? I am currently within 2lb of my pre first baby weight - which I'm fine with.

Hope af stays away for you and Fx for.Friday.

AvaAmulet · 26/05/2015 19:13

Thanks everyone Blush Er, think I'm showing restraint re not poas as I'm honestly not convinced it'll be a bfp... Confused Wtf cycles while bf'ing mean I could possibly just be a couple of days late, and would've hopefully managed to increase my LP for future cycles....Wink

Thankfully, as I'll be at work tomorrow and Thursday my mind will be occupied... I'm not allowing myself to get excited until Friday...but I'm sure AF will rear her ugly head before then...Hmm

Wax, I cannot thank you enough for the weaning idea...I thought we might as well start as we mean to go on, and I can always replenish the bag of gifts as we go. It's worked 3 times today and I've got away with only feeding twice, for a couple of minutes each time, ALL day! More often than not the answer to "boob or prize?" when she asks for boob is "prize!" And she's loved rummaging for a gift to open, feeling them all, and choosing Grin When she's persisted and is adamant she wants boob I give in, but we've done great considering we've been at home all day - needless to say, a lot of our day has involved play-doh haha Wink

Swannykazoo · 26/05/2015 18:48

How many times -a lot! If I'm at work (4-5 days a week) its morning, 5pm on return, then after tea + getting into jammies then to sleep. Also co-sleeping so a fair bit overnight. Blush I';ve just stopped lunchtime expressing at work unless I'm at a peripheral clinic (hip hip hooray!)

He's allergic to dairy and soya + nuts so I've always planned to BF for longer as milk subsititutes aren't easy and he's always been a high needs baby! As a counter to fertility, all the dairy avoidance has led to me going from my usual 14/16 depending on activity level to an 8/10 - I was last an 8/10 when I went to big school so I think my body thinks its being starved.
Still maybe I'll have nonsense with DH sorted by the time fertility returns!
Big congrats for the BFPers and fingers crossed for the testing sooners....
Forgot to look for sticks in Aldi today (if they do them) so my phantom non-pregnancy can continue in my head

Onecurrantbun · 26/05/2015 18:05

ava!!!!!!!!!!!

peardrop2 · 26/05/2015 17:49

Ava, how on earth are you going to wait until Friday!!!! That's serious control Grin It will help me wait until Friday to test though! We could be testing buddies Wink

Trinpy · 26/05/2015 17:38

And sorry to hear you had a rubbish time with Dh on holiday puggle. I hope he gets his act together soon. How many times a day do you usually bf your dc?

Trinpy · 26/05/2015 17:36

ooh this is so exciting!! I really hope its a bfp for you this month Ava! I don't know how you can bear to wait so long to test!

MarysPrayer · 26/05/2015 17:18

Give me a 'B', give me an 'F', give me a 'P'! Go Ava Grin

waxweasel · 26/05/2015 17:12

Squeeeeeealllll!!!! So exciting Ava!!! I have my fingers crossed for you! POAS!!

AvaAmulet · 26/05/2015 16:31

Still no sign... Fx fx fx fx fx ..... Shock

Onecurrantbun · 26/05/2015 15:09

Hi everyone just catching up. Dd1 is also asking for another baby "cos theWeeble [her nn for dd2] is a TOGGLER now"... i agree that she is growing up but doesn't seem to want to leave the milk behind and is up in the night again... I'm thinking it's a development thing as her speech is really coming on now

Think I'm about 2dpo and keep having to slap myself..m of course I'm tired, I was up in the night, went out for a run and work in a farm / ice cream parlour and its half term so totes busy. But then I tell myself it's too early to know and neck a glass of wine

Swannykazoo · 26/05/2015 14:59

Cooeee! 17 months and still no sodding AF.
Have seriously fallen out with DH so the lack of AF is probably irrelevant though - felt like a single parent on holiday so I've no idea how we'd cope with a second as apparently only people with breasts can do pjs, bedtime etc.
Did notice my nipples are hurting on holiday which was probably down to my toddler refusing to drink water so feeding like a newborn again. I'm thinking about testing just in case but last time I had clear symptoms even with an initial BFN.

AvaAmulet · 26/05/2015 09:43

Hope you have a relaxing day, Auto, and a better sleep tonight Flowers

DD was coughing all last night (she's only just gotten over one bout of illness, too), although it didn't wake her up Confused, so I didn't sleep too well either and I had other things on the brain

Wax, thank you for the glow sticks idea - there were glow stick bracelets at the party on Saturday and she loved them Wink I switched TV channels the other day and she caught a glimpse of Dickinson's Real Deal where money was being counted on the table - she got excited and shouted 'holiday money!' And asked to see the clip again and again Blush Think she's going to be a banker .... Or a Clarks shoes sales assistant, as she loves shoes and, again, has more than I do .... Grin

Still no sign of AF and no symptoms whatsoever of anything... Can't help but think this still hasn't our month, though ... Hmm, will keep you updated... Hmm

If she doesn't show up between now and Thursday, I'll pop to boots in my lunch break on Thursday and buy some tests for Friday, fmu Wink x

MarysPrayer · 26/05/2015 09:32

I know what you mean Ava, dd never shuts up is a good talker. I think it's a girl thing!

AvaAmulet · 26/05/2015 09:24

Pear, DD puts 4-5 word sentences together, though sometimes in the wrong order, and makes up songs... All children seem to develop different skills at different times, I'm sure DS will become a chatterbox soon - then you won't be able to get him to pipe down - and he too will possess the ability to say the most inappropriate thing at totally the wrong time just to embarrass you in public haha Wink

autonomousplum · 26/05/2015 08:28

So she's now taken to instead waking me up repeatedly to check whether I've grown four babies yet. Joy.
Hahahahahah! This made my day! Grin

waxweasel · 26/05/2015 08:23

Oh poor you auto! Hope you can whack CBeebies on and get some rest x

waxweasel · 26/05/2015 08:21

Eeee good luck Ava!! Really hope the plan works. I'm feeling honoured you're giving my idea a try! If you're looking for other things to add, glow sticks were a winner with my DD in her stocking (and cheap - loads in a packet), and also cheap notebooks and normal grown up biro pens so she can 'work'. Fingers crossed it works! We had another full milk-free daytime yesterday, apart from one small episode where she tripped and bumped her nose and got upset. Felt too mean to deny her, dont want it to feel like a punishment so I let her have some. Onto day 3!

My DD loves money and counting it too - so strange isn't it? She never asks for specific presents, she will always ask for 'money for a X'. Why not just ask for the thing she wants??

And the baby thing....jesus. My DD is utterly obsessed. A few nights ago my DH told her she needed to start sleeping nicely and letting mummy sleep or there wouldn't be a baby. She nodded and said 'hmm, want four babies. FOUR.' So she's now taken to instead waking me up repeatedly to check whether I've grown four babies yet. Joy.

Pear, I think boys are just different at this age! All the ones I know seem less verbal. Apparently DH didn't speak until he was 4! So maybe you just have one of those quiet, contemplative sorts :)

Mumof1sofar · 26/05/2015 08:14

Poor you auto. Hope you can get a rest today.

autonomousplum · 26/05/2015 07:55

Morning guys! pear ava any updates? living vicariously through others Grin

6dpo for me and a big temp drop. It was a really crappy night's sleep though so I'm blaming that rather than the more obvious explanation which is that af is, in her usual short as shit fashion, on her way after another 5day lp. Regardless of the progesterone.
I managed about one hour sleep in total last night. DC is sickly and since we share a room and co-sleep I can hear every struggling breath and every little moan during the night. yawn No idea why the feck dh doesn't also wake up. Envy

and my temp three hours later was a whole degree higher anyway

peardrop2 · 26/05/2015 07:22

Ava - I find it so odd to hear that your dd is pining for a baby. Only because my ds still doesn't say one word at 24 months. I'm pretty sure he likes being the only child though Grin I can't imagine him communicating about it! It's very sweet of your dd though Smile

Any news this morning? I love your weaning plan Smile
