Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Easter Smile

Cd14 and still getting flashing smiley (day 3 of flashing smileys now). Guess I just have to ride it out! I will try and attempt dtd tonight but we will have to skip tomorrow because DH is working so will be shattered. I'm not even sure if he will manage tonight after work Confused I have so many spots thanks to my estrogen levels Blush

Thank Ava . I did sleep better Smile

AvaAmulet · 15/05/2015 23:29

Pear, I've taken to retiring to bed after dtd with a pillow under me to prop my bottom half up Wink Blush

Yeah, you're right, my temps plateaued for 2 days at ov before going up last month Wink

Hope you sleep better tonight! And fx for static Smile tomorrow x

Mumo, I've had a couple of tiny ones break out today too Sad fx it's not a sign of AF for you x

Mumof1sofar · 15/05/2015 23:01

Good luck Lea Smile I've got everything crossed for you.

Don't know why I'm so chilled out this cycle- I think because ov passed me by in the blink of an eye so I felt it was over before it had begun. I've got lots of spots appearing on my chin... Think it's a sign af is on her wicked way Hmm

Hope you get your static asap pear Smile

peardrop2 · 15/05/2015 22:47

Ava - thanks Smile I always find it hard to sleep well after dtd because my mind is thinking about leakage so I find it hard to relax. Didn't you find last cycle that you had delayed temps? FC for tomorrow hug!

peardrop2 · 15/05/2015 22:27

Auto - in my experience it is normally when I'm least expecting something to happen in my cycle when something finally happens so keep looking for signs Smile Tomorrow could be your day Smile I know how utterly soul destroy you probably feel though & fed up?!

Lea -- ooooo how exciting!! Keep us posted!

Mumofone -thanks for the positive vibes! I am praying that the smiley turns static tomorrow. Half of me is doubting that it will though. Trying to take deep breathes Shock

AvaAmulet · 15/05/2015 22:17

Good luck Lea!x

And tell me about it re telling people you wanted a small age gap...I've moaned on the last couple of threads about this. My 'plan' was going perfectly until this stumbling block (house, marriage, first dc etc all by a certain age) and everyone knows I wanted my second dc at 35 (not happening unless I get a bfp this cycle Hmm) and people keep reminding me of the fact too Hmm I've learnt to just smile and say sweetly "we're just focussing on DD right now" Blush Only my parents and sister know the truth...x

Leamice · 15/05/2015 20:14

Hi Wax and Spark, good luck :)

Sorry you're feeling down Auto.

You're cycles sound promising Pear and Ava, will be nice if you both get BFPs together.

Mumo, sounds like you've been quite relaxed about ttc this tww so that makes me think could be good news for you too.

I'm thinking about testing tomorrow, if I did OV when CB digi said then I'll be 14dpo, I had a faint bfp by then with my DS so I'll know either way. I was testing everyday with IC opks and Hpts but ran out a couple of weeks ago and decided not to get more. Once my cycles kick start again, I will temp and DTD EOD, we are still DTD EOD (more or less) at the moment just in case...

Also, I'm starting to regret telling people that we wanted a small age gap between DCs as people have started asking, can't believe I thought it be so simple as to choose age gap! Blush xx

Mumof1sofar · 15/05/2015 19:20

Thanks Ava Smile

Pear, I would count 13/14 days after your fixed smiley & you will probably get af/bfp then... Bfp of course, I have a good feeling for you Smile

Welcome wax & sparkles & good luck.

Good luck this month auto Smile

AvaAmulet · 15/05/2015 16:49

Sorry to hear you're feeling down, Auto Flowers

autonomousplum · 15/05/2015 15:57

Hello new people! manages feeble wave
Cd14. No hint of anything happening at all. Just feel down. May your weekends be utterly wonderful please! Need some good cheer! Up conception while bfing!

AvaAmulet · 15/05/2015 15:34

Hi Waxweasel, I can't offer any advice, I'm afraid but I too am in the same boat as you in a couple of ways. I am hoping that DD self-weans if I ever when I get pg again, if not before. She goes through periods of not being v.interested to demanding the boob like her life depends on it Hmm I too have only one milk filled boob since DD lost interest in the right one at approximately 12 months Confused Been feeding on just the left for the last 12 months or so (I'm not lopsided though tg! Wink) Good luck x

Welcome Sparkles, I too am 35 but my DD has just turned 2. Some women on here have had bfp's despite feeding lo's on demand so I wouldn't worry about weaning her just yet if you don't want to and she's happy Smile I totally recommend temping and using opks to accurately identify your fertile windows. Good luck with conceiving #4 x

Pear, sorry to hear about your rough nights sleep this week. I'm Hmm that my temps did not shoot up, as hoped, today... they increased a little but not to above my cover line Sad Hoping it's just because I also had a crappy sleep. Fx tonight will be better and I'll see a higher increase tomorrow Confused x

sparklesandfizz · 15/05/2015 13:52

Hi there everyone. Wondering if I can join you lot.
Am 35 and cycle 2 ttc #4. I have dd 8, ds 6 and dd2 9 mths.
Still breastfeeding upto 5 times in 24 hrs so feel things maybe more tricky this time round.
Baby loves her milk and I don't want to wean if I can help it as she's still so little. Although just trying to cut out one of the night feeds with some success over last 2 nights.

I am very lucky?!? ( can't believe I just said that ) that af returned immediately following all 3 of my deliveries. Am regular 28 days so cN I assume I am ovulating?

Af next due 22/5 so now well into tww.

Hopeful as dtd plenty at approx the right time although I guess that prolactin floating around can inhibit things - would be grateful for any knowledge you guys have gleaned over your time ttc whilst BF.

waxweasel · 15/05/2015 11:17

Ps best of luck to all of you TTC and in the hopeful waiting period before you can test xx

waxweasel · 15/05/2015 11:16

Hello! I'm sorry - I've not read the thread or the earlier ones, but saw the title and wondered if I could join in?? I'm not actively TTC (yet...) because my 23mo is still feeding like a thing possessed, including pretty constantly through the night. I would love another baby (as would she - she keeps getting friends' babies in a headlock and trying to claim them as 'mine baby sister!!!!') but am just afraid she won't wean during the pregnancy and I'll be stuffed. I cant tandem feed as only have one side that seems to work properly.

But, er, I also DTD last night and have now realised it's probably my ovulation window right now. I have a really irregular cycle so hard to know. So now I'm in a fug of hopeful excitement and also panic at how the hell to make the toddler wean (and let me sleep more than 2 hours a night...) if I am up duffed.

Any tips? Would love to hear success stories of toddlers who have been weaned while still v attached to breastfeeding as a comfort thing, or of those types of toddlers who have weaned themselves during pregnancy when you never thought they would!

peardrop2 · 15/05/2015 04:10

Btw I'm not sleeping at all well this week so charting my temp is just out the window Confused

peardrop2 · 15/05/2015 04:09

Mumofone - Aww I hope you're right Smile I'm not sure what will happen to my cycle length now that it looks like I'm ovulating early. If I have another 31 day cycle then AF is due in 19 days on June 2nd. Best of luck for Monday!!! I hope the weekend flies by for you with a happy ending Wink

AvaAmulet · 14/05/2015 23:45

Mumo, It only takes once at the right time to get a bfp and you managed to dtd twice! An egg can be fertilised up to 36 hours after ov so you timed it right! How cool would it be to get your bfp the month you are most chilled about it all and least expect to - I love irony Grin And, btw, I had no symptoms whatsoever with DD until I was 4-5 weeks Wink

(Then they all came with a vengeance, but I'll cross worrying about that bridge if I ever when I get to it x)

Good luck for Monday x

Mumof1sofar · 14/05/2015 23:06

Eek Ava, sounds really positive for you! Fx it's your month.

Pear I have a good feeling about you too... When are you testing?

Thanks Ava- I thought the same about a boy! It's so weird but this month I feel ridiculously chilled out about it. I would honestly be SO surprised if it was my month... Really don't think it is as I just don't think we dtd enough. I have had absolutely no symptoms. On Sun it will be 14 days after I got my +ve opk so if af hasn't arrived I'll test on Mon.

AvaAmulet · 14/05/2015 22:52

No pressure at all then lol Grin

I'll do my best Wink

peardrop2 · 14/05/2015 22:42

Hahahah Ava...I'm so counting on you going first so that I can quickly follow Wink

AvaAmulet · 14/05/2015 22:40

Thanks Pear Blush

God, I am so ready to graduate this thread now too... Hmm

peardrop2 · 14/05/2015 22:18

Ava - well that's silly of you to think that your chances are tampered by bf because we see so many ladies on this thread say "yay I've got my bfp and I'm still bf" Grin Could be you!!!

I am dangling legs in air. So grateful to be in this position...literally!! Please God may this be the last time I have to go through this stress.

AvaAmulet · 14/05/2015 16:27

Mumo, when are you testing? Just re-read your post - you're definitely not out this month - you dtd the day of ov and the day after, right? You're still in, but more likely to conceive a boy Wink Good luck x

Is anyone else currently in/almost in the 2ww with me, Pear and Mumo? (Sorry if I've missed anyone out)

I'm at work today but I'm having trouble focussing Blush ... I feel more hopeful for the two of you, Pear & Mumo, as I've not yet managed to consistently cut down on feeds but... fx fx fx for all of us .... x

I must not symptom spot

AvaAmulet · 14/05/2015 10:09

Thanks Ruth, I got my positive opk yesterday which let me know I should ov in the next 24 hours, and lo and behold I've had my temp drop today at cd15. If I get a good increase in temps tomorrow (above my cover line) I'll know I definitely ovulated on cd15, which would hopefully give me an 11-12 day lp Smile

Actually feeling quite excited and positive about it all again now. I really thought I'd be automatically out this month with all the feeds due to illness in the first half of my cycle. Sooo pleased and relived that I've ov'd after all. DD's cold is gone and her cough is a lot better now, so if I can bf as little as I have done over the last 36 hours for the entire 2ww I'm hoping I'll be giving myself the best possible chance of getting that elusive bfp Smile

.....And weaning altogether by 2.4, my desired cut off point, but 'baby steps' lol Wink....
