All ages and age gaps welcome!

I'm 29, have a 16mo DS, TTC since periods came back in July 2014, had a mc in Jan.

Anyone else?

Pixie - no idea if this is right or not but today my lovely GP told me not to run if trying to conceive. I've never heard that before!

Pixie2015 · 02/07/2015 20:27

Hi also been reading not posting - I just want one of us to get a positive for a bit inspiration CD 22 here haven't got a good feeling no early signs - now month 7-8 post mc with perfect 28d cycles give or take an hour - would have started maternity leave by now if not for mc! Never mind will keep working and drinking sensible amounts !

Bought some new running clothes though might inspire a bit more exercise - we'll see. Also bought new summer clothes in sales as had put off before just incase waist line expanded !

Hope all tests go well and poas go well - have a couple of ovulation sticks that never used from the month I tried them - think might just wee on one to just see two lines!

Watching love island to see a little romance !

Good luck and fingers crossed all

P.s Dtd in a tent doesn't sound appealing!

marmitemofo · 02/07/2015 18:17

p.s. good luck with the bloods raeside and the scan woundbobbin. fx for you both

marmitemofo · 02/07/2015 18:16

deffo too hot for shagging raeside.. Mr Marmite decided he wanted one last night as AF due today and usually lasts 7-8 days and I am not on board with sex during that time. and I can tell you it was definitely a bit of a gross sweaty mess haha Blush

No AF today wooo! feel like every day is a milestone reached. if AF doesn't arrive I'll try to hold out till Sunday as my sister is here till then and I won't be able to hide my disappointment/joy either way. I'd love to tell her I'm ttc but I know she'd let slip to my mother who I just know would keep going on about it (she's been asking me when me and DP are going to TTC #2 for at least six months). but on the other hand Sunday is so far away...

woundbobbin · 02/07/2015 18:03

Also lurking about wanting to post positive not negative news!
We had so many BFP's at the start the thread is is a BFN slump come on carrot you can do it for this month!
I'm CD4 today having a pelvic ultrasound in a week to see why things are all a bit weird hoping that will give me some answers - would love to know one way or the other I hate the "not knowing".
Good luck everyone in the TWW, enjoy some cider in the garden everyone in the early CD's and cool shagging conditions for everyone in the shagathon!

Raeside · 02/07/2015 14:08

Hi all - sorry yes also been lurking but not posting.

Cd14 here so it's now or never I guess this month. Too hot to consider shagging yesterday! Been 12 months of trying now for us, and I'm 41 in ten days, so I think time is running out. GP sending me for a blood test on CD21 and I think maybe my husband can go spunk in a pot (that'll be fun for him!) and we will see if there's anything going on or it's just bad luck.

Good luck everyone on the 2ww!

marmitemofo · 02/07/2015 11:45

Hi Carrot, I've been lurking on the board but it hasn't been too active so haven't said much. Good luck with POAS tomorrow! fx for you Smile.

11dpo today so I POAS this morning and got a BFN. sad times. I thought I could see an extremely faint line but I showed it to DP and he couldn't see anything, so expect it was wishful thinking. My sister is staying for a couple of days so may not test until Sunday if AF doesn't show up. If I can hold out that long...

emflat sorry to hear you're having a tough time of it at the moment. moving house is so stressful, so not surprised ttc has taken a back seat. When we bought our current house I was 6 1/2 months pregnant when we moved in, was extremely stressful. We had put an offer in when I was 8 weeks so it took a long time to complete due to one of the sellers (it was a divorce sell) being very difficult - not signing things, not responding to emails/letters/answering his phone etc. I remember him trying to delay it another month and me ringing up the estate agents and having an absolute meltdown and playing the pregnancy card big time. definitely don't want to move for a very long time unless we absolutely have to.

mrsmugoo hope your bloods come back ok. as for sex in a tent I can understand what you mean haha, I haven't done that since me and DP were much younger (we got together when we were 19, and now I'm about to turn 30!) but maybe a change of scene will do the trick Wink

EmFlat · 02/07/2015 10:18

Hey Carrot - just quiet because I'm fed up of the whole thing ;) Haven't really made the effort ttc this month, dtd on Sunday and was supposed to last night but DH and I had a row instead... moving house, ttc, it's all too busy at the moment.

Think I ov'd a day or two ago so it may be too late for this month anyway :( Grumpy me.

You okay otherwise?

CarrotPuff · 02/07/2015 09:16

Very quiet on here, is everyone hiding from the heat?

AF is due today, although I think if I did ovulate, it would have been due earlier. But as I don't know this for sure I will just go with my "standard" cycle. Will buy some sticks when I go to pick up DS from nursery today and POAS tomorrow...

mrsmugoo · 30/06/2015 13:50

Hi - CD20 here and am going in for my bloods tomorrow.

Didn't DTD at all this month anywhere near my fertile window due to being at Glastonbury with our LO, even though I got the most EWCM ever (sorry for TMI!) on day 16, so I think I OV'd on day 17 or 18 which would be normal for me. I didn't temp or do OPKs this month so I can't confirm.

I'm going on holiday on Thursday and am due on right in the middle of my holiday so really hoping for not a repeat of last months absolute haemorrhage situation!!

My DH is working at a festival right in the middle of next months fertile time so probably out for next month too but I might go with him (and leave DS with my parents), so never say never. Although tent sex doesn't really appeal to be fair.

Tfoot75 · 29/06/2015 18:18

Cd17 here but haven't noticed any obvious ov signs (not temping or anything) quite relaxed about it this month and v busy, so not expecting anything (although it's the final week when imaginary symptoms start to appear!)

marmitemofo · 29/06/2015 14:04

sorry to hear AF got you woundbobbin. Early periods suck. I know it means you don't get the last few nerve-wracking days before AF is due, but it's also a nasty surprise. At least when AF comes when it's due you're half expecting it which takes the sting out of it a bit.

it's so hard coping with the disappointment isn't it? I find that I go through a rollercoaster of emotions from disappointment/sadness, to hopeful and optimistic, to pessimistic, then back to optimistic again. and then AF turns up and I go through the whole thing again...

I'm due Thurs/Fri. Really not feeling positive this month. Spent the weekend with my DP's brother and SIL who is 6 months pregnant and it was fine but there were a few moments where I felt rubbish and jealous and then stupid for feeling jealous Sad

woundbobbin · 29/06/2015 12:58

Fx for you marmite & carrot.
CD1 for me which was a bit of a shock as not due AF till Thursday glad in a way that I missed the anxious last few days but obviously disappointed feel like it's going to be hard to pick myself up and move on to the next cycle.

marmitemofo · 29/06/2015 12:09

Hope you're right this month carrot! Last month I was convinced I was pregnant, this month despite using opks and catching the surge, and having lots of sex, I just can't see it happening. Am 8/9 dpo so going to test on Thursday if I can hold out who am I kidding I'm not going to be able to hold out

CarrotPuff · 29/06/2015 11:46

Welcome newbies, have some Cake

Curly sorry to hear about your horrific pregnancy/birth experience, lets hope it will be plain sailing next time!

Torfhinn this too shall pass Wink

I'm convinced I'm preggo this month like every month although I didn't get any ovulation symptoms Hmm and I don't have any pg symptoms either But if I did, I think I ovulated earlier than usual. Going to POAS on Friday...

OP posts:
marmitemofo · 26/06/2015 21:47

hi newbies Grin

oh no torfhinn the dreaded molars! with my DD it took 8 weeks for molars to come through and we had horrific sleep throughout. she's teething her canines now and sleep has gone out the window again. does not help with TTC and I'm paranoid the stress of lack of sleep won't help with conceiving but bugger all I can do...

5dpo here and the tww is dragging. think I'm due on next Tues/weds with my 10 day lp but prob won't test till next Thurs/Friday as can't deal with a bfn. I'm temping though so will probably know in advance Confused

Torfhinn · 26/06/2015 19:33

welcome lollipop, fancyface and curly!

Very little to report here except dh is not well and due to treatment etc. we are talking a month or two off from ttc. We just dont need the stress at the same time. Not to worry though, it's not too serious and we'll be back to it soon! I'm actually enjoying the break Smile

Also ds is teething his first molars Shock so there's not a lot of time for anything else!

Sorry, can't reply properly to everyone as on phone, fx for everyone!

Pixie2015 · 26/06/2015 15:46

Hi all and newbies - just preparing for 2ww we are surely due a big BfP's soon.

Fingers crossed all who are trying and testing this weekend - was going to use ovulation stick just to see two lines but couldn't be bothered to open packet!
Have great weekend x

EmFlat · 24/06/2015 19:03

Ugh - I meant 'a month OFF ttc' - stupid phone.

EmFlat · 24/06/2015 19:02

Hope you have a good time, Mrs :) I've only done Glasto once when I was at uni! Remember it being an awesome experience ;)

Who knows, maybe a month of ttc will do us both good? There's a stupid saying that you fall pregnant the moment you stop trying (like you meet someone the moment you stop searching, etc)... which scarily did happen for my sister! 18 months of ov counting etc and she gave up... then my niece arrived 9 months later!

Marmite, I know how you feel! Bloody shattered and relishing the early nights of a week off ;) Although Flo is leaving now so I'll be back on the horse tomorrow - ha, poor hubby!

Hi Curly :) join the ranks of hormone-loopy ladies! ;)

Curly86 · 24/06/2015 15:39

Hi Ladies

Can I join? I have a DS who turns 1 next week!!!! Where did that time go?? Husband has been pestering for another baby for last 3 months and I've given in; now or never; had a horrible pregnancy last time a horrific birth and 4th degree tear; should get my period this weekend; although not 100% as not great at remembering to take the pill and stopped taking it completely a couple of weeks ago; last time I came off the pill I was abit all over the place and took agnus cactus to help; really would like to fall quickly (wouldn't we all) as heavily pregnant in summer again doesn't appeal!! Last time I used ovulation sticks and temperature charting but actually fell from getting blind drunk and not remembering we had done it! How romantic so this time I think I'll go with the flow...for now (knowing I'll be an ovulation sex crazed mad woman by the end of the month!) xx

marmitemofo · 24/06/2015 07:16

heh you're probably right emflat just worried we might have depleted his sperm count a bit! we were DTD every other day past couple of months with no luck, though there were a few nights late in the cycle where I was away/we went two days without sex, so may have missed ov. who knows. we're both a bit knackered from DTD so much recently - must be feeling our age! not young and able to be at it like rabbits anymore haha

mrsmugoo hope you enjoy Glasto! is there a reason you can't DTD there? I'm from Bristol originally and went a lot in my teens/early-mid twenties (about 9 years of glasto overall i think) and loved it, last time I went was two years ago when I was 5 months pregnant with DD! was a bit of a different festival experience haha. not sure we'd go again purely coz can't be arsed with the effort!

mrsmugoo · 23/06/2015 22:41

Hi Emflat yes I remember you from our antenatal thread!
I'm good and so is DS. We're currently under canvas at Glastonbury (somewhat glamping though I have to admit)
I'll be oving here over the weekend so highly doubt we'll be DTD so almost definitely out this month.

EmFlat · 23/06/2015 21:06

Well, MrsMugoo, except for the torturous ttc / crushing disappointment of AF arriving this month :(

Same here :( def Flo, not IB and I actually cried.

EmFlat · 23/06/2015 20:58

Heheh, Marmite, is there such a thing as too much sex when you're trying to conceive?? >_< DH and I dtd every other night (ish) from the end of AF until just before the next one arrived. Not sure whether to do the same again this month... although, we're moving house in 4 weeks so may just leave the ttc until August.

MrsMugoo, is that you??? We were on the March 2014 threads together... I was just thinking of all the gals I chatted to as our babies were arriving and afterwards! I could only remember your name and IceNoSlice :/

How are you?
